Players can create a nation inspired by history through an application process, and from there how they act is up to them. War is a feature, but how significant it is to gameplay depends on the actions of the players. The nature of the concept means that we're heavily invested in maintaining a mature playerbase, so the server is whitelisted and people who would like to join have to be accepted individually. We have a small but friendly community and we are looking to grow and one of our players suggested that I use reddit to try and advertise the server. Our server is focused on providing a pure survival experience without any admin intervention. One of the main reasons I fell in love with Minecraft is because of the freedom that it provides. The idea that there are no limits and that I can do whatever I want to. That type of good ol' survival gameplay is what our server tries to provide. There's many survival/vanilla servers right now and I've played a lot of them but none of them seem to be what I would think is my ideal server. Pure vanilla servers do not have a /tpa command which forces most players to live alone and in isolation especially when they get really far from spawn. That's why on my server everyone has /tpa so you are able to play with friends. Then there's Anarchy servers where there are no rules. The problem I have with these type of servers is that they always end up being infested with cheaters who X-ray bases and speed/fly hack around the map. I want a server where the players do not use hacked clients and play legit which is why on my server we have simple rules: No hacking/X-raying. In short, my server, RusticMC, is a pure survival server that provides players with a good ol' survival experience. Outside of me, our server has no staff so you don't have to worry about abusive admins or staff interfering in the gameplay. Outside of the simple rules (No hacking), you have complete freedom to do whatever you want to within the server. There is no world border and no vanilla features have been edited/changed. If you've watched Mindcrack or Hermitcraft or Sci Craft, our server is similar to those in that there's really great relationships to be made, lots of interaction and collaboration. We always have around 4 players online at the least, and this shuffles so you get to meet people from all timezones depending on what time you're playing. We've managed to do some really impressive builds and huge projects so far, both as a community and people doing their own things individually. It is a relatively new server, offering up to 10 player slots, several of which are up for grabs. Due to its recent status, the world is still largely in development, with its scope quickly expanding. The goal is to eventually reach an active, world-integrated economy where trade and interaction are major aspects of the community. There will be a designated currency, permitting all members to engage in trade without the hassle of a bartering system. Through the years we have made many friends who we still talk to on a day to day basis. With experience, we decided to depart our previous communities and lead our own Minecraft server, focusing on a more community social aspect of gaming. The server keeps to it's basics, providing minor quality of life changes. We also have a live map and use several background plugins to connect our discord with in-game chats, log block and container changes to ensure players time spent on the server building their creations are protected. This server was created because of a mix combination of several events, mainly the decline and inactivity of another skyblock server (please see the discords description for more information) that has been open since 2013, but has declined from 550 daily players to ~2 due to inactivity. 🌸 What does Sakura Island plan to offer? 🌸 Sakura Island will re-create the idea of playing skyblock. This ranges from exceptionally customized islands such as 512x512 islands, 16 players per island, and island permissions. The server will also soon have plugins that are dedicated to non skyblock servers such as McMMO, alongside a unique shop with tons of items to offer (coming soon). 🌸 We need help! 🌸 The server has started on June 17th, 2019 and were looking for beta testers to come help out test new commands, permissions, and islands. During the beta phase of Sakura Island, players may suggest or send schematica downloads to play their own created island on Sakura Island. Were also looking for players who know how to configure plugins. Players who help (actually) participate in the beta phases of Sakura Island will obtain an exceptionally higher chance at obtaining staff or builder ranks. (Disclaimer: Activity and dedication is required to obtain any staff/builder rank.
