Overview Although this is Season 2, our core playerbase has been together for 5 servers now since early 2020. Last season we decided to Start our own server properly instead of finding new servers for our large group, this was a great success. Although we have a staff team consisting of 7 well trusted members, we like to make decisions as a community. Staff's main responsibilities are to make sure the server is running well, cheaters are caught and everyone is having fun! Version & Start Date We will start Sakuracraft after minecraft 1.18 is released, however we require an updated version of coreprotect before then. This plugin is to help staff catch cheaters and reverse any griefing, therefore it is essential. Coreprotect is normally updated very quickly as plenty of servers rely on it. Our start date is projected to be Friday the 3rd December, just a couple days after 1.18 is out. This date is not final and may be pushed back. We are accepting applications and planning well in advance to ensure everything goes smoothly at launch. We want to attract players who will stay with us for the long run and not players who will join once, build a house, then leave. Rules We have ZERO TOLERANCE for some actions. The full rules are listed in our discord but are pretty simple if you have common sense. We will never ease off on the rules, in the past we have banned long term players after it was discovered they had been cheating. It was not fun for anyone, don't make us do it again. Semi vanilla We aim to have a handful of plugins/ datapacks, (micro blocks, player/ mob heads, armor stands) Nothing that will change the core game. Some of our favorites are Dynmap, and a bot where ingame players can chat to the discord (and vice versa). Note: we may have to wait for some plugins to be updated for 1.18. We plan to continue running on yatopia which is well optimized for large groups of players. Seed The seed will be predetermined by staff to ensure everyone has access to the biomes they want within reasonable distance of spawn. The seed will never be made public, however Dynmap will reveal the preloaded area of the overworld and nether. Application If you think Sakuracraft is for you, follow the link below to apply. | Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:44 AM PST Welcome, Neighbors! WHY HOMESTEADCRAFT? HomesteadCraft is an RPG-inspired adult MC server with a vanilla-feel; think vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. In order to create a server with that old-school RPG feel, we use a few plugins, including: McMMO- A skill-leveling, perk-unlocking masterpiece! Such skills include Acrobatics, Archery, Unarmed, Excavation, Herbalism, Alchemy and many more. Acuteloot- Adds literally BILLIONS of unique named items. With billions of names, over 15 different special effects (check out the arrow-riding enderbow or the timewalker boots!), different particle effects and a rarity system, the combinations are practically limitless. Find AcuteLoot items in naturally-spawned chests or get lucky when enchanting to roll the dice! You'll probably notice the health bars floating above mobs now, too. There's also damage counters when you hit them. Outside of the RPG-inspired plugins, we also use a claims plugin. Since this is a grief-free server (see rules below), you can imagine this one helps prevent a LOT of things. With an easy-to-use GUI, you can set permissions to control who may or may not build, open chests, place lava, break blocks or even set an enter/exit message to display to visitors inside each of your claimed areas. We currently have a world border of 7k in each direction from spawn, making sure you'll always have a place to build or explore, with future expansions planned for each major update. A THRIVING COMMUNITY With an admin team that strives to assure constant 20TPS, and a friendly and helpful mod team, we try to build a close-knit community of friends from all over the world who just want to hangout with other adults and play some Minecraft. There are hidden ruins around the world, fun but balanced custom items, special mobs and so on, so plenty to do outside of PVP and war! Interestingly, there is no TP or /shop on this server, and certain items can only be found in certain 'zones'. This promotes really cool trade, where a nation living in the desert may export gold they mined to people living in the grasslands in exchange for food! Make a town in a special area and become the primary exporter of a certain item to the rest of the server! Use your wealth to bribe other towns to go to war for you. While yes you can be killed thousands of times and have everything that you build be destroyed, its that fragility that makes what you make have even more value. Anarchy Minecraft offers a much more challenging experience that is way more gratifying than normal survival. This is due to the more dangerous player base and hacking.
