It is currently the largest and fastest growing 1.17 Anarchy server. Created 4 months ago, Phoenix Anarchy is past +10,000 unique joiners, +900 discord players, +40 average server population. 1.17 Minecraft "Anarchy Servers" are servers that usually have no rules, no bans, no map resets, and traditionally allow the use of hacks/exploits and "hacked clients". The most famous of these servers is 2b2t.org, which runs on Minecraft 1.12 and is, as some claim, the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft (most notably YouTuber FitMC, Youtuber SalC1 and Youtuber fastvincent1). The server rose to more main-stream popularity after June of 2016 when a YouTuber by the name of TheCampingRusher streamed himself as he played on the server. TheCampingRusher's video sparked a new wave of joins to the already years-old server. This ignited a war referred to as the "Rusher War", between new-join viewers of TheCampingRusher's videos, and the existing player base of the server. | Posted: 13 Nov 2021 06:31 AM PST We are a longstanding SMP with currently ~15 active players and we are looking for more! A few players have been there since the early days, others since last year, and a few joined only recently.
Our main guideline to leave the "meta" of pure vanilla survival as unaltered as possible (for a public server). The only 3 plugins that interfere with this are: GriefPrevention, a sleep voting plugin, and player item shops for trading. That means as many features from other plugins you know from other servers are absent by design and won't be added. There are two ranks "new" and "player", they do not give any benefits. You can not buy "power" for real money here and we have no adminshops. What you have read so far sounds like your cup of tea? Well then you may fit right in. Laid back rules, a close knit community, having some events from time to time, and there is always something you can help with. Staff is usually available to help. Need help digging? Just died far away? No problem.We also have a Hermitcraft-like shop area for players using a trade shop plugin.
This is supposed to feel like a vanilla server. The main currency is diamonds. This is not enforced in any wat its just what everyone uses. We have no warps, you have to walk, or fly by elytra, or horse ot whatever.You can focus on long term projects, take your time, because we NEVER RESET the map. Leave for months, pick right up where you left. In over 6 years time we built a lot of farms and infrastructure. This makes it a lot easier to get going early in the game, especially for endgame players. But fear not, there is always need for expanding upon whats already there. The spawn city is protected. Areas there are released for community builds. Outside the city you can build your own base(s). You will get more claimblocks during play.
Hosted in Germany with 64GB Ram, a Ryzen 5 3600, and 512GB NVMe SSD; the server runs on Paper. Regarding updates we don't always run the latest version but we plan to update to every major release eventually.In case an update brings a big change in world generation (e.g. 1.16) we delete chunks that have been loaded less than 5 minutes. Meaning someone likely just passed by while exploring. For land claiming we use GriefPrevention, which lets you protect areas you selected with a golden shovel. You can allow certain or all players to build and or access chests/buttons, on your claim. It also protects your claims and the worlds surface from creepers. Then there is also a chest shop plugin. You can use iron nuggest to create villager-like trades. You can do this anywhere, but its recommended to do this in the shopping area or your claim. Harbor is a plugin which skips the night, if 50% or more players are in bed. Lastly there is one that lets you rotate Glazed Terracotta. Additionally we have some datapacks and tweaks: Ghasts don't break blocks. Shulkers respawn ~2 months after they were killed. You can silent mobs by naming them "silent" (undo with "unsilent"). Your first Enderdragon kill gets you an Elytra. Craftable Enchanted Golden Apples. Hermitcraft's posable Armorstands. At least compared to the typical Minecraft crowd, with the majority of us being in our 20's and 30's, but some even older (a few between 18 and 21 though). The youngest of us have old souls. The oldest of us are young at heart. And we run a Minecraft server that is very community based. We have a very well developed "home base" with people also developing their own remote HQ's. Plugins are largely vanilla, but additions do include single player sleep and MCMMO. We'd love it if you'd come join us. Right now, we have about 60 users, but about 20 that are very active. We try to be a tight-knit crowd, playing a lot of other games together as well (one of the more active ones is Sea of Thieves)...and weekly game nights on Tuesday nights for games like Cards Against Humanity and other similar "party" games (online). The server has some people (but not an overwhelming amount) on at all hours of the day, with users in Europe, Asia, and North America. It's not like the big public servers with tons of rules all over the screen and signs everywhere and unbuildable areas. It's basically totally vanilla with no restrictions, and if new players turn out to be griefers or trouble makers they just get banned and their changes are rolled back so it's not a big deal. Rather than having 1 person in charge of everything, like most servers, our SMP elects a president every 2 months. Every member gets a say in how the server develops, and who leads it. It is based on ideas from land claim servers, anarchy servers and civ servers but it doesn't fall within any of these categories.
