Golden sword should have slightly faster attack speed (1.8 instead of 1.6) Posted: 05 Feb 2019 09:16 AM PST Similarly to golden axes (which was slightly faster then wooden axe), this make golden sword different from wooden sword and also fits the "fast" nature of golden tools [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 12:08 PM PST Most people here either don't know the site exists or they are too lazy to make an account just so they could make one suggestion (I mean, it's annoying. I already have a minecraft account and an account for bug reporting. Almost like I have to create a new account for pretty much every mc-related site...) [link] [comments] |
A music will play during Wither fight and Raid Posted: 05 Feb 2019 08:19 AM PST It'll be a nice feel if a unique music will play for each event. [link] [comments] |
Barrels should only store one specific item (MumboJumbo inspiration) Posted: 05 Feb 2019 05:04 AM PST You can still open barrels like chest by I think it'll be unique and useful if it only takes on specific item, e.g. once a dirt is stored in the barrel, the whole empty space is just for dirt. Bone-mealing small flower-types produces more of those flowers, just as for large flower-types. Posted: 05 Feb 2019 11:19 AM PST Body: As the title suggests, just as you are currently able to bone-meal large flower types like Sunflowers, Roses, Lilacs and Peonies, I think you should be able to do the same to smaller flowers like Cornflowers, Dandelions, Tulips and others to farm more of their kinds. Further Comments and Arguments: As far as realism and consistency goes, this would be according to the same logic as is part of being able to do this with larger flowers. And as far as ease and challenge goes, this is no more a bypass or ease-of-access than it already is for larger flowers. It would save so much needless time bone-mealing plots of ground and harvesting, though that could still be a primitive way users could harvest flowers if they liked, just like stone-pickaxe mining is an optional primitive method to diamond pick-axe mining. This would still be costly as in the early game you don't have nearly enough bones to farm the flora you see. But as you progress and are able- perhaps- to find a skeleton spawner and exploit it for gain, things like fast flower farming would then become much more possible. Posted: 05 Feb 2019 11:37 AM PST A cake slice as an item would be great. The way it would work is that you left/right click the cake with any type of sword and it loses a piece but drops a slice of itself which can be eaten or placed back onto the cake. This is what the texture can look like.Cake slice texture [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Feb 2019 03:28 AM PST These are some changes to AI and status: •Slightly faster flying speed •Parrots should be able to glide that can last for a few seconds and is slightly faster than flying •Will fly more frequently •Can fly up to 90 blocks to travel far places (if untamed) •Will stay at the jungle if untamed •Can sometimes group up to 4 •Will try to fly away from the player •You need to stand still while holding a seed in order to tame it (like ocelots but yeah, its a bit annoying) •If an untamed parrot saw you attack one parrot, you'll not able to tame them and will try to fly away unless you wait for 1 in-game day for them to recover •Will sleep at night on top of a tree •Baby parrots anyone? I know some of you will disagree but I'm okay with it. [link] [comments] |
A brief list of some Vanilla Nether improvements as my first suggestion. Posted: 05 Feb 2019 10:55 AM PST As we all know, the Nether is in dire need of a massive update.
I know there are some datapacks & mods that do all these things, but it would be great to see them in Vanilla and to get a conversation going here. :) [link] [comments] |
The nether should be dangerous. Posted: 05 Feb 2019 09:21 AM PST Right now, though the nether looks scary, it's actually a lot less dangerous than the overworld, as long as you watch where you're going. The most common mob you'll encounter, zombie pigmen, don't even attack you unless you attack them first, and ghasts aren't really all that common. The nether biome is literally called "hell" internally, so shouldn't the nether be hellish to survive in? Some ideas:

Kelp, sugarcane and vines should have a growth variety like bamboos Posted: 05 Feb 2019 04:44 AM PST Cuz its kinda weird that they all grow at the same length, maybe some of them is 1-5 blocks shorter/longer especially vines (and sugarcane can now grow up to 5 blocks and it could be 1 block short) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 11:24 AM PST Hoppers should have an extra slot that, when an item is manually put in, would only accept that item. You'll get the item back when it's put in that slot. There should also be a button in the hopper menu that shows you what the hopper will accept. Attempting to remove the item from that menu will remove that item from the filter list. It won't give you the item though. The reason why I'm suggesting this is not only because it will allow us to filter out specific unstackable items, but also to help out with a problem where players could put in an item other than what is supposed to be in there which would end up breaking the machine that was built. Hoppers in real life already have some sort of filter anyway. Don't worry, it won't make redstone machines pointless. It's still needed to make it work. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 03:24 AM PST They live in desert, savanna, messa and in taiga biomes. They have 30HP. They are spawning in groups of ten(with cubs) . They are hostile. They drop leather and their mane(its used to upgrade your armor). Hunting: Sometimes, when they are hungry, they find an animal and attack it. If they don't eat for eight minecraft days, they slowly start dying. They attack animals from high distances. Animals try to run away if they see them. Breeding: You can breed them with raw meat and fish. You can rarely gain their trust. If they trust you, they are your pets. There are two types of tigers: normal and white. They spawn in taiga, savanna and tundra. They have 25 HP. They are hostile towards players. They drop leather. They love water. Hunting: Similar to lions, they hunt animals. They hunt fish, pigs and cows. They die after nine days of not eating. They attack the player by sneaking up to you. Be careful! They can climb a tree. Animals try to run away if they see them. Breeding : You can breed them with meat and fish. Sorry for my bad English. [link] [comments] |

Update 1.XY The Nature Update. Part 1/4 Posted: 05 Feb 2019 03:46 PM PST Okay, this is gonna have 4 parts, check the others when they are posted if you want to, but i am dividing them into,... comprehend-able sizes. (4th being about additions some of you might suggest in the comments)Alright. Let's Begin. B L O C K S .=.=.=.=.=.=|Weak Wood PlanksWeak wood can be crafted with 1 stick, 1 wood slab, and vines. By looking at crafting recipes, it is 1 stick short from being a "whole" plank. Weak Wood breaks when you stand on it for 5 seconds, even if there is a carpet or snow above it. it drops a vine when it breaks by standing on it. This can be used for traps, (and eventually maybe something in the second part) Paper LanternMade with 8 paper, and a basic lantern (in 1.14 snapshots) These Lanterns can be put anywhere unlike regular lanterns, but after 3 Minecraft days, they go out and need to be refilled with glowstone. Drops 3 paper when broken. Silo, and Silo PartsThe Silo is a multi block machine made of 3 block vertically. (Base, Storage, Storage) The Base is made by 5 iron, 1 gold, and 3 planks. The Storage is 6 stone, 2 iron, and a chest. The Silo stores a chest full but has 4 different inventories. However, can only contain food and ingredients (wheat, beetroot, malk, pumpkin pie) Store Stand Placing this down will make a blue villager spawn near the block, and when the block is picked back up it dies. It can trade certain Items that are not accessible nearby like emeralds and I T E M S -=-=-=-=-=-=-=|Tracker a Tracker is made with a compass, 4 iron, and 4 redstone. A tracker well, can be given to a wolf or cat to make them appear on the a map as a colored circle. This might help if you forget to sit your wolf down and it's circle is moving around. Cactus NeedlesUse shears on cactus to get Cactus Needles Cactus GrenadeMade with 4 Cactus Needles, 4 Green Carpet and 1 TNT to make 4 grenades. Can be thrown to spread cactus needles in a 5x5x5 area where it lands dealing damage but not destroying the landscape. What? Ending already? yep. I am not in the shower or doing something else that can make ideas easier than just staring at a screen [link] [comments] |
Rename the 'Debug Stick' to 'Magic Wand' Posted: 05 Feb 2019 04:11 PM PST 'Magic Wand' sounds a lot cooler than 'Debug Stick'. Besides, we already have 'sticks' in the game, I really don't think we need different 'types' of sticks. lol Give the item a brand-new texture (perhaps with a star on the end, like in cartoons). Give it a cool 'magical' partical effect. Would be spectacular if it were able to be crafted in Survival, but I'd understand if this wouldn't work. Maybe it could resemble the 'Elder Wand' from Harry Potter? Just spit-balling here. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] |
Different color Nether Portals Posted: 05 Feb 2019 02:53 PM PST We should be able to dye the nether portals different colors by holding a dye of choice in your hand, hover the crosshair over the portal and press LT or right click (depending on your platform). This feature would be a purely for aesthetics. Also to identify where a portal leads. For example, I could color the portal that leads to my house Blue. The blaze spawer, Red. My friends house, Green. So on and so forth. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 08:53 AM PST Asphalt looks similar in color and texture to concrete powder but with larger grains. It has no gravity and is made by smelting concrete powder. This would mainly be for creative players because we love to use powder but don't like it falling. Any person or mob that walks on it goes faster. This would be used in survival much like roads in real life, for fast travel. [link] [comments] |
Applying zombie villager curing procedure to a zombie pigman should result in a healthy pig. Posted: 05 Feb 2019 12:01 AM PST I think this would be a neat little easter egg like addition, never mind useful in skyblock-like or other challenge maps where passive mobs could be hard to come by. Why can't we enchant blocks in Minecraft? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 02:28 PM PST Why can't we enchant blocks in Minecraft? Currently Enchanting has a relatively short grind. Where you work your way up to max enchants, then you laboriously hunt for mending books. However, once you have the ultimate armor and or sword there is very little that enchanting can offer the player. This means the infrastructure used to attain the high ranks of enchanting, such as xp farms or killing dragons has not use for the well developed world. I suggest to infinity expand enchanting's end game that we allow block enchantments to exist. Almost all current enchants can be modified to fit with blocks in Minecraft. You could add unbreaking 4 to a block and have it immune to all but highly enchanted pickaxes. Adding fire aspect to wood would make it imperious to fire. Curse of Vanishing could even make a block not drop when broken. The cost of the enchantments would have to be adjusted, but if done correctly our current enchantments could take on a new life and take Minecraft building and even pvp to a new level, while also making the world more magical. Each door (and trap-door) design should be craftable from each wood type. (Iron Doors excluded) Posted: 05 Feb 2019 02:19 PM PST Abstract First off, I am not suggesting that the shape and color of each door design should be crafted by each wood type. The reddish barred door Acacia door should not be craftable from oak wood- this would make no sense. What I am suggesting is that the shape and form of each door type- whether the current Spruce style, Birch or others- be craftable into a variation according to each wood type. If my idea was implemented only with the current door designs (excluding Iron)- so 6 of them- there would be a total of 36 different door types resultant, because there are 6 designs and 6 wood types; and 36 different trap-door types resultant. Examples: A) Oak style doors with a large square windows carved into the top should have Acacia and Birch variants for example. B) Spruce style doors with their circular handles and vertical paneling should have Oak and Jungle variants. Countering Objections Objections from minimalism: These are "36 door types is excessive and will clog up the block menus" or "less is better, there's no need for more blocks like that". To this I'd rebut that Minecraft is and should always continue to be about open-endedness and limitless possibility. The more updates that come, the more full the menu's will become anyway, so this is not only inevitable but part of what Minecraft is to give maximum freedom and creative accessibility to players. I'd also add that as Minecraft's block menu's grow it will adapt and become easier and faster to use with the greater block additions, so I'd not fret about what so many new blocks would mean for menus. Objections from current order: These are "but the Spruce doors is iconic for being the Spruce door, that shouldn't change" or "but the Acacia door only works well with it's own style"- essentially clinging to the way things have been. To this, I'd rebut that Minecraft has, is and always will be changing. This can't be stopped. Villages will now look different. Villagers will. Quartz, Sandstone, the flora of the game- everything changes with time to make Minecraft more expansive, rich and diverse. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 06:10 AM PST Mojang should add zombie illagers in 1.15 because when zombies kill illagers, they never infect them. Illagers will now also attack zombies and here are some Zombie Illagers: Zombie Vindicator: Like Vindicator but wont kill zombies and will infect illagers and villagers even if you name him Johnny Zombie Evoker: Same but summons chicken jockeys instead of vexes More Coming Soon [link] [comments] |
