one of the wandering trader's lama should have a chest attached to it having a random loot in it.

we would now have a moving loot chest. and these are pretty rare to find.

Cows should need to eat grass to be milked again

    Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:01 PM PST

I think milking a cow unlimited times is overpowered, especially since it can clear away potion effects like bad omen.

Also, when cows eat grass, they could regenerate health, maybe they wouldn't even produce milk unless they are at full health?

Edit: Mac_Rat has posted this to the feedback site: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360040481772-Cows-need-to-eat-grass-to-be-milked-again

Killing Wandering Traders should incur a penalty.

    Posted: 01 Feb 2019 01:31 PM PST

Wandering Traders are now getting killed by players because they have Leads and special mobs with them.
Whenever a player kills one, a system similar to Village Popularity will have points decreased (e.g. everytime you kill a trader you lose 10 points). This will decrease their spawning rate and quality of trades of further Traders more the lower it gets.
Likewise, whenever a player gets a trade sold out, they will gain 1 point if the Trader naturally despawns (this means up to 6 points per Trader). This will result in slightly better spawn rates and much better trades (maybe even a Diamond or Diamond gear for a large amount of Emeralds).
This would both increase the worth of Wandering Traders, since they'll offer a larger amount of rare, unrenewable items and also reduce the desire of killing them.
So, what do you think about this? Do you have any other ideas?

Cartography Table should be able to Name/Rename Banners for free.

    Posted: 01 Feb 2019 09:34 AM PST

Since 1.13 came along with the possibility to use Banners as Map Markers, I believe Banners are now an important part of Cartography in Minecraft, by this the Anvil will keep it's position as the main Block to rename and limiting Cartography Table to only modify names of Banners would mean a nice Bonus for this new Block, improving little but significant aspect of the game by letting Players rename Banners without have to carry an Anvil that eventually will break and for those lovers of Mapping that use frequently 20-30 Markers it will save a worth of 20-30 Levels of Experience.

"Lightweight" enchantment for tools and weapons

    Posted: 01 Feb 2019 01:41 PM PST

Tons of people even after like 4 years are really mad about the attack cool down. So what if they added an enchantment that reduces the cool down. This would be multiplied by enchantment level and would go up to level 5. Each level reducing cool down by maybe, 10 percent. This would of course be able to go higher with cheats which would allow servers to disable the cool down by automatically enchanting all weapons with lightweight 10. I think that my idea could be more balanced but I think the idea makes sense.

    Gamerule to change jukebox range

    Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:32 PM PST

Maybe some kind of command to... Well, change jukebox range. Ex. "/gamerule jukerange 200" with each value being a block. With a maximum of... 500 or something. To prevent exploitation. It might be usefull for role play or just for general listening. So that we don't have to place them everywhere. It might also be usefull for map makers too.

Just a random thought I had

Wandering Villager should sell you unobtainable/extremely hard to find items

    Posted: 01 Feb 2019 04:04 PM PST

    Music Discs, Chainmail Armor, etc.

It would feel great if unobtainable items (but not necessary to function) were added that you could only get from villagers.

Spawners, Spawn eggs, general stuff like that.

It would be a great way to justify the rarity of a wandering villager.

    Overhaul to Swamp Biome

    Posted: 01 Feb 2019 03:40 PM PST

    Plants

    Mangrove Trees

Mangrove Trees spawn in very erratic patterns. They have roots that spread across the swamp water, intertwining with other trees' roots to the point where they are indistinguishable from each other. Their tops would be made of the new mangrove leaves, and of course the tree itself, as well as the roots would be made of mangrove wood.

They could potentially serve as a replacement for the current swamp trees, or even simply exist alongside them. Another option would be to have them in a sort of sub-biome, similar to how the 1.13 oceans replaced the more simplistic "Ocean" and "Deep Ocean" system.

    Lumilily

A flower that can be found and planted on lily pads. It will slowly build up a bulb over the day, which produces more and more light over time, and at midnight, they flower, and release an entity inspired by a will-o-the-wisp, which slowly rises 30-50 blocks. The will-o-the-wisp entity disappears in the morning, and the lumilily closes up again, slowly building up a new light to be released the next night. Each time the light entity disappears, there is a 10% chance it will drop a lumilily as an item.

    Mobs

    Leapers

These giant, frog-like creatures can be tamed with spider eyes and ridden on using saddles, hopping around on land and swiftly swimming through the water. If bred (again, using spider eyes) they find their way to water and drop a single egg, similar to the turtle egg. After roughly an hour of play time, they hatch into the tadpole-like form of the leaper. About the size of a player, these long, thin, mobs can swim around ridiculously fast. After about 20 minutes, they grow into a more adult form, though not quite full sized yet. They still cannot be ridden on, though they can now go on land, and have lost their ability to swim as fast as they used to. They still have a tail. After another 20 minutes, they grow into the full-sized, adult leapers. At any stage, they can be killed for 0-2 slimeballs.

    Snappers

A new mob somewhat based on crocodiles, these creatures hide in the water, camouflaged as mangrove roots, and getting anywhere near them will cause them to snap at you, dealing massive damage. I haven't thought of a drop yet, but I'd love to hear what you can think of in the comments!

    Leeches

Leeches can be found in the water, and getting too near to one would cause it to latch on to you, slowly draining your HP while recovering its own. Taking any form of damage from anything other than the leech or moving around a lot shakes it off, and can be easily killed on land. Similar to fish, it drops itself, but dead and in item form. It can be used in brewing to create a potion that gives you the new Leech effect, which allows you to sap 20% of any damage you deal to another mob.

Other than that, some small terrain changes could be made to the biome, such as making it slightly more sloped, or maybe even adding podzol.

Could we Perhaps get a "Printing Press" Crafting Block?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:28 PM PST

When you want to copy a signed book, you have to put it into a crafting grid with a book and quill. Since the book and quill item cannot stack, the rare occasion in which you want to mass produce a written book becomes quite the hassle.

To remedy this, why not have a printing press block that would let us copy signed books directly onto the stackable book item instead, possibly while using ink sacs as "fuel?" The progression of copies would still be Original->Copy->Copy of Copy.

    Secondary uses could include:

    • Dying book covers

    • Writing colored lore text for items in survival gameplay

    • Changing the color of an item's name

    • [your idea here?]

Another nice addition would be to increase the stack limit of written books from 16 to 64, since there's no real reason for that limit, and it would mean that you could use this crafting block to make a stack of 64 copied books rather than four stacks of 16.

So why don't stonecutters deal chip damage when you stand on them?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 04:31 PM PST

So you might have seen that *little* update to the stonecutter that completely redefines its functionality; instead of being a whole block, it's now just taller than a half-slab with a freaking saw on top... that doesn't deal damage... and you phase right through it... why again? Sure, it might not seem super practical to take damage from a crafting block, but since when was it a-okay to play around with power tools? Just like how you wouldn't touch a rotating blade in real life, landing on a stonecutter in Minecraft should deal as much damage as a cactus does. The fundamental difference between this and cactus though is that the cactus deals damage from touching it on ANY side, while the stonecutter only deals damage from standing on top. (I had this idea ever since I saw the redesign of the stonecutter for the first time, but I realized that I better post this idea before somebody else does because it seems like a bunch of other people may be realizing this same thing too...)

This damage also applies to all mobs that find their way onto the stonecutter, as well as players. But that was probably clear.

    World of Color 2

    Posted: 01 Feb 2019 07:36 AM PST

I personally would love to see a new World of Color-style update. No new mobs, only new blocks.

To kick things off a new creative/crafting menu showing options specifically for "Dyed Items" and this new section will include the already existing Wools, Terracotta, and Glass.

The first new items I'd like are Dyed Woods and Dyed Bricks.

If you use Dyed Wood to make a chest the color could transfer, allowing blue, red, purple, etc colored chests. I'd also love the function in all crafting stations with wood and the base of your bed. Doors, trapdoors, etc will also become colorable.

I would also love to see Dyed Bricks capable of making Dyed Flower Pots.

I think we could get crafty with Dyed Sand and Dyed Sandstone, or even Dyed Redstone, so when making complicated inventions you can understand what wire links certain parts together.

We could possibly get a function in beds (maybe a table specifically to dye beds) where we could also, not only choose the blankets and frame (mentioned earlier) but be able to apply banner designs and even alter the pillow's color as well.
