    Nether Villages

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 10:30 AM PDT

The Nether hasn't been updated for a while now, I think it could use an update.

So the Nether is pretty much like the Minecraft version of Hell, right? How about we add something similar to a sinner village there?

So before we get into the villages, first off, the materials of the buildings; scorch wood, nether brick and quartz pane.

So the scorch tree is a new type of tree that only grows on soulsand. It has dry leaves (just like any leaves, but gray), and gray wood. You can burn scorch wood bark in the furnace to create soul coal, which burns twice as long as regular coal.

    Ya'll know nether brick!

The quartz pane is crafted like glass panes, except instead of glass panes you put in quartz blocks. The quartz pane is not as see-through as glass, but yayy, new building material!

The village looks alot like the overworld village, but made out of different materials. The loot is more valuable than the things you would find in an ordinary village, since the locals have had lives filled with stealing and looting.

The loot includes: emeralds, diamonds, gold, golden apples, iron/diamond/golden swords, iron/diamond/golden armor, potions, discs, etc.

The locals look very similar to normal villagers, but they often have scars and they look mean, which they are. They will attack the player on sight with their iron/diamond/gold sword. They drop valuables mentioned in the list above.

They have wolves as pets and they are always aggressive towards the player.

The villages do not contain chruches, ever.

Clocks should be a 3D placeable item to add more decorative usage and aesthetics

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 08:04 AM PDT

Like in the title, it would look cool and better than an item frame. Whats more, they should come in two styles: Analog and Digital

Analog is the clock with the hands, and makes a little tick-tock sound that can be heard around two blocks away. Has sun and moon symbols to let you know what time the Sun rises and sets. Needs 1 clock with 3 sticks for hands. The size of this clock is the size of an item frame. Only the black rim of it (outside the numbers) can be dyed in this style.

Digital uses numbers. Needs 1 Redstone + 1 iron ingot and 1 clock to convert the clock to a digital redstone one. Digital clocks can have their numbers dyed. This is to add personalisation. Just click the clock with the dye, and the numbers will change colour. Digital clocks emit light, with the light level being at least 3 (not when dyed black).

Regular clocks can be placed just like the other two described above.

You should even be able to place clocks on floors and ceilings, and slabs, not just walls.

If this makes it into Minecraft, clocks will have more of a decorative use.

Go to feedback.minecraft.net if you really want this implemented.

    Tamed Wolf Skins

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 09:06 AM PDT

It be cool if a Wolf would change skins such as a German Shepherd, Doberman or a Dalmatian when it gets tamed. It's just like Ocelots before 1.14 when you tame an Ocelot it changes it's skin. I would like to see this in the game in the future.

Baby Creeper - "The cute monster"

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 07:21 AM PDT

When a creeper is about to spawn there will be a 5% chance of it spawning in its baby form. The Baby creeper would make less noise and walk slightly faster than a regular creeper, but be less explosive (half the damage/radius).

They are only hostile at night, because when the sun rises they transform into a baby pig (a little reference to how creepers were created) with green eyes and green patches on its skin. A baby creeper will only despawn in its baby form.

Baby creepers are tamable in their "pig form". Give them a golden carrot and that's it! You now have a tamed baby creeper! After it is tamed, it will no longer transform into a pig at day. It would follow you around and stand still if you right click him (like a dog but without actually sitting).

When you right click a baby creeper with flint and steel it will become aggressive and attack the nearest mob.

Mojang, please fix leashes so they attach properly to stone fences, brick fences and iron bars.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 07:38 AM PDT

It doesn't make sense, and it's really hard to attach the leash to a stone fence. C'mon, attach to that cobblestone fence, stupid leash! It would make stone pens easier to ranch. I'm not asking to remove an features just improve the leash attach feature so it attaches to stone fences.

It works on wooden fences, why not stone?! Also should apply to brick fences/iron bars.

Ghastmallows: An exciting new food item with unique uses!

    Posted: 04 Jun 2019 08:51 PM PDT

Steve and Alex sometimes get a little bit hungry for a tasty treat, and what's more perfect than some yummy, soft ghastmallows!

    https://imgur.com/a/1hrDAwA

Ghastmallows are crafted in batches of 8 with a unique recipe not too dissimilar to real life marshmallows. (Slimeballs represent gelatin)

    https://imgur.com/a/kB91hX7

As a food ghastmallows are identical to cookies, however what makes them a worthwhile addition is their unique uses.

    Unique uses:

As a food ghastmallows can be improved by being crafted with a stick to from the ghastmallow-on-a-stick. One can then hold rightclick over a campfire, with an animation similiar to the drawing-a-bow animation (the model rotating to face forward and shaking a bit) to form a toasted ghastmallow! A toasted ghastmallow awakenens the power of the ghast tear due to heat (just like brewing), causing it to give 2 seconds of regeneration 1, and can be eaten regardless of hunger.

    https://imgur.com/a/eYxLCzF

It turns out zombie pigmen love toasted ghatmallow! So if you anger a zombie pigman, you can feed him your toasted ghastmallow to turn him neutral! Just make sure you bring enough for the entire group!

As a bonus, neutralising a pigman will earn you the advancement "Act of good faith".

Blaze rod + ghastmallow = The blazing ghastmallow. It is a unique weapon, it only has 15 durability and can't be enchanted. The blazing ghastmallow does only +1 additional damage than the fist but is useful as it sets foes on fire!

Thank you for reading my suggest, if you like be sure to vote on the feedback site! [HERE]

    Biome Variants of Mobs

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 12:46 PM PDT

I think Minecraft would really benefit and be more realistic if every Mob had Biome Variants they're already doing it for the zombie (Husk/Drowned) and plus it would provide and make new challenges for each biome so surviving in each biome would be different for example I really suck at thinking up ideas but an Ice Variant of the Creeper what would they do huh? and now if you're in a cold biome you would have to watch out for different mobs that do different things Also some mobs could just be simple in differences like maybe Sheeps in cold biomes would have thicker wool giving you more wool

Thick ropes that you can attach to fences on both sides

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 06:31 AM PDT

Would be extremely useful for ships and maybe we could be able to use it as a ladder that you can place underneath yourself so we can rappel down into a hole or stuff like that. Maybe it could replace the leash and have the same purpose.

Blaziers: A light source for the Nether

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 01:36 PM PDT

Nether fortresses are too dark in my opinion. I can't tell where the floor ends and the wall starts (Granted, I play on moody brightness). So I thought up a light source, which also gives another use to blaze powder and nether wart.

    Concept images: https://imgur.com/a/7kyTlc3

Blaziers, a portmanteau of Blaze and Brazier, generate in Nether fortresses, either sitting on blocks or hanging from ceilings, moderately spaced so the fortress isn't too bright. They emit unique particles that look like the floaty bits above blaze powder. To craft them, you need 4 nether bricks, 1 blaze powder, and 1 nether wart. The Blazier emits a light level of 12, but the special thing is, it doesn't prevent monster spawns (if that's not possible, the light level could just be decreased a bit), so even the bright parts of Nether fortresses are still full of enemies.

Also vote on the official feedback site, so Mojang can use the idea!

    Lets talk about tridents!

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 09:50 AM PDT

I think I speak for most players when I say that the tridents on Java are ridiculously hard to get. The wiki states that "6.25% (drowned) in Java Edition, will spawn with a trident of random durability as their natural weapon, and they have an 8.5% chance of dropping the trident" Drowned are hard to find on java, and harder yet equipped with a trident.

Because they are so rare, I am paranoid about losing it, since riptide and mending books are hard to find, and I don't want to spend long looking for one either. It just ends up sitting in my ender chest.

So I got to thinking, why don't the weapon smiths sell these? You could make the chance of getting the trident about 12% or something like that, to be trade able at the master level.

You could also increase the chance of drowned spawning with a trident with game difficulty, thus making it harder.

Any other idea about acquiring Tridents?

    Thanks for reading.

    Responding to common scaffolding complaints.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 12:27 PM PDT

So I'm a big fan of scaffolding, but I can see where some of the common complaints are coming from:

    • 1. It's awkward and frustrating to navigate sneaking down pillars when you want to, accidentally climbing down when you don't, sneak-placing blocks, and such.
    • 2. Some people don't like the horizontal bridging limit. I think it's fine, it doesn't take that much longer, and the block is cheap. If you really don't like pillars everywhere, you can still manage with a support block here and there.
    • 2.5. Some people just think it's awkward to use; I think this is just because of #1, it's hard to navigate using sneak, and somewhat annoying to click on just the right part to pillar in the right direction.
    • 3. Some people don't like the crafting recipe - requiring rare bamboo or hardish-to-get string.
    • 4. Some people just want it to be a 4-sided pillaring ladder. I think this would not be half as useful; you'd have to shift anyway to keep from sliding down. You couldn't place blocks through it. Also, it'd just be 4 ladders for the cost of 1 or 2.

Here is my suggested tweaks to the block:

    • Made with 6 sticks and one string. (I'm not dead-set on this, but string is maybe enough of a barrier. Bamboo is still worth finding, because you get double the sticks out of it.)
      • (If string is really a problem, getting string from wool would fix that; or just substituting wool or leather for the string would work just fine, as there is still some barrier.)
    • As implemented, no collision on the sides, collision on the top. Falling block. If a support block is broken, unsupported blocks break and drop themselves, vertically below and horizontally out (to 6? Whatever is vanilla).
    • If standing inside a pillar, press space to climb, and space-shift to climb down. (sorta like with flying.) Shift to sneak as normal.
    • Placing scaffolding on another scaffold will pillar upwards. Shift-placing on another scaffold will bridge out horizontally in the direction you're facing. (Or vice-versa)
      • If not standing in a pillar, space-shift placing will place a block underneath it? (Really, this is almost redundant because they're falling blocks; you can easily place another block to drop scaffolds from. The only real use this would have is the ability to bridge over the void. Or maybe place hard-to-position blocks.)
    • Breaks quickly but not instantly to prevent destroying your entire scaffold with a punch; but instabreaks with an axe.
    • Ladders and torches make a great companion to scaffolding as is, if you really want to climb it like a ladder. You can climb up from inside, and it breaks with the scaffold. I like to ladder off 2 adjacent sides of my pillars. If you wanted to get fancy, you could make ladders pillar upward when placed on a scaffolding block.

    Thoughts?

    Temperature

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 07:59 AM PDT

All Minecraft players already know what to expect when they're in a survival world. But what if there was a temperature system, that would be different in each and every single biome? Let's take a closer look. Temperature levels would change depending on the time of day/night in Minecraft, but also would change depending on the biome, as well as the weather itself. For example, if we were on a Desert, the temperature would be really high, and if we were on a Snowy Biome the temperature would be freezing cold. -But how would we be able to tell the temperature? Simple answer. The Clock. The Clock is an item that is not used by most players. The main uses of clocks are just for decoration. But it wouldn't be the same if the clock showed the temperature as well. The Clock is a pixelated circle. The upper half of it is showing the time, while the lower half is blank. Wouldn't it be cool if the clock showed the temperature at that blank part of it? Of course, to do that the recipe would need to change. First, we would need to craft the normal clock. Then we would need to place it in the middle of the 3×3 crafting grid. On the 3 lower parts of the grid we would place iron nuggets, and then on the sides of where the clock was, we would need to place 2 wooden buttons. Then, on the upper grids that have nothing in them, we would need to place 1 green wool, 1 red wool and 1 blue wool. [I'll get to "why" in a bit] This would tell us the temperature by symbols. If the temperature was too low, we would see a pixelated, blue snowflake. If it was too high, we would see a pixelated, orange coloured sun. If the temperature was normal, we would see a grey cloud. The 3 main colours are Red, Green and Blue, that's why I chose those 3 coloured wool pieces [Well, as far as I know, those are the 3 main colours] -What would too high or too low temperature do to us? A high temperature would slow us down. Imagine walking through a desert in Minecraft and then all of a sudden you have slowness. The slowness effect would go away at night time, because the night would have a normal temperature. [Well, as normal as a desert's temperature can be] And as for the low temperature, we would start freezing, and taking damage slowly. If we froze completely, we would start taking damage faster. When we would start to freeze, the game would give us the "Frost" effect. If we died while we were completely frozen, then our stuff would remain inside of the ice. If we went back to our death spot, we would see a 2 block high ice pillar, which would have our stuff in. If we broke that ice, the stuff would come out. But if the ice melted before we would get there, then we only had 5 minutes of time to get our stuff before it despawned. -How would we survive in these temperatures? Simple. Wear armour. In Snowy Biomes we would need to wear Thick Armour. Thick armour would be made by adding wool to a certain armour piece in a certain pattern. And as for the Desert, we would avoid wearing leather armour or thick armour and we would need to have a water bucket always with us, and also glass bottles to drink from time to time. This would make the slowness effect not happen often. If we would keep drinking water every now and then, the slowness effect wouldn't even be able to get us. If we drank water or other potions while having the slowness effect, it would dissapear after 20 seconds. If we drank milk while having the slowness effect, it would remove the slowness effect. However, milk wouldn't be as much refreshing as water. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day! 🤗

Changing orientation and shape of stairs by right-clicking them with an axe

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 06:12 AM PDT

We all know the problem. Wanna make a nice 2x1 couch? Nope gotta be at least 3x1. Using stairs in your wall and want to build a staircase next to it? They'll connect even tho you don't want them to. All these Problems could be solved if we were able to right click the stair block for it to scroll through possible orientations and shapes. It'd be a great help for people like me who like to use stairs to add more details into their builds.

    A sound deafening block

    Posted: 04 Jun 2019 08:52 PM PDT

Simple enough. If you build a red stone contraption or something around this you won't hear the pistons.

If you use it around a room full of furnaces you won't hear the noise from the outside.

Minecraft has a lot of blocks now and a decent amount make noise. I think it would be beneficial to be able to mute out certain sounds in survival or whatever

    Owls

    Posted: 04 Jun 2019 10:53 PM PDT

Owls would be friendly mobs towards players, and they would spawn in a variety of biomes. 1. Oak Forest= Oak Forest owls would look like normal owls. 2. Birch Forest= These owls would be long-eared 3. Taiga Forest= Would look like the Boreal Owls 4. Desert Biome= Would be the only owls that can stay on cactuses and not take damage, and they would also live in the cactuses 5. Dark Oak Forest= Would be the home to the Great Horned Owl, the best of the owls. 6. Villages= Owls in villages would look like the Barn Owl. 7. Snow Biome= Owls in these would look like the White Owl. - How would you tame these owls? They would be tamed using beetroot seeds, pumpkin seeds or melon seeds, not normal seeds. - What would they be able to do? 1. They would stay on your shoulder when after you tame and walk over to them [If they aren't sat down] 2. They don't let go of you if you jump off a high place, they will only leave once you take damage, or crouch and then un-crouch immediately after. 3. When you would crouch and not immdeiately un-crouch, they would stay on your head. [Thought this was funny] 4. They would be able to kill silverfish and endermite without your consent. If you had an owl tamed, he will only attack these mobs only if he's not on your shoulder. If he's not on your shoulder, he would attack nearby silverfish and endermite. [Thought of this because silverfish and endermite are the closest mobs to mice in the game currently] 5. You would be able to explore a map using the owls' vision. After you would create a map, simply go into an open area with your owl and map and then face the direction you want the map to be explored. Let the owl sit in that direction, and then right-click the owl with your map on hand. The owl would take the map in his claws and take off. His wings wouldn't make any noise, just like the real life owls. Once he would finish his trip, the owl would return back to the position he took off and wait for you there until you would go and take the map from him. This would also give you an achievement, called "The Owl's Eye". 6. You would be able to use owls to explore the map even while you're moving. If you took an owl with you, and you had your map out, the owl would automatically fly and look around, making the exploration radius on the map bigger. This would give the player an effect called "Vision". - What about breeding? You could breed two owls of the same kind and an owl that is the same as its' parents would be born. If you would crossbreed different kinds of owls, the newborn would look like the mixed variation of its' parents. - How would they progress? To tame an owl you would need to feed it many times until hearts would show up. But this only means that the owl won't fly away from you. To make an owl trustworthy, you would need to feed it a couple of times for a couple of Minecraft days until yellow particles would show up. This would mean that the owl now is trustworthy, and you can give it your map to explore it. If the owl isn't trustworthy, and if you gave it your map, then he would fly away with it and never come back. This would mean that you would lose your map and the exploration on it would be reset. That's it. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day [I've already made a symbol for the Vision effect, but I can't put it in the suggestion]

    New mining item - Drill

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 02:40 PM PDT

I think it's safe to say I'm not the first person to think of adding drills to Minecraft. Are people generally opposed to the idea? It'd make the game too easy or something? I thought it would be cool to have a late game block-breaking tool that makes those big projects a little less time consuming.

The idea is it would function like a pickaxe but it breaks blocks in a 3x3 square (the block you're aiming at + the 8 blocks around that block). The specifics would have to be worked out, such as how it would be have when you're aiming at blocks from weird angles/etc.

It wouldn't break the blocks instantly or anything overpowered like other suggestions for drills I saw on here. It would break the blocks gradually as pickaxes do. A perfect example is how the drills in Portal Knights behave.

It could also use redstone dust as fuel, so we'd finally have a use for those chests full of redstone.

    Creeper pets... For pillagers!

    Posted: 04 Jun 2019 08:58 PM PDT

Ok, so hear me out. Minceraft doesn't have enough "explosive dangers". You've got creepers, and desert temples, which are so well known and easy to get around that they don't really count. So, instead of adding another explosive mob or a pillager that throws explosives (like I've seen suggested), what about creepers on leads that some pillagers carry?

My idea is that pilagers will carry creepers on leads during raids, and when needed, they will command the creepers to explode, to either blow up a house to be able to reach the villagers inside or to harm the iron golem.

This wouldn't only make raids more dinamic, but it would also give stray cats a purpose. I think that this would be a very fun addition to the game, but maybe a bit far fetched. Feedback is appreciated!

(Maybe only add it on hard mode?)
