A "Time lasted" on the death screen in hardcore mode to show you how far you've come. Posted: 27 Jul 2019 10:21 AM PDT Dying in hardcore really sucks, but just something that shows you how much time you've spent online, and maybe a button that shows you to the stats. [link] [comments] |
You can use bamboo to breathe in shallow water Posted: 27 Jul 2019 01:22 AM PDT Holding ONE bamboo stick in your offhand while maximally 3 block underwater allows the player to breathe. The larger the stack, the longer the tube; Lenght of the tube would be limited to 16 blocks, even if you have more stacked (edited) [link] [comments] |
Give players experience-points by crafting advanced items Posted: 27 Jul 2019 06:19 AM PDT I think it's quite self-explaining, but items like the beacon and enchanting table are two quite hard blocks to craft, and also gather resources for. I think adding this feature to the game would make crafting a tiny bit more significant [link] [comments] |
Chickens will play rooster crowing sound when the sun rises Posted: 27 Jul 2019 09:30 AM PDT |
Posted: 27 Jul 2019 12:32 PM PDT I personally think desert biomes seem a little... Bland. Yes there's temples but the lack of vegetation just makes it look unfinished to me. I would like to see cacti with arms like saquaros. Maybe cacti blocks could be placed an the side of a cactus to make it seem like it has arms. Though if you place a separate cactus on the side it would still break just like it does reguarly. Arms should be at least one block from the ground and one block from the cactus it's from. When the cactuses bottom is broken all of it would drop just like it does now. I would also like to see flowers on top of some "but not all" cacti. When the flowers mined it will give you a cactus flower witch can be placed on other cacti. They should come in colours like pink, red, orange, and blue. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2019 12:26 PM PDT If you use chorus fruit ender pearls and an iron door you could craft the dimension door. When opened there is a portal effect which when walked through takes you to your "pocket dimension" it is essentially a void like grians infinity room from hermitcraft but its actually infinite. There would be no mobs friendly or other wise that spawn there but you can take things through the door in survival or spawn some in creative if you want. You could place as many doors as you like in the overworld wich all lead to the one door in that dimension (you cant place them while you are in that dimension). This would be really cool for building in and useful as well. If you get lost then look at your coordinates the door you come through is 0,0,0 so just come back to those numbers. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2019 05:28 AM PDT What they could look like . They would spawn in Extreme Hills. They follow and eat wheat. Milkable and Neutral. If provoked, they will ram into you, causing heavy damage and knockback. When killed, they drop horns. Horns deal 2.5 hearts of damage. 2 horns + helmet = horned helmet. When sprinting with the helmet on, damage is dealt to mobs and players you run into. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Jul 2019 10:49 PM PDT put beds in looms to decorate your beds? Or be able to put banners on your beds :) We f'n on the creeper bed tonight 👀 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2019 03:55 AM PDT As it stands, the Phantom punishes players for playing Minecraft at night, essentially encouraging them to avoid danger like a little chicken. Thus, I think the Phantom needs a rework. Now, back in the old days, if you slept in a base that was not properly mob-proofed for (if I'm not mistaken) 30 blocks around you, mobs would spawn on your bed and harass you in the middle of the night. I think this a perfect way to implement the Phantom. If your bed is set up in a well-lit section of your base, then you can sleep peacefully because you have put effort into protecting your bed. If you just plop a bed on the ground 42,000 blocks from spawn, where your half-built quad witch farm is, take a nap, and then get back to work, you've done nothing to protect that bed and thus are just skipping the hard parts of Minecraft (which the current Phantoms encourage), so Phantoms will spawn on your bed and make sleeping difficult. This also makes the first night actually dangerous again, since who can set up all that infrastructure on day 1? Also, to prevent it from being annoying, you can only be harassed by Phantoms 3 times per night maximum (the first time you sleep in an improperly lit bed, they have a 100% chance of spawning, then 50%, then 25%). Phantoms still burn in sunlight. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2019 03:32 PM PDT just simply a white canvas that you can make your own pixel art and hang on the wall, pretty sure pixel artists would love it and it would add a whole new level of criativity to the players. maybe the mojang team would concert about griefers using it for inadequate behaviour? so a solution would be having a gamerule to disable customized paintings but i'm not sure what else could be done to avoid it opinions? Baby villagers in acacia biomes should try to ride llamas Posted: 27 Jul 2019 03:18 PM PDT I dont know. I just thought it be kinda cute to watch a baby villager climb up on a llama and have the other babies watch in awe. Maybe even on a wandering trader's llama. Obviously, they wouldnt stay on for long, and wouldnt do much. [link] [comments] |
Phantoms get more and more angry the longer you don't sleep Posted: 27 Jul 2019 01:08 AM PDT Currently, phantoms are in need of a change, they seem pretty rushed and are very annoying at most times. Also, there is completely ZERO indication of them to newbies~~, although I do like seeing them freak out.~~ I think a slight change would be to make them have different stages depending on how long you don't sleep. Stage 1: WarningOn the day before you get insomnia. Phantoms would spawn, as neutral creatures. They would make a less nightmarish soul and would even look like, majestic? They would ideally look like their old design (black skin with green eyes and no nones sticking out) Stage 2: AnnoyedOn the first 3 days of insomnia, phantoms would spawn above the clouds screeching (with more of a demonic tone to it). Every so often, they would swoop down and bite the player, however only dealing 3 hp (on normal difficulty) their skin would have a slight blue tone to it, with slightly torn wings Stage 3: AngryOn the 3rd to 5th days of insomnia, the phantoms would basically act and look like how they do now. Final stage: NightmaresAfter all that, the phantoms would really be pissed off. They would have a slight red tint to their skins (very slight, to prevent them from looking like a Nether mob) They would do a solid 4.5 hearts of damage on normal difficulty. While swooping around in the air, they would be a bit transparent, only when they attack they would emit smoke particals and be fully visible. When they deal the bite of damage, they would become invisible for 3 seconds, allowing time for them to return to gliding position. They would also have 15 hearts of damage, 5 more than the player Notes

Allow Banners to be waterlogged! Posted: 27 Jul 2019 03:32 PM PDT I think the title is pretty self-explanatory. Allow banners to be waterlogged so that they fit in nicely in any underwater build instead of having that distracting pocket of air surrounding it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2019 03:30 PM PDT The current title screen background is just a bunch of flat textures placed in a cube shape, and blurred in order to make it look 3D. I think it's time for an actual 3D model to be used on the title screen. However, that's not the main point of this suggestion. The main point would be that the title screen background would be the spawn chunk from one of the player's worlds! The world would be randomly picked every time you boot up the game, and if you didn't have any worlds created (e.g you've just downloaded Minecraft on a new computer, or you are new to the game), it would be just a default non-playable template world embedded in the game itself. I understand this may cause performance issues however, so there would be an option to turn it off, and if Minecraft detects the computer may not be able to handle it, it would be disabled automatically. When you turn the dynamic title screen off, it would just be the title screen as it is right now (the blurred textures in a cube). I also understand this may cause a longer loading time, so that's also why I said you could turn this off. Additionally, if the game fails to load a world for whatever reason, it will try to load another world, and if it fails again, it will default to the classic title screen and show an error message saying "Your worlds may possibly be corrupted! If you are unable to play any of your worlds, please try to restore from a backup." Anyway, any thoughts? What do you think of this? [link] [comments] |
Idea for content after beating the End Posted: 27 Jul 2019 07:48 AM PDT My idea is that instead of just adding a new dimension after the end, the overworld would change kinda like terraria. Once you have defeated the Ender Dragon new biomes would appear on unexplored terrain in the overworld (no corruption or world destroying things). The first thing you should do is craft a new block, the "end pedestal" wich could be crafted with a crafting table an the dragon egg. The End pedestal's crafting grid would be on sole slot sorrounded by more kina like thaumcraft's arcane workbench. The idea is that instead of just adding new biomes and new ores to craft tools armors and weapons, upgrade the ones you already have. At this point in the game you should have full enchanted armor and all so the idea would be this, you wander in search for new biomes, wich you could even track with a new item crafted by puting ender eyes in the end pedestal. On the new biomes you may find structures to explore and new powerful mobs, even some bosses / mini bosses, wich on their defeat or as loot of their structures you may obtain new materials wich could be used in the end pedestal to upgrade your tools and armor, upgraded item would retain their enchantments and names. But this would go further than just a update to the stats, new useful and powerful abilities would be available, for example i thinking of a new item drop by a fliying boss / miniboss wich when used to upgrade the elytra will give better flight or even creative flight, this would make sense as you have pretty muched ended the game and this would be really helpful for building. Maybe even another item to actually "fuse" this new elytra with your armor. This is the kind of upgrades im thinking of. This would add new content to the game in a new and not so intrusive way and also a use for the end dragon egg If i have any further ideas i will update the post. What do you think? Villagers should be able to follow you. Posted: 27 Jul 2019 12:46 PM PDT There should be an option on the trading menu that will let villagers follow you, but only if they are an apprentice. This will make villager transfer easier and could allow players to bring one on an expedition if they want to trade on the way, but be careful, single villagers have nothing to defend themselves with. This could also spread village karma faster if you were to enter a new village with a villagers following you. [link] [comments] |
Phantoms should get a wing flapping animation Posted: 27 Jul 2019 02:17 PM PDT It looks weird with these lifeless things floating through the air. It'd definitely add to the phantoms' mechanics. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2019 03:40 PM PDT Just to make thinks more ideal in my opinion So people can have more control over there items because it's sucks to get curse of binding in an armor piece when enchanting specially if it was a good enchant in lvl 30 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2019 11:53 AM PDT Craft it like a normal lantern but with a redstone torch, as opposed to sending redstone signals upwards like a redstone torch, it's sent downwards. [link] [comments] |
Tags and Tricks: A Way to Upgrade Pets! Posted: 27 Jul 2019 10:30 AM PDT Tags (not to be confused with Name Tags) are items that can be equipped onto any tameable pet (dogs, cats, parrots, horses/mules, and llamas.) Tags are unique for the fact that they provide noticeable differences in animal behavior or attributes. Think of it as "enchantments" for animals. Changes can range from stat changes to entirely new behaviors. To get these "tricks," you must first equip an animal with the tag. As the animal moves around and helps you on your journey, it will slowly but naturally gain tricks. For example, if you have a tagged dog with you while you're exploring for about 20-30 minutes, it will most likely learn a trick. Tags can be found in randomly generated chests or can be crafted with 3 pieces of paper and 1 iron ingot. I'll go ahead and list a few that I've been thinking of. FetchAvailable Animals: Dog, Cat, ParrotIf an animal has the "Fetch" trick, it will pick up items off of the ground and bring them to you. This is useful for automated farms, for picking up tridents that aren't enchanted with Loyalty, or for scavenging arrows shot by opposing players. EndureAvailable Animals: Dog, Horse/Mule, LlamaIf an animal has the "Endure" trick, its health will increase. Endure has three levels, each one incrementally increasing the benefit scaling to maximum health. Endure I increases health by 25%, Endure II increases health by 50%, and Endure III increases health by 75%. SicAvailable Animals: DogIf an animal has the "Sic" trick, its attack damage and detection radius are increased. Sic has three levels, each one incrementally increasing the benefit scaling to base damage. Sic I increases damage by 25% and detection range by 15%, Sic II increases damage by 50% and detection range by 30%, and Sic III increases damage by 75% and detection range by 50%. HaulAvailable Animals: Horse/Mule, LlamaIf a horse, mule, or llama has the "Haul" trick, it is able to carry 3 more inventory slots worth of items. This is useful for long journeys where more inventory space is needed. If a parrot has the "Haul" trick, it is able to carry the owner for short distances. Fall speed is greatly reduced when the parrot is on your shoulder. Play DeadAvailable Animals: Dog, Cat, Parrot, Horse/Mule, LlamaIf an animal has the "Play Dead" trick, it is able to cheat death. After the animal takes lethal damage, it respawns with regeneration and absorption, as if it died while holding a Totem of Undying. After cheating death, the trick is removed from the tag. This is by far the rarest trick, so be sure to save any tags with it! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2019 01:49 AM PDT All of those zombies have once been different people, but I doubt they have all been Steve. Hence they have different oufits. (Which would explain why there are no people left, secret lore??) [link] [comments] |
Ideas for revamping passive mob AI. Posted: 27 Jul 2019 10:15 AM PDT I would also like it if passive mobs could also have a revamp in AI to make them look and feel more "alive & realistic" since so many people want hostile mobs to be stronger and smarter. A negative effect
(Note): People may not like this idea because it could affect farming or other related passive mob farms, so instead, the Bloodlust would only be effective to animals that aren't tamed or trusted. Caring / Loving Parents
Interactions
(TL;DR): To quickly summerise this entire post, have there be a more "self-awareness" feel to animals when it's kind is killed. Have there be Several interactions between the Parents and the baby mob. Add several Idle animations to give passive mobs a feeling of personality. (Note): Since this post contains more than 1500 characters, I can't post this in the feedback website so I'm putting it here so I can really get into detail. User feedback will be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Jul 2019 12:59 PM PDT I feel as if nobody knows that this is an in game event that actually exists. And I've encountered one once in game after playing. It has a very low chance of occurring only at midnight at a village with a very low percentage rate. I propose we make this to be more like an official raid with new mobs, and rare loot. Howler is a zombie variant I've seen in many games and movies and I think it would fit perfectly in this event. It will spawn in the back of a group of zombies and it will run away from the player. It's special ability is that it screams and calls 2-3 zombies to fight it would only drop rotten flesh. Slimmer would be a zombie with a slime on its head that would cough up slime at a short distance and cover your screen with it. It would also slow you down. Leaving you stunned and giving it enough time for normal zombies to catch up with you. Drops slime and rotten flesh. The main challenge of this event though will be the mini boss at the end. The abomination would be larger then an iron golem and deal more damage. It will be able to smash the ground to create an area of effect that deals massive damage and knock back it will be fast and be able to jump high and far. Having around 125 health. It will drop rotten flesh and possibly a zombie arm which will do 7 damage and have the same effect the abomination does, but it will break fairly quickly. Hope you like my idea. I'm new to reddit so I don't know much. [link] [comments] |
