By holding shift while gliding you can look around without changing direction Posted: 07 Sep 2019 02:59 AM PDT It's pretty annoying when you just wanna look around, but can't really because if you do you will lose height and precious firework rockets (especially if you don't have a creeper farm yet). So by holding shift while gliding with Elytra you can look around without changing direction. I know it seems pointless, but those kinds of details would definitely improve the experience. edit: Could be a different button and across all versions. View could be also limited like in a boat. Iron golems behave like anvils. (IE you take damage when they fall on you) Posted: 06 Sep 2019 07:49 PM PDT I got the idea for Ph1lza on stream. His point was that if anvils take three blocks of iron to fall and damage the player, then why don't iron golems hurt the player when they fall on them? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Sep 2019 12:08 PM PDT Just the title. We have mossy cobblestone, but I think mossy wood would really add a cool effect to forests or old bridges and structures. Could be naturally generated on trees or on the witch hut. It could also be directional, so they could make naturally generated mossy wood always face north as fun feature and a way to find directions. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Sep 2019 06:13 AM PDT EDIT: I've created a new post expanding greatly on this idea! Go check it out! Picture it: You're renovating your great house, looking for that certain block in your many chests, when suddenly, a zombie horde attacks through the hole in the wall! You aren't scared, for you have a dog army. You backtrack towards your dog room, ready to command your valiant warriors to attack and... They're all sitting down. All of them. All 50 of your dogs. By the time you have 4 standing up, the zombies are already on you. You're gonna have to solo this one out. If you collect dogs you probably have a similar scenario you've experienced really. So for this issue I propose the whistle. No keybinds, because it's difficult for bedrock players. It would be crafted with 3 iron, 2 string and a bone. When you press the 'Use' key while not crouching, it makes all dogs in a (generously wide, coz its a whistle and convenience for people with large armies) radius stand up and if used while crouching makes them all sit. Its a simple feature but one I think would save people a ton of time especially when youre in the heat of battle. Additionally, maybe another item that could command all your dogs to a block or entity? Getting all your dogs back into your dog room can be hard. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Sep 2019 07:01 AM PDT Slimes, if I remember correctly, don't take fall damage. What if they bounced, too? Not as much as a slime block but probably at least a little bit. It would only make sense for them to be bouncy if slime blocks are [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Sep 2019 02:12 PM PDT Currently, the only point of sleeping is to stop monster spawning. If sleeping meant time passes overnight, it would not only be realistic, but it also means people have a reason to sleep. When someone sleeps, crops should grow, furnaces should smelt and farms should work at either a similar rate to daytime, or quartered to avoid abuse of sleeping on servers etc. [link] [comments] |
Placing water in the nether by surrounding it with packed/blue ice on at least 3 sides Posted: 07 Sep 2019 06:27 AM PDT If the reason that water can't be placed in the nether is that it's way too hot, why not just cool it down? This would allow you to make water elevators and item streams in the nether, as seen in this image (mock-up in overworld). While this would allow you to place water, it would still not let let you turn the lava ocean into obsidian, because the water would still evaporate once it was no longer in contact with sufficient ice. Nether wart blocks used to mute sound Posted: 07 Sep 2019 12:47 PM PDT Right now, nether wart blocks are pretty useless, so letting them mute sound would give them a purpose. It would work simply: any sound made behind a nether wart block wouldn't reach the player. This way farms could be less noisy, portals could be quiet, and adventure maps could be more fun. Posted: 07 Sep 2019 12:33 PM PDT Medals are a new craftable item that can be worn on your chest armor slot, can be added to any chest armor with an anvil, and can be placed on a wall without need of an item frame. Medals can also be dyed like wool. · The first idea i have, is Medals to be purely cosmetic. · The second one is them to have unique enchantments, such as Heart (small hp boost) or Quick (small speed boost). Medals could be useful for servers, since they can be given to players to show their ranks, for example. [link] [comments] |
Ice, packed ice, and blue ice should become a little extra slippery while it's raining. Posted: 07 Sep 2019 02:17 PM PDT Ice, packed ice, and blue ice should become a little extra slippery while it's raining, perhaps by about 5%. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Sep 2019 08:52 AM PDT 8 gunpowder and a barrel in the middle. Bigger/stronger explosion than TNT. [link] [comments] |
Cave Spiders should have a 5-10% chance to drop Cobwebs upon death. Posted: 07 Sep 2019 05:54 AM PDT This would not only make Cobwebs renewable but would also make sense given that Cave Spiders(presumably)hold webs in their spinneret. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Sep 2019 03:03 PM PDT I think it would be nice to have a feature where biomes subtly adapt to the terrain around them. For example, if you flatten out a Forest Hills biome, it would turn into a Forest biome, or if you cut down a lot of the trees in it, it would turn to Plains. With enough work, players could terraform any area into a biome of their choice. Planting certain tree types could affect the biome too, such as jungle trees. [link] [comments] |
Shots in the head should do more for crossbows Posted: 07 Sep 2019 02:02 PM PDT Crossbows are pretty useless, but a headshot mechanic could be useful. There would be no soundeffects like in other fps games, and the headshot could deal 15-20 damage to mobs. This could make crossbows more useful, but it would be hard to implement. If mojang implements it in a future combat update, props to them. [link] [comments] |
Landing on wool should have the same effect as beds (Reduced fall damage, somewhat bouncy) Posted: 07 Sep 2019 02:27 PM PDT |
Posted: 07 Sep 2019 11:04 AM PDT There hasn't been any traditional mob heads since 1.4, despite their popularity. I believe Illager heads should be added, as they are one of the more major mobs in the game now. [link] [comments] |

Desert villages should use coarse dirt or gravel blocks for their paths Posted: 07 Sep 2019 10:27 AM PDT The sandstone paths look pretty bad on top of the desert sand, they blend in too much. When desert villages generate, they should have coarse dirt or gravel paths. That provides a decent contrast with the desert sand and the village buildings, and it fits with the desert theme. A new structure - the Ice Dungeon Posted: 07 Sep 2019 05:20 AM PDT Hello. Let's get right into this. The Ice Dungeon would be a structure that would have the purpose of containing the key to a new dimension that I may make a post about eventually. It would be very similar to a stronghold, but not the same. These structures would only be found in snowy biomes, but would be more common in Ice Spikes biomes. They would be underground as well. To find an Ice Dungeon, the player would need to craft Snow Pearls, which would need 8 snowballs surrounding an Ice Crystal, a new item that would be rarely dropped by Strays. This would craft 8 Snow Pearls. They would function exactly the same as Eyes of Ender, but would try to lead you to Ice Dungeons instead of strongholds. Inside an Ice Dungeon, there would be many rooms. Here are some examples:
That's all for now, I hope you enjoyed! [link] [comments] |
Chestplates and leggings should have enchantments unique to them Posted: 07 Sep 2019 11:04 AM PDT I feel that as far as enchanting goes, helmets and boots get too much attention, for lack of a better word. Boot enchantments are like feather falling, depth strider, and frost walker, all of which are extremely good even for low level ones. Helmet enchantments like aqua affinity (which makes mining underwater quicker, and improves underwater vision if I'm not mistaken) and respiration improving waterbreathing, all of which are great. Since helmet enchants (the unique ones) are about vision, then the chestplate should be about the heart and body, hopefully for obvious reasons. The leggings involve things like running and jumping. Chestplate enchants: Healthy heart: when on an equipped piece of armor, it makes it so you don't stop sprinting no matter how hungry. (Might not be realistic, but you can craft a cake without a furnace.) and jumping has no effect on hunger. Boosted immunity, can be level 1, 2, or 3: potions or arrows of harming do 2 hearts less (displayed as 4x I believe in damage?), and poison effects are reduced in duration by 5 seconds for each level Legging enchantments: Acrobat: when worn you have that lowest speed boost (like 20% increase I think?) and jump boost (you can now just BARELY jump over a fence now) Endurance: cobwebs, soul sand, and anything solid (not water or lava) reduce movement speed only by 10%, so you move just a little slower. Running does not drain hunger quicker (your hunger when running depletes as if you were walking, things like fighting still go down as normal), you can swim while low on hunger, and you are not knocked back as far if you crouch. They could be obtained from an enchanting table just like most enchants. [link] [comments] |
Cobwebs should be craftable using string and slime Posted: 07 Sep 2019 07:42 AM PDT You should be able to make cobwebs using 5 string and 4 slime balls in a TNT pattern. Somewhat-expensive but easy to farm given the right infrastructure. [link] [comments] |
Glowstone Islands x The Nether Posted: 07 Sep 2019 08:42 AM PDT The Nether has not been updated in a while now Glowstone clusters that spawn in the nether are often very overlooked and not used at all unless for construction/decoration purposes. Glowstone clusters should have a 1/20 chance to generate a glowstone floating island. These floating islands will be made out of glowstone and sometimes nether brick huts will generate on top of the island. Each glowstone island will come with a chest of loot and a small pool of lava. Posted: 07 Sep 2019 08:04 AM PDT I would love them to be able to top off a glass pane box nicely or use them to encase something in glass like a flower (beauty and the beast style). So the glass is on the edge of the block and not in the middle. They would also be good for windows you can open and shoot arrows out of. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Sep 2019 11:07 AM PDT I think it would be funny if you could take 2 pigs with saddles, and hook a lead between them and that will make them stack up (up to 5 tall) and when you stack 5 up and ride it, you get an advancement called "Nice view up here" [link] [comments] |
