Feeding a Zombie Pigmen a Golden Carrot and a Potion of Weakness should turn it into a Piglin.

To me, the Piglin resembles an Unzombified Pigman so it would make sense to cure Zombie Pigmen into Piglins.

Husks Should Crawl Instead of Walk

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 07:10 AM PDT

Husks are zombies that got a little too tanned, or more realistically, a human that died in the dessert. The rest is self explanatory, if a human died while crawling and became a zombie, it would make sense for that zombie to crawl as well. This further differentiates the husks from regular zombies and drowned.

There should be a new gamemode that spawns you in the nether FIRST. And you have to follow a very different progression path to get to the overworld. (Kinda long post)

    Posted: 28 Sep 2019 03:59 PM PDT

Since the nether is getting an update and is going to become slightly more livable, I think we should have this new challenge where you start survival in the nether and then eventually get to the overworld.

And here is a brief description of the progression path told in a sort of story form.

    Act 1

So you spawn in the nether. Everything is hostile and dangerous. No food, no weapons, no armor.

You manage to find a netherwart forest and punch a netherwart "tree" and get its "wood". But it crafts a very shoddy crafting table that can only craft very basic tools before it breaks.

Crafting table broke, but now you have some tools and a sword! Try taking on the Hoglin Beasts. Because you need to eat. They will also drop leather, allowing you to soon make your first suit of armor.

    Act 2

You're exploring the Nether. Better equipt than you were when you started, but you're still looking over your shoulder.

You can find two different types of structures that are both abandoned, allowing you to loot them safely.

    • Abandoned Piglin Camp
    • Abandoned Nether Outpost

You can find Gold or Coal, Golden tools or Stone. But you might also find the most valuable item you can get at this point, a bowl. Which will allow you to forage mushrooms instead of hunting everytime you need to eat.

    Act 3

You've looted a bunch of those small abandoned structures. And you have enough gold to craft golden armor. Better than leather, and you can now unlock bartering with piglins.

    They'll take things like...
    - Mushrooms - Netherwarts - Gold - Coal - Hoglin Tusks - Quartz

And give you things like... - Armor - Crossbows - Suspicious Stew - Arrows

And you'll need the best equipment to brave the nether fortress!

    Act 4

You've made it to the nether fortress. It's brutal but thats mostly because you're using golden tools and armor.

Piglins in the fortress aren't going to like the fact that you're stealing the flint and steel from the chests.

The goal is to make it through the blazes, wither skeletons, and angry piglins to find the flint and steel, and then find and light the nether portal found somewhere in the fortress.

    Light it and go through.

    Act 5

Welcome to the overworld. Its a beautiful peaceful morning. You wouldn't realize it until now but the portal in the nether fortress was special. Once you reach the overworld, the portal you came out of will destroy itself so nothing can get through.

But after an experience like that, you'd probably not want to go back for a while. You went through actual hell and you made it here though. And with your nearly broke golden suit, you are back to humble beginnings, ready to take on a new adventure.

    The original adventure.

    Footnotes

I think this is the kind of challenge that veterans of this game would love. Survival mode has had this problem for quite a while that there is so little challenge that it shouldn't even be called survival mode anymore.

But it's too far gone. Mojang would have to nerf too many things to bring the challenge back to survival mode. So how about we make a new survival?

In a place that is already a challenge for everyone at any level!

    Honeyed Pistons for 1.15

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 10:10 AM PDT

Simply put, a honeyed version of a piston that is capable of adhering to entities as well as blocks, as honey blocks do. The regular sticky piston's head could be made slightly bouncy to differentiate them.

    New Mountain Mines

Use more target blocks to make a bigger target.

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 01:54 PM PDT

The target block is going to be a cool addition but it's so small for 1 block to have 16 points to increase signal strength so perhaps if you placed more on top and next to it that the target will connect and get bigger eventually maxing out at 16 lines. This would be useful for making archery ranges with difficulty levels and also making password protected doors by having to shoot a specific ring of the target. It's just something simple that would improve then.

Soul Sand Tipped Arrows Whose Fire Is Blue If Fired from a Flame Bow

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 12:16 PM PDT

Fire will be blue when lit on top of soul sand blocks in the upcoming Nether update. I think it would be cool if we could utilize this blue fire in combat. Soul Sand Tipped Arrows would allow for the use of blue fire when these are fired from a Flame bow. I imagine they would be crafted similarly to Spectral Arrows. These would have no special effects on targets, they would simply be available to look neat.

There should be a thing where villagers if their homes are all destroyed should move to the closest village in a migration. These villagers would then while within the new village would be forced into buildings at night.

Large Obsidian Veins deep in the nether.

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 03:26 AM PDT

I think it's a decent idea and could help those in the nether have a way to get back to the overworld.

They could spawn very deep under the ground and be much larger veins than that of the overworld.

I also like the nod to Notch's idea of obsidian veins in the early development of the game.

This has already been suggested on the Minecraft feedback website here, and since the Nether Update is inbound it could work.

Nether Firestorms and other nether weather

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 08:29 AM PDT

while the nether is being made more hospitable, i believe it would be cool to introduce some mechanics that make the nether a just as dangerous place

i propose the Firestorm, a random weather event that will happen occasionally in the nether, befor a firestorm, flame particles will begin to show up here and there, during a firestorm, flame particles will fall like rain in a diagonal way, while this is happening, small spark or fireball entities will appear, heading torward the ground in the same direction and speed as the particles. these spark entities will set aflame any entity they touch, however, they will not set blocks on fire. the intensity if the particles, and quantity of sparks, will increase with the intensity of the firestorm, a firestorms intensity will be randomly chosen before it starts, and can range from a gentle sprinkle to an absolute hellstorm.

I interpreted the sandsoul valley and the blue netherwart forest as being plaves that are extremely cold, i really like the idea of the nether consisting of two environments, really cold and really hot

because of this, firestorms in these biomes should become blue firestorms, being identical to the regular firestorm

water placed in these extremely cold enviroments should ne instantly turned to blue ice rather than evaporating

another possibility for firestorms is that they spawn multitudes of blazes, or perhaps another nether mob named a "spark"

this mob could be like the blaze, perhaps being a different form, but would maybe attack in different ways, maybe it will fly around erratically, setting fire to any mobs it runs into

    Heavier snowstorms

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 06:00 AM PDT

Considering we have an update to Mountains on the way, i thought of an idea to not make it as easy as climbing a mountain normally

Only in mountain biomes the snow will be stronger and cause an extra layer of snow (which will probably be the "snowier snow", there could also be an interface where it's harder to see (like the pumpkin head)

However they should not be common but not rare either, more like an in between

Blue Fire Charges (Blue Fire On Any Surface; Image Included)

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 01:03 PM PDT

I believe a great opportunity has been wasted if blue fire is limited to the surfaces of soul sand blocks. Blue Fire Charges could provide plenty of creative uses for blue fire! They would be crafted with blaze powder, coal/charcoal, gunpowder, and soul sand for a result of 3 charges. They would light blue fire on any surface and would be blue when fired from a dispenser.

Make a way to release the souls from soulsand? Minecraft 1.16

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 11:24 AM PDT

They should add a way to release a soul from a soulsand block.

Some "magic" way to release the soul from the soulsand could be that you use some curing potion. Freeing some AI from the soulsand can in a 1/20 chance be a Villager, 15/20 chance be a Zombie Pigman or Piglin, or something else.

Snow-angels should be added as a new activity and as a new mob in the mountains biome update

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 11:23 AM PDT

Part 1 (The Activity): Since mountains are going to be updated with new mobs and since the snow is going to be 'snowier', then there should be a way to do more with snow. Snow-angels would give a nice little experience to people who love this activity (and to people that hardly even get snow irl).

Part 2 (the mob): A new Snow-angel mob should be added. Zombies have Husks. Skeletons have Strays. Slimes have Magma Cubes. Villagers have Illagers. It makes so much sense to give the lovable Snow Golem a related mob as well. The recipe for this mob could be placing down two snow blocks (like the Snow Golem) and then perhaps an angel halo (recipe for the halo could be 8 gold in a square in a crafting table) and behold! You have yourself a Snow-angel mob. I know what you're thinking, what does it do? Well, since its cousin simply shoots snowballs at enemies on the ground, the Snow-angel could possibly shoot snowballs while flying, hence its angel feature. Imagine a raid is happening and you have your Snow-angel firing at the enemy from above, helping your village gain victory. Now the A.I. for this Snow-angel would be similar to the Iron Golem for staying at the nearest village to protect it. And the Snow-angel would always be flying (perhaps clockwise?) around the village to seek out if enemies are anywhere nearby, especially at night.

And there we go. A new snow-angel activity and a new Snow-angel mob (maybe named the Snow-angel Golem?) added in the new mountains update to truly spice things up with snow.

Giant Roaches/Magic Roaches (The Horde Mod)

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 01:15 PM PDT

I'm not saying all of these should be used or even considered. It's just fun to suggest.

Just hear me out. I feel like we are missing something. Something to fear, that gets under your skin. Something to over whelm the player. We have silverfish, but we need something bigger.

I think it would be cool to have big, ugly, disgusting cockroaches! You can find them in caves and other creepy places. They come in all sizes! Just like the trout.

Giant Cockroaches aren't particularly strong, but in numbers they can do damage and completely overwhelm you. They attack in hordes of up to six or more at a time. If they are losing a fight they could scatter and lay eggs that spawn new roaches, adding to their horde. The player should take note of this and always try and fight them. Cockroaches crawl at you, jump at you, and even fly at you. Yes, cockroaches can fly, I'm not even kidding.

They don't like light sources, not one bit. So, place a torch down and watch them scatter back into the deepest, darkest crevices known to man.

Perhaps you could find the Legendary Magical Roach. Its passive so don't hurt it! You could even milk it, (I'm still figuring that one out). But apparently people have milked roaches before, I'm not kidding, I wish I was. The milk could have some magical properties. You could make a "pulvilli potion". For those who don't know what pulvilli is, that allows insects to crawl on smooth vertical surfaces like walls. I mean think of the possibilities of that.

Let's get back to the bad roaches. If you kill a roach, it has a chance to drop roach meat and chitin. Roach meat would replenish two hunger bars if you cook it. You could craft chitin into chitin armor. It would probably be C tier armor. Apparently these guys can survive a nuclear blast so maybe you could craft a Block of Chitin that can withstand a creeper blass. Speaking of nuclear blasts, it would be cool if you tried annihilating the vermin with TNT it doesn't hurt them. They will inherent the Earth one day, I know it. So that's my pitch for the Giant Cockroach.

Unfortunately, I couldn't post it on Minecraft Feedback because it was too long as you could guess so I made a shorter version if you like my idea give it a upvote on their and help me out I would really appreciate it and who knows we may see it in game someday!

I would love to hear everyone's feedback on it! Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day!

Its pending right now so check back for it later Thank! https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360052510091-Giant-Roaches-Magic-Roaches-The-Horde-Mod-

A giant Nether Mob that the Fossils come from!

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 12:57 PM PDT

We've seen that fossils will be in the soul sand valleys in the Nether Update, which begs the question, what died and made that thing? The answer is a new rare mob that roams these plains.

    basic description

The mob would be giant, the size of one of the fossils, and would roam the soul sand valleys. They would be neutral, so that if you attacked them they would attempt to kill you, but otherwise would leave you alone. Looks wise, they should be a pale light blue color with brown accents to fit with the soul sand valley.

    interaction with player

The mob would be slow but strong and have slightly more health than an Iron Golem. Because they are rare, they would necessarily drop quite a bit of xp and something like a giant steak, a food item that gives you a lot of restored hunger, and possibly a bone block as well

    Biome and rarity

To make it so that they are not just waltzing around with their dead brothers, the soul sand valley would be segmented into two sub-biomes, one with the living creatures and one with the fossils. The "dead" soul sand valley would be much more common than the living one, making the act of walking in on such a valley much more rare and exciting.

New Concept of a Biome: Prairie

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 02:58 PM PDT

It has been a while since we had a new biome, we had the recently added coral reefs... it's time for a new Biome... the Prairie

-Let's start off with the new mobs:

Bison, Buffalo and Oxen: They would look like ravagers, but with the cow face, they are neutral, and when attacked, they will charge at the player with Tremendous speed, The Buffalo Varient would simply spit at the player like a llama, while an Ox will do the combined attacks and do a Stampede (I will get to those later)

Scarecrow: a New Type of zombie, it looks like a husk but a yellowish-green, and wearing a pair of overalls, they're the opposite of Enderman, for they will attack and move if you look away from them.

Crow: a new Type of bird that, will not attack the player but will instead sneak into the players chest and steal any wheat or crops in there.

Cicadas, Wasps, Hornets And Locusts: a new set of insects, each will attack the player and also destroy crops, they can also attack sheep, cows, pigs, horses, Bison, Buffalo, Oxen, And Villagers.

Snakes: The snake will be found in giant bushes, get too close and they attack by inflicting poison, they have the rare chance to spawn in the nether.

Coyotes: Wolves that will reside in caves during the day and head out during the night, just make sure not to hold out a bone when near them, or they will attack you for it! They are tamable with Steak though.

Outlaw (AKA Wandering Pillager): a new type of Illager that will be in the Prairie, and also the desert, they can hide behind the tall grass, and can sometimes spawn with a reinforcement, a Horse. The Outlaw Horse will attack the player by charging at it.

Hunters: a New profession for the villager, however, unlike other villagers, they are neutral, and if provoked, will attack the player with a crossbow for a few seconds. They can also spawn with a leashed Iron golem, they can also hunt down Zombies, Husks, Drowned, Illagers And Witches, And will attempt to cure zombie villagers.

Silverfish Cocoons: these things will be found near where snakes lie, they act like shulkers where they can't move, but can fire a projectile that inflicts poison from a Rotten Flower Pedal (I'll get to those later), after it has shot 20 of these, it will hatch, and 1-5 silverfish will spawn, along with a chance to spawn 0-2 snakes, They can also, if provoked enough, break all silverfish spawn blocks

Gophers: They will be found near burrows and will do something clever, when the player isn't looking, it will take something the player doesn't want and dropped it, with either a even more useless thing, like Andesite, or something valuable, like an totem of undying.

Ferrets: They will be found in various hiding places, feed it steak, pork, chicken or mutton and it will guide you to a abandoned mineshaft.

Silver worms: the Larvae for silverfish, they aren't hostile, and can be placed in a Silo (I'll explain what that is later), after 3 in-game days they will transform into a cocoon.

Longhorn: Seperate from the Buffalo, Bison And Oxen, Longhorns will travel in herds and can be fed Prairie Bush Grass, Be Careful because they can indirectly cause harm to the player if the player touches their head.

Ants: Found in Ant mounds, they will attack you if you hit them, or if you step on them.

Bears: They look like polar bears but brown, they are neutral until provoked. They will then chase the player in groups of 8-10. They can be found in caves with Coyotes. They can also attack Illagers, Zombies, cows, Ravagers and Buffalo. Ravagers will attempt to attack while Illagers, cows or buffalo run away from them.

Elder Scarecrow: found within groups of prairie bushes, these things are literally way scarier than the normal editions, they will attack you if you stand still and not look at them. They will give you a bad omen effect if you stay within 30 blocks of them.

    -Now for the Plants

Corn: a Growable crop that can be found in villager farms or in the form of tall Prairie grass.

Rotten flowers: Flowers that have gotten too hot from the sun with little water, stepping on them will inflict poison, you can use bone meal to Unpoison them and turn them into Regular Flowers

Prairie bush leaves: They will be found in bushes, and when broken, will give you Prairie Leaves, which when crafted makes string. Be careful, check if you see two red eyes in there, breaking those will spawn a snake. You can use these to calm down an Ox

Straw: Tall Grass that can be found in a 20x20 patch, when crafted, they will make Wheat. Or you can use these calm down a hostile Bison or Buffalo.

Cotton Flower: you can harvest these things to craft cotton, which can be made into leather, wool, or string.

Silver flower: Unusual Flowers that will be surrounded with silverfish, silverworms, And Silverfish cocoons. Be careful, stepping on them will cause slowness.

-Now for the Structures and Sub-Biomes

Prairie Villages: Villages found in the Prairie made with Prairie Bush wood blocks, they will have the same farms, except with the addition of a Buffalo. It will also have Chicken Coops and Silo's.

Prairie Bush: They look like trees, except they are a pile of leaves and wood in a 8x8 area, they will contain snakes, Scarecrows, and silverfish, Illagers And Zombies have a chance to camp near them,

Burrows: Small tunnels that are dug up by gophers, They are home to Gophers, Silverfish, Spiders, And Baby Variants of the zombie and husks.

Meadow: a Circle of trees, with flowers within the circle, digging underneath will lead you to a gold mine.

Gold Mine: a variant of the mineshaft, it will contain tons of gold and even gold blocks! Will also contain a nether portal, tons of silverfish cocoons, and even, if their deep enough, zombie pigmen and blazes near the nether portal room.

-Now for the blocks Silo: a new way to turn your grains into food, you can turn wheat into bread. Corn into Corn puffs, and even can make stews when a bowl and water is added in.

Chicken coop: useful to contain eggs, once a while, a baby chicken could spawn near the coop, but be careful, untamed wolfs, Illagers, coyotes, foxes and insects (including spiders) can break them. And attack the chickens.

Waterwheel: a new redstone contraption that requires water to work, you would need wood of course, and some redstone.

Ore Hopper: requiring a hopper and a observer, they can be used to find hidden ores in sand, dirt, clay, terracotta, netherrack, and gravel. It will let out a redstone pulse if it finds ore.

Pile o' Crops: it works like a chest, except with something cooler, crops will grow in them, and touching them may have the chance to give you wheat, corn, fruit, melons, and more rarely, a golden apple, but be careful, you may get to the chance to spawn in a snake, Silverfish, a horde of wasps, cicadas, locusts and hornets, a spider, and even less luckily, a baby zombie with 2 crows, the only well to tell if a mob is in there is to listen carefully, and watch for 2 glowing eyes in them

Pile o' thorns: crafted from Prairie Bush leaves and sticks, they act as a defense system, any mobs that touch them will get hurt. Certain mobs, such as Enderman, Coyotes, Ants, Silverfish, And even vindicator's will not take damage at all from them, and will instead walk very slowly.

-Now for events: Dust storms: at random, in the middle of the day, a bunch of sand, dead bushes and dirt will rain from the sky, Villagers will panic and head inside. Zombies and skeletons will appear, what's even scarier is how the phantoms would act, if in the dust storm, phantoms would sometimes flap their wings together and fire a Ball of Dust, if it hits the player, it will inflict slowness and blindness for 30 seconds. Another thing to note are dust devils and tornadoes, getting caught in one will fling any mobs or players a long way away.

Stampede: If at least 5 of either ravages, Buffalo, Oxen, Bison, or cows are killed. A boss bar will appear labeled "stampede", unlike the other boss bars, it will go down on its own, the only to win? Survive. Flocks of Buffalo will charge towards you, sometimes being lead by a outlaw on a horse accompanied with a vindicator riding a ravager. After time has past, they will calm down.

And that is what I think the new Biome should be, have any suggestions? Thoughts? Questions? Feel free to ask!

    Gold foil

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 03:36 PM PDT

Gold foils can be crated by putting golden nuggets in the crafting bench like paper.

They could be used to create fake golden apples and lucky books.

Fake golden aplles give no effect and are crafted with the same recipe as golden apples but with foil instead of gold ingots.

Golden books are crafted like normal books but with gold foil instead of paper.

Just like normal books they can be enchanted and this will create Enchanted golden books and they behave like normal enchanted books.

When a golden enchanted book is put in an anvil with a gold tool, weapon or armor, it will give an extra random enchantment, other than the ones written on it.
