Zombies can regenerate a small amount of health by consuming a piece of rotten flesh they're holding.

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 03:52 AM PDT

It's pretty simple. I'm sure you've fought a horde of zombies before and saw some of them pick up their fallen brother's flesh. Once they pick up this flesh they can "eat" it to regenerate health. They regenerate 2 health points (half hearts) in Easy mode, 4 in Normal, and 6 in Hard.

The only thing I might suggest is some sort of limitation on it. Like a cooldown timer or maybe some code telling the zombie it can or can't eat the flesh, similar to when they go to break down a door.

Just another thing to make fights with monsters a little more challenging, especially with what's looking to be a buff to players with the new combat system.

Boat with a Barrel, Instead of Boat with a Chest

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 02:47 PM PDT

The swamp obviously has to win the vote first before this would actually matter, but unless they come out with something really great for mountains, I think we all know what the result will be.

Chests have been suggested to go into boats for the longest time now, but to be honest, the barrel would be more appropriate now that we have it--especially since it is a work station block for fishermen villagers. They could also just give us both, and even include a Minecart w/ Barrel at some point, if they were so inclined.

Leaves should be cut 3x as fast by sword

    Makes sense...

Walking through the forest cutting plants with your machete in real live

( edit : maybe not 3x but definitely faster )

If the swamp biome wins at Minecon Live, then frogs should eat silverfish.

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 10:01 AM PDT

Think about it: bees and spiders in Minecraft are way too big to be eaten by the frog shown in the new swamp video, and silverfish are just about the right size to be eaten by frogs.

Also, this would allow players to bring frogs via leashes to strongholds and have them eat silverfish that are in the way (in the end portal room).

    Trapdoor crafting improvement

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 12:24 PM PDT

Back long ago before 1.8, doors had the same crafting recipe they do today, only they yielded one door for 6 blocks in an upright rectangle shape. Trapdoors which use the same amount of blocks to craft yield 2 trapdoors, which made sense because trapdoors are half the size of normal doors.

Since the advent of better crafting, the traditional door recipe has yielded 3 doors, or one for every two blocks on the grid. The trapdoor recipe has remained the same, still giving 2 trapdoors. They should update this to give 6 trapdoors for the same recipe to be more in line with the current door recipe.

Blazes have a chance to drop blaze powder if you kill them with a crit

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 02:50 PM PDT

This would be in addition to any blaze rods they would drop. The idea behind this is that you're attacking with such force that you smash a couple rods.

    Baby frogs should be tadpoles

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 08:31 AM PDT

As many of you already know, the content of swamps were announced today. Among it are frogs. We haven't been told about anything they would do, but I'm sure they'll be breedable.

The title may sound obvious, but baby bees are tiny bees instead of larvae like they should bee. (Though they are real cute ngl)

Tadpoles would be a lot more immersive and educational, and the difference in appearances and behavior means we basically get two creatures for the price of one.

Chickens on leads can be used as parachutes

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 01:04 PM PDT

Get 4-5 chickens on leads and you'll fall at a rate equal to the slow fall potion. This can be used as an early game low quality glider.

    New Banner pattern: Heart

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 07:12 AM PDT

The Heart banner pattern was introduced in the "Love and Hugs" update. Here's what it looks like.

I believe this pattern should be reimplemented, made using a Poppy. This would be a nice feature for aesthetics.

    Stone Tools Rework

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 03:40 PM PDT

In my opinion, the easy availability of stone tools makes their wood counterparts irrelevant. To combat this, I suggest that stone be used to make stone tools (also, it makes sense), making wood tools serve a purpose. They would be your main set of tools until you have access to coal, to get stone tools.

    Make Frost Walker useful

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 06:15 AM PDT

As it stands, frost walker is a pretty useless enchantment. It has some applications but not that many. I have a couple suggestions to make it more useful.

    1. Let them work while in a boat. That way frost walker is an enchantment that allows quick travel across an ocean. (If you dont know, boats + ice = mach 7 travel speed)
    2. Let them work on lava. As in, if you were in the nether, you could walk across lava and it temporarily turns into obsidian the same way water turns to ice.

Frost walker doesnt have a lot of applications but if both of these features were added it would be an enchantment worth getting

    Dream wisps

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 04:51 PM PDT

These are very rare occasions where the sky turns bright purple and clouds or spiral white dreams float across the sky. If you shoot a dream wisp with a bow, an enchanted book will fall out of the sky and the wisp will sparkle and pop into dream matter. You can only do this once for every dream wisp event. (Player specific) If you sleep during this event, you will wake up with regeneration and swiftness for a few seconds as a result of good dreams. Phantoms will also puff into nothingness during this.

We sort of need more useful weather other than the thunderstorms providing riptide in the air and channeling of lightning. (Maybe crops grow better during rain idk)

    Soul glass

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 04:34 AM PDT

At Minecon there was shown original water system, which allowed water logging signs and fences among other things. This caused backlash since it made some machines more complicated. However, there is an elegant solution to the problem, allowing waterlogging yet keeping machines small.

Meet soul glass, which would allow enteties and items to pass through while liquids keep acting like there is a full block. It would be produced by smelting soulsand, making it not overly expensive.

That could be a compromise between beauty and function

New Structure For Mountain Biomes - Stone Circles (images attached)

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 06:00 PM PDT

Stone circles would generate quite rarely in Mountain Biomes, and only above a certain height (let's say y=100). They would consist of pillars in a circular formation, resembling Stonehenge, made of stone bricks, cracked stone bricks and chiseled stone bricks.

Here are some pictures to give a general idea.

The pillars of the circle would occasionally generate with redstone torches on them.

In the centre of the circle would be 4 chiseled stone bricks, underneath which is a spiral stone staircase leading underground to a chest. The loot in the chest would be of similar quality to desert and jungle temples.

I think this idea would fit in well with the general aesthetic of the game and isn't needlessly complicated - it is simply a neat little find you would occasionally come across and improve the exploration of mountain biomes.

Breedable animals have genes and randomized sizes, as well as dogs and cats having litters of 2-4

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 06:54 AM PDT

The genes in an animal would come out in that animals offspring and grant them buffs or debuffs

It'll make farming and animal breeding more fun for instance you breed two wolves with both of them being larger than average (hence the randomized sizes) and you'll get an even bigger puppy in the litter, eventually you'll have basically bred an Irish wolfhound with high damage low speed and vice versa for small dogs.

For cats there would be a gene for aggression to where the will attack small animals and sometimes even you!

I also think there should be punishments for overbreeding, like for cows they dont produce milk or they give less meat, wolves might be slower than usual or refuse to attack sometimes and runaway.

Some Natural Magic (no overpowered wands or pvp destroying spells)

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 08:13 AM PDT

First off, hi Im new to the page I posted this on the feedback website but within an hour a good 30 other posts had burried it away so I thought i might stop lurking on this page and share an idea.

Basically I think we all could agree magic is lacking in the game and basically the closest thing to "spells" are potions and since tipped arrows are end game and you can brew every potion type in an hour I thought of a few things that could be added with more of a druid feel.

(I want to try and keep this short but it mighy be a long one) 1. Cauldron spells: basically cauldrons do nothing, let us light a fire underneath and put flowers in the water to give players an early game beacon. The water would boil away after 5 minutes but it could give some unqiue effects like clearing negative effects.

    1. Crafted totems: small expensive charms that break overtime or after a trigged event (e.g. totem of undying) my best idea is a totem of cat, with it in off hand creepers will fear you but after about 30 minutes (total in hand) it breaks

    2. Basic staves: these could also be totems and again nothing game break but something like a staff of wind that pushes away players, mobs and arrows along with similiar staffs would give players who arent good at pvp and fighting chance to get away

    3. Just some crafting things: *flower basket *a few different gems (for totem recipes) *Infuser (draws xp to craft totems or stpre xp in bottles) *Oil pot (for crafting oils check below) And a few other things

    4. Oils: some blade and arrow oils but instead of a full enchantment it would be like "poison 3/3" you put in on your sword and the next 3 strikes will poison a target, same with arrows (infinity wont keep oil stocked up) this gives us tipped arrows before the end but still doesnt make them game breaking.

I know these ideas seem far out there and this might be removed but my whole idea is that this would allow the community to bloom. Dufferent flowers would be wanted for different spells, totems or oils so players need to adventure (or trade on servers) players who want to be ranged magic focus dont need to wait till end game and it brings the world to life, the enviroment wouldnt just be a setting anymore.

Thank you for reading Hope you enjoyed, please please please either contribute or express thoughts below :)

    Mud bricks and blocks

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 10:35 AM PDT

basically there will be areas with mud with pigs around there(not muddy pigs) and there will be mud blocks. they will be like quicksand, but much more liquidish. when you get them with shovel,it will give 3-2 pieces of mud and they will make mub bricks when cooked. and they will used to make mud brick blocks. mud also will get made by one dirt and water bucket. also if you get 4 mubds together you will make a mud block. with cooking it will give hardened mud.

Frogs should drop frog legs that can be brewed into a frog potion

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 04:27 PM PDT

When a frog is killed, it has a chance of dropping a frog leg. One would expect this to be brewable into a jump boost potion, but I thought of something a little more unique. When brewed, you'll receive frog potions, which turns the drinker into a frog for a short period of time. The base potion just gives you the looks and size of a frog, but when glowstone is added, you get the jump height of the frog. The potion can allow you to slip into spaces you wouldn't fit normally, sneak past mobs without being attacked, and turn monsters into frogs if they're giving you too much trouble.

Given that the swamp is chosen this year, the frogs should drop “webbed feet” these can be crafted into boots that offer 2x swimming speed.

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 05:52 PM PDT

I thought this idea would be good because I didn't want the frogs to be borderline useless and forgettable similar to the rabbits are now.

    New mechanic: stun!

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 08:29 AM PDT

    Watch is it?

"Stunned" is an effect that the entity that has it to be completely unable to move or attack, and having a rotating stars above his head; also it will discharge weapon such bows and tridents and the elytra to close.

    How does it work?

Hitting an enemy whit a weapon that has knockback has a chance of 30% for knockback I and 40% for knockback II to inflict "stunned" for 1 seconds; tridents also has a chance of 20% to inflict "stunned" for 1 second.

Iron golems also have a 50% chance of being stun enemies

Explosions also can stun for 1 seconds, chances depends on the type of the explosion; ghast explosions had a 40% chance, creeper's 50%, TNT's 70% and charged creeper's 90%.

    How do I protect myself?

Shielding will protect you from nearly every attack, except for charged creeper's explosions, which would still have a 10% chance of stun

Having blast protection on your armour will also reduce reduce the chance of begging stunned by enemies and explosions

Also the effect doesn't stack, and after beginning stunned you have 3 seconds of immunity

I'm sure if this mechanic fits well in the game, but I wanted to share it; also sorry for my English, is not my first language

Villagers will give you a unique item after a successful Raid.

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 12:40 PM PDT

After a successful Raid, a Villager will give you a Present as a gift. Depending on the difficulty of the Raid, the Present will be a different color. Level 1 is blue, Level 2 is purple, Level 3 is green, Level 4 is orange, Level 5 is yellow, Level 6 is red, and any level above that is black.

Presents can be placed, so they act as a good decoration or a trophy for defeating a Raid. When broken, they give you 1 completely random item/block(you can collect the present with Silk Touch).

Here is a list of items/blocks it CANNOT give you:

    • Spawn Eggs
    • Minecart with Command Block
    • Trident
    • Chorus Fruit
    • Elytra
    • Knowledge Book
    • Totem of Undying
    • Dragon's Breath
    • Heart of the Sea
    • Nether Star
    • Popped Chorus Fruit
    • Shulker Shell
    • Bedrock
    • Mob Spawner
    • Technical Blocks
    • Purpur Block, Pillar, Slab or Stair
    • Endstone, Endstone Brick, Slab or Stair
    • End Rod
    • Dragon Egg
    • End Portal Frame
    • Shulker Box
    • Head
    • Beacon
    • Jigsaw, Command, or Structure Block
    • Barrier
    • Structure Void
    • ...and any other creative only item I may have missed.

Other than that, you can get any item or block in the game. You could get a Diamond Block, a Red Stained Glass Pane, a Fire Charge, a Spruce Fence, an Iron Sword...anything, really! Don't count on Presents to cheat the game progression, because you only get one per Raid and they give you 1 random item. You never know what you're gonna get!

Overall, I think this would be a nice addition since it would give a new reward for defeating a Raid and would make your trophy room truly complete. All the other bosses have trophies(except for the elder guardian), why not Raids?

    Baby Mobs potion

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 05:27 PM PDT

I have always wanted to keep baby mobs from growing up and I think this is a good way to do it.

A slash potion that if used on a baby mob will keep it a baby forever (or for a very long time).

Idk what it would be made of, probably something pretty rare though like a specific type of tropical fish or something
