    Spooky Scary Stuff

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 06:35 AM PST

I don't know if anyone has suggested this yet but hear me out...

What if there's a very small chance that a skeleton's skull would generate in the deep eerie caverns for the player to randomly stumble upon and take it back home as a novelty?

I feel like the current way of obtaining it is extremely rare and risky, it might even take ages to have a charged creeper to spawn, so a fitting alternative method would be nice.

tl;dr = Skeleton's skull would be very rarely generated in caves.

    Any thoughts?

Creepers explode into fireworks on New Year

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 11:08 AM PST

It would be cool on New Year's day Creepers would make various different firework effects when exploding, instead of smoke like normally

It would work like how currently chests turn into presents on Christmas, and how undead mobs wear pumpkins on Halloween.

Tamed wolves should roll over for an idle animation.

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 07:33 PM PST

Just another cute suggestion to distinguish wild wolves from tamed ones. Plus, it makes them more like pets.

All mobs have a chance at a random generation which affects them in someway

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 07:16 PM PST

What I mean by this, is there are already mobs that have a very low percent chance of spawning with some sort of a super mutation. Charged creeper is exist, baby zombies exist, skeleton Jockeys exist. I feel like all mobs should have this sort of super charged variant.

This applies to peaceful mobs as well. For instance, maybe one in 100 sheep horns like rams. Or 1/25 cows have horns like a bull. It would be wonderful addition in my opinion

    New enchantment: Retrieval

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 01:42 AM PST

This is a shield enchantment. When an arrow lands on a Retrieval-enchanted shield, it gets stuck to it and can be "retrieved" later. The arrows drop when you unequip the shield, allowing the player to pick them up. It probably has a maximum capacity of 3 arrows at level I and 5 arrows at level II.

    Thanks for reading :)

Glazed Terracotta blocks should have a bordered "polished" texture by default, and the specific patterns should be configurable through the stonecutter.

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 10:25 AM PST

Glazed terracotta blocks are very interesting blocks in Minecraft, but have inconsistent patterns based on the color of dye used in the block. To compensate for this, I think glazed terracotta should just have a polished clay texture by default, similar to those of polished granite, diorite, and andesite. Minecraft needs more variants of colored blocks, and I think this glazed terracotta would look great.

But the neat patterns that glazed terracotta blocks already have shouldn't be removed from the game! I think it would be cool if you could put the glazed terracotta into the stonecutter, you could apply any of the current patterns in the game to any color of glazed terracotta, similar to how you can add any pattern to any color of banner for tons of cool variations. This would add so much more personality to the terracotta blocks, because there would be 272 variants of glazed terracotta.

You should be able to leash mobs inside a boat/minecart to make them exit the boat/minecart

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 08:33 AM PST

Sometimes trying breaking a boat/minecart with a mob in it will make you miss and hit the mob instead. Instead of pressing f3+b, why don't we just leash them out?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 08:54 AM PST

    Craft :

Like potion arrows but replace the potion by a lead

    Usage :

    Shoot on a block :

Right click again and it'll get on with an animation to the block

    Shoot on a item :

Right click again and it'll bring the item to you

    Shoot on an entity :

Right click again and it'll bring the entity to you

    Purpose :

Add more features to the crossbow, because most of the minecrafters are using bows.

Sorry for the bad english if I made language mistakes, waiting for your returns, happy new year's eve !

Making temples and other structures more adventurous.

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 03:29 PM PST

I guess we all know how boring dungeons, desert temples and other vanilla structures get over time. My idea was to somehow connect several structures and bosses to create an adventure story line to make the game more interesting. I have nothing particular in mind, but maybe something like a fetch quest? Feel free to share your ideas. :)

    Bouncing tnt.

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 08:46 AM PST

Bouncing tnt would be a tnt varient crafted by replacing the gunpowder in the recipe with slime balls.

Bouncing tnt would cause no damage to entities or the area it blows up in and instead deal double the knockback to any entities, this includes everything regular tnt would knock away.

(Still not sure about the name though, bouncing tnt and everything else i camp up with just kinda sounded awkward)

Blocks should keep their progress towards being destroyed after being mined but not broken

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 01:57 AM PST

This would enable maps makers to decorate their builds with cracked versions of normal blocks, or highlight where the player should mine towards.

    Bonemealing coral

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 03:07 AM PST

As we may know there is Coral Reefs in the Minecraft Oceans and they are Fairly Rare to find. But When you find one of these biomes there is Not a lot to take back without a Silktouch Enchantment. But then even if the biomes was 1000s of Blocks away from your home My Idea is to Sheer Coral/Fans (not blocks) instead of having to use silk touch to obtain it, And then Be able to Bonemeal Either the Coral Or the Coral Fans to make a big Singular Reef of that Selected Coral colour.

Bonemealing Dead Coral/Fans Will not make it grow or change.

Coral/Fans must be in atleast 2block deep water to generate the Reef.

    New villager type: the Bard

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 03:24 AM PST

Uses a note block as it's workstation.

Novice: Note block x2 for 1 emerald & redstone x2 for 1 emerald.

Apprentice: Jukebox x1 for 2 emeralds, random music disc for 40 emeralds & a jukebox.

Journeyman, Expert, & Master only unlocks other types of music discs for a ridiculously high price to discourage too much music disc trading & to encourage farming from creepers instead.

Inspired of how villages of a kingdom should have a druid & a bard. Also inspired by Cacofonix.

    Fracturing Enchantment

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 12:46 AM PST

This would be an enchantment for bows and crossbows. When a player/mob is hit with an arrow with this enchantment, additional arrows that deal ~30% reduced damage shoot out of said entity towards other nearby entities. The arrows created by this enchantment carry on the effects of other enchantments placed in the bow/crossbow, such as flame or piercing. This enchantment is mutually exclusive with multishot. This enchantment would have three levels, with each level increasing the speed and range of the secondary arrows. The base range of this enchantment is 15 blocks and each level increases the range by 5 blocks, to a maximum of 25 blocks on level 3

    Rename Cleric villagers to Druids

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 09:31 PM PST

I think the name "Druids" suits them more because their job site block is a brewing stand. Also, villagers don't seem to follow a religion, which makes the name "Cleric" redundant. Druid, while still having religious meanings, is more relevant imo.

    Getafix anyone?

    Thanks for reading :)

    Time travel portals

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 11:21 AM PST

Portals that could take you to different time periods. Here's what I thought of: dinosaur times, caveman times, ancient history, and the future.

In dinosaur times, there'd be none of the mobs we're familiar with except maybe creepers and endermen. Instead, there'd be dinosaur-type mobs (some passive, some neutral, some hostile).

In caveman times, ocelots would be sabre-toothed tigers and the villagers and illagers would be wearing caveman clothes.

In ancient history, the pyramids would be occupied by ancient Egyptian-type villagers and the now-abandoned mines would be run by villagers.

In the future, it'd be all sci-fi with redstone cities and cool tech.

    Tarantulas

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 10:58 PM PST

They are massive spiders that are 2x larger than normal spiders, and spawn a bit less frequently than regular spiders. They also spawn in abandoned villages and are warm biome exclusive.

Tarantulas are dangerous, as they inflict more damage, are always hostile unlike regular spiders, and will move faster than regular spiders. They also have a more brownish-black texture. Because of their massive size, they will drop 2 string and 2 spider eyes, as well as a larger amount of XP (2x that of a normal spider), and inflict poison and hunger.

Tarantulas do not spawn everywhere, they spawn in warm biomes only, and do not spawn in cold biomes. They hate water, and go under trees during rain, and if in water, they will continuously take damage and drown, just like real arthropods. They are also members of the Monster/Spider mobs in traits, and so inherit the traits of spiders, but are always hostile. Enjoy scaring your friends in Creative Mode! 😈

Option to disable new recipe and help notifications

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 09:49 PM PST

The notifications in the top corner can get really annoying. Whenever I haven't joined a realm or server for a while I always get the "hold left click to break tree" notification and its just irritating. The recipe unlock thing is just kind of annoying and it would mean no harm to disable. I feel like being able to disable these notifications is just a nice feature and should be included.
