Posted: 20 Feb 2020 08:38 AM PST Peppers are well known for being hot and what better way to add in a farmable food in the Nether than some type of pepper? Lets call it a "Ghast Pepper" as a parody of a ghost pepper. The other name could be a Devil Pepper or really anything associated with something hellish. These farmable items would be rarely found hanging from the ceiling of the Nether/in Piglin Bastions as there method of farming (Like this: https://previews.123rf.com/images/tank_bmb/tank_bmb0906/tank_bmb090600011/5014704-hanging-strand-of-red-chili-peppers-in-new-mexico.jpg). They'd grow like Sweet Berries where they'd have a few stages and upon right clicking them, it'll drop all the peppers. Other than restoring a decent amount of hunger, it has a 10% chance of lighting the player on fire. The main usage is brewing these bad boys. Brewing one will make a Potion of Haste (which can be corrupted into a Potion of Dullness). I think Haste works because spice often gives temporary adrenaline. Piglins could even be seen eating them sometimes but they're immune to the Fire effect. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Feb 2020 09:03 AM PST There is too mamy yellow and orange looking light sources in game, and in present form it looks like a variant of a glowstone -i.e. mineral, rather than block of organic origin. The texture itself looks great pattern wise. Re-coloring new shroomlight block to stray further away from the glowstone pallette, and more into the netherrack, would render shroomlight more unique and useful in different builds with different colors. As we finally get blue flames and other lightsources, we can add another color to pallette of light emitting blocks, to further expand on creative options when it comes to lighting areas. I would love to see more of a red/pinkish hue to it in vanilla Minecraft, so it doesn't end up being like glowstone, Jack'o lantern, regular fire, lava or torches, and stands out like a great block that it is. Who's with me on this? [link] [comments] |
Ender Wyrms and Unstable Pearls: an outer end predator and a new form of transport! Posted: 20 Feb 2020 01:19 AM PST Ender Wyrms and Unstable Pearls: a predator of the Outer End and a new form of transport! End Wyrms: https://ibb.co/yWcZT9P End Wyrms are long, eel-like creatures that prowl the outer end isles. They move by "swimming" through the air and conjuring two portals, one in front of them, another at their destination. They attack in a similar way, by creating portals facing players, diving through them at the target, and then creating a new portal to escape through, spearing the unfortunate player and going through them. However, they do have weaknesses. When one creates an exit portal, it hovers in the air for a second before the Ender Wyrm dives through, allowing you to dodge the attack. Also, when one dives at you, you can use a shield to block them, stunning them and causing them to fall on the ground and try to slither slowly away until they regain flight after 5-10 seconds. As you would expect, they get damaged by water, so you can trick them by placing water under their exit portal. They have 15 health, and when killed they can drop an ender pearl (20% chance), chorus fruit, (100% chance of 1-4, dropped popped if the Wyrm is killed by fire) and a Wyrm Eye (15% chance) Wyrm Eyes A Wyrm eye is a rare purple-red eye dropped by Ender Wyrms. It can be crafted with an ender pearl and dragons breath to make an unstable pearl. An unstable pearl, when thrown, will create a portal that rips through space to the place the pearl landed. Mobs, players and items can pass through, but after 3 entities, portals have a chance of collapsing, where it will close and push nearby entities back. Every entity that passes through after the first 3 adds 20% to the chance of a collapse, so after 8 entities, the portal will definitely close. Anyway, that was my idea for Ender Wyrms and Unstable Pearls. I hoped you liked it, and feel free to give feedback in the comments! [link] [comments] |
Fire on obsidian and bedrock should be purple Posted: 20 Feb 2020 10:06 AM PST Or at least fire beneath the end crystals in End should be purple. [link] [comments] |
Enderman can wear armour and hold items, only accessible via commands. Posted: 20 Feb 2020 06:55 AM PST Obviously it would be kind of weird for Enderman to be walking around with really oversized armour and a little sword, so this would only be through commands and Enderman won't spawn naturally (or through a spawn egg) with armour or items (obviously, excluding blocks). You can use /summon to spawn an Enderman holding any item or wearing any item any zombie, skeleton or armour stand can. When an Enderman picks up a flower (naturally or via commands) it will hold it in one hand instead of levitating it between it's hands as if it were a full block. [link] [comments] |
Skeleton horses spawn in the soul sand valley Posted: 20 Feb 2020 05:53 AM PST Don't you wish that there was a easier way to traverse the Nether well the skeleton horse would be great for traveling. Plus it makes sence if skeletons live there why not skeleton horses. Plus if this gets added think of all the new mobs that could come skeleton dogs, skeleton cats, skeleton spiders, maybe even a skeleton t rex! I know that doesn't sound that scary but think of it riding through the nether on a horse made out nothing but bones follow by a army of the undead. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Feb 2020 01:14 PM PST There have always been mushrooms in the nether for soup, but now that new mushrooms have been added, the new mushrooms should be able to be cooked into soup like red and brown mushrooms. They would either separately have a soup, or have nether soup together. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Feb 2020 02:05 PM PST Basically what this would do is make every aggressive mob neutral like pigmen are (were) until you attack them, for when you want to make some tests in survival with aggressive mobs but don't want to be attacked by them. [link] [comments] |
New enchantment for gold and netherite armor. Conductivity Posted: 20 Feb 2020 12:10 PM PST Conductivity would be a new fairly common enchantment exclusive to netherite and gold. (TL;DR At the end) **Funcionality** Conductivity would have 2 effects. 1: Gain absorotion hearts when struck by lightning. 2: depending on the level, it would give you a chance to force any lightning strike happening in an area increasing in distance depending on the level, to strike you. Conductivity would have 3 levels. Level 1: 1 heart absorbed from lighting, and lighting striking in a 75 block radius has a 25% chance to strike you Level 2: 2.5 hearts gained from lighting and lighting striking in a 100 block radius has a 40% chance to strike. Aswell as repair damaged armor. Level: 3: 3 hearts gained from lightning and lightning striking in a 125 block radius has a 50% to strike you. Since gold is in netherite to a smalll extent it is only be able to get level 1 of the enchantment. Visual effects When you have an absorption heart gained by conductivity, it would cause the charged creeper effect to be applied to the player. The effect would dim and brighten depending on the number hearts you have. Side notes Hearts would stay with you forever unless you take damage or remove the pieces of armor with the enchantment applied The user of this enchantment would become immune to lightning at any level of it. Multiple pieces of armor with this enchantment on would not grant any extra effects. Why should this be added? As we've seen so far, mojang are obviously trying to give gold an actual purpouse. I mean it's literally required for the players to get the newest and best resource. And since we've just got netherite added giving it and gold something new and unique to them would, in my opinion, be a good move. TL;DR: Conductivity would make lightning give you health when struck, and would also increase the pontential that you would get struck by lightning. [link] [comments] |
Netherite could be like Tungsten Posted: 20 Feb 2020 06:48 AM PST I was just thinking to keep people from going for Netherite as soon as possible, we could make it give the player a status effect of slowness. Armor that gives status effects is not unheard of, and I thought it might balance gameplay. We could make it only smeltable through blast furnaces. Like tungsten, it would be understandable that the ore chunks don't melt in regular furnaces due to the fact that tungsten doesn't melt until 3422°C. It might SEEM obvious that I just want tungsten in Minecraft, but I really just saw the similarity between the armor texture and tungsten carbide drill bits, and I just thought: " hmmmMmMMmm, this might be an interesting feature for Netherite". Please don't lynch me [link] [comments] |
More Nether materials can change the color of fire (including torches and campfires) Posted: 20 Feb 2020 11:40 AM PST Soul Soil is an awesome way to naturally demonstrate that fire can change color in Minecraft, and I think the Nether should be the dimension players go to for their colored-fire needs. I mean, come on... The place is fire-everything, let's get some chemistry going in this place. Base-Soul Soil and Base-NetherrackYou simply combine 1 Soul Soil or Netherrack with the other material in question (1:1 ratio) to receive 2 combustible blocks each. These can be sand, gravel, flint, diorite, etc. Nearly any underrepresented or underused block and item can be considered.
Each of these new block types would burn forever just like Netherrack or Soul Soil and emit light just as dim as the current soul soil fires. There could also be the ability to expand the color choices by incorporating a combustible Coal Block as the base, instead of Soul Soil or Netherrack? Colored Torches, CampfiresA natural expansion for this idea is to then take your new colored burning block, and combine it with a stick or some campfire materials and get even more colored light sources! Wet Sponges + Coral = Above Water, Living Coral Posted: 19 Feb 2020 10:15 PM PST I'm building at Atlantis village on the coast of a sea, and I'm struggling to build Coral Trees. I thought it would be a perfect idea for the Prismarine-style village, but I'm having some struggles. So my idea was this: if you could have Wet Sponges touching coral above water that they should be able to hydrate the coral. Simple. And honestly the logic is there. Right now, my coral trees consist of a pillar of water surrounded by the coral itself. As long as the water touchest at least one side of the coral, it won't die. This would be a simple feature that really would encourage more builds with Prismarine and Coral above the water's surface. I would love to see this in future gameplay. Thanks! Upvote and share if you agree! [link] [comments] |
Night vision should also work on lava Posted: 20 Feb 2020 10:01 AM PST If the player would dive in lava while having the night vision effect, the player should clearly see everything around. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Feb 2020 09:59 AM PST The player should be able to realistically swim in lava after pressing and holding control just like it is with water. Of course the player would have to be on creative or use potion of fire resistance if he wants to survive. [link] [comments] |
Naming a pet cat with the prefix Princess or King will put a crown on the pets head. Posted: 20 Feb 2020 05:27 PM PST Because cats love to boss you around and like ruling the house. It's a simple golden crown that is put on your cats head, and this makes it also look better. Does not drop the crown or a gold anything upon death. The crown can be unequipped and put in an item frame, or equipped back onto the cat. It sparkles too. Cannot be smelted in the furnace. Can be set down as a 3d decorational object. It's a decorational item, and does not have any gameplay advantage and also cannot be crafted either. [link] [comments] |
Endermen shouldn’t attempt to look directly at the player Posted: 20 Feb 2020 11:24 AM PST I just thought, since endermen become aggressive after being looked in the eye, then why do they look at the player? Surely if it is 'polite' in their culture, they would try not to make eye contact either? So, I think endermen should be changed so that they do not try to look at the player, and seemingly ignore them instead. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Feb 2020 04:55 PM PST I don't know if this has been suggested (I'm quite new here), but I'll explain why I think this is necessary: The tools tiers are wood, then stone, gold, iron, and diamond (and netherite). It's right since wood and stone are really common materaials, so you can craft some tools in the first minutes. However, the armor's tier is far more complicated to get, since the first you usually craft is the iron one. And yes, we have the leather armor but it's not that easy to get 24 leather in the first minutes. It feels wrong, as if there should be a tier lower than the iron armor, analogous to wood/stone tools. And that's the bark armor, but, what's bark? Basically, when you right click on a log with an axe (turning it into stripped wood), there's a chance (let's say 20%) of obtaining bark from that tree (makes sense, right?). Bark can also be used as fuel, and tossing bark to a campfire will speed up the cooking. Crafting a bark armor will grant 4 defense points, and will have low durability, but it's really easy to get and perfect when you start your world. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Feb 2020 12:53 PM PST It could be nice to have a display panel that tells you how many ticks your redstone circuit lasts It is really useful when you have a complex circuit, you don't need to count and maybe have it wrong. [link] [comments] |
Nether Fortress should use the new wood doors and trapdoors Posted: 19 Feb 2020 08:07 PM PST Just a superficial change to make fortresses more visually pleasing and feel as a part of the new updated nether. [link] [comments] |
A little worm/insect etc. that attacks players hiding underground for too long Posted: 20 Feb 2020 04:04 PM PST As a way to stop player from avoiding the night by digging three blocks down a silverfish like mob that spawns on dirt could be used to punish cowards, it would make survival a bit more survival-y by taking the easy way out of a night. Another variation of this pest could be used to make mining a little more "exciting" by attacking players digging 1x2 or 2x2 forwards looking for ores [link] [comments] |
Iron Golem should have a tolerance level toward you Posted: 19 Feb 2020 06:52 PM PST bedrock, Andriod I am sick and tired of getting killed by them every time I accidentally punch villagers when trying to open the door, open chest, trade etc. The Iron Golem does not take consideration for your good deeds. I once battered from fighting a raid, with a bunch of loot in my inventory, all I wanted to do is open a chest to store my loot, then an Iron Golem come across when I tap on my chest resulted in me hitting him. He one-shot me since I am badly hurt from the raid and caught off guard. I respawned nearby but did not make it to retrieve my stuff, they despawned, lost a trident with loyalty and mending. I am on edge of murdering the entire village that I just saved. Iron Golem already have a popularity threshold where they attack you on sight if your popularity is too low, but they should have the same threshold where a friendly tap should be forgiven [link] [comments] |
'Warped Potions'- A New Use for Warped Fungi, Posted: 20 Feb 2020 02:33 PM PST I've been somewhat irritated by the fact that new Warped Fungi plant is an aesthetic-only part of the Nether Update, for the most part. So, I've come up with a new sort of 'use' for them in brewing; Resistance potions. Whenever a potion is modified with Warped Fungi in a brewing stand, you can get 'Warped potions'; potions that resist/inhibit the ability of the original. This could be used to both good and bad effects. Some examples of this would be as follows: Warped Poison potions would make it so that the player has greater resistance to Poison for a small amount of time. It could allow you to keep more hearts than you would have originally been reduced to. As in, you're only reduced to three hearts opposed to the original half a heart. Alternatively, it could slow the time it takes for poison to cut you down to half a heart. Another example could be Warped healing potions. If you're splashed with one of these bad boys, healing potions won't heal as many hearts as usual. Healing II would only restore 6 hearts instead of 8. And... fin. That's the idea, and a relatively simple one at that. I think it would be better for this concept to only work with Warped Fungi for now, because the name cleverly fits with the effect it has on the potions. Besides, Crimson fungi already has a use in breeding Hogins. Instead, I suggest that brewing with Crimson Fungi could result in Crimson Potions- Basically just a new Mundane/Thicc potion, with no effects. I'll post this onto the official feedback page if this idea gains traction here. (FYI: it's not obvious, the effects would not be stackable. That's too OP.) [link] [comments] |
When Red Nylium is ignited or a campfire block is placed on it, the resulting fire will be red Posted: 20 Feb 2020 02:14 AM PST Because it would fit more with that kind of terrain block. It would also fit with the crimson forest biome. It would be blue fire, but the colour is swapped into red to make Red Fire. Red Fire would do the same damage as regular fire, and can only be done on red Nylium blocks. Red Nylium Campfires are basically campfires set on red Nylium, but the flame is red. Again, this is for aesthetics only, it does not burn faster or slower. [link] [comments] |
Stripping trees should give you bark that would replace sticks in the campfire recipe. Posted: 20 Feb 2020 04:29 PM PST Right now stripping bark is only cosmetic. I think it would make sense to create a new item (bark) to be used as kindling for campfires. [link] [comments] |
