Ricochet I - an enchantment for bows and crossbows Posted: 21 Feb 2020 02:31 AM PST This enchantment allows arrows shot by that bow to bounce off blocks. This can potentially be used for really cool trickshots. Levels: As always, thanks for reading! :) [link] [comments] |
Can you give a collision to turtles and ghasts ? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 04:27 AM PST Imagine how cool it would be to surf on a turtle, or fight with swords on top of a Ghast's head. Give collisions only beetween players and the two mobs, so they can still go past mobs without glitching them out. How it would work, is that the player will make on with the ghast or the turtle, so when the ghast/turtle moves, the player moves in harmony with the turtle, to give an impression of collision. It's like a redstone honey block car. [link] [comments] |
Climbing - A Right Click Function For Pickaxes That Drains Durability Posted: 21 Feb 2020 02:13 PM PST The title basically sums it all up. It would be faster than jumping/placing blocks. There would be no need to place/climb a ladder, and it basically makes it easier to climb up mountains/caves, perfect for spelunking. And it gives a pickaxe a right click function like Axes (that can strip wood) It would cost durability though, so the more you climb, the more damaged your pickaxe becomes. Maybe it has some other function as well to make it worthwhile, or it could simply be an alternative method of vertical ascension. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 04:59 AM PST Tired of parrots dying because of cookies? Now make cookies with seeds instead of cocoa beans! Parrot friendly treats that will make them do a little dance. They are even good enough to take them out of your hand! Only 3 emeralds at your local farmer. Hopefully not posted before. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 02:07 PM PST A big problem with cubic chunks in the Overworld is that you can't know if a given block should have sky light or not if you haven't generated up the entire vertical range of the world above it. This is moot in the Nether due to its ambient lighting. Furthermore, the Nether's cave-light terrain is much more suited to spanning a large vertical range than the Overworld's terrain, where mountains can only reasonably get so high, and the rest of the vertical range goes empty. Thus, the Nether could perhaps be made into a cube extending between +- 30 million on all three axes rather than just the horizontal. [link] [comments] |
Map markers for interactable blocks (i.e. crafting tables, furnaces etc...) Posted: 21 Feb 2020 08:25 AM PST So it's nice that we get the ability to color banners and then use them as map markers (on java atleast), but what if we could mark more blocks on maps? Heres also a list of what each marker is sorted from top left to bottom right. 1-11 are just beacons with effects, either combined with regen or by themselves. 12: Barrel 13: Stonecutter 14: Loom 15,: Smithing table 16: Grindstone 17: Blast furnace 18: Brewing stand 19: Lectern 20: Enchanting table 21: Smoker 22: Fletching table 23: Cartography table 24: Crafting table 25: Cauldron 26: Furnace 27: Anvil 28; Chest 29: Trapped chest 30: Composter Why should this feature be added? As i said before, the banner mechanic is good maybe even great, but it could be even better. The ability to mark specific blocks on a map could not only help with customisabilty but also with things like keeping villager job sites in check, different bases in check and in multipayer, help new players on a server/people who just don't know where everything is with locating different areas with a quick glance instead of having to be directly helped by someone else. Posted: 21 Feb 2020 08:59 AM PST Water onto lava source: Obsidian Lava onto water source: Smooth stone Lava onto flowing water: Cobblestone Water onto flowing lava: Basalt In cases where water and lava meet directly (e.g. two flows of equal magnitude collide), they shouldn't produce any block, but should just produce steam and a hissing sound. Posted: 21 Feb 2020 07:03 AM PST A new idea I had. A new block called a shrine can be crafted or found in the Churches of villages. You can sacrifice something extremely valuable i.e diamond, netherite, enchanted item, You can earn something called a blessing which basically means you get an ability like extra health or speed on your character forever unless you decide to remove it. Not bad? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 09:39 AM PST Churches could have graveyards, with graves that could be robbed (similar to how a treasure chest works) and in the wild you could find ancient cemeteries, filled with zombies and skeletons, (maybe have a higher chance of spawning with armor/enchanted weapons) with better loot in them, like a spawner. Netherite and a Use for the Smithing Table Posted: 21 Feb 2020 03:25 PM PST Netherite is pretty cool, but it's a little odd that you take an ingot and an object and craftity craft it into a netherite item, unlike crafting recipes for other tools and armor. If only we had a different block we could use to make this make sense conceptually, ideally one without a use already. Oh wait, we do! I present to you my novel invention, the smithing table. Put in a diamond tool or piece of armor, and a netherite ingot for fuel, and bam! There's your netherite gear. [link] [comments] |
Naturally occurring portals from one point in the overworld to another Posted: 21 Feb 2020 12:44 PM PST These would function very similarly to end portals in most ways: they would be unmovable, generate naturally in some sort of building, and generate with about the same frequency as end portals, but instead of going to the end, they go to a corresponding portal somewhere else in the overworld. The structures should be something above ground, unlike the end portal, so that you don't need a guide like eyes of ender to know that you've found one. Instead, these would be structures that you come across by chance while you're exploring. The portals would always go somewhere extremely far away, probably somewhere on the scale of a hundred thousand blocks or more. Because they aren't movable, though, they can't be used to give players easy teleportation between any 2 places. One purpose of this would be to make exploration just a little bit more interesting. It would be cool to quickly jump huge distances, and it also makes it much easier to find new terrain if you've already done a lot of exploration. This would especially be the case in multiplayer; if you join the server after a lot of people have been on for a while, it can be hard to find places that people haven't developed yet without going thousands of blocks away, making these portals useful to set up new bases. They could also be used as interesting parts of a single base: you could build your base around both sides of a portal and use the portal to get from one part of your base to the other. Posted: 21 Feb 2020 12:25 PM PST This is a beacon but instead of making you stronger it makes mobs stronger. The mobs also drops rarer and better loot. There are two kinds of evil beacon the normal and The stronger variant Which spawns new mobs only available with this beacon. The beacons also haves almost infinite range so you can't just make a farm where the mobs spawn. I want this because mobs don't really do much when you get better armour and weapons. Posted: 21 Feb 2020 02:24 PM PST Redwood trees would have a 3x3 trunk, and grow up to twice the height of tall spruce trees. The wood would be an orange-red color, something like that of Crimson wood, but with a more orange tint. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 08:20 AM PST An enchantment for the bow. Only have 1 level, incompatible with infinity. Basically shoots the arrow straight (like a bullet), but will eventually fall down when it travels for about 25 blocks (don't know if needs to be buffed or nerfed). Arrow will only travel straight if fully charged. Deals 2 less damage than a fully charged unenchanted bow. If the bow have Power 1 or higher, this deals 3 less damage. Treasure enchantment, almost as rare as mending, but cannot be obtained through trading with villagers. [link] [comments] |
[Redstone] The Redstone Director! Posted: 21 Feb 2020 08:44 AM PST Sorry in advance, I'm posting from mobile. Have you ever wanted a redstone signal to go up? Have you ever wanted to push a redstone wire with pistons? Have you ever wanted multiple redstone signals adjecent to each other without then interfering with each other? Well, I'm here to introduce to you... The Redstone Director! The Director is crafted by completely surronding a redstone repeater in smooth stone except for one empty space on one side, like a sideways-pants sorta way. This gives you 2 Directors! What do Directors do? Well when they recieve a direct redstone signal to one of their five input sides, they output that signal to a specific output side! They are place similarly to Pistons, in that their output is always facing the player when placed. They can even be placed in sequence! What is this block useful for? Well, many things:
So there's my idea for the Director, a revolutionary redstone component! Tell me what you think! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Feb 2020 10:23 PM PST So, I was music disc hunting and that made me come up with a few new ideas for them.
So this idea has to do with creepers killed by pillagers. This would drop a particular disc, In which you can hear a village being raided. Now, in my musician idea, it states that the musician villager Will trade any disc you'd like for a particularly good item. However, if you trade this special disc with the musician villager, it would run around and warn every other villager to get in their houses and hide. When all of the villagers are warned, a raid will start. The Iron golems in the village will stand in front of the houses and defend the villagers. In addition to this, the player will get the bad omen effect. Then, raid things will happen. Thanks for reading! Sorry it was such a long post, and even more so if you read my musician villager idea. Well, I'll stop talking, I'd love to see what everybody thinks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 12:48 PM PST ~Intro~ The Conductor's Staff is crafting with a note block or any music disc along with a stick. ~What It Does 1~ Using it on a Note Block will bring up an interface instead of playing a sound. The interface has all sounds a note block can make (including ones pertaining to blocks below). There are two options for each sound: Select and Play. Play makes the sound, but only for the player and not publicly. Select changes the Note Block to that sound. ~What It Does 2~ Using it in the air causes the player to wave it. This causes villagers within 9-15 blocks to come to the player. Villagers within 0-8 blocks to hum. ~How Humming Works~ Humming works as a sort of mix between the villager "herrrr" and the note block sound most recently played by the player. Villagers don't always him however. Note: for the segment below yes (hum) is first number and no (don't hum) is second number Player has 0 reputation/baby villagers at any reputation: 50/50 Player has +1 reputation: 75/25 chance Player has +2 to +4 reputation: 100/0 Player has +5 or above reputation: Villager will play full note instead of mix of villager sound and note Player has -1 reputation: 25/75 Player has -2 to -4 reputation: 0/100 Player has -5 or below reputation: Villager will make the villager-hurt noise instead of mix of villager sound and note. Piglins shouldn't attack you if you're wearing netherite armour. Posted: 21 Feb 2020 04:05 PM PST One of the significant characteristics of the new Piglin mob is that they don't attack you if you're wearing gold armour (or at least one piece), due to their love of gold. I suggest that this should carry over to netherite armour, since netherite is partly made of gold. I've seen a lot of people saying it isn't worthwhile to get netherite armour because it's only barely better than diamond and there's a long process to get it. But adding this feature would provide slightly more use to it. I don't believe it would be overpowered as it is only one small aspect of the game and it would take a long time to get the required materials, but I think it simply makes sense with the lore behind the piglins. And it even suggests a new layer of lore to the piglins: since gold isn't really visible in netherite armour, perhaps they smell the gold rather than simply looking for it. Perhaps if people do think this is overpowered, it could only come into effect if you have a full set of netherite armour, or otherwise just at least one piece, like gold armour. Let me know what you think. TL;DR look at the title [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 03:38 PM PST Mobs just sort of pop out of nothing, which can look silly or be unfair at times. I think that an animatios made by mobs when they spawn could made this aspect better, zombies and skeletons could crawl from the ground and endermen spawn from a particle cloud. I dont know what animations could creepers and spiders make. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 09:08 AM PST Lendermen, are like endermen, but you can have them "lend to you" lending works like, it's for a certain amount of time and if you break it (tools) you must pay the price (death) most lendermen lend for this amount of Minecraft days and the trades would be : wooden pickaxe = 3 days. stone sword = 4 days stone pickaxe = 1 day iron pickaxe = 2 days iron sword = 1 day diamond pickaxe = 7 days diamond sword = 3 days netherite pickaxe = 7 days bow = 1 day at the end it is taken away, also if you lose it you get killed some lendermen will have less days, some will have more, some will have a mix, the max days is 7 and the min is 1. And their would be a rare variation that sells enchanted ones, but it will never have more days, only at 3 min. And if you attack them they will wear armor and use a netherite sword, and they cannot stay in place for a loan time, they will kill you if you trap them at end of loan. At the end of 5 days they will drop all loans and die, and if they die by player only, they will drop a netherite sword and a diamond helmet. And before you die after attacking or breaking/losing loaned items, the lendermen teleports you to below bedrock [link] [comments] |
Spikes & surround I to II a shield enchantment Posted: 21 Feb 2020 06:03 AM PST These enchantments are made to make the shield have more defense capabilities in enchantments instead of just unbreaking and mending Spikes I to II- basically thorns but for spikes it has a 100% chance to deal damage but the amount of damage is random and is most likely to be higher when it's Spikes II Surround I to II-Makes the shield bigger and makes it so that you can defend more of yourself like your sides [link] [comments] |
Craft mossy cobblestone using kelp as an alternative to vines Posted: 20 Feb 2020 09:31 PM PST An alternate recipe for mossy cobblestone would be very nice as there is no realistic way to get a decent amount of it other than growing vines and using shears which is pretty hard to automate/get a lot of. Being able to use kelp as an alternative to vines would make getting vast quantities of mossy cobblestone actually possible and not tedious. I get that mossy cobblestone is meant to be harder to get, however something for those who build mega structures would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Beacons as a directional block Posted: 21 Feb 2020 12:51 PM PST Beacons can be placed upside down or on the side of blocks to have it dispense the laser down or in any direction. To make this easier and better, beacons facing down go to bedrock (through blocks). Beacons facing sideways go 50 blocks (through blocks). [link] [comments] |
Separate Fungal and Wart Blocks Posted: 21 Feb 2020 04:47 AM PST Currently if you grow a giant Crimson and Warped Fungi it spawns with Nether Wart Blocks. That doesn't really make sense, since the fungi are completely different to Nether Wart. Instead, they should use Crimson or Warped Fungal Blocks, similar to the Red and Brown Mushroom Blocks in the Overworld. These blocks should decay like leaves when the stem is removed, allowing players to farm their new wood with less inconvenience. Wart blocks should still spawn in small clusters on the floor. Players who want large quantities of wart blocks can still farm nether wart (and perhaps warped wart) in the usual way. [link] [comments] |
