    Sour Berries

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 05:20 AM PST

A form of the Sweet Berry but blue in color.

Has a rare chance to give you nausea and unluckiness for 5 seconds. (like 5%) or alternatively gives you Luck for 10 seconds. (also 5%) If neither effect is applied, it will act as a normal food item.

Sour Berry bushes commonly generate in all taiga variants (Taiga, Taiga Hills, and Taiga Mountains). In all snowy taiga variants (Snowy Taiga, Snowy Taiga Hills and Snowy Taiga Mountains) each chunk has 1⁄24 chance to generate sour berry bushes in patches. They also generate in all giant tree taiga variants.

Sour berries can be eaten as food items, filling 2-2.5 hunger points.

Master-level butcher villagers offer to buy 8 sour berries for an emerald. (Alternatively to the Sweet Berries 10 for 1 Emerald)

Placing sour berries into a composter has a 30% chance of raising the compost level by 1. (same as sweet)

Bees pollinate sour berry bushes, and then increase the honey level in beehives and bee nests by 1. (same as sweet)

Sour berries can be fed to foxes to breed them. The baby fox trusts the player and does not flee. (same as sweet)

In closing, the sour berry is a rarer form of the Sweet Berry, higher value, some perks and some potential mishaps...

Slimes should have knockback applied to their attacks

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 05:55 AM PST

    Funcionality

As the title imply's, this simple change would cause slimes to knockback targets when they attack them. This could make slimes less of a joke as well as some pontentially interesting contraptions.

    Side notes

The knockback is equivilent to knockback 2.

Tiny slimes can still use this to their advantage despite not doing any damage although it would only be as effective as knockback 1.

Slimes would bounce back when landing an attack.

    Basalt Bricks

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 11:47 AM PST

We all want, we all need it. A dark, black brick that seems menacing. Would be crafted as a normal brick would be. I really don't know why Mojang hasn't added this yet, it seems too perfect to not be in the game.

Name change for Zombie Villagers into Zombified Villagers.

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 01:47 PM PST

The recent snapshot had changed Zombie Pigmen's name into Zombified Piglin. To have consistency the developers should apply the same thing to Zombie Villagers.

Edit: Additional changing Zombie Horse's name into Zombified horse

When done with the credit/poem of the End, you should receive a book called End Poem

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 09:27 AM PST

It would just be to read it again and again. Maybe even a music disc of the song that plays during the poem? The song is called C418 Alpha volume beta by the way. Both would automatically be added to your inventory, or if there's no room, the next time there is when you leave the End.

I really like the end poem, and the ability to read it whenever I want would be a nice addition.

    New mob: Crabs

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 02:52 PM PST

Crabs are neutral mobs that spawn underwater, near water, and on beaches.

They mostly wander around aimlessly, but if you attack them, they'll pinch you, which does half a heart's worth of damage.

When killed, they drop crab meat, which can be eaten both raw or cooked, but can also be kept as pets provided you have water within 30 blocks of your house. They can be bred with raw fish.

I'd like to see more structures in the nether

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 07:31 AM PST

Dont get me wrong, this nether update is sick and it really adds life to the nether, but I still dont feel all that interested in exploring it all. I say we add some simple structures here and there. It can contain loot or it could just be similar to the desert well, for decor. Regardless, I feel as if more buildings besides the mother fortress would be pretty neat.

    Ideas:

Piglin Village: This would be a place with simple huts made out of wood and netherack. It might have a campfire or some shrubbery, but for the most part, it's where some piglins would live. Could contain loot.

Nether Moai: Simply decorative structure from societies long ago. Overgrown for sure. Some could be in ruins.

Busted/Broken Nether Portals: If you are like me, you lose your portal a lot. Why not have it so if you wander far enough, you could find another nether portal. I feel like it could spawn anywhere and depending on the condition, could be working or just busted.

    Feedback is appreciated.

World generation setting to make the bedrock smooth

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 02:17 PM PST

Just what the title says. An option to generate the bedrock level without the rough parts directly above it (like a superflat world). This would also affect both bedrock layers in the nether.

Upgradable iron armor like the diamond to netherite

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 03:31 AM PST

from the Minecraft 1.16 snapshot, we know that we can upgrade diamond armor and tools to a better version, the netherite, by combining it with 1 netherite ingot.

Then how about implementing that idea to iron gears too? Minecraft right now is too bland, first, you go iron, then go diamond, so let's spice it up a bit, remember the old Ruby texture? how about we can combine that iron gear with ruby, and not just that, how about we can upgrade iron gear to 2 different types of gear? or maybe more! a ruby gear and another maybe amethyst? both upgrades have similar stat but with slight difference like one having blast protection and the other projectile protection? or one has better armor stat but the other has better effect like you get speed or jump boost, etc.

For the netherite, how about diamond gears can also be upgraded to more than 1 type of gear, how about using a soul ore found in the soul sand valley, we can make soul gear or phantom gear for cooler name lmao, differences are maybe one are more of the nether warrior type, having fire and blast resistance, and the other is more of a tank, getting a better knockback resistance. maybe also an ore only found in the end, this way there's a lot more variety for the gears and we won't have everyone going around with the same blue armor with purple enchantment effects!

(the stats for the armor I wrote here isn't really balanced, I'm just giving an idea of how we can change Minecraft for the better)

ALSO, 1 more thing, how bout we can only do this on the smithing table? that way, we get a use for that thing!

P.S. I don't really know which flair to use for this sort of stuff, so I'm going for the general one, sorry if I misused it.

    Flower Pot Filling

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 12:45 PM PST

So basically, you know how when you craft and place a Flower Pot, you can just insert any plant there? That doesn't really make any sense, cuz there isn't really anything inside. What makes even less sense is that you insert any plant, like cacti and the nether fungus. But the actual plants have to be placed on specific blocks. So i'm introducing a new "mechanic" into the game.

    Flower Pot Filling

Basically, once you place a Flower Pot, you can't just insert any plant. You'll have to also insert a filling, like dirt! And then you can plant a plant. But some plants will need specific blocks to be able to be inserted.

    Cacti - Sand, Red Sand

    Mushrooms - Mycelium

    Nether Fungi, Roots - Nylium

Every other plant can be plant in dirt, off corse.

To keep the inserted filling, you have to shift break. The Flower Pot will look like this in the inventory:

    https://imgur.com/a/4OdV4SN

So yeah this is my idea, or something...

    Additional Fortune Tools

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 10:54 AM PST

Currently fortune can be used to obtain extra saplings, apples, seeds and crops but no tools are specifically for those.

I suggest that fortune can be put onto shears to get saplings and apples instead of leaves (or maybe in addition).

And it can be put onto hoes to get additional crops/seeds.

This is very easy to implement since fortune already gives saplings, apples, crops and seeds. The only thing that needs to be added is the shears' and hoes' enchantment compatibility.

Obviously the hoe one isn't that practical but fortune on shears is very useful to get apples to make golden apples to cure villagers.

Before you say you can just put fortune on other tools, have you tried to break leaves with other tools? It takes FOREVER. Fortune on hoes like I said isn't very practical but it has it's niche uses.

Moglen - The Warped Forest Hoglin

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 06:24 AM PST

In my opinion, warped forests need more animal life. I know that Mojang wants the warped forests to be peaceful, I considered that.

Supposedly, moglens' skin is just like hoglins', but blue (as you can see in this image). But, to make warped forests peaceful, they don't attack ANYONE and their drops are the same as hoglins.

To make them funnier, when hoglins and moglens encounter themselves, hoglins will start hunting them (and moglens will run off course). But moglens are INTELLIGENT! As soon they encounter, moglens will run to the closest warped fungi (when hoglins see warped fungi, they run).

This mob can be also useful because there isn't any food source in warped forests.

If you agree with me, vote this post on Minecraft Feedback: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360057946872-Moglen-The-Warped-Forest-Hoglin.

And here is the image: https://i.imgur.com/e6yvgJE.png.

    TL;DR

    1. Moglens are peaceful;
    2. Their skin is just hoglins', but blue;
    3. Their drops are the same as hoglins;
    4. When hoglins and moglens encounter themselves, hoglins will hunt them and moglens will run to the closest warped fungi (because when hoglins see warped fungi, they run);
    5. They are useful because there isn't any food source in warped forests.

    Shulker Shield

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 09:55 AM PST

Crafted with a U shape around a shield in the center, with an ender pearl on top.

You could move 10% faster with this shield raised than an ordinary shield, and it has 5 times the durability. It can also block shulker bullets without you being levitated. Of course it has to be raised for that.

When an enemy's melee attack is blocked with this shield, they have a 50% chance to be instantly turned around right or left by 20°, relative to where they're looking at. This can already be done easily with teleportation commands. It wouldn't take long to attack them again, it's just disorienting. Even with a console controller it wouldn't take long to recenter your view.

When an enemy's ranged attack is blocked, there's a 20% chance for them to be teleported upwards by 2 blocks, 85% of nothing happening, and a 5% chance of them being teleported 5 blocks under their current position. Most likely this would suffocate them if they aren't prepared.

    New biome: Chrystal forest

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 01:36 PM PST

Basically a large, hollow underground cave filled with pillars/stalagmites of obsidian, diamond blocks, red stone blocks, and maybe quartz blocks. Obviously extremely rare, but it would look sick, make mining more interesting, and add a helluva lot of room for new monsters and maybe a village.

New Form of Transport with a new ore!

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 01:22 PM PST

So we did had minecarts and boats for a longer while, maybe even fireproof boats in upcoming update, but i thought why not another!

We always wanted to travel faster, i mean the fastest way to travel in a 'vehicle' is by boat and ice, but what if we would made quite slower, but not so far away fron that!

Also a new ore for that would be required, it coule be called triantine, but you can suggest better ones in the comments ^

Firstly we will start with the new ore, what the heck is that?

It's an ore that can attract or repel items, depends if it's connected to redstone (and turned on) or not. It mostly affects iron, but very weakly affects other materials. The cool thing about that is you could make better hoppers, 1 level already takes items by blocks, but only 1 above them!

The ore would be pretty rare and you need to repeat hopper crafting but with a hopper on the middle and iron replaced by that ore. It can't be upgraded, but already it's a buff that hopper can take items by 1 block, but there is a hook here, it would be many times slower than hopper in minecart.

You won't be able to do anything not redstone (or quite decorate, cuz blocks) related, but there will be one 'but'. Triantine could be crafted into pickaxe which has lower durability than iron, but can mine every ore with higher reach of attracting item to yourself (meaning you will not always loose diamonds when you mine near lava)

The ore would be able to be find only in the overworld and to make ore you will need to smelt 'triantine pebble' firstly to get traintine shard and you need 9 shards to make an ignot, so obtaining it won't be so eazy.

The second part is about the transport connected to that block. If that block have repulsive properties we actually could make a better version of minecart using the triantine and a block of redstone to cover the whole cart.

It will go in the very direct line the trail of the blocks of iron go, because they require iron block to float

That will make traintine cart which will make you able to 'fly' and move pretty fast, it could also go on rails, cuz it's still cart, duh, but that could also give a better view without needing to lead for not to fall off.

I mean you don't see space under you when you're in the cart, so imagine how good looking the transportation would be.

That's all i had to say, have a good night/day and hope you will have some good ideas in the future ^

The Nether Tether: a new way to set your spawn in the nether using crying obsidian

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 04:07 PM PST

(I posted this on the suggestions site, go check it out! https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360057957832-Nether-Tether-a-way-to-set-your-spawn-in-the-nether-with-crying-obsidian)

    The Nether Tether

The nether tether would be a new structure that can be built in the nether, similar to the conduit and beacon. The nether tether would not only allow players to respawn in the nether, but also keep their xp as well.

How to Build the Nether Tether

The nether tether would be built with quartz and gold in 3 layers, with the first layer being built like this: https://imgur.com/VopVDAj

    The second: https://imgur.com/P0medow

the third would be one crying obsidian, set on top in the middle, making the entire structure look like this: https://imgur.com/RTH5EH1

The player can now use the tether by right clicking the crying obsidian, which will make an ominous sound effect play, and make the crying obsidian glow more intensely. the player has now set their spawn in the nether with the nether tether.

    What It Can Do

The nether tether will respawn the player back on top the tether with their xp intact. The last activated nether tether by the player would be the one that the player respawns at. After 3 uses, the crying obsidian on top will revert to regular obsidian. This is what the nether tether would look like after being deactivated: https://imgur.com/RTH5EH1

Why This Would be a Good Addition

As of snapshot 20W09A crying obsidian has no use, and there's no way to set your spawn in the nether. This would be a unique new way to set your spawn in the nether. The limited uses of the crying obsidian allows for the xp-keeping feature to be less overpowered, while also keeping crying obsidian a valuable block. It's interesting enough without being too overly complicated.

    Smoke Screen

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 02:53 AM PST

My idea is that when you right-click with a glass bottle to a campfire smoke, it will collect some of the smoke.

After you got the Smoke Bottle, you need to collect another two bottles and craft them together to create a Pressurized Smoke Bottle. Regular Smoke Bottles can't be thrown and are stackable up to 64, but Pressurized Smoke Bottles can be thrown and are non-stackable. The smoke screen lasts for 3 seconds.

When a Pressurized Smoke Bottle is thrown, it will create a 5x3x2 smoke screen on where the bottle landed. If you throw it towards the z-axis, it will be only two blocks wide on the x-axis, and vice versa. The game will determine where the 2-block wide smoke is if you throw it diagonally by observing whether your crosshair is closer to the z or x-axis.

All hostile mob detection will reset immediately if they're in front of the smoke screen. The smoke will also block the vision of a player standing in front if it.

If it's thrown next to a wall but not directly to it, the smoke blocked by the wall won't be generated even after you destroy the wall before the smoke disappears.

Edit: all entities can pass through the smoke screen.
