Wither Wasp [r/Minecraft post was removed] Posted: 27 Mar 2020 11:27 AM PDT The Nether is changing with every new snapshot, however the Soul Sand Valley hasn't gotten much attention other than the Soul Speed enchantment. So I am proposing a new mob for the valley, the Wither Wasp. I modeled and textured concepts here! Wither Wasp: The Wither Wasp would act almost like a more aggressive Bee, and can be charmed with a wither rose and normal fire/normal fire items. The Wither Wasp would be able to pollinate Wither Roses while turning other plants it tries to pollinate into Wither Roses. On attack, the Wither Wasp would give the withering effect by using its stinger. The wasp's wings would give off the soul particle effect. Wither Wasp Nest: The Wither Wasp carves its nests into Basalt formations. When the wasp returns to the nest after it has pollinated a Wither Rose, the honey level will increase by 1, just as with the bee nest. However, the max honey level for the Wither Wasp Nest is 7. When broken without silk touch, the nest will drop a block of basalt. Using shears on a full nest will yield Black Honeycomb which can then allow the crafting of the Wither Wasp Nest. Black Honey: Black Honey will be obtainable by using a bottle on a honey level 7 Wither Wasp Nest/Hive. The main functionality of Black Honey is to give withering capabilities to the player. For example, the Black Honey block would give withering to those who step on it. If a bottle of Black Honey is used with a weapon in the smithing table, the weapon will gain Withering. A new structure — the nether forge Posted: 27 Mar 2020 12:27 PM PDT Nether needs more structures. Lets face that. The nether forge is a small structure found in the nether wastes. It generates partly aboveground but has a cellar. The aboveground part is built from netherbricks and basalt and is quite small, but it has a ladder that leads to the cellar. The cellar is a bit bigger. It has three "furnaces" which are built from netherbrick and they have fire and magma blocks in them. The cellar has one loot chest that can contain: Quartz, gold, gold nuggets, iron nuggets, sticks and fire charges. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Mar 2020 01:26 PM PDT Light a Portal from inside the Nether using a Fire Charge. [link] [comments] |
Shear Striders to get String without killing them Posted: 27 Mar 2020 04:28 AM PDT I think that just makes sense, we can shear Sheep because their wool sticks out, and the Striders' strings of hair are pretty long and clearly stick out. Striders could then regenerate their hair by eating Warped Nylium, Roots or Sprouts. [link] [comments] |
Right-clicking with a hoe on sand makes Raked Sand Posted: 27 Mar 2020 09:57 AM PDT If you right-click with a hoe on sand, it could create raked sand, which would have a texture similar to farmland, but it would be sand. It would be a nice decorative block for builds like zen gardens and beaches. It would convert back to normal sand if water flowed or was placed over it, or if a player/mob jumped on it, similar to farmland. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Mar 2020 06:27 AM PDT We're getting several types of wood with all the new updates and even new wood blocks for the nether, I've read that these wood blocks don't burn but ladders will still burn since there's only one type of ladder, we need an iron ladder that won't go up in flames Even add a metalic sound for climbing it [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Mar 2020 06:49 AM PDT The arrows shot from a crossbow should 'fly' faster. It would make sense because they currently have longer range. And players should be able to put flame-type enchantment on a crossbow [link] [comments] |
Ain't nothin' gonna break-a my stride! Posted: 27 Mar 2020 07:07 AM PDT |
Posted: 27 Mar 2020 04:44 PM PDT Burnt log is a new block that generates near lava. They should look like burnt fallen trees. When broken, they drop 2-3 charcoals. They should generate somewhat often to make coal more common in the nether. After the addition of forests, it makes sense to have some burnt logs. [link] [comments] |
Make abandoned villages the old villages Posted: 27 Mar 2020 03:01 PM PDT I would like to see them do this to abandoned villages showing how they abandoned their old villages for these new and better ones. [link] [comments] |
New [Mobs] suggestion for Soul Valleys: Ghosts and Polterghives Posted: 27 Mar 2020 04:21 AM PDT I'll be honest, I really don't like the idea of skeletons crowding the Nether, I really hoped the new Soul Valleys would get an appropriate mob. So I concieved the Ghost, or Spirit. Ghosts would spawn in Soul Valleys, or in the overworld at night, but only with direct access to the sky in dark wood forests and in Woodland Mansions. (light level 3 or lower) Ghosts are Creeper-sized mobs that emit a light level of 3 and travel the same speed as players do on soul sand unless they are on soul terrain, or soul sand, where they travel at Creeper speed. Ghosts ignore the player unless the player carries a soul lantern, in which case, they will swarm the player and, on touch, will "possess him", granting invisibility, slowness, and very higher jumps ("lightness?") for a duration proportional to the number of ghosts. Ghosts can only be hit by Smite-enchanted swords and Spectral Arrows, disappearing instantly and dropping Ectoplasm (used to craft a (Slowness+Lightness) Ghost potion). They also have a 1% chance of dropping Meanwhile, Polterghives spawn under the same conditions as Ghosts, but are much rarer (1 swarm every 5 ghosts). They spawn in swarms of 4-5 Polterghives, one of which Bee-sized, the others baby bee sized. They move in swarms, floating around, with the same speed as bees, and emit a light level of 4. They will attack the player on sight, dealing 1/4 heart of magical damage. The only way to defend from them is to place a Soul Lantern. Soul Lanterns will attract Polterghives, which will then enter it (much like bees do with hives) and raise its "polterghives" level. When a Soul Lantern reaches level 20, it will gain the "Haunted/Congested" state, which will change its texture's blue parts to green and will prevent it from emitting light. Congested Lanterns can be broken (without Silk Touch) to get 5 Pyreflies. Pyreflies are very small, spherical, floating entities which can be placed in any air-block, and emit a light level of 6, 9, 12 or 15, depending on how many you place (similarly to sea pickles). They will "roam" the block the way you expect fireflies to do. How would these change and improve the game?
Edit: made a thread on the official feedback website. It's pending approval but it's here [link] [comments] |

The Smoulderfin - a new fish? Crustacean? Terrifying creature for the lava seas. Posted: 27 Mar 2020 06:14 AM PDT With the recent announcement of the strider, I thought it would an a good idea to finally post this idea that I've had for a while. This is the smoulderfin: https://imgur.com/gallery/tHQs7Om This mob would spawn in the form of a pufferfish like mob bobbing about in the lava seas near to the shore of the Nether. It looks kind of unpleasant, but not too intimidating, right. Suddenly it emerges from the lava, eight horrendous legs emerging from beneath it, and several spikes growing from its head. It runs at the player, headbutting them repeatedly to deal damage. Initially it's attacks set the player on fire, however, over time, it begins to run more slowly. It no longer sets the player on fire. It's legs are giving way. Eventually, it is forced to slowly retreat back into the lava to rest. Running away is a valid strategy here, but be careful! You never know when one of its friends will emerge from somewhere along the shoreline. So yeah! A pretty weird looking mob channeling some of the real world's worst ocean monsters (Japanese spider crab, anyone?) with a unique attacking mechanic. Please leave any ideas or suggestions in the comments! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Mar 2020 04:22 PM PDT I was just thinking- wouldn't it be interesting if we had cheese in Minecraft? I know what you're thinking, "but... why?" Well, the idea of sandwiches being added isn't an old one. You could use the cheese to make sandwiches, such as: 2 bread, 1 cheese, 1 steak. Stuff like that. You would craft cheese with 1 bucket of milk. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Mar 2020 01:52 PM PDT Enchant a book and then put the enchantment from the book onto an item using an anvil [link] [comments] |
Stonks! - a new achievement for trading with a villager from every profession till master level Posted: 27 Mar 2020 02:34 AM PDT Oops, I've put the whole thing in the title. Honestly, I don't even know what to put in the descriptions of achievement/advancement suggestions lol. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Mar 2020 07:37 AM PDT If you right click a Stryder with bonemeal its hair grows into a majestic crown (like a lion's). It renders un-rideable but you can shear it for Nether wool, which is just wool but it's a fire resistant variant. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Mar 2020 03:19 PM PDT Today, I was playing around with note blocks and it got me thinking: What if there was a "speaker block" that detected all nearby note blocks and played the audio from them at their location to eliminate volume issues associated with distance? Just a thought. [link] [comments] |
Add “warped piglins/withered piglins” to the FPS list Posted: 27 Mar 2020 11:56 AM PDT Piglins belong to crimson forests and the nether wastes. The other biomes need unique mobs. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Mar 2020 04:08 PM PDT Eventually they could stop interacting with you entirely and just give you the same head shake animation like an unemployed villager. [link] [comments] |
A gold crown on top of armor.... Posted: 27 Mar 2020 05:54 AM PDT Because of the new features regarding Hoglins & such, It seems only right that you can find armor randomly in the Nether through a new variant of Ancient Debris, but this Ancient Debris looks the same but had gold sticking out, when mined would give a Crown fragment & netherite scrap. The crown could be made the same way as a helmet, but when put on the helmet, It can be added & removed via smithing table. The crown could mean you could wear any fancy armor you want, and not get attacked by mutant pigs. Also, why not a gold crown. EDIT : I could not chose the "Blocks & Items" flair [link] [comments] |
Add hostle nether fish to make traveling over lava on striders more interesting Posted: 27 Mar 2020 01:11 AM PDT The nether fish could have a similar move ment patern to dolphines coming up from a distance and jumping out to attack the player. Design i think iy would be cool if they were designed to look like angler fish with to bio lomonecent light at the top the same colour as blue fire. The only part of the fish that can be seen through the lava when submerged is the light on its head. They could drop the blue bio luminesent light on there heed which when eaten by the player makes them glow making the player there own light source . as well as that random scraps of cooked fish and other thing but when they die the loot would fall in lava anyway unless the fish jumped out of lava to attack a player and couldnt make it back. The light does not get destroyed in lava. The fish should be quite rare so there not a constant threat and the come in varying sizes [link] [comments] |
More Rare and late game structures and mobs for experinced players To explore Posted: 27 Mar 2020 04:42 AM PDT Currently when you have full enchanted diamond Armor there isn't much of a challenge when it comes to combat. Also, there aren't many very rare structures that make you want to explore to find something new travel a few thousand block and you have pretty much seen everything. Ocean monuments and woodland mansions are good because they provide a challenge for experienced player and give a reason for exploration. The game needs more mobs that provide a challenge for skilled players that can be avoided by new ones and sought after by old ones. maybe add dangerous areas to the overworld rare variants of normal bios contains power and dangerous mobs. Add more structures above and below ground to be looked for and explored by experienced players to find a fight through. We need more moobs like trap horses and charged creeper as well, but I'll save that for a different suggestion. [link] [comments] |
