Zombies that are killed by falling sand turn into husks Posted: 31 Mar 2020 08:09 AM PDT There's no real way to convert a zombie into a husk. At most, you can convert a husk into a regular zombie, but if you can turn zombies into drowneds, why can't you turn zombies into husks? [link] [comments] |
Soul fire and soul torches should burn underwater. Posted: 30 Mar 2020 09:54 PM PDT Since these items are nether exclusive, they should have special traits to them. These little details would open many possibilities for underwater building. [link] [comments] |
Exclusive Music Disc in the Nether and End Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:11 AM PDT I propose that these discs can only be found very rarely in the chests of the Nether and End. I think the Nether's could be some some dark-sounding tune (almost sounding like Brinstar Depths music from Metroid) and the End should actually use Calm4.ogg (without M O J A N G S P E C I F I C A T I O N S) [link] [comments] |
Add smooth polished diorite, granite, and andesite. Posted: 31 Mar 2020 10:11 AM PDT It would look nice. Edit: basically what I want is for a new block that looks like polished andesite/ diorite/ granite but without the border between the blocks, similar to smooth quartz. [link] [comments] |
The Wither and Elder Guardian need some new additions/buffed Posted: 31 Mar 2020 12:33 PM PDT Unpopular opinion: The Wither is an absolute joke, all you have to do to defeat it is strip mine a tunnel, make space for the wither to spawn underground, and just hide in the tunnel while walking backwards shooting it and in 2 minutes it's dead, effortless, I've seen it in multiple videos and have done it myself with a shield, it's especially easy after you do it for the first time. The wither should do more damage, have better aim with its wither head projectiles, and break blocks easier and more smoothly to prevent you from just trapping it in the strip mine method I talked about, and for a boss, it's not even that hard to kill it above ground or somewhere similar when you can just shoot it off from a distance while it is distracted by the group of defenseless pigs 30 blocks away from where you spawned it, sure it's a hassle to defeat it but is it challenging, tough, hard, and difficult for a boss? No. The 3 Elder Guardians is difficult to even get to as it's guarded in a heavily fortified temple underwater with 50 guardians surrounding you ever 3 seconds, not complaining there, it's a cool way to shield a boss, however the payoff with a handful of sponge and 8 gold blocks has been ruined ever since 1.9 came out making crafting an Enchanted Golden Apple impossible. Obtaining gold has been getting easier and easier to do the past 4 updates, (I.E massive spawn rate of gold in Badlands and the gold ore in the 1.16 nether) making the gold treasure room basically useless to most players, I suggest replacing the gold with diamonds, emeralds, and have 3 treasure chests looted around the room with a chance of getting the turtle shell helmet or tridents, Heart of the Sea, and other moderately rare items, however 1 of the 3 Elder Guardians should spawn in the room to prevent get in-get out looting. The Ender Dragon, personally, needs new features and buffs and I think it is way too easy to kill, however I have been playing the game for 5+ years so maybe it is just easy for people who know what they are doing, so I will not include it in this suggestion post. Playing snowballs together with Villagers! Posted: 31 Mar 2020 01:17 PM PDT Throwing snowballs at Villagers in any biome should not aggro Iron Golems, although if you would do it far, FAR too much, you would start to lose reputation. If you are in a snowy biome, and the villager you are throwing a snowball at is a child or a nitwit, they should throw at you 1-3 snowballs in response. Oh, and all other villager children and nitwits nearby should also start throwing snowballs at you! [link] [comments] |
Tap the jump button twice to release the parrot sitting on your shoulder. Posted: 31 Mar 2020 09:26 AM PDT And tap it thrice to release both parrots if you have two of them on your shoulders. The right one will be released first if you have two of them and you only tap it twice. I'm too tired making sure that they don't fall off when walking down a mountain/hill. [link] [comments] |
Re-organize the creative inventory [see pictures] Posted: 31 Mar 2020 12:14 PM PDT I have felt that in a lot of places, the creative inventory makes little to no sense and it is very hard to find some blocks/items. Here are a few of my proposals https://imgur.com/a/It0NNk0 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:46 AM PDT Aquatic music should still continue to play when you're in an underwater base even if the player is not directly in water as long as it's exposed in some way, (not underground but on the sea floor) [link] [comments] |
"Sling" weapon which can launch potions farther Posted: 31 Mar 2020 02:32 PM PDT Crafted with five string and one leather like so: The sling is used much like the bow, but takes longer to charge up (2-3 seconds) and is capable of throwing splash and lingering potions much farther that normally (though not with the speed or distance of tipped arrows). You can also use it to hurl eggs, snowballs (dealing 1 damage), and interestingly, enderpearls. Perhaps slimeballs could be launched as well, harmlessly bouncing around off of blocks. Posted: 31 Mar 2020 01:24 PM PDT Two types of camps that I'd like to see implemented in the game for player convenience and a tad bit more realism. Logging Camps It's a few small log houses, Campfire in the middle, and 3-5 Villagers inside. Around the area there's a few cut down (or fallen down) trees. The Villagers wear Flannel (lumberjack) And found around the camp are log piles, with the logs representative of what biome their in. The villagers trade any type of wood planks in bulk, and wood logs not so in bulk. This helps with people who have rare favorite wood (as a dark oak lover I suffer a lot from this). Mining Camps A few small stone houses, with little piles of stone and coal found around it. These camps have a few rails and Minecarts with no real loot in them, and it doesn't lead into a mineshaft. You know your close when you see random Digs inside the mountain range your exploring. Villagers wear Mining Gear, or have soot one their face or a pickaxe placed somewhere on them. They trade Cobble in Bulk. They trade Coal in half bulk. They sometimes trade Iron Ore, Lapis, and Redstone in small amounts. This helps the grind of grabbing The previously mentioned Ores. Amethyst Forming in Natural Basalt Flows Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:36 AM PDT If the Minecraft developers want to add another ore in the new nether update, I would suggest Amethyst. Large deposits of Amethyst are found is basalt flows in South America, which fits perfectly with the basalt blocks being added in the 1.16 update. This ore would have the dark gray background color of basalt, with a vibrant purple color for the amethyst. They'd form naturally in the basalt pillars that hang from lava lakes, making them harder to get to, as well. There could be tools and armor, better than iron, and maybe on par with diamond armor. They could have the lava resistant feature as well, if the devs wanted. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 02:59 AM PDT the spotter is a block that looks like an observer with wide eyes and a smirk. you can right click the spotter to choose a block, one a block is chosen the spotter will emit a redstone signal whenever it sees the chosen block. this could be good simple sugar cane farms [link] [comments] |
Cartographer villagers should sell you maps to Desert Temples and Jungle Pyramids Posted: 31 Mar 2020 04:58 PM PDT Seeing how cartographers already sell you maps to the most valuable structures in the overworld, them selling you maps to some of the world's lesser structures isn't that far of a stretch. Knowing the location of these structures could help early-game players get a head start on their playthrough and for mid to late-game players, it could help them track down the two most sought-after biomes in the game. Gamerule to stop lightning strikes from starting fires Posted: 31 Mar 2020 04:22 AM PDT So a year ago I started a private server for family and friends, modeled on the Hermitcraft server. I decided not to disable firetick like they do, since I didn't see why it was necessary. Then lightning struck a very beautiful wooden shop which I had sold to my brother and destroyed a very good chunk of the roof. We had a brief conference and decided to toggle doFireTick to false. Fires in minecraft are harsh. They can't be effectively fought using water - it flows around the fire and tends to be slower than breaking every block individually. Often one face will still be lit but facing away from you so you can't see it. Basically, once a large enough portion of a build is on fire, there's no saving the thing. With that said, lightning fires directly inhibit creativity by making it impossible to build large wooden structures without running the risk of them being periodically obliterated at the whim of the RNG. There's no reason for them to exist; the brief excitement of seeing a lightning strike a tree in the distance and set it alight is shattered the first time you come home and find your entire house missing, with all the chests and furnaces floating alone in the air. Please add a gamemode called "lightningCausesFires" which controls - well, whether lightning causes fires. Victims of lightning strikes, share your stories in the comments. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 05:42 PM PDT Ok so pretty simple suggestion.. What if by combining flames in the same way you would saplings you could make bigger flames. You make a fire 2 by 2 on the ground. And add a fuel to it.. maybe blaze power or ghast tears... And like bonemeal it has a chance to grow the fire into a 2 x 2 fire entity that is 2 blocks tall. Atm this is me thinking from a it would look cool point of view... Any suggestions for uses or mechanics for it? [link] [comments] |
If magma is under a camp fire like hay it strengthens the fire Posted: 31 Mar 2020 05:30 PM PDT Features: -It would cook things twice as fast -Have a even longer smoke trail -Have a stronger light than torches [link] [comments] |
Warped and Crimson Nether Bricks Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:13 AM PDT This has probably already been posted here, but wouldn't it make sense if they added a way to make greenish blue bricks, Warped Nether Bricks, the same blue as the other Warped blocks. This could be similar to how you make Red Nether Bricks, which could be renamed to Crimson Nether Bricks, if they don't add a variant of the Nether Bricks with similar colors to the Crimson Planks(the purple-ish color, altough this would be similar to the already existing base Nether Bricks.) 'Tough I don't know how you'd make these Warped Nether Bricks 'cause there aint any blue "Warped" Netherwarts to dye them with. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 05:05 PM PDT Okay, hear me out. Mob spawning isn't particularly dramatic right now. Mobs spawn within sight but not near the player, and that doesn't need to be changed, but it doesn't look good. Giving each mob a spawning animation would be so cool. Undead could rise up from the ground, animals could appear in a burst of leaves, etc. It would also be cool for maps where mobs DO spawn near the player. [link] [comments] |
Anvils couldn't be used if there was a block on it. Posted: 31 Mar 2020 02:06 AM PDT How can you forge on an anvil if the surface is unusable ? It's like a chest that can't be opened if there's a block over it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 10:57 AM PDT This would be a section or menu in controls that would contain a few controls that few people would use, but would be very useful; for example, replace block, or collect all. They would be similar to CTRL being used to sprint, but used less often by casual players. Toggle cinematic camera and highlight players (spectators) could also be moved here. All controls in this category would not be bound to a key by default. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 04:27 PM PDT This is a pretty simple suggestion, baked apples should be a food. Right now there isn't much use of apples as a food source besides the very beginning, being able to cook them would make them more useful. You get a lot of them from trees, so they should have a use. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 03:36 PM PDT Tomatoes are pretty self explanatory, they would grow on what's known as a tomato vine, which would essentially just be vines but with red spots here and there as they progress through the growth stages. Tomatoes would be able to be sliced into 10 tomato slices in the crafting table(you can get a lot of slices from a tomato) and each tomato slice would give you 5 hunger (2.5 bars) and 1 saturation(2 saturation points). Simple, easy to remember, and probably not all too difficult to code. I see no downsides here as it is just another food source. Maybe could be used to make sandwiches? [link] [comments] |
2 Deadly Plants for the Jungle! Posted: 30 Mar 2020 11:56 PM PDT Ok, so these aren't actually mobs, just plants with reactive behaviour, like crops breaking when you walk on them. Both of these would spawn rather rarely in jungles. So, without further to do, Gobbler The Gobbler (https://ibb.co/5MRPS5S) is 2 blocks high, with an open jaw waiting for prey. It grows on the floor of jungles or against a tree. When a mob touches it, it lunges forwards, pulls a mob into its jaws, and slams them shut. After the mob is inside, the mob is slowly killed. If a player is caught, their hunger is drained until it reaches 0. But how do you escape it? Excellent question! It's actually rather simple. The Gobbler is disgusted by normal food, as it only eats second-hand. Simply dropping food items into the gut of the gobbler causes it to throw up, dumping you out. From the outside, a gobbler can be simply mined, with the fastest tool being a shear. Destroying a gobbler will reward you with gobbler seeds. These can be used to grow your very own gobblers! They can be planted on the ground or against a natural block like dirt or a log. The baby gobblers are less than a block big, and just look like pitcher plants. Once they mature, they grow into full gobblers. Perfect defence! Bursters Bursters (https://ibb.co/P5LX0Pw) are pods the size of cocoa beans. They look like normal cocoa beans from afar, but their middle section is taken up by a purple liquid. Once a player walks under one, the Burster falls, crashing into a cloud of poison. The poison can be extracted with a bottle, and once this occurs, it becomes a normal cocoa bean. You can also use a potion on a cocoa bean to turn it into a burster of any variety. If a burster is mined, they expel the poison and drop a cocoa bean. Anyway, that was my ideas for dangerous jungle plants. These would add a new challenge to jungles. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:41 AM PDT A new Wandering Trader type can be added called a Treasure Hunter. Treasure Hunters only trade valuable items like Diamonds, Emeralds, Nether Quartz, Heart of the Sea, Ender Pearls, and even (possibly) a Nether Star (they could buy it if they already beat the Wither or they could sell it for something) at very high prices. The Treasure Hunter would also trade in Pearls, which is another idea (already has a thread in other places). As the current Wandering Trader travels with Llamas by land, what if the Treasure Hunter traveled by boat with dolphins! Furthermore, I think that Treasure Hunters should spawn near Buried Treasure (similar to how Drowned spawn near whatever those things are called. Possible Trades: 1 Pearl (new item) for 4 Nether Quartz 16 Nether Quartz for 2 Pearls or 1 Heart of the Sea 16 Ender Pearls for 1 Diamond Shard (new item as Diamonds would be too much if a user had an Ender Pearl farm, and in case there isn't already a Diamond Shard thread it would be 9 shards to a diamond) Other high value items could also be sold. I can't think of any others at the moment, please suggest more in the comments! PS. I hope I put this in the right flair. [link] [comments] |
