Naturally spawning carrots and potatoes. Posted: 03 Apr 2020 08:58 AM PDT Honestly, it's so strange to me that you can, to my knowledge, only find them in villages and as rare drops, when they're plants and should be naturally growing. How did the villagers and zombies first get them if not by finding them somewhere? If it were up to me, I'd make them drop from grass occasionally, maybe tall grass. Just... somewhere where you can find them naturally instead of generated structures or rare drops. Edit: It's come to my attention that potatoes and carrots can't be found naturally because they're crossbred, which I suspected before but now know as a fact. I agree, then, that what's currently in the game is more realistic, but at the same time feel as if, from a gameplay perspective, they should naturally spawn in some manner, or at least be more common, just for convenience's sake. Plus, crossbreeding doesn't exist in the world of Minecraft, so there's another aspect to consider, though I'm fully aware that that the validity of that as an argument is entirely up for debate :P [link] [comments] |
There should be an achievement for building up to the build limit Posted: 03 Apr 2020 10:14 AM PDT There should be an achievement for building up to the build limit called "Great view from up here" or "Don't look down" [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Apr 2020 10:35 PM PDT Since there are sunken ships with maps hidden inside, I wondered if we could get bottles from fishing which contained a map to some buried treasure nearest to you. Maybe even craftable using your own maps? Although that's not necessarily useful. Edit: Even though they are renewable and AFK fishing is a thing (I do it myself), I consider how ships that are close to one another point to the same treasure. So collecting a message in a bottle for a given location would be relatively rare, but would also only lead you to the same treasure if you fished at the same spot. That way you'd only collect more by exploring and fishing in new places. [link] [comments] |
Netherferrite: a magnetic material! Posted: 03 Apr 2020 06:36 AM PDT Netherferrite would be crafted from two netherite scrap and two iron ingots. It would look like an iron ingot with blotches of netherite. The Lodestone, which is currently crafted using netherite, would instead use netherferrite (so it's not quite as hard to get). This makes more sense than the current recipe: gold is normally not magnetic, but iron is (there are alloys of iron that are extremely magnetic). I have two additional uses of netherferrite in mind, but more would be fine. 1: Blocks of netherferrite This is just a regular resource block that's also blast resistant. In addition, any lightning that strikes in a 32x32 area around it will instead be redirected to the block. This makes random-based lightning farms possible, though very expensive. 2: Inductor (a new redstone component) The inductor is crafted using one block of iron (in the center), three netherferrite ingots (in the bottom row), and one redstone dust (above the iron block). It has one "special side", like an observer, and can be placed in 6 orientations, pointing in the 6 different directions. Now, think about a ray shooting out from the special side. When the inductor receives a redstone signal, it causes all iron blocks within 15 blocks away, and on that ray to emit a redstone signal for 1 tick (like an observer). The signal is 15 for an iron block placed right against the inductor, and decreases by 1 for every block away from the special side, until 1 at 15 blocks away. (The inductor is also pushable by pistons) The inductor would make many different redstone contraptions possible, as it is a form of wireless redstone, though it's range is limited. I see it being particularly useful in redstone computers in conjunction with observers. For its power, it is limited by its cost. Ancient debris is difficult to farm, even for technical players. While a contraption using a few of these would be possible, something that uses thousands of inductors would not be possible to build. Finally, the inductor is not laggy. Since it only sends a signal in a 1-tick pulse, the game only has to do computations once, meaning it is far less laggier than redstone dust. Edit: formatting [link] [comments] |
Nether Ivory- dropped from Hoglins and Zoglins Posted: 03 Apr 2020 07:56 AM PDT Mojang loves wildlife preservation, so the idea of having elephant ivory in the game wouldn't be appropriate. However, the new hoglins and zoglins have large tusks. Mojang has stated that they want piglins and hoglins to be part of the nether's ecosystem, so why not add nether ivory as a drop for the hoglins and zoglins? Hoglins and Zoglins would drop 1-2 tusks when killed (without the looting enchantment), which can be crafted into 3 ivory. Ivory is a very decorative material IRL, so I think ivory should be craftable into blocks using 4 ivory in a 2x2 grid. These blocks would be used just like many of the stone blocks, as they could be crafted into stairs, slabs, walls, etc. Since ivory is a carvable material, there should be a few chiseled variants of the block to use for decoration as well. Ivory would also be a functional material. Since it is often used for handles IRL, ivory would be the perfect material for upgrading tool handles! By putting 2 ivory blocks in the same pattern as sticks are made, the player could craft an ivory tool handle. These would be combined with any sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, or hoe in a smithing table to increase the durability of that tool. It would also change the wooden handle texture of your tool to a cream-colored texture. Ivory is also used in many industrial components, so it could be used as a minor ingredient in redstone components, just like nether quartz. Let me know what you guys think. Vote for this on the feedback site! https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360060769752-Hoglin-Tusks-Ivory# Edit: Credit to Evan10100, the ivory handles could also increase the attack speed of the tool! Thanks for the suggestion! [link] [comments] |
When it is raining, Endermen will spawn more often in the Nether. Posted: 03 Apr 2020 01:54 PM PDT This would represent the fact that they get hurt by water, so they travel to the Nether so they can protect themselves. This can be good for early game when trying to farm for pearls to get to the end, and it isn't too OP in my opinion. With rain not happening too frequently, it would make sense. [link] [comments] |

You can put twisting vines in flower pots Posted: 03 Apr 2020 08:45 AM PDT This would be cool it wouldn't stack up it just would have a miniature sprite of it! [link] [comments] |
[Feedback link] Using Soul Sand instead of sand while crafting TNT creates "Soul TNT". Posted: 03 Apr 2020 02:39 AM PDT The original post which got pretty popular on this sub back in December. _______ Soul TNT only affects mobs and players in the same radius as TNT, without breaking blocks or altering the terrain in any way. Thought of this originally so that I can guard my chests without them being destroyed, though I think it would have SEVERAL more uses. Soul TNT also gives the slowness effect to players and mobs caught in the explosion, but who didn't die. In addition, it turns saplings into dead bushes. The appearance is different from regular TNT: It has a skull symbol / skeleton head on the side instead of the letters "TNT". Additionally, I also thought of adding a skull particle effect emanating from it and/or produced when it explodes. Other names I thought of are "Spirit TNT" or "Psyche TNT". Let me know if you have a better name, or you like either of these more! _______ _______ BONUS: How the block looks (from the side). This is my first serious attempt at modelling and texturing anything at all, so please don't be harsh lol, and I know that the label (with the sad attempt at drawing the skull) does not exactly look great. Thanks for reading! :) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 02:40 PM PDT I had this idea for a while now and just recently posted an image of it to r/Minecraft. Basically I was trying to make some cool carpet designs in my house and had the issue that the carpets are too big. This would basically work like the banner dying, where you can put different patterns on it, but instead it would be on a carpet. I think this would make the carpet a lot more useful and flexible to use. [link] [comments] |
Soul Fire Damages Fire-Resistant Mobs Posted: 03 Apr 2020 09:41 AM PDT Soul Fire is noticeably different from normal Fire. First off, it burns blue! It also does more damage than normal Fire and only burns on Soul Soil. But because Soul Fire is more dangerous, and possibly more supernatural by design, don't you think it might also be able to damage entities normally immune to Fire? Sure, their properties let them go through normal Fire unscathed, but this isn't normal Fire. It's Soul Fire! However, because these entities are immune to normal Fire, thus more resistant to Soul Fire, instead of doing 2 dps (that's one full heart per second) like it does to non-fire-resistant mobs, Soul Fire would inflict 1 dps (that's half a heart per second) just like normal Fire does for the non-resistant mobs. Posted: 03 Apr 2020 01:15 PM PDT Piglins don't feel like a society under siege. My idea to include my personality that really details the pressure they are under is: Infighting and Personalities. Piglins happen to have opinions of each other, which do nothing except influence which groups they tend to fight in. Piglin Personalities just create a sense of real community instead of bots. "Greedy" - This Piglin overcharges for barter. "Violent" - This Piglin shoves other Piglins from time to time. "Naive" - This Piglin undercharges for barter. This is a starting stage. After participating in a group attack, it will shift into another personality. "Lawful" - This Piglin despises bad Personalities, which is listed below. "Indulgent" - This Piglin will barter and exchange food items slightly more frequently. "Veteran" - This Piglin does not put up with any other personalities other than Lawful and Stern. "Stern" - This Piglin has stricter bartering prices, which do not change. The basic interaction system: "Greedy" - Exploits Naive type Piglins, forcing them to change personalities. Exploits Hungry type Piglins. "Exploiting" does nothing, but activates negative opinions on that Piglin from other Piglins. "Violent" - Violent Piglins will shove other Piglins from time to time. However, they don't shove Naive Piglins. "Naive" - No interactions. However, after any type of combat, will become Battle Scarred and change personalities into any other. "Lawful" - Acts as a very police-esque Piglin, shoving Violent and Greedy Piglins when they attempt to Shove or Exploit. "Indulgent" - They lower prices for one item if you hand them any food item that is not Pork chops. "Veteran" - They will have negative opinion of everyone other than Lawful and Stern Piglins. However, they have a Neutral opinion of Violent piglins. "Stern" - No interactions. [link] [comments] |
Zombified Piglins should ride Zoglins Posted: 03 Apr 2020 09:35 AM PDT I was thinking Zombified Piglins should occasionally be seen riding Zoglins in the Nether. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 04:44 PM PDT Yes I do realize this topic has been posted here before but honestly it got next to no attention due to the fact it was a low effort no detail post, I would like to change that. Iron Doors need more options, plain and simple. Mojang has added door types from every single wood type and even the new nether update gets new "wooden" doors, yet, Iron Doors are still the same bland thing it has always been. I personally believe this could be easily rectified by simply adding polished stones or woods to the recipe. The stone or wood could change up the color scheme to match each type and add accents on the hinges and window area to make the door stand out, allowing us to personalize our secured areas more to our liking. I would honestly prefer if the door texture changed entirely instead of remaining as a different colored oak door but I'll settle for whatever we can get at this point. This game has many bugs and those of us lucky enough to be on Bedrock knows we have bugs with zombies targeting wooden doors when no player or villager is behind said door. This forces me to use only Iron Doors on every single one of my builds and I am honestly over this lame, bland looking door. I want color, I want life. It is my hope that the new Crimson Fungi and Warped Fungi doors won't be targeted by Zombies or Pillagers but from everything I've seen in snapshot/beta videos I'm inclined to think they will behave exactly like wood doors, and that's a shame. Hopefully this suggestion gets some love, I honestly don't care if this post gets down voted into oblivion, I just want this topic to be talked about more frequently. Thanks for reading and I hope I was able to provide a well enough detailed post. [link] [comments] |
Give Lecterns a loot table tag Posted: 03 Apr 2020 08:15 AM PDT It'd be really useful to be able to spawn lecterns with random books, without having to use a function to populate them. [link] [comments] |
Unstable Fire Charge (Ghast Fire Ball) Posted: 03 Apr 2020 07:47 AM PDT The Unstable Fire Charge would be able to be shot by dispensers, but they will explode when they touch a block or a mob. It could be crafted with Ghast tears (since Ghasts' Fire Balls explode) [link] [comments] |
Put Sugar cane and Chorus fruit in flower pots Posted: 03 Apr 2020 07:24 AM PDT If bamboo can be in flower pots why not it's relative Sugar cane? And if those stalky plants can be in flower pots why not Chorus dunno I think these would be great editions to decoration [link] [comments] |
Minecraft Armor Potion Resistance And enhancements Posted: 03 Apr 2020 03:09 PM PDT Now with the new Crimson fungus and warped fungus i got the idea to rename The old nether wart to crimson wart and add the new Warped Wart, i know the last one has probably already have been suggested countless times but hear me out this is my take on it, dont ban me yet. We should be able to use them in a new special table or block to enhance or reduce certain potion effect using said potions with armor and weapons. Its quite simple, Crimson wart Reduces effects and warped wart enhances effects, warped wart should spawn randomly in soul sand valleys in small quantities. Using this brand new table we put a potion and a bunch of either wart and this new buff will come into effect. Warped wart if added into armor with a potion effect will enhance the effect you used. if equiped, each piece will buff time of the potion by 15 or 30 seconds and add 1 to the potency for each piece in case the player aquires said potion effect, if all the armor pieces share the same potion effect it will grant the player said effect as a low power passive effect similar to how beacons do. warped wart should grow slower than nether wart. if applied to a sword or a trident it will apply the effect to the target who was hit for 5 seconds or less Crimson wart on the other hand should reduce a potion's time and potency. These buffs are not compatible with enchantments, only curses. You are able to find pieces of armor with these effects on loot, most likely on nether fortresses and ocean ruins, can only spawn with curses in treasures and chests but you cant apply curses in anvils. when youre applying these buffs to an item it will take a while (like 30 seconds to 1 minute) to finish just like when youre brewing potions. if you try to apply an effect to an already enchanted piece of armor it will simply not work. Posted: 03 Apr 2020 07:16 AM PDT Since the Nether Update will be launched soon, why not suggesting a Nether block? The black Nether Bricks could be created by smelting Basalt instead of Netherrack. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 08:48 AM PDT I saw a suggestion where a user mentioned Nether brick flower pots so how about Purpur flower pots this would add lots of variety to decoration and I imagine would look real good with Alliums [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Apr 2020 11:09 PM PDT You ever accidently hit a villager, then hear those dreadful noises of metal moving behind you? BANG. you died. None of us like to accidentally anger an iron golem, so one idea, is that you could have the option called "apologize" to give a flower to a villager. If you give a flower to the villager you hit, then the iron golem will calm down, and the villager will regenerate life quicker. [link] [comments] |

Have an Overworld variant of Magma that doesn’t have the Netherack background Posted: 03 Apr 2020 07:25 AM PDT I was thinking about how that's kinda inconsistent it would go well with the underwater ruins and magma caverns a stone background would be much more fitting [link] [comments] |
