Posted: 29 Apr 2020 05:16 AM PDT Squids, when attacked, give you blindness if you are in the water with them. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 06:56 AM PDT I don't know if this was posted here before, but squids tend to kill themselves a lot. I think it would be good for them to program it to try to return to water if stuck on land, or they could make it just avoid land in general. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 10:08 AM PDT It's annoying to break a minecart and get separate items, as you have to go through the hassle of crafting it again. By using silk touch, you should be able to skip re-crafting it. [link] [comments] |
You should know when Phantoms spawn when you have a debuff called "Sleep Deprivation" Posted: 29 Apr 2020 12:25 PM PDT Similarly to the "Bad Omen" effect, you will receive a "Sleep Deprivation" effect when you have not slept for 3 days. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Apr 2020 10:37 PM PDT RiversNew Biomes Rivers - Same as the old one, but wider. They almost never are at sea level. Whitewater River - Same size as old rivers, but they start a few blocks above sea level and flow into the sea. Salmon spawn here and they are immune to the flowing water. Small rocks occasionally speak out of the water. The water is a creamy white/blue. Waterfalls - Waterfalls now are at least 10 blocks wide. They can either be small waterfalls, the ones you see in whitewater. Curved waterfalls, similar to Niagra. Or huge waterfalls, that go down mountains in straight lines. The mountain makes way for the waterfall, to simulate erosion. New Mobs Otter - Otters are rare tameable and function similar to piglins, they are defensive if untamed and will give you different blocks when given seagrass. Items such as: Stripped logs, logs, sand, dirt, fish, fishing rods, enchantment books and nautilus shells. Beaver - A mob that spawns in dams that block the river. Neutral, similar to wolves and zombified piglins. Leech - Rare mob that attaches on to you in water and poisons you until you are lose damage by any other thing. Also spawns in swamps. LakesChanges Tiny water holes no longer spawn, lakes get their own biome, lakes are 2x as deep, lakes are 4x as big and they are as common as dark forests. New Mobs Catfish - These spawn at the bottom of lakes and are poisonous, however, they are the best seafood in the game. A slightly weaker version of beef. [link] [comments] |
Iron Golems Built By Players Should Ignore Name Tagged Mobs Posted: 28 Apr 2020 04:03 PM PDT Typically, when you name tag a mob, it is because you want to keep it. I think that iron golems built by players should not try to kill them, recognizing that the player wants to keep it. Villager spawned golems are only neutral to the player, so they don't have any sort of allegeince to the player, and they would go ahead and attack anyway. [link] [comments] |
Vexes should be able to be bottled. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 12:41 PM PDT A relatively simple idea. Using a glass bottle and right clicking on a Vex allows you to bottle it (similar to right clicking a fish with a bucket), creating a new block: Bottled Vexes. This would pretty much just be a fun decorative block, semi-referencing the common fairy in a bottle trope. As such, it'd work more so as a sort of trophy from the woodland mansion (given that the one item that used to be exclusive to it, the Totem of Undying, is now available and renewable through Raids.) When placed, the Vex itself could be seen inside it, and would slightly move around like any mob would do when placed in an enclosed space. It'd work as a light source, giving off just a bit more light than a redstone torch. Mining the Bottled Vex with just your hand or a normal pickaxe would break it, releasing the Vex. This Vex would function as normal, and eventually despawn as all Vexes do. Vexes that are released cannot be captured again. You would have to mine the Bottled Vex with a Silk Touch pickaxe in order to pick it up again. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 05:21 AM PDT Probably has already been posted once but: **Savannah Biome/Plains Biome should to have cicada or locust sounds *Jungle Biomes should have bird sounds *Snowy plains (or any snowy biome) should have a "windy" noise **Forest Biomes should have bird noises and/or leaves rustling in the breeze I feel like if more noises are added it'll make the environment feel more alive [link] [comments] |
A way to teach new players how to be safe from piglin attacks Posted: 29 Apr 2020 08:27 AM PDT Players might not know that wearing gold armour stops piglins from attacking you. This could be taught to players by having skeletons spawn rarely with a 50% chance of wearing gold armour. The piglin would attack the skeletons not wearing gold, and leave the ones wearing gold. The player would see that wearing gold keeps the skeletons safe and would try wearing gold themselves to see if it kept them safe [link] [comments] |
Any mob that stares at an enderman should be attacked by said enderman. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 08:48 AM PDT Self-explanatory. I like the endermen the way they are now but it'll be better when any mob that stares at them would be attacked. I don't like the idea that I'm the only one not allowed to stare at them. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 10:31 AM PDT I feel we need this as this will change many builds and it is a very common item used for blood or other things of that manner. [link] [comments] |
Iron Golems built using a Jack-O-Lantern should be supercharged. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 06:00 AM PDT Since it already isn't the hardest thing in the world to get the Carved Pumpkin and slap a torch into it, I thought a slight upgrade/buff could be done to the iron golem if you were to build one using it... Buffed Stats: +25 hp, +1 attack damage, +1 damage resistance, +1 movement speed. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 06:21 AM PDT I love striders but they are not very useful. So I think they should be updated. I have three ideas. First, striders should be able to wear chests, like donkeys. Since there are tons of new ressources to gather and structures to loot, our inventory will be full quickly. So instead of travelling back to our base, we would just have to put the loot in our strider. Second, striders should be able to wear armors. It sounds crazy but if we look closer to their legs it looks like they wear an old armor. These armors would be found in Nether structures and they would replace horse armors in the nether. And third, there should be different species of striders. They would each spawn in a different biome and would have special habilities according to the biome where they spawn. stridersforever[link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 10:17 AM PDT Soul fire should be changed to seem more mystical and separate from normal fire. Currently, it's just a reskin of the normal fire with less lighting.

Posted: 29 Apr 2020 10:20 AM PDT No! This is not a reference to a movie! It means there's a random cabin in the taiga and jungle biomes, there it is made out of bricks and any wood types, with a chimney, furnace, crafting table, and a bed, as well as a chest with goodies. if you found a cabin you get the "Not the last one" achievement. What are your ideas? [link] [comments] |
Warped forests should have their own music. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 01:23 PM PDT It's odd that the Warped Forest is the only nether biome to not receive a new music track, and it can definitely benefit from having one, given that it's the most visually distinct biome in the Nether. As for what the track would sound like, it could be Chrysopoeia, except reversed, slowed down, and/or any other kind of distortion which would further drive home the idea that this biome is a distorted, warped version of a Crimson Forest. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 12:38 PM PDT Cave Drawings can randomly generate rarely anywhere underground, underwater, or in the nether. They are more common in underground, underwater, and nether structures. They are similar to paintings and depict crude stick drawings of stick figures doing things. They are transparent except for the drawings which appear as solid black. They can only be obtained in creative mode or using commands. Cave Drawings are meant to teach the player about the game. Cave Drawings:

Bonemeal spreads grass onto nearby dirt Posted: 28 Apr 2020 06:37 PM PDT When use bonemeal on a grass block, as well as growing flowers and grass nearby, the game will extend the grass to nearby dirt blocks. This means it's easy to spread grass across large structures, quickly run grass down a dirt path to get grass underground (if you don't have silktouch), or grassify just-placed dirt so that you can turn it into path dirt. It also allows you to grow grass at night, if for whatever reason you'd even want to do that. Edit: u/VoltMan261R suggests that this apply to mycelium as well. As bonemeal works on other fungi, this could totally be added as well. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Apr 2020 11:42 PM PDT Shields should get their own enchants, like Rebound, which'd have 3 levels. Level I bounces back a projectile with the same force as to when it hit the shield, Level II bounces back a projectile with the same force as when the projectile was shot, and Level III bounces back a projectile with a 5% more force then when the projectile was shot. Another one could be Trapeze, which is a single level enchantment, letting you move around quicker with the shield active. [link] [comments] |
Dogs lead you back home if you are lost Posted: 29 Apr 2020 01:44 PM PDT I've gotten lost so many times in minecraft with a good amount of loot and died. Compasses take you back to spawn but what if you spawn somewhere you don't want to live? I would personally like to see some mechanic to where you can make your dog take you home. [link] [comments] |
crafting chains makes more chains Posted: 28 Apr 2020 11:26 PM PDT Right now when you craft chains you only get 1 of them unlike iron bars which you get 16. I think the recipe should create 2 or 4 chains as it makes them more useable if you either are early game, or late game when you need a lot for a base but don't have an iron farm. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 01:00 PM PDT All I want is to have the beach biome, when next to a warm or cold ocean biome, match the color of the water in the ocean biome. No change in terrain generation or biome generation, just a simple change in water color. That's it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 12:15 PM PDT Cob is a combination of dirt and straw that has been used since the 13th Century. As a building material, it was very commonly used for walls and still is today. As a building block in Minecraft, this would offer more options to those building their first houses due to how inexpensive it is. Eight blocks would be crafted with eight Dirt around a Hay Bale. Dirt has never been so useful. The block may also be great for building Maghreb-styled builds such as Kasbahs. Edit: Four Dirt and Four Wheat may be a better recipe. Here are some examples of cob used in builds with my texture: (Maybe some minor adjustments would make it look less like wood, but the concept still applies.) If you agree with this suggestion, upvote it on the Feedback Site here: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360062018291-Cob-Images-Included- I spent a good deal of time attempting to perfect this texture and would, of course, love its official incorporation. I am hopeful that this suggestion is considered. Thank you! [link] [comments] |
