Ambient noises added in certain biomes to increase submersion Posted: 08 Jun 2020 10:01 AM PDT • Wind blowing different speeds depending on height • Wolves howling in certain forests • Branches snapping in forests • Mosquitoes in swamps [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2020 08:40 AM PDT I posted this on to Minecraft Feedback, But my post has been pending for over a week now, So I decided to post it here. Minecraft's moons are one color. My idea is that 3 new colors to be added. Red, yellow, and blue. Minecraft lacks random conditions/events and usually feels empty without them. The only ones in game are Rain/snow and thunderstorms.

Successful raids become illager bases Posted: 08 Jun 2020 11:18 AM PDT It would make sense that if a raid was successful, then the illagers would make that place their base and spawn more from that spot. Perhaps they would build ravager pens and a sort of mini-castle for the raid captain to live in. perhaps instead of building it, because that would feel very un-vanilla, it could just make a rumbling sound and the buildings would appear from the ground up. Or they just don't modify the village at all. If this feature is adopted, there should be an objective to gain the village back (such as killing a new pillager boss or just killing the raid captain). It would be cool if there were some villages that were like this when you spawned in, even with two villager prisoners so that if you freed it you could rebuild the village. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Jun 2020 08:14 PM PDT This could make the building process with slabs a lot more intuitive and less cumbersome. [link] [comments] |
Eating carrots should get rid of the blindness effect. Posted: 07 Jun 2020 05:00 PM PDT In a similar way to how milk gets rid of potion effects, carrots should do the same, but only for blindness. Edit: Please go vote for this idea on the feedback website so it has a better chance to be added into the game. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360068113192-Carrots-curing-Blindness [link] [comments] |
You should be able to write on a piece of paper, but it can only be two pages long! Posted: 08 Jun 2020 08:23 AM PDT This simple idea would bring convenience and it would add contribute to another idea in this subreddit, it is the Message in a bottle, I really loved that idea, as it brings so much more wonderful when fishing! What would contribute to the other idea is that you can put the piece of paper in the bottle! Anyhow, the reason why writing on a piece of paper would be only two pages long is that there are only two sides on a piece of paper, it would not make any sense if it were to be longer than that, and another reason is that it would stop you from using the book and quill since it is 50 pages long! Nevertheless, I hope you Redditors like this idea too! [link] [comments] |
Powered Dragon Heads scare off passive mobs Posted: 08 Jun 2020 04:05 AM PDT Title says it all, when an ender dragon head is powered it should send passive mobs running like a creeper from a cat. [link] [comments] |
Elder gaurdians should be resummonable. Posted: 08 Jun 2020 11:20 AM PDT They're a boss mob. All other boss mobs can be resummoned. Why not Elder Gaudians? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2020 07:13 AM PDT Being able to display some items differently in item frames. For example placing a salmon, displaying it as a trophy (taxidermy). Also displaying banner patterns as posters (or being able to craft them somehow, with a background colour for example) with the full block resolution (like maps). [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2020 07:59 AM PDT Forts are medium sized structure with walls, watchtowers, guards and a double chest of loot. They can spawn in all biomes on the surface even in the end (nether already has 2 fortresses so these forts don't spawn) and are made of blocks relating to the respective biome such as stone bricks and oak wood in the plains and smooth sand stone and chiseled sand stone in the deserts. They have 2 variants normal and ruined. Normal forts have Pillagers and vindicators in them but Ruined forts have zombies and skeletons in them. I think this would a nice little touch to the war-like side of Minecraft and would add a structure that has double chests with loot. [link] [comments] |
Blaze and magma cubes should have a unlit and a charged variation Posted: 08 Jun 2020 06:07 AM PDT As blazes are sonehow relatives of magma cubes(also made out of magma), and lava touches water and became stone, maybe making blazes and mamga cubes became "rocky" when contacted with water, ice, snow, fire resistance or snow golems. It will emit a white smoke, and when contacted with the snow golem, the snow golem will evaporate. When the blaze is unlit, it will not emit smoke and it will shoot small rocks and will deal 1 heart of damage. The magma cube on the other hand it will roll around toward its target and will deal 4 hearts of damage. When they are unlit, theu will seek for the closest fire, campfire, blaze, magma cube, or lava, and will ask a blaze, magma cube or ghast to make them burn again. When a magma cube or blaze get shot by a ghast, it will convert into a charged one like a creeper. The charged variation will deal twice the damage, and will burn twice as long, and will have another extra half of the health, the blaze will also have twice the reload speed. A ghast will have a chance of shooting one when idle, and it will most likely do it when the player is far away [link] [comments] |
Add Corpse flowers to the Soul Sand Valley Posted: 08 Jun 2020 01:26 PM PDT There are a few different species of plants referred to as corpse flowers, but what they all have in common is that they are big and stinky. They could provide that little bit more hazard to the player by forcing the player to hold their breath when around these large full block sized flowers. (This area of effect is just as easy to program as the beacon or conduit.) They have a not so rare chance to generate on top of Soul Soil. When the player destroys one (quickest with an axe) it drops a large amount of Rotten Flesh. But at least now you can breathe easier. these corpse flowers would also fit in many over world biomes, maybe even upping the spawn rates for zombies or just attracting them to itself. please vote for this suggestion on the minecraft feedback website! Patchwork beds made from multiple kinds of wool Posted: 08 Jun 2020 12:15 PM PDT Back before coloured beds, getting a bed was slightly simpler because you could throw together any 3 bits of wool and get yourself a bed. Nowadays this isn't possible and you have to get 3 of the same. But what if you could create a bed with more than one kind of wool? My idea is a bed with one base colour and two large stitched on patches. The wool furthest to the left of the crafting grid makes up the base colour, the centre one makes up the largest patch and the wool closer to the right makes up the smaller patch. This would allow for beds to be more customisable, easier to make, and would allow for builders to create beds with a more rustic theme by putting together some darker colours. Any suggestions are welcome [link] [comments] |
Shearing chickens provides feathers Posted: 08 Jun 2020 12:03 PM PDT Just like shearing a beehive gives you honey and shearing a sheep gives you wool, you should be able to get feathers from chickens with shears. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2020 02:51 PM PDT Minecraft music. We all love it. They are all amazing masterpieces wether they are by C418 or Lena Raine. So why do we all have it off in our settings? It just doesn't fit with the situation often. Let's say your village is being raided, and you just died in lava, so your only weapons are your fists. It's very tense, and you're literally sweating in real life. And there's just this peaceful, calm music that does not fit the the situation whatsoever. A simple solution: take a tidbit of inspiration from Terraria. Biome/Event specific music. In a snowy biome, play icy, cold music. In a desert, play arabic/egyptian sounding desert music. In a raid, play tense battle music. And so on. There is already biome specific music in the nether, so it does seem like Mojang are headed in the right direction, but in case Mojang is already preparing to do this, here's an extra bit: There should be an item that allows you to record the biome music so you can play it whenever. Wanna use desert music for your Pyramid, but you built it in a plains biome? No problem, just record a disc and play it in a jukebox. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2020 10:53 AM PDT these are semi-passive mobs that spawn solely on crying obsidian or are created when a wither skeletons steps on it. They have deep blue eyes with purple water flowing from them purple-ish grey bones and a tendency to make low pitch sad noises and will become nuetral if you are wearing or holding anything related to netherite and when you attack them they will start attacking you doing surprisingly high damage 4.5 hearts on easy 6.5 on normal and 8 on Hard and have 10 hearts of health upon death they drop 0-3 bones and 2-4 crying obsidian. There is no reason to add this just another use for crying obsidian also because i'm very sad right now. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2020 12:45 PM PDT Make nether fortress themed for every nether biome. In crimson forest, the nether forts should be made with red nether bricks; in soul sand valley and basalt deltas, they should be made of blackstone and basalt; in nether wastes they should be normal and in warped forest, you could add a new block, blue, very expensive made from ender pearls, and the nether fort should be made of that [link] [comments] |
New helpful passive mob: The Rosette! Posted: 08 Jun 2020 11:34 AM PDT Rosettes are passive mobs with 10 Hearts and would heal any non un-dead mob close by (this includes illagers, Slimes and other hostiles) for 2 hearts per heal are very curious and intelligent as they will follow players that haven't attacked them before for short periods of time and chose to heal passive or nuetral mobs over hostile ones. They would spawn in flower forests, sunflower plains, deserts, swamps and even the warped forest they would look similar to their surroundings and sometimes have special attributes for different biomes. Normal Rosettes (ones that spawn in flower forests and sunflower plains) have greenish pale skin with lots of vines, big white eyes and a large rose on their head (kind of like one of the campfire stories skins I cant remember the name of) and spawn a poppy or rose bush every 10 blocks they move. Cactus rosettes have thorns effect that does half a heart of damage anytime you hit them and they have light green skin, sand lines,Hollow Large eyes and a cactus flower on their noggin. Soggy Rosettes have Dark green skin with an abundance of vines dark blue eyes (not as big as the other rosettes) and a lily-pad flower on its head. They heal un-dead mobs as well (no they dont accidentally damage them nor are they evil) and make them nuetral towards players. Warped Fungettes (see what I did there?) have blueish pale skin,Big blue eyes, lots of twisting vines and A large Warped fungus growing on their head and chase hoglins sometimes for fun and are fireproof. A little lore behind Rosettes are they are living culminations of nature itself created to care for all and hurt none. Rosettes would be a nice addition to Minecraft and add a mob that directly tries to help you and a nice additions to swamps and warped forests. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2020 05:22 AM PDT I think it would be nice to roll over and make loopings with the elytra while pulling up and holding shift (looping) and hold A or D + Shift (to roll over) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2020 12:37 PM PDT A new type of ender chest that is made from crying obsidian. The difference with this ender chest, is that every player in multiplayer has the same inventory, if someone puts a item there, other player can pick it up. This would also mean that hoppers works with this ender chest, so in singleplayer you could transport items automaticly via this ender chest, and in multiplayer you could exchangue items with other players, and even stole the things two players are exchanging! Posted: 08 Jun 2020 12:27 PM PDT Make dispensers craft table with the bow recipe but with a dropper in the centre, so they can be crafted much easier [link] [comments] |
Make Dolphin's grace last longer. Posted: 08 Jun 2020 01:17 PM PDT I have recently been thinking about this and how it could be added. And I thought of either adding it a new enchantment or another effect on the turtle shell helmet. [link] [comments] |
Naming villager job blocks on an anvil prevents villagers from being able to claim the block. Posted: 07 Jun 2020 10:27 PM PDT Sometimes I want to use villager job blocks in my builds for aesthetic reasons but do not want my villagers to claim those blocks. It would be nice if you could change the block name via anvil and thus prevent a villager from recognizing that as a job block. [link] [comments] |
Villager food changes (+ a unique use for the barrel. Posted: 08 Jun 2020 10:16 AM PDT Villagers, the civilization of minecraft, dont really seem like sapient people at all rn. Let me explain why. The villagers can be fed a few carrots, put in a chamber with some beds, and theyll breed. You can force them into a tiny chamber and theyll trade with you for the rest of their lives. Villagers would need a steady food supply to breed and trade, not only a few carrots. They will also need food to work (and refresh their trades). They will take food from all sources, but a few food sources will be very effective, like cakes, pumpkin pies, and grilled meat. If you fill a barrel with food and open it with shift-rightclick, villagers wil take out the food, enabling you to build villager farms, but with a little more effort. Why implement this? The reason is in the introduction. Make villagers actually behave like living things. [link] [comments] |
