Giving baby villagers sweet things will make them give you small discounts when they’re adults.

If you give baby villagers berries, cookies, cake, watermelons, apples or pumpkin pie, they'll give you small discount for treating them.

Saving a village from a raid 5 times will cause villagers to begin a festival celebrating you.

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 12:49 AM PDT

The festival will last 2-4 in game days and during adult villager trades will be unlimited and cheaper than what hero of the village does and baby villagers will be seen chasing each other and bringing the player small gifts such as flowers or cookies.

Edit: a lot of people are saying this needs a cool down before it can happen again, and I absolutely agree. There will be a 30 in game day cool down. Also some say that unlimited trades is extremely op for something like this so instead the day before the festival starts all adult villagers will be working to stock up for the festival. This will make it so villagers have 50% more stock than normal.

This one is idea that I had after making the post: the villagers will be playing certain, more up beat music discs during the festival and sometimes you will see villagers of any age dancing to the music.

If you have had 5 festivals with the same village you permanently get the hero of the village effect while near/in the village

Tweaking the way Piglin Bastion raiding works.

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 12:19 PM PDT

Please read this post on it's entirety before commenting or voting. Thank you.

    » Introduction

Bastions are cool. The way you loot them is cool as well, as long as you're using gold armor, the Piglins are cool with you, unless you break their gold blocks, or start stealing the stuff from their chests.

On a recent pre-release, a change was made so the Piglins can actually hear when you steal their stuff, which means you can't just put a wall/encase yourself inside their loot to steal it anymore, which I think it's an amazing addition! Makes raiding those structures way more fun and challenging.

    » The Problem

The problem is.. Hoppers. You just go there, break a block underneath the chest, steal everything with a Piglin literally looking at you just like: "Yeah cool".

It's really awkward and makes no sense.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Oohhh but there isn't a reliable source of iron and/or redstone in the Nether, the Piglins don't understand it, they're not familiar with stuff from the overworld."

Alright, so, first of all, placing a threatening machine by your loot should probably trigger some kind of red flag.

And also, even if the Piglins don't understand redstone, do you really think that this technique is fun, or challenging?

Hoppers are not that hard to craft, you don't need that much iron to do so, it's pretty easy, and the worst part is that you only need one.

I just think that this mechanic with the hopper is so.. Unbalanced and unintended. But I know how to fix it, easily.

» How this could be fixed

First change: If you break the block that's under a chest, Piglins will get aggressive. That way, you won't even have proper time to place down the hopper and steal their loot. You can still do it, but you will have plenty of angry Piglins ready to take you down, so if you want that sweet sweet loot, grab your sword and go for it.

You might ask: "But the developers intended there to be some kind of "sneaky route" to steal their loot without them realizing/getting aggressive. How are we gonna do that if we remove the hopper feature?"

    Simple. Potions of invisibility.

If you have the invisibility effect, and you open a chest, the Piglins will make a "confused noise", but they won't aggro, at all. To make potions of invisibility you have to go to the nether first. And you need nether wart, which can only be found on Bastions and Nether Fortresses. This will probably incentive the player to explore the Nether a little more.

And it also makes a ton of sense. The Piglins will still see that their chest was opened and that their loot is being taken, but, they don't know who did it. And they're not smart enough to investigate the bubble particles.

There is a downside, though, you can't barter with the Piglins if you're invisible, if you throw a gold ingot at them, they will take it, but they won't give you something on exchange. They will simply assume that the ingot just came to be, take and put it into their collection.

Also, if you have the invisibility effect, it won't do anything if you're using armor, they can see the armor, so they know you're there and they know who opened the chest.

Hoes should give an increased chance of dropping seeds when breaking grass

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 10:50 AM PDT

title. it wouldn't change based on material, but just a flat ~10%-20% increase of seed drops from grass. this wouldn't affect crops

    Stripped cactus / aloe vera

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 05:18 AM PDT

A stripped cactus could be placed on the ground and right cklicked multiple times until there's no more (like cake). Each "slice" would regenerate one to half a heart instead of hunger. Texture and model concept here . This is very much incomplete so please give your improvements.

Enchanted Golden Carrots (please read full suggtion)

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 03:41 PM PDT

Enchanted Golden Carrots are an uncraftable treasure item that have an equally rare chance as enchanted golden apples to be found in dungeons and desert temples but have a slightly higher chance to be found in jungle temples.

Unlike enchanted golden apples it give you effects that help you run away from danger instead of protecting you ,and can be consumed only when you have at least some hunger just like regular food.

upon eating them it fills all of your hunger instead of giving you regeneration and gives you the following effects:

    • night vision for 5 minutes
    • jump boost for 2:30 minutes
    • speed II for 2 minutes
    • invisibility for 15 seconds

Should the effects be different? Should it be more rare/common? Should the effects duration be different? please give feedback .

Lower lily pads by a few pixels and allow block placement (like torches) on top of them

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 10:08 AM PDT

Lower lily pads a few pixels and allow block placement (like torches) on top of them. This would be simple enough to do, but would mean you can no longer place lily pads on waterlogged slabs/stairs. The lily pad would simply have a waterlogged state.

This is beneficial because it allows things like torch placement on top of lily pads, not only for decoration, but also for lighting. You can just use an upside down waterlogged slab, but it looks uglier.

    Shear able mossy cobble

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 06:01 AM PDT

It would be pretty nice if you could shear mossy cobble with shears (or probably a sword) to turn it back to regular cobble. Might help with people who just built some kind of ruined structure, and they still have some leftover mossy cobble.

Also it's completely pointless but here is a video showcasing me shearing mossy cobble

    The labyrinth stalker

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 02:46 PM PDT

    The labyrinth stalker

We've all had that moment when we where strip mining for resources when suddenly out of nowhere you heard a cave sound the just kind of made you feel uneasy for the rest of your mining trip. -but what if those noises actually came from somewhere- or thing? The stalker will only directly harm the player if attacked first, until then, this mob plays mental games with you... some examples being playing walking sounds behind you, lowering the pitch of the music and sounds around you, and in rare cases, blocking off entrances to other strip mines while your not looking. If directly looked at, the labyrinth stalker will run quickly around the nearest corner until if it is followed, gets cornered. -If this is the case, or the stalker has nowhere to run, it will stay completely still until attacked or looked away from, in which case it will disappear. If you do attack it, as long as you keep eye contact with it, it will not move. If you get to close it will do a good 3 points of damage with a fairly quick cool down, so you might want to keep your distance

    Ghasts explode when killed

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 09:10 AM PDT

Not only is it really cool if not for the ghasts huge size but it actually makes sense for the ghast since they're filled with explosives. Also I allwas saw the ghasts as the nethers version of the creeper.

Quietly replace chests randomly with trapped chest in desert temples

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 09:02 AM PDT

Can be a great idea to have a player to be cautios when opening loot. In fact, it would be great to replace chests in the existing structures aside from the desert temple.

Bees will fly around fast and in terror when they see TNT.

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 02:26 PM PDT

In real life, bees can detect bombs, so it would make sense for them to fly rapidly, maybe if there is TNT in a 15 block radius they will be scared. If you dont like the idea please explain why and dont be rude.

Ghasts should expand slightly before shooting a fireball

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 11:47 AM PDT

This was a feature that existed when Ghasts were first added to the game, however it did not work in multiplayer. The animation stopped working in 1.3, and the code was removed later in 1.8. Adding this animation back (with multiplayer support) would be a small detail but would make Ghasts shooting fireballs look a lot more cool.

Here's what the animation looked like prior to 1.3 (doesn't seem to work on mobile sorry)

    Beacons Should Offer Night Vision

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 01:49 AM PDT

Beacons should offer an night vision effect. When mining with a beacon, your inventory fills very quickly. So when you've got a lot of torches and potions of night vision in your inventory, it fills up at nearly twice the speed. That's why, I think beacons should offer regeneration or night vision at lvl5. combined with the haste 2 effect, mining with a beacon would be much more effecient and a beacon would certainly be a good thing to invest in.

Allow ladders/vines to be placed down from one block sort of like scaffolding

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 01:00 PM PDT

Maybe a better example would be like ropes in terraria, but you get my point. It is super annoying to have to install ladders and don't even get me started about vines (especially if I need them to be hanging down in the air). I suggest that right-clicking on any ladder/vine will place a ladder/vine at the top or bottom of a wall. Simple.

Ambient noises for the Overworld and End

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 10:21 AM PDT

In my opinion, the best part of the Nether update is not the new mobs or even the new biomes, it's the music and more specifically the ambient noises. The sound of netherrack tumbling down a slope, giant hyphae creaking in the thermals, or even the distant scream of an enderman all add a magic to the nether that nothing else in the update can. I would like to have ambient noises in the Overworld and the End too. I think that it would add a massive amount of depth and magic to the game, greatly enhancing what is already there.

It would be nice to have a "RedstoneTicksPerSeconds" gamerule.

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 07:41 AM PDT

It would be useful for redstone engineers so that they could see their contraptions in sort of slow motion, or fast forward.

Invisibility potions should prevent Piglins from detecting you and becoming hostile when opening a bastion chest.

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 12:16 PM PDT

This would give the invisibility potion much more utility, as well as rewarding careful planning when it comes to getting loot from a bastion.

    How to fix wandering traders

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 02:24 PM PDT

IMO the only way to fix wandering traders is to make them NOT drop leads and give them better trades, they could sell are things for a high price like pumpkin pie, quartz, prismarine, and maybe he could even rarely sell a lead or slimeballs.

The Pruner (a useful tool to stop plants from growing)

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 10:11 PM PDT

The Pruner is a decorating tool which prunes any growable plant from vines, kelp, to even saplings preventing them from growing. This can be useful for players who wish to micromanage their decorating.

Say a player doesn't want a birch sapling to grow because they like the look of a birch sapling. They can use the Pruner to stop it from growing. It will then remain as a sapling forever unless the player "re-prunes" it. Every time a player prunes a plant a sound will play resembling shears.

In order to craft a Pruner the player needs a shear and a stick. It's durability is 220.

    Sweet Berry Pie

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 02:37 PM PDT

I feel like sweet berries need more of a use than just eating them straight. So why not make them into a pie? It could heal the same or slightly less than a pumpkin pie, and could be crafted the same (with the berries replacing the pumpkin of course).

    /gamerule AFKkick/AFKtimer

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 01:43 PM PDT

A "/gamerule AFKkick [true/false]" command would allow you to enable or disable AFK kicking, which would kick someone out of a server for being inactive for a certain amount of time (meaning a player couldn't hog up a valuable spot in a server by having their account logged onto it).

If a "/gamerule AFKtimer [amount] were added alongside it, you could edit the timer of how long someone needs to be AFK before they're automatically kicked. I imagine the default timer ought to be 5-10 minutes, & you wouldn't be able to set the timer under a reasonable amount (perhaps 1 or 2 minutes)

While plugins exist on Java to do this, the command would be especially useful for Bedrock Edition, as we don't have access to plugins that already do this function like on Java. As a plus, it would be convenient to have the feature built-in to the game.
