Achievement Idea: You're Not Supposed To Be Here!

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 10:04 AM PDT

This achievement idea literally came to me in a dream of all places. Since they can't seem to keep minecraft players out of the top of the nether why not just add an achievement? Nothing changes, just when you glitch up there you get an achievement.

The original name for it I thought of somewhere... Else.... But that doesn't seem to make sense for the top of the nether.

Shields should be able to have the thorns enchantment

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 06:07 AM PDT

The thorns enchantment is not used very often as it takes up your armours durability and i think people will use it if you could put it on shields

i have an idea for a new advancement called "free the souls"

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 10:18 PM PDT

the advancement would be for walking on soul sand or soul soil with soul speed, because if you do that you're freeing some souls trapped in the soul sand/soil, and this advancement probably won't be a thing but i'm just gonna suggest it here

The Redeemed - A neutral illager variant that is against illager's actions. A new mean of defense for villages.

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 03:13 AM PDT

The Illagers are some kind of violent, greed and conquest driven civilization of a variant race of the villagers, but.. Should all of them be inherently evil? What if some illager doesn't want to take part into those kind of things?

    Here is The Redeemed!

    40 hp (♥️x20)

Basically would have the same skin as a pillager but with a white and turquoise blue coat with an iron shoulder protector and an iron arm protector (like the golden arm protector the Piglin brute has). Would have a chance to spawn with either an Iron Axe or a Crossbow.

Overall would be neutral and Will only attack you if you attack it first. You would be able to trade with him, he will not sell anything, but he would Buy iron, weapons and armor for some emeralds. If you trade him a weapon stronger than the one he spawned with, he will Switch to use the new one.

A village would have a 30%% chance of Spawning with one new Structure in the center, The Watch Tower, similar to the Pillager outpost but 5x5 blocks wide inside and about 16 blocks tall and made entirely of wood planks and logs, with a chest on the base containing arrows and some stone or even iron weapons, and a turquoise bed and a bell in the top. There the Redeemed would spawn.

Obviously, during raids, the Redeemed would fight and would repair golems if any. During day, it would patrol the village just like the golem does. During night, It would stay on top of the tower unless it spots a zombie and has a Crossbow, in which case, It would be shooting from above.

    Emerald Shard/Diamond Shard.

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 10:15 AM PDT

Much like nuggets for Ingots, one of them will get you nine of these and vice versa.

The Emerald shard is used in trading, it will allow you to get cheaper items or the same items in smaller quantities.

The Diamond Shard replaces the Diamond when crafting a jukebox.

(I don't think that you need a rock the size of your fist to play records)

Rename the Piglin Brute to "Thuglin" to better fit in with the "lin" naming theme.

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 05:11 PM PDT

As of the new nether update, multiple mobs were added such as the Piglin, Hoglin, and Zoglin(zombified hoglin)

It seems the same way villagers, illagers and pillagers share the "er" theme, the names of these piggish nether-dwellers all rhyme with "lin"

It makes sense that the Piglin Brute would have its own name like "thuglin" or something like it since both thug and brute mean an excessively violent and barbaric person or creature

Edit: So I understand that "thug" might not be the best choice for a word to pair with "lin". I am a person who likes when creatures or characters along a similar theme have similar naming styles. "Brutalin" is also a good choice.

    Simple and Fun Ocelot Improvements!

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 08:28 AM PDT

As we all know, Ocelots aren't very useful... but they don't have to be. Why not just make them a bit more alive and fun?

    AI Behaviour

    • Ocelots in real life are fantastic hunters and are really good at swimming, unlike other cats. Put two and two together and we can make them feel much more alive/dynamic.
    • Ocelots will now go hunting in packs of 1 - 3 for fish. This will happen twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Their swimming speed will be ~the same speed at which Steve can swim.

    Gifting

    • I'm not sure if Ocelots do this but some cats like collecting items like coins and other shiny stuff.
    • Similar to Piglin bartering, if you drop a fish for an Ocelot, they will give you one of the following items:

    - Shiny items (Iron nugget, gold nugget etc.)

    - Misc items (string, stick, bone meal, bone etc.)

    • Gifting will only work after you've gained their trust (feeding them first) and there will also be a cooldown after each gifting.

    Black Ocelot

    • For those who don't know, there is an armour piece called "Shadow walker" in Minecraft Dungeons with a description that indicates that it came from a Black Ocelot. So let's add them.
    • similar to Brown Pandas, they'll be a very rare mob only found in Jungles and can only be bred with another member of the same species.
    • As you'd imagine, they'd just be a dark/black version of the normal Ocelot with no difference in stats etc.

    What do you guys think?

"Mossy" Blackstone and End Stone Variants

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 06:51 AM PDT

I'm loving the nether update but can't help to notice that a couple of block variants are absent. Maybe instead of using regular vines, mossy blackstone could be crafted with either the twisting or weeping vines and mossy end stone could be crafted with chorus fruit.

Let me know what you guys think!

    Netherite pouch

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 02:01 PM PDT

Don't you hate it when you lose all your stuff and just see your netherite gear taunting you as the only survivor of a fiery death. Well fear no more with a netherite pouch crafted with one netherite ingot and three wool as it will give you four slots to put any items in. You might be wondering "how do I open it?" I can't answer that, I'm not that smart

A minor but very helpful piston addition

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 11:16 AM PDT

When a piston cannot extend (like if it's 13 blocks or obsidian) it will make a sound and let out a puff of the campfire smokestack particle that shows it cannot work. Maybe this could also be in a screen for the launcher when something went wrong with a broken piston.

Evokers should have a very rare chance at using their totems of undying when killed.

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 09:54 AM PDT

I honestly think that an interesting and very rare occurrence that can happen is the Evoker using its 'Totem of Undying' to save itself from death. This would be something that is not that likely to happen (also, the evoker using the totem, would make the totem not be dropped upon said evoker's death), however the Evokers do likely have those totems for a reason, it would make sense for them to at least sometimes use those items.

Note: (I know that this idea might have a few mixed reactions, the only reason I'm suggesting this is mostly because it'd make sense to have the evokers actually use their totems sometimes. Why else would they be holding on to them then? I honestly do think that this should only happen on rare occasions though, mostly because of what most players have to go through to get those totems however.)

    Heres an idea:

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 03:52 PM PDT

A sort of speaker block, which plays music that any jukebox is currently playing, so you can have the music playing in multiple places at once instead of having to stay around the jukebox for the music.

    Wither roses

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 02:35 AM PDT

I think that you should be able to place wither roses onto soul sand/soil because they come from the nether really because of the wither

If a piglin is killed by a supercharged creeper it drops a piglin head

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 11:34 AM PDT

Creepers, zombies, skeletons, and wither skeletons already do this. However, doing it with a piglin requires some extra work, so wearing a piglin head should act like gold armor.

Wearing a piglin head and full gold armor (minus the helmet) grants the advancement [A Foolproof Disguise] and allows the player to open chests without angering nearby piglins.

The Waven and Achilles boots (repost bc it died)

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 09:13 AM PDT

A boss called Waven, and Achilles Boots

    Name: Waven

Appearance: a goblin/troll creature 4 blocks tall with wings on its back.

    Drops: EXP, sky fragment (3-6)

Found: special structures in the wooden mountains biome (same rarity as a woodland mansion) it will be easy to miss as the top of it will only poke out of the top of the mountain leading you downward. You can locate the structure using a special compass crafted with a phantom membrane, so this is mid game

Achilles boots: crafted from 4 sky fragments in a boot shape, after the player has fallen from 6 blocks or more, the boots will grant slow falling for 10 seconds. This would have the same prot level as iron or diamond boots. (Similar to the turtle helmet)

Appearance (of the boots): white/grayish with little wings on the back

    Tool Pedestals

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 05:01 AM PDT

It has a solely decorational purpose. Just to add a bit more variety in displaying your tools and weapons. Sure, you have armor stands, but Pedestals would look cool too.

Piglins should pick up the meat and leather from hoglins they kill.

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 12:10 PM PDT

What's the point of having the piglins hunt and fight the hoglins, if they don't take what the hoglins drop? Also, if a player picks up the meat and / or leather, then the piglin would become aggressive towards the player, regardless of player wearing gold armor.

Was told to put this here. Possible uses for a fletching table.

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 03:47 PM PDT

Fletching table ideas (and data pack possibly?)

    1. You can combine arrows with potions/glow stone. You would just put in any amount of arrows (up to a stack) and combine them with a potion (any type not just lingering) or glow stone dust to get their respective arrow types.

    2. You can craft 1 stick into 1 arrow. Crafting arrows is a bit hard since you need to get flint. Now, you can craft them very fast.

Edit: I actually want some feedback on this. Is it too over powered? What would you change?

    1. Modified bows. As seen in mc dungeons, we would be able to get different types of bow. Eg long bow, short bow, hunting bow, etc. Each would have its perks. Short bow would have shorter range and less damage, but there is no charge time. Long bow would have a much larger range and more damage. Hunting bow would have your pets target the mob you hit (Meaning that they will switch targets immediately) +more damage. We would use the fletching table to make these.

Anyone think they could make a data pack for this?

    Buff Mushroom Spread

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 10:23 AM PDT

"Every game tick, a mushroom has a 1% chance of spreading to an adjacent block (even above and below diagonally) if there are fewer than five mushrooms of the same type in a 9×9×3 volume around the original mushroom."

I say we change that 1% to a 2.5% chance per game tick and we make the spread if there are fewer than 8

Polished Blackstone Pressure Plates only detect players

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 08:19 PM PDT

As you may or may not know, wooden pressure plates activate when any entity is on it, while stone pressure plates only activate with mobs or players.

I feel like that you should be able to have pressure plates that only activate when players stand on it.

This would be a great way to have automatic doors, while also making your base mob-proof.

So what do you think? Would this be a good feature, or would it be useless?
