Posted: 01 Aug 2020 03:07 AM PDT Since 1.14, villager trading has become actually useful. That means we should protect our villagers at all costs, right? If there is a raid, you rush into the illagers so that they don't slaugther your villager friends... right? But what if we could... My idea is that if, during a raid, you actually help the illagers destroy the village and kill all the villagers inside, you could get a new status effect for a certain time (similar to Bad Omen or Hero of the Village). While you have the effect, illagers and ravagers don't attack you and become passive, unless you hit them. Your new evil friends don't trade like their good counterparts, but you can barter with them using emeralds. You basically give them emeralds like you do with gold and piglins and they drop an item at you depending on the illager type: Pillagers: iron ingots/nuggets, crossbows, typical village stuff (crops, plants, poppies from killed golems, etc.), illager banners Vindicators: iron tools (randomly enchanted - same levels they could've spawned with), iron ingots, shields, saddles, dark oak wood (they have to do something with these axes lmao) Evokers: 'magic' stuff (ender pearls, lapis lazuli, maybe even undying totems - extremely rarely tho), books or bookshelves, paper, gold ingots, enchanted books (possible treasure enchantments except Soul Speed) Witches: all the casual brewing stuff (potion ingredients, bottles, brewing stands), sticks, cauldrons You can't obviously trade with ravagers, but since they become passive, you would actually be able to tame these beasts in a similar manner to a horse. Once tamed, a ravager won't attack you even if the effect wears off, and can be used as a slow, sturdy, destructive mount to help you destroy further villages! What do you guys think? Feel free to leave more suggestions in the comments. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:16 AM PDT I propose the ability to craft a single TNT into a stack of 3 or so dynamite. Dynamite would generate a smaller explosion, slightly below half the radius of tnt, however it would provide 100% block return. Therefore, you could use it to mine ore veins and such, without risk if losing items from the explosion. It would be placed like sea pickles. Maybe gaining the ability to stack it up to three in a small bundle. Edit: Before commenting that TNT already gives 100% block return, please note that currently i can only play bedrock cause my pc is broken, and it does not do so in bedrock. And also check the other 500 comments saying the EXACT SAME THING [link] [comments] |
Using a splash water bottle can put you out if you are on fire Posted: 01 Aug 2020 12:55 PM PDT I know that splash bottles put out fire but why not the player? This could be pretty useful in the nether too... [link] [comments] |
Add /undo to Vanilla Minecraft for fill commands Posted: 01 Aug 2020 05:23 AM PDT As we all know, world edit is a very practical mod when it comes to building, and we all often make big mistakes, accidentally destroy something with a wrong command, etc... Now, in vanilla Minecraft, you can't undo a /fill, or this type of commands. That means if you fail something (which can happen to any of us), you gotta rollback the world, or if you don't have backups you just lose a ton of stuff, and that sucks. So, if anyone at Mojang sees this somehow, please add a /undo to the game, it would be really great Thanks :D [link] [comments] |
Add a way to instamine in creative mode Posted: 01 Aug 2020 07:51 AM PDT Currently the speed at which you can break blocks in creative is fixed, and is a lot slower than instamining in survival mode. My suggestion is to implement a hotkey that while held (or used as a toggle, changeable via accessibility menu), allows you to instamine in creative. Or add an item only available in the creative inventory that allows you to do this. This would be greatly helpful in clearing large areas in situations where you don't have access to commands like /fill, such as most servers. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2020 12:39 PM PDT In Minecraft's endgame, the player must choose between the defense of a chestplate or using an elytra. I thought of the idea that the other armor slots could also be replaced in similar trade-offs. I don't know what they would do, so leave your suggestions! [link] [comments] |
When you place a soul campfire under a beehive/nest, bees should turn hostile. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 09:33 AM PDT Think about it, why would soul campfires smoke be made of the same stuff a normal campfires smoke? It also is literally burning souls, so why would that calm them down? [link] [comments] |
Piglins/hoglins should be afraid of nether portals Posted: 01 Aug 2020 04:14 AM PDT It turns them to zombies, of course they would be terrified [link] [comments] |
"Stretch" enchantment for pickaxes. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 06:43 AM PDT Basically, a "stretch" enchantment would be enchanted onto a pickaxe the same way as most enchantments. (i.e. Enchantment table or Anvil & Book) What it would do is allow you to reach blocks that you wouldn't normally be able to reach. The enchantment could have multiple levels, like others, and would be able to reach further depending on the level. I would find it really useful in a Redstone project because often there are tight gaps and not much space for the player. Maybe the stretch could even be a potion, and would just generally allow you to reach farther. If it was, then maybe it could use a spectral arrow even to make the potion. (give a little more use for them) Or maybe a sword enchantment variation. Of course, it's just an idea, and so names, strength, etc. are all variables that can be changed [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jul 2020 09:32 PM PDT Currently, the illusioner and zombie horse are unused mobs. Wandering trader and trader llamas turning into them respectively is my suggestion of implementing them. [link] [comments] |
Soul fire smoke plumes should have a stale blue smoke instead of the standard grey Posted: 01 Aug 2020 03:22 AM PDT normal fire releases normal grey smoke, so the soul fire should match that a smoke in the shade of the fire or perhaps a mix of grey and black [link] [comments] |
Make screen effects for certain biomes Posted: 01 Aug 2020 02:00 PM PDT Nothing too obtrusive, but if there were some effects on the screen I think it would improve the feel of the biomes. Most hot biomes (Desert, Mesa, Basalt Delta, Nether Wastes, maybe Warm Ocean, Jungle and Crimson Forest): Heat distortion, like in Terraria. It would be a distortion effect so it is effected by the distortion effects slider. Soulsand valley: occasional "souls" that fly across the screen. They would be very transparent and hard to spot. Warped forest: Small warping effects, like nausea and fov changes. They would be very slight and would be treated as distortion effects. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2020 06:53 AM PDT I wish that Minecraft would decrease the amount of particles when drinking an invisibility potion or remove the particles completely as the current amount of particles are a dead giveaway, even to people not paying attention to it, I was trying to stalk a cousin on Minecraft only for them to end up seeing me because of the particles, if the particles were decreased or lightly visible or something it would make the potion a lot more useful since countless times I've been spotted due to the obvious particles it gives off. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 03:10 PM PDT Possibly a minor feature to be added in 1.17, there are 2 types, Rhylium would be found in crimson forests by mining roots (same as mining grass for seeds in the overworld). You must grow it on crimson nylium (you can use a hoe on the new nether grasses, making it blue or red depending on the type). And when farmed would look like a berry. Warped crop coming soon [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2020 11:24 AM PDT I know its long since 1.14 but what about a counterpart to the travelling trader, the mercenary is an pillager like mob that rides a ravager, it sounds to hard to kill but the mercenary comes only after visiting a pillager outpost, when defeating the mercenary some emralds and a new item called "raid horn" would drop, the raid horn when used would tigger a mini raid to come to your posision. The horn could make a whole new world of possibilities for raid farming and when using it in the nether, a mini piglin raid would spawn, the piglin raid would mainly drop gold instead of other tools. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 03:08 PM PDT Let there be a single full durability trident in the middle of the gold cluster in ocean monuments, tridents are annoying to get and ocean monuments are close to useless right now [link] [comments] |
Infinite water buckets and lava buckets. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 12:13 PM PDT Seeing the infinity enchantment be applicable to water or lava buckets would be pretty useful. How many of us had to use water or lava to build something and had to keep refilling their buckets. To get the infinite water and lava buckets you need a pre-filled bucket (already filled with lava or water) and you need to combine it with the infinity book or enchant it with an enchantment table. This enchantment would not work for buckets filled with fish. (Maybe work with milk). Edit: i don't know if this should be marked as magic or utility but I think it applies to both [link] [comments] |
adding a new little fun achievement Posted: 31 Jul 2020 08:43 PM PDT (this is an idea from r/shittymcsuggestions that i thought was actually a pretty cool idea) flying an elytra to at least Y=500 and breaking it should unlock an achievement called "Houston We Have A Problem" [link] [comments] |
Lilypad-lights would be pretty awesome! Posted: 01 Aug 2020 07:13 AM PDT I have been thinking about this idea for a while now. Lilypads with lights on would be a really cool decoration and light source. I think of it as a lilypad with a flower on and then it lights up. It should be crafted with any flower above a lilypad. It could even be a red flower on the lilypad if it is crafted with a red flower. A blue flower if its crafted with a blue flower and so on. I hope it will be added because it is such a simple feature and it would be cool for small ponds and stuff👍😊🌸 [link] [comments] |
Nether Nitwits and their homes Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:23 AM PDT Nether nitwits: The nether nitwit is a nitwit that through some series of events ended up in the nether and is now wandering the nether with little hope of surviving. The nether nitwit would look like a nitwit wearing a piglin head and golden shoes/boots. The nether nitwit would barter emeralds for overworld materials (ex: logs, stone items that can't be made with black stone, coal, buckets, ect.), would be pretty rare, and killing them would give you a piglin head) They can be found wandering near bastions, warped forest and a new structure. The nether "farm": Nether nitwits would starve in the nether if they didn't have any crops (because there is no way they're going to fight a hoglin and survive) so how do nitwits grow food? they can't farm, can they? The nether farm is a new structure in the nether where nether nitwits can be found most commonly. The nether farm would have netherwart growing next to lava in a similar pattern to a village farm but slightly shorter (remember these guys aren't farmers so they're just doing what they've seen work for wheat) and a single house made of cobblestone oak logs random bits of crimson planks with a piece of crying obsidian in the corner (they don't know how to craft respawn anchors and are just guessing that's how they work. they also aren't builders so their houses wouldn't look that great.) I'm sorry for my English it's not my first language and Sorry if this break the no multiple suggestions rule (I just felt that they needed a place to live) I'll happily take it down and remove the structure idea if it does. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 01:46 PM PDT End City loot is supposed to be very very end game, probably the best loot you can find, which is why not adding Netherite into the loot table severely degrades that title. But, you probably aren't thinking, ancient debris is 'ancient', it might have not been around when whoever filled those chests were, but, there is an alternative. perhaps instead of Netherite itself you will be able to find Ancient Debris, whatever was put into that chest has degraded into ancient debris from what it was. This is a neat solution to the given problem [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:46 AM PDT The piglin tribes are the piglin version of villages. They have small houses, a hoglin farm and some neutral piglin brutes for a replacement to iron golems. The tribe village would spawn often in crimson forests but can spawn in the nether wastes and an abandoned version exists with twisted vines and warped coruption with zombiefied piglins.
