A mob that can’t detect players visually, only from noise Posted: 24 Aug 2020 09:20 PM PDT This has probably been suggested before, but I think it would be cool for there to be a mob that only triggers on to you from audible cues, so the player is forced to crouch walk near them to avoid detection. Posted: 25 Aug 2020 06:37 AM PDT Tame an animal on your first try It always feels great when you give a wolf the only bone you had in your inventory and he's instantly your pet, so why not make it an achievement? Or if you're not a dog person, a cat and a fish would work the same, and you'd still get the achievement [link] [comments] |
When you free a caged Iron Golem he should be passive to you Posted: 25 Aug 2020 11:01 AM PDT I'll raise you a situation: You go to a pillager outpost, you risk your life killing almost all pillagers, but you survive. More pillagers are coming and you could use a little help (you don't want to escape, you want bad omen and the loot from the outpost's chest). And it just happens that you spotted an Iron Golem trapped in a wooden cage, so you go there, you break the fences to set him free (so he'll help you kill the pillagers), and... you accidentally hit the Iron Golem, and he kills you right on the spot. Right after you set him free from the pillagers. I think when an Iron Golem is set free by a player, it should know. And it should treat that player like his creator (the Iron Golem will never hit attack the player, no matter what). (Same way Iron Golems know when someone lights up TNT inside a village. Posted: 25 Aug 2020 02:52 PM PDT A command that allows you to change biomes would be amazing to have for when your build requires a certain biome. I personally could use it because I use a superflat world on bedrock. I have no idea if this would be possible, but I would like to see it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Aug 2020 09:51 AM PDT I mean, we have multiple trees types and multiple flower types. So why not multi bushes ? Some can just be plain shrubs that you'd find and some would have more berrys, like black berry raspberry, blue berry and even strawberry bushes. [link] [comments] |
You should be able to farm flowers Posted: 25 Aug 2020 02:16 PM PDT So this is my first idea, you can still pick/place fully grown flowers. But you can use a crafting table to get their seeds. The flowers would function a lot like food crops, they start off as buried seeds, then they grow a slight stem, then they grow a bud and the they bloom. I'd like to see this because could help the player farm certain flower colors / flowers. It would also give the game a slight sense of realism [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Aug 2020 01:07 PM PDT Would be extremely helpful if you have a chicken farm or several pistons near you. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Aug 2020 11:30 PM PDT Like how podzol is found around giant spruce trees in mega taiga biome you can find naturally generated mycelium around naturally generated tall mushrooms in roofed forests(also swamps if you play bedrock edition) but unlike podzol you can't get more mycelium by growing mushrooms. Posted: 25 Aug 2020 01:54 PM PDT Before you say it's on Fps, I'm not talking about tamed wolves (dogs), but I'm talking about wild canines. Getting a dog is hard if you don't live in the right biome, so here's the solution. Jackals, that spawn in deserts. Coyotes, that spawn in badlands. Arctic wolves, that spawn in snowy biomes. And dingos, that spawn in plains. [link] [comments] |
Make every tool a viable weapon for the combat update Posted: 25 Aug 2020 12:49 PM PDT So, the combat update is on its' way, though it may take a long time yet. Originally, I was considering asking for lots of complex weapons, but I think this solution is more Minecraft-y. It's very simple: Every tool has combat applications. Everything from the humble shears and fishing rods, to the mighty shovel and pickaxe. Each has balanced attack damage and don't take extra damage from being used in a fight, plus maybe have some unique effects on combat like how the axe shuts down shields. For example, the shovel might have a stun ability where it has a chance to slow the enemy, while the pickaxe breaks armor and shield faster (because you're MINING the armor like you would mine ore. The fishing rod now pulls enemies at a much better rate and the shears can maybe be used to ignore a few armor points. I just think this would be a very Minecraft solution to combat. Minecraft is about doing what you want, so why limit players to a sword vs axe style combat? Let players handle combat how they want to play it, ANY way they want to play it! It would also present new challenges for dealing with combat, as now you have to figure out what the other player is going to use and decide how to counter them. [link] [comments] |
New Fishing Rod Enchant: Reeling Posted: 25 Aug 2020 11:10 AM PDT Combat in Minecraft is dictated by the defender of the fight. If the person being attacked chooses to flee, the only thing that the attacker can do is give chase, firing an arrow here and there in order to keep them on their toes. If only there was a way to bring an opponent directly to you with a well-placed ranged attack, shifting the pace of the fight in an interesting way... Oh wait! We have fishing rods... right? Not really. Fishing rods have their uses in combat, but they really fall short in comparison to other options. Dragging your opponent such a small distance isn't really worth putting away your bow for. Which is why I suggest the Reeling enchantment! Reeling is a somewhat rare enchantment for fishing rods that goes up to level 3. Every level of Reeling increases the pulling power of the rod while it is attached to a mob. I'd imagine that Reeling 1 pulls the opponent two or three blocks, 2 would pull four to five, and 3 would pull a solid 8 blocks. Now, melee attackers have a means to grapple their opponents from a distance, leveling the playing field against a range-based character. [link] [comments] |
Player-spawned Iron Golems should appear clean and shiny and not covered with vines. Posted: 24 Aug 2020 04:50 PM PDT They should appear shiny since it doesn't really make sense for them to spawn in already covered in overgrowth. With this, when you kill a clean Iron Golem, they no longer drop poppies. And maybe they can get a subtle speed boost to give the idea that the overgrowth slows them down slightly? Crops should grow without needing water when it's raining Posted: 25 Aug 2020 06:07 AM PDT it would work since, you know, it's water. also, crops grow a max of 4 blocks away from a block of water, so ice should also be able to grow crops, but only a max of 3 blocks away because of the ice layering. Posted: 25 Aug 2020 08:56 AM PDT It would be cool if comparators could play a note on a noteblock based off of the input signal it provides. Jukeboxes could also be set up so based on the input signal you jump to a certain point in the song. This comparator as an input device idea could also be expanded to something like light levels on a lamp, which I saw on here, or shooting an item out of a specific slot of a dispenser. Posted: 25 Aug 2020 07:46 AM PDT Have you ever felt like fighting hostile mobs at night is too easy? I've always felt like nighttime in Minecraft should feel like the player is being supplied with a constant wave of hostile mobs, but I often feel like I have to randomly run around to find hostile mobs to fight. Thanks to something I've noticed in how hostile mobs spawn, there's a somewhat easy way to avoid most hostile mobs altogether. As it currently stands, creepers, witches, skeletons, and spiders can all see you from up to 20 blocks away. (Endermen aren't going to attack you unless you look at them or attack first, so we're not going to worry about them.) The zombie is the only hostile mob with an increased follow range, being able to see the player from up to 40 blocks away. The problem, though, is that hostile mobs can't spawn within 24 blocks of a player, 4 more blocks than the traditional follow range. This means that at night, you're able to stand completely still and, with the exception of zombies (and phantoms if you haven't slept recently), hostile mobs will always spawn 4 blocks far enough away from you to not be able to see you. This is why it feels like you have to run around at night to encounter hostile mobs, instead of feeling a constant pressure to keep fighting. I'd reccomend increasing the follow range of creepers, spiders, skeletons, and witches to 28 blocks to cause nighttime to feel more suspenseful. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Aug 2020 06:03 AM PDT The feeder is an item that can hold any item, but it mainly only holds food. It can hold of to one stack of any block. The feeder becomes useful to feed animals like chickens, cows, and sheep. All of these animals come to the feeder and eat any food respectively they want(Cows eat wheat, Chickens eat seeds). Also, when they eat, they take more than one(Maybe 2-4) so it is not too overpowered. Items can be dispensed into the feeder with a dispenser. Thought this would be useful for the mid game. Thanks for reading, hope you have a great day. What are your thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Take less damage when you land on a player Posted: 25 Aug 2020 04:14 AM PDT When a player through another players hitbox the other player acts like a haybale and they are forced into the sneak position for different amounts of time depending on how far the other player fell, if fall damage for the falling player kills them the player they landed on takes damage as well [link] [comments] |
Honey version of a sticky pistons with Bedrock edition properties. Posted: 25 Aug 2020 01:52 AM PDT The crafting recipe would be the same but unlike sticky pistons 1 tick pulses wouldn't drop the block and wouldn't be quzzy powered. By doing this Bedrock edition could make their sticky pistons drop its block on 1 pulse and make them get quzzy powered. That way the 2 versions of Minecraft are closer together. I think it makes more sense to make honey the one without dropping it's block and quzzy mainly because honey is easier to get and thus easier to use. While sticky pistons are harder to get and tougher to use but are in most ways more versatile. Also it makes more sense for slimy piston to drop a block because it would be less sticky. Honey Pistons would be Sticky Pistons and Slime pistons would by Slimy Pistons. In the end bedrock and java get new utility without sacrificing anything. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Aug 2020 11:50 AM PDT I know what y'all are gonna say "we already have different color birds, the parrots in jungle" What i mean is we need MORE types of birds, I'd like to see crows, robins, magpies, owls, pigeons and all that, it would really add to the game and maybe there could be birds tweeting in the background when you walk through a forest. This could also make way to a nest block. A nest block you be the same shape as a slab, but with a hole in the middle, when you breed two birds, the female would fly to one close by, and this could lead to fried eggs in Minecraft as well. The eggs should act a lot like the turtle eggs, they are in the nest for and after a little while they hatch (Reason for edit, needed to be more clear about eggs and their function) [link] [comments] |
Allow us to put more small mobs in a boat Posted: 25 Aug 2020 02:16 PM PDT What I mean is, in vanilla, you can only put two mobs in a boat, I'm not saying make it larger for all mobs, but just smaller ones, for example, 10 silverfish could fit in one boat, 20 baby turtles, maybe 4 dogs or baby slimes in one. The player would always take up one half of the space though. This would make it so you could be in a boat, but you could also have up to five endermites along with you. I think this would be a real nice, little feature. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Aug 2020 09:47 AM PDT The dagger would be made with one stick and 1 material above it. The diamond dagger would do about 6 damage and could be swung fast (like 1.8 combat) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Aug 2020 03:38 PM PDT Nothing major, but I think it would be nice if Fireworks with different amounts of gunpowder were different colors. For instance red for 1 gunpowder, green for 2 gunpowder, and blue for 3 gunpowder. Most of the time I use 1 gunpowder fireworks for quick and easy flying, but sometimes I prefer to carry 3 gunpowder fireworks for long-distances since I don't have to carry as many fireworks. It's not really a necessity, but I find that it's too confusing to carry different strength rockets (for easy travel vs. longer travel) since it's more difficult to distinguish between them. If they were different colors it'd be much easier to select what you need. Just a nice quality of life change. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Aug 2020 12:45 PM PDT I think some new ambience mob would be nice, so one of my ideas is the bluebird. Bluebirds spawn in nests that are stuck to the side of trees, like cocoa beans. Also, a new item could be added, the worm. Worms occasionally are dropped when you break a block of dirt in the surface. These could be like fish before the aquatic update, an animal that isn't seen moving. Bluebird chicks would be different, with nearly no feathers, and adult bluebirds would be able to peck the ground, pick up worms and feed them to their children. They would drop feathers. Bluebirds could also spawn on nests on top of lamp posts in villages. (not sure if lamp posts still exist in villages though) [link] [comments] |
Allow "/data merge" to edit player data Posted: 25 Aug 2020 06:55 AM PDT This would be so useful, a bunch of things would become possible with this such as: giving the player motion, editing the hunger, changing the NBT of the item the player is holding and etc. [link] [comments] |
