Right now for our Minecraft group, we have 17 active players with an average of 5-7 players online at a time. We're really hoping to bump up the roster to around 60 active players now that we've sprung for some extra server capacity and hardware. Ever heard of The Lost Shard? It was a Minecraft server back around 2011, and it's back! (New and improved) If not, that's cool! The Last Shard is a server based loosely off of Ultima Online, with no need to install any client-side mods. Here's a brief summary of what it's all about :
Note that this server, unlike some servers out there, actually offers absolutely no in-game benefits for those who pay money. Items, abilities, skills, and such are only unlocked by playing the game. If you have heard of LostShard, you've probably heard of people trying to start it up, then giving up a couple of months later for one reason or another. That's why this server is called The Last Shard. As one of the original admins, and a person who played and loved Ultima Online, I've got a vision for the server that brings back the awesomeness of 2011, while also adding cool new things to keep it fresh. This is the only incarnation version that has all the old skills and spells, as well as a bunch of new things (With new stuff being added). Rules: (Click for detailed rules)
There's a lot to this server, so I've been adding a built-in tutorial using Minecraft's Achievements system. It's still being fleshed out, but you can get an idea of how to train up skills, etc. by pressing Admins:

We're happy to announce the opening of our new whitelist-only server and community: Campfire SMP! As we're a relatively new server, we're eagerly looking for players to join our passion project to assist with a few initial builds, the establishment of some public facilities for players to use (such as a library, shopping plots for players to build on) and to become apart of our growing community. We're primarily focused on inviting a more mature player-base at this stage, as we're mostly wanting like-minded folks to join. This isn't so much a restriction as it is a preference, as we don't want to discriminate based on age. All applications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and exceptions may be made (i.e. family joining with teenagers), or simply people just below the requested age.
