And this month the mods have picked a "most underrated post" for ya to check out! Sharks!, but not as Mojang imagine by u/DraKio-X And at the edge of the month there was this High Quality post which didn't have 200 upvotes when the TMS check was done but is still an August suggestion! The Ender Update by u/BassuTales A brief overview of what kinds of suggestions are in this TMS:
It seem like Mobs and Blocks & Items where the most popular this month just like last month. Sadly no Command posts this month.

FPS list
Finally, here's your monthly reminder to please read the FPS list before making an idea, just to be sure your idea isn't already on there. KEEP IT UP, FELLOW SUGGESTIONERS! <>If there was a suggestion that was missed, please let us know below. Despite our best efforts, we haven't yet reached infallible perfection just yet (we're still trying, impossible as it might be), so some mistakes are still within the realm of possibility.<>
And here are the 10 honorable ones:
<>All Monthly Suggestion Posts are cataloged on the subreddit's TMS Catalog Wikipage.<> Note: The comments are not for posing ideas unless they pertain to the feedback theme. If an idea crops up in a discussion, then that's fine, but for posting a suggestion for the community and the developers, that is what the "submit" button at the top right is for. Finally, you can see some suggestions that have actually been implemented on the Successful Suggestions Wikipage! Maybe one of these will make it on there someday! If you have a suggestion that actually has been implemented in some form or another, please let us know so that we can update the list. Thanks! Until next time folks, have a fantastic day/night, and take care! :D [link] [comments]
Paintings should cycle in a pattern Posted: 03 Sep 2020 04:20 AM PDT When placing paintings, they should cycle in a pattern instead of at random. This would make it far less annoying when looking for a spesific painting [link] [comments]
Ability to Instamine Wood With Haste II Beacon and Axe With Efficiency V Posted: 03 Sep 2020 02:26 AM PDT I'm surprised I couldn't find this anywhere already but we should be able to instamine wood with Haste II and efficiency V similar to how pickaxes can instamine stone. It should require a netherite axe instead of diamond as wood has a slightly higher hardness (2) than stone (1.5). It would be more of a QOL thing for late game players. I will post on the forum if this gets support. Edit: I found one post 6 years ago, but this should be brought up again due to the introduction of netherite Edit 2: it would only make sense for other blocks such as cobblestone (which also has a hardness of 2) to be instamined with a netherite pickaxe and haste II as well [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 11:03 AM PDT Wheat should be 1.5 blocks tall as well as drop 1-2 wheat items when fully grown. Aesthetically, having tall fields of wheat would be great. For such a tall crop in real life it's very short in the game. Practically, wheat is very inefficient. Considering that one bread costs three wheat to make, it pales in comparison to carrots, potatoes, melons, or even beetroots. This change would just make wheat farms a little nicer when not in bulk. Thorns armor makes you invulnerable to berry bushes Posted: 03 Sep 2020 10:59 AM PDT Simple as that. If Frost Walker can cure magma then I see no reason a good dose of thorn magic can't cure thorny plants. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 04:34 AM PDT Dragonbreath CampfireCrafting: Follows the same crafting outline as Campfire and Soul Campfire, but with... considerably rarer components.
Appearance: Appears similar to a Campfire or Soul Campfire, except the 'logs' look like crying obsidian, the fire is purple, and the smoke particles are instead dragon breath particles. Properties: Empty Bottles can be used on a Dragonbreath Campfire to obtain Dragon's Breath. The Dragonbreath Campfire can be broken at the same rate Crying Obsidian can be broken, and is immune to explosions like Crying Obsidian, but otherwise has the same properties as a Campfire when it comes to pistons, water, redstone, etc. Breaking the Dragonbreath Campfire through any means except Silk Touch drops the Dragon Egg only. The other components are lost. Silk Touch instead collects the intact Dragonbreath Campfire. DiscussionThis is a more convenient way to get enough Dragon's Breath to make ample Lingering Potions, in addition to being a cool decoration and an actual use for two mostly-unused items (Crying Obsidian and the Dragon Egg) to boot. The knee-jerk reaction will probably be that "Dragon's Breath is supposed to be hard to get!", but given that the Ender Dragon can be respawned with End Crystals (so you can just start the fight again), with Slow Falling plus good Armor you should be a-OK running around scooping it up off the ground, and you don't even technically need to beat the Dragon again to get back to the Overworld, I disagree that this is much more than a quality-of-life change. You still have to beat the Dragon the first time, collect the Dragon Egg (which is quite tricky to do in and of itself lol), and commit the relatively expensive resources (Blaze Rods are only on the middling side of rare, but Crying Obsidian is up there, and there is literally only one Dragon Egg per Survival world) to get your Dragonbreath Campfire. As a reward, you can have a source of Dragon's Breath in your Potions room. Compare this to the current method of stockpiling Dragon's Breath, which forces you to spawn the Ender Dragon all over again (locking you in the End) each time you want to restock. At first it can be hard, but do it enough times and it starts to become merely tedious in my honest opinion. Sometimes I even just use an Enderchest to hold the collected Dragon's Breath and jump into the Void to get back to the Overworld instead of bothering with finishing the Dragon off to get back the 'proper' way... What do you think? Thank you for your time and feedback! [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 12:00 PM PDT Spider Nests would be new structures similar to dungeons that can spawn underground. They have 3 differents variants: Underground Spider Nest, Above-Ground Spider Nest, and Cave Spider Nest. Spawning Underground Spider Nests would spawn somewhat uncommonly between Y 50 and Y 30. Above-Ground Spider Nests would spawn extremely rarely in Plains and Forest biomes, but have a slightly higher chance of spawning in Roofed Forest biomes. Cave Spider Nests would spawn rarely around Y 20 and have an increased chance to spawn below Roofed Forests and Swamps. Structure All variants of Spider Nests would have mostly the same structure but with some differences between them. All variants are roughly the same size as dungeons, made of cobblestone, stone, cobwebs, and mossy cobblestone with a patch of dirt and coarse dirt at the bottom, and all variants have a spider spawner. Underground Spider Nests have a regular spider spawner hanging from the top by a chain. Cave Spider Nest also have a spider spawner hanging by a chain at the top, but the spawner spawns cave spiders instead of regular spiders. Above-Ground Nests are open at the top and have a spawner on the floor. Above-Ground Nests also contain more dirt than Underground Nests. Loot All types of Spider Nests contain at least one chest. Above-Ground and Underground Nests both have loot similar to village chest loot. They are also guaranteed to contain string and rotten flesh. As Cave Spider Nests are more difficult, they have better loot. The loot of Cave Spider Nests is similar to dungeon loot but slightly better. They also have a small chance to contain two chests. So that pretty much wraps up my idea for Spider Nests. I think they would be a good addition because they add more variety to world generation and they add more places to get loot from. I would love to hear other people's ideas of what I could add to the suggestion, so if you have anything you think i should add, please tell me in the comments. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 01:48 PM PDT Item Type:Food Ftuffs Crafting:useing a sweet berry, sugar, and a pice of paper you would get three sweet berry candies, and like brown mooshrooms,by adding in different types of flowers will yeald different effects and appearance. Effects/Appearances: For the base candy it slowly heals half a hunger bar over time for 1 minute and a half or 1800 ticks,if huger bar is full will instead give saturation. Its apperance would be sweet berry red and translucent. Allium Flower:Gives fire fire resistance as long as the candy is active and would have red and orange swirl look. Blue Orcid/Dandelion:give saturation and hunger healing for as long as candy is active,if at full hunger gives double saturation,it's apperance would be dandelion yellow for the dandelion, and ordic blue for the blue orcid. If both flowers are used for the candy,it will fill a full hunger bar but give no saturation and it would a pair like a small emerald. Cornflower:Gives jumpboost one for as long candy ia active, its apperance would be opaque blue with a small rabbits foot on it. Lilly of the Valley:would constantly poison the player for as long as candy is active, its appearance would be that of a little white skull, but not like a skeleton skull. Oxeye Daisy:would give regeneration for as long as candy is active, and would appear as a little heart. Poppy:Would give night vision for as long as candy is active, and would be an opaque red with a small eye in the middle. Wither Rose:Would give the withering effect for as long as candy is active, and would apare like the lilly candies skull but black. Honey:will instantly cure any negative potion effect as long as candy is active:and would look like a small honeycomb. Chorus Fruit:will randomly teleport the player when active, and would look like a small enderman head. Stats: Stack Limit-64 Obtaining-village chests,By trading with a farmer villager, trading with a wandering trader, random loot chests, rarely dropped by witches but only the negative effects,(your idea here). Other Uses:By giving a baby villager a candy(the emerald shaped one being there favorite)you woukd get a trading discount from the villagers parent, and if you give a candy to a baby piglin(Aillum being there favorite)they would give a golden nugget in return, but if you give a negative effect to either, the villages iron golem will become hostile twords you,and if you give a negative effect to baby piglin, any near by piglins will become hostile twords you,(youe idea here, comment bellow) If you can think of any balancing ideas please also comment below. Lately I’ve seen posts about “better phantoms” posts, but... Posted: 03 Sep 2020 08:25 AM PDT I think they miss the point. I'll give some of my own ideas, of why the phantom failed, how it can be fixed an be a great mob, and why it needs to happen this way.also to the people that say it doesn't fit Minecraft and its not simple, it is actually pretty simple and easy to understand first up, insomniawhen we first got the idea for the phantom, it seemed unique. All the other ones were just, this is a mob and it does this, but they really talked about the phantom like it had some sort of mysterious effects that happen when you don't sleep. Ooh, insomnia, what does it do? Well it was just something that checks if you slept in the last hour, then sends out the mob. Insomnia doesn't live up to its name, it has potential. Like drowsiness, sickness and hallucinations could be awesome, and not hard to implement, so here's my idea:POV: you haven't slept in 4 days, building your castle. Out of nowhere, you see a phantom on your screen (Like the guardian jumpscare) and a screech similar to a ghast squeal. Text on your screen says: sleep!. You igone it, that day, a vignette appears on your screen, but it's barely noticeable, you get very light spurts of the nausea and slowness effects, but it doesn't take up your attention. the next day, the phantom screams again, and you get that wonderful face on your screen. The effects grow more noticeable. Next day, it gets quite annoying, and the vignette limits your vision. You can't sprint well, and you can now see hallucinations of phantoms floating in the sky. They look transparent. You still don't sleep and now 1-2 phantoms will swoop down to attack you that night, and you would really feel like you haven't slept in days. the next day, you get that scream you know too well, and phantoms will nonstop swoop you until you die. In chat, it reads "[player] can now sleep" did I mention on multiplayer, all this would only happen to you? yeah, the phantoms aren't even visible to sleeping players. more music that fits the tone could definitely help to set the mood. see how adding some things that wouldn't even be hard to code, would vastly improve what we call "insomnia"? u/Bloooouuuu also said Maybe the rate at which the insomnia effect comes in should vary depending on the difficulty. 4 days would be perfect for hard, but on normal it could be later, like 10 days and even later, or even not appear at all in easy. I definitely agree with you the mobok, this is where a lot of the hate lies. The mob has bad ai. it's attack should be more of a quick swoop down after making its screech, because right now, the phantom could attack you without you even knowing it's coming. but also the phantom just always gets stuck in trees and stuff too, so somehow that needs to be fixed. Also one big thing I want to say is that the phantoms look very ugly when they burn in sunlight. The least they could've done is rotate the fire texture to their body, but I think it would overall be better if they just turned more transparent as if the light weakens them, but doesn't kill them, Like I said earlier. Many players would just love it just if they got more time before they spawn, and so would I. It could also drop more phantom membranes than usual to allow you to still do stuff with them. When phantoms spawn I think they should not just fly randomly, but purposely circle you high up like birds u/CataclysmSolace told me this great idea as well, maybe when a phantom uses a special attack, phantom's bite. when it bites you, you will immediatly get nausea for a few seconds and your entire screen will get a purple tint. You have the effect: halucination . the phantoms and normal hostiles will leave you alone after bitten, but you are not safe. out of the ground mobs will rise up and have a weird look to them. zombies, creepers, and skeletons would have new Halucinagenic counterparts. They look darker with purple light coming from their face holes. They dont greif the world but still damage you and hit you with the effects, blindness, nausea, and slowness. my biggest thing is that lots of posts have tried to fix the phantom, but they strip the phantom of what it is, the monster of your nightmares that haunts you with insomnia. While in minecon, this is probably what we all imagined, but was not truly what we got. That doesn't mean that the phantoms cannot be fixed though.here are some new potion ideas I had involved with the phantom: First: the potion of heaviness. It drags you down quicker than normal when falling and makes you take more damage. To get it, you invert slow falling The next one: the insomniac's potion. This one could heal all insomnia effects for up to 5 days before the cycle of not sleeping again starts. i don't quite know how this could be crafted, maybe it's only some sort of trade with villagers The last one: insomnia in a bottle. When drunk, the user will be hit with insomnia, and all the effects that gradually come with it. This is the inverted version of my last idea [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 07:07 AM PDT Application: Enchantment only applicable to boots with a single level Function: It will mute the sound of footsteps when walking and reduce the range of vision of unsightly mobs. at least one block, once crouched it will give you 5 seconds to hide from the name tag Benefits: you will be able to dodge ostile mobs with the reduction of the mobs vision radius, and it will help the PVP so that they do not hear you walking. Add big flower pots for big flowers Posted: 03 Sep 2020 02:13 PM PDT It would look like the regular flower pot but bigger - maybe as big as a chest? It can be crafted with 7 bricks in a U-shape. Only big flowers like rose bush, lilac, peony and sunflowers can be placed in them. [link] [comments]

Piglin Brutes should have a small chance on dropping a gold block when killed Posted: 03 Sep 2020 08:01 AM PDT I feel Piglin Brutes should drop something when dead, they are too op and don't give useful rewards, maybe around 7% chance (with looting I 8.5%,II 10.5% and Looting III 12.4%) also if you're lucky he should drop 2 gold blocks,i'm really sorry for bad english i'm from Brazil. Posted: 03 Sep 2020 11:12 AM PDT Stalkers are monsters that mix the worst features of wolves and rabbits, with four long legs, large ears, and sharp fangs. Stalkers use their legs to leap from island to island. Occasionally Stalkers will travel across long stretches of barren islands to migrate to new areas. Sometimes they can be seen perching on Chorus plants. Stalkers are automatically hostile to players and screech loudly before pouncing. They are comparable to Vindicators in health and attack. The Overworld is a lush and diverse world, while the Nether is a treacherous but rewarding dystopia. So far the End is just a terrifying wasteland. This mob would add to that feel while expanding the new dimension. [link] [comments]
Have ore blocks drop ore items (iron and gold only) Posted: 03 Sep 2020 03:10 PM PDT This is a bump of another post made two years ago. Rename Then, introduce two new items: I drew some examples using coal ore as the base image. EDIT: Yes, this would allow the Fortune enchantment to work on gold and iron ore. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Sep 2020 10:14 PM PDT Killing the Ender Dragon for the first time in a world gives you plenty of rewards: Heaps of XP, A Dragon Egg, And easy access to the End Islands/End Cities, where you can get Elytras. But when you respawn the Dragon and slay it again, you don't get very much from it. I suggest that we add a new ore that only appears once you have killed the Dragon for a second time (or any time after the first). It would spawn in veins of up to 16, but would be rare to find. It would have a chance (about 20%) to spawn on the main end island, and a 5% chance to spawn on any other end island, however for every time you respawn the Dragon and kill more will spawn) It will only drop if broken with a Netherite Pickaxe, which will drop a 'Cracked Opal' (Unless the Pickaxe is enchanted with Silk Touch, which will just give you an Opal). To repair a cracked opal and turn it into an Opal you will need to combine it with an Anvil with a diamond. It will have a 50% chance to not work, which will give you the cracked Opal back, but not the Diamond. After obtaining an Opal all Wandering Traders will now trade you 64 Emeralds for it (Most people won't do the trade but if have Opals to burn you can get some easy emeralds) Opal's can be enchanted by putting them into an Enchanted Table and using lapis, which gives you an Enchanted Opal (Similar to an Enchanted Gapple) which you can use in an Anvil with any Enchanted Tool, Weapon or Armour Piece to max out it's enchantments (For example if you have Sharpness II on a sword it will give you Sharpness V). Putting 8 Enchanted Opal's around a Nether Star in a crafting bench will give you an Enchanted Nether Star, which you can make a Super Beacon with, which gives you Powers in Double the Radius, and halves your damage within the radius. What do you all think? Do you have any suggestions to add to this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 07:56 AM PDT This might not be a good suggestion but it will be a nice edit, all illagers must dance after a village is successfully raided just like piglins but a different dance and the bad omen will have a special dance. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 09:22 AM PDT The idea is that when a player plays "Pigstep" around a piglin, it will do their victory dance, sort of like how parrots dance to any music disc (Unless they are currently aggro-ing something, in which case they have more important things to do than jamming to music) I was personally a bit disappointed by how infrequent they do their victory dance in the wild. I have played in the nether ever since the 1.16 update was released and have yet to see them do this dance, despite having seen (and unfortunately been a victim of) many piglin hunts. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 12:04 PM PDT I know that the name doesn't make a lot of sense, but that's because I couldn't think of a better name for it. Basically it would be a small structure made out of nether brick, let's say, 6x6 with some minor detailing, but in the center, it would have one blaze spawner. These would be uncommon, but much easier to find than a nether fortress. This is mainly a fix for the ridiculous amount of time it can take to find a fortress in the nether update, helping not only speedrunners but also low skill players who struggle with nether fortresses. Sword Customization table. Add new handle or blade materials to make your sword feel more unique. Posted: 03 Sep 2020 10:29 AM PDT Sword Customization is to add just a little bit more depth to combat and make your sword feel more unique (this is inspired heavily from lightsaber customization in old star wars games) You craft it with a smithing table in the bottom middle, a crafting table in the very center, and an anvil on the left and right sides of the center, like so: nothing nothing nothinganvil craft table anvilnothing smith table nothingThe sword customization table allows you to place your weapon inside, and use a gem to give it a small buff and replace the handle material with an end rod, blaze rod, or you can keep it as a stick. Blade material simply colors the edge of the sword. You can only choose one upgrade for each sword, and your sword isn't going to be suddenly a god killing weapon, it's just to give some specialization opportunities for players. Materials:Iron - 15% more durability and damage to burning enemies Gold - 20% boost in the effectiveness of enchantments, but -20% durability Diamond - 1.5% chance to ignore armor and 15% chance to ignore shields. Netherite - increases knockback Emerald - 30% chance each hit to wipe all status effects from the target, for each effect cleared you heal 2 hearts. The reason for this is that emeralds are associated with healing. Damage to pets is also reduced by 75%. Decreases knockback. HandlesEnd rod: swing your sword 20% faster but deal 15% less damage and shields block you easier. Blaze rod: enemies are set on fire 30% longer, but -20% durability Stick: usual handle, no buffs or debuffs to the sword. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 02:12 PM PDT So my idea for a mod is that Steve's arm has fp arm animations such as swinging a pick', axe, shovel or sword. Placing down torches will have their own animations for placement and swinging. Placing blocks also have their own animations as well as "punching" and punching but will be different because you will be able to use both fists. Also when your tool breaks, there will be an animation for that as well and you will actually receive the handle of the tool that broke as a separate mod. This is the basic idea and when paired up with this old mod that gave players the ability to climb up walls w/o a ladder and crawl and dive I think adventuring in Minecraft would be a lot more fun and when shaders and texture packs are added (because java doesn't have rtx bc they suck), I think the game would feel like a horror adventure game. However, if this idea is to be added to MC, it would be amazing but the player should have the ability to turn off the animations and realistic animations which will add particle effects and sounds to the game and breaking animations. For example wood chipping sounds when cutting trees. Picture this in FP. You're walking down a tunnel with a torch in one hand and sword in the other, you can barely see (insert torch light range value, MC wiki doesn't tell) blocks infront if you. You discover iron ore and mine it, but before you can pick up the ore, you realize that there's a gravel floor beneath your feet and the gravel falls and so do you...into and abandoned mineshaft. You'll land on your front, you get up and what you see paralyzes you for a moment. Spiders!!! All Small blue ones you realize when you grab a new torch. One of them sees you, you run, the shaft is huge but you continue running until you reach an end of the shaft. Your running attracted some unwanted attention creepers. Cornered and shaken with fear, you do what any Minecraft player would do. You take out your pick' and mine a 2h 1w tunnel and block off the entrance. You realize your trapped between a rock and and walking explosives (not jihadist, those are walking with explosives, there's a difference and this is a joke). You decide to go with (dwane) the rock and mine forth, after all, you can't go back up, you checked your clock and know it's night time. You feel tired and decide to go to rest, but you can't. You check your clock and realize it's day. You decide to continue on, you get out your rations, eat them and continue. [link] [comments] |
