Clients from 1.12 to 1.16.5 are supported but the server runs 1.15.2. The server started in September, 2020 and the world file is over 124 GB. IP: sweetanarchy.net Description: TLDR; Hacks allowed. Duping allowed. Active players. Admins fix stuff but do not mess with players. Use any client 1.12 up to 1.16.5. Sweet Anarchy spawn is damaged on a scale that defies adjectives but is not impossible to escape with trees and animals less than 300 blocks of zero zero. But also hundreds of withers... or thousands of enchanting tables. Or something else because players are constantly griefing spawn. Someone will probably offer you a kit if you make even a little effort. Though only 5 months old, Sweet Anarchy has an intriguing history of player conflicts, builds, wars, exploits, map art and even illegal items. There is plenty of griefing, stash raiding, double crossing, did I mention withers? And we have back stabbing, portal traps and PvP but also a friendly community of players who leave kits around and help new players get started... or kill them. You never know for sure. Sweet Anarchy is an anarchy Minecraft server: that means server admins try to be hands-off with player projects, conflicts and not interfere with community culture. We all have things to do in ours lives, be it kids, work or an education, we simple cannot devote every minute of the day into minecraft, even if we wanted to some times. A while ago, we noticed with a group of players we met through different servers we are all looking for a place to hang-out and play, but never really found it. So we decided to create it ourselves. As we were all in our 30's we noticed we have less time to play then our younger counter parts and we need a steady place where we can play in our own pace. We were tired of servers shutting down, resetting maps, just when we were getting started leaving us to have to start over again.
Because of this, we decided to create our own server. A steady server which is still there even when you are unable to play for a week or even longer. A server where you know the other players because they don't change every day. After we founded the server, we thought it would be fun to include other like-minded people. And so we did.
We have been growing steadily since we started in august 2020. Right now we have a playerbase of about 50 active players from all over the world and between the age of 18 and 50. Although we don't really keep track of our demographic, a rough estimate would suggest 50% of us are 30+ and 50% is between 20 and 30 years old. Usually you would find at least 2 or 3 others online, but the usual daily activity is around 5 to 10 players with peaks going between 10 and 15 in weekends. Our current playerbase is about 40% European based, 40% USA, and 20% from Asia, Australia and New Zealand. There is literally always someone playing because of this diverse population.
Rather then have everybody fend for themselves, we tend to help each other. We try to build big communal farms for everybody to share. Think of a big farms for iron, slime, wool, enderfarm for exp and etc, we're sure you get the idea. Currently there are a bunch of new projects going on, where everybody who has time can help by either supplying resources needed or actually building. It's a real group effort.
This however does not mean that we do not build our own personal bases and farms. Besides all the group projects, almost everyone of us has build their own base, but even here we can see the community coming back. Some of us are good at building farms, some can do redstone, some can decorate really well. We all tend to help each other everywhere we can, cause in the end, minecraft is most fun when being shared with others. Having farms of your own also allows us to trade with each other. The community is currently moving towards trying to build a shared space for players to open up shop.
Due to the growth we have been seeing, we recently migrated our server to a dedicated host. This provides us with excellent performance and the stability that we need to keep on going and ensuring a good gameplay for everyone.

I want to build a tight-knit community, whether you're an experienced player or brand new to the game. Let's be clear, we're living in some tough times. Personally, Minecraft has been one of those games where I can just hop on, unwind, and take my mind off things.
I want others to feel like that too.
I want the server to remain as close to vanilla as possible however, I'm using a few plugins to enhance it a bit. There's absolutely no teleporting (tpa), no keep inventory, no spawning in items, nothing like that.
I'm hoping this can be a trust based community where we don't need locks for our chests but just incase, the server is protected with CoreProtect incase there's any form of griefing.
There is a website, anomalycraft.com, as of right now, it's there for informational purposes. I haven't set up a DynMap yet but as the server progresses, it's a possibility! The website lists some rules, but if you're the type of player I'm looking for, the main ones are common sense;
1.) Don't grief/steal. 2.) Don't use hacked clients/cheats. 3.) PvP is only allowed if both parties agree to it. 4.) Be chill in the chat. English only.
Oh, I'm also personally not a huge fan of speedrunning. The End will be closed off until we can all arrange a time to do it as an event! I like the idea of players taking their time with builds, projects, farms, adventures, etc. There's so much to do, why rush through it all? :)

This story based, and community oriented SMP is accepting applications through my Discord! Before I hand out links, please read about our server below: This isn't your standard hardcore series. I've been working with a few other people to come up with ideas, and this is what we've decided on. Inspired by semi-anarchy servers, and some elements of SMPs, I wanted to have some controlled chaos. Imagine this: 20 People at a time, participating in conflicts on many different stages. Not simply fighting, but of lightly political meetings, and tribunals. If a player is causing too much trouble, as a community we can decide to banish them. This doesn't mean simply removing them, we must hunt them down, and they can certainly fight back. You die? You're out, and we cycle someone else in. If you're on good enough terms however, we can call a vote to bring you back from the dead, and have you reign terror once more. I also wanted to fix some issues with Hardcore, as if someone dies by a Baby Zombie, I don't believe that to be wholly fun, or engaging. So deaths that are player based will result in a true death, at least until a vote rules otherwise. (Please note that paid hits do not count as true deaths, and paid by Twitch/YouTube viewers!)
