Iron golems should offer a poppy to the player who heals it. Posted: 29 Mar 2021 09:39 PM PDT It's would be sweet to see an iron golem occasionally offer a poppy as a gift to the player for healing it (right clicking the iron golem with an iron ingot heals it in Java Edition). The player should be able to accept the poppy by right clicking the golem. I am not sure if this is already posted the the subreddit but anyways🙂... [link] [comments]
Using a named chest whilst crafting Shulker Boxes should give you named Shulker Boxes. Posted: 30 Mar 2021 12:45 PM PDT When crafting a Shulker Box, if a renamed chest is used (for example: "Redstone Supplies") the crafted shulker box should be named "Redstone Supplies" instead of "Shulker Box" when the player crafts it. Posted: 30 Mar 2021 12:13 PM PDT Jungles in Minecraft are a relatively rare biome, and have a-lot of potential for unique mechanics and environment which isn't perhaps explored to it's full extent in game. My solution: 1) The Extreme Jungles Biome, generates a bit rarer then normal jungles, and can generate as a micro biome within normal jungles like bamboo forests. 2) Extreme Jungles have multiple tree canopies due to their tree heights and thicknesses causing far more darkness. 3) Thanks to the increase in height limit these trees could either generate extremely high, or even be placed upon hills and small mountains. 4) This is the critical point: Extreme jungles have a dense undergrowth, with thick vines, and fauna which slows the player down similar to cobwebs, this can however be cut through like a machete with the sweeping edge effect from a sword. 5) So what is your reward for this denser, extremely hard to traverse landscape? Loot, ruins of multiple shapes and sizes, along with small camps, and overgrown stilted homes litter the jungle, hidden behind the veil of the jungle. 6) as a final note: you could potentially add more to this like poison dart frogs, and piranhas in snaking rivers, or local hunters to trade and live with. But the aura of the extreme jungles alone may be appealing enough :) [link] [comments]
Hover over maps in your inventory to get a preview Posted: 30 Mar 2021 02:17 PM PDT Putting together a large wall of maps can be very laborious. Maybe the most annoying reason for this is that you cannot inspect the contents of a map without taking it into your hand. The current state is simply annoying and does not increase the challenge in a meaningful way. I suggest adding the feature that hovering over a map gives you a preview. This would be especially nice for pixel art! [link] [comments]
You should be able to put something (like a compass) on animals to be able to see them on a map Posted: 30 Mar 2021 01:47 PM PDT I always lose my horses when I get off briefly and it takes me ages to find them. Also sometimes cats stop following you when walking through an abandoned village because they sit on the bed. If you had a way to see them on the map, it would solve this, but wouldn't make it too easy either as you would have to craft it. [link] [comments]
The Azalea Bushes should give sticks Posted: 30 Mar 2021 10:57 AM PDT One of my biggest annoyances when it comes to mining is running out of wood, specifically sticks for tools and torches. In addition to that, the Azalea Bushes currently don't provide much of a use besides decoration. The first solution is that the bushes provide sticks, either they have a chance to drop sticks when broken, or can be crafted into sticks. The second solution is they are a type of sapling and can be grown into an Azalea tree when bone meal is used. Of course there is a good chance they will change the bushes in future snapshots, but for now I'm just sharing this idea. [link] [comments]
Replace the oak bush layer in the jungles with podzol, rocks, moss and flowers Posted: 30 Mar 2021 09:51 AM PDT Currently the jungle is hard to explore and not in the good way. The oak bushes keep slowing you down all the time. I think the only proper way to fix this is to remove the oak bushes entirely. This opens up the jungle and would make exploring jungles more fun. I think podsol and moss would fit the rainforests well and rocks would make the landscape more natural. I like the bamboo forest because it is pretty open compared to the regular jungle. So let's bring the openines to the regular jungle too! This would also make it a great place to make a base on the ground! [link] [comments]
Using pick block on a nether portal should give you flint and steel Posted: 29 Mar 2021 11:36 PM PDT Whenever I'm building, it's always nice to use pick block (defaulted to mouse wheel on java) to save time and hotbar space. However, using this on a nether portal doesn't work or do anything, which can get frustrating while building with several portals. I propose that using pick block on a nether portal will give you a flint and steel, as any other block. In creative, it will act as any other block that you can pick block, except the item is a flint and steel instead. In survival, using pick block on a nether portal will swap whatever you are holding with flint and steel if it's in your inventory. If its not, but a fire charge is, it will swap with a fire charge instead. If there's nothing else, pick block will not do anything. Thanks for reading! I appreciate feedback very much, so feel free to express any criticism you have for me. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Mar 2021 12:22 PM PDT In the latest snapshots there have been fish spawning in aquifers under the ocean which have been confirmed to be removed. So what if we got a New type of fish? Presenting: Blind Cave Fish (Mexican Tetra) & Catfish The Mexican Tetra and Catfish should sense vibrations in the water when swimming and boating through the caves. The mexican tetra should just drop Cod and have 2 Hearts of health. The Catfish on the other hand should have different Sizes and the bigger it is, the more meat it drops. The catfish should drop anywhere from 2-4 Catfish filet without looting and with looting it can be anywhere from 3-7 Filet and have 7 hearts. The Catfish Filet when raw can do 1 Bar of hunger while the cooked Filet can do 4 Bars and heal as much as Cooked porkchops. The Catfish also cannot be captured in a bucket due to their immense size. Catfish can go after Mobs and Players when they get too close ending up with them attaching onto you and slowing you down with a 5% chance of getting Poisoned from it. Axolotls can also attach Catfish and Tetras for food. Another perk of Catfish Filet could be an extra 25% luck when taming cats with filet. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Mar 2021 05:41 AM PDT There should be a way that you can permanently "lock" and armor stand, making it a block instead of an entity. This would reduce lag on multiplayer servers. And would allow for more armor stands to be placed in worlds. My suggestion would be shift clicking an armor stand would turn it into a block and shift clicking again would turn it back. A new structure in Minecraft Ports! Posted: 30 Mar 2021 02:50 AM PDT Ports/Piers/ would generate on the ocean shores and have natural boats, fishing decks, barrels with fishing loot and maybe even a villager. I would out a picture of the port build I made but idk how to add it to the text post. [link] [comments]

Add underwater abyss and caves that go below y-0 Posted: 29 Mar 2021 07:33 PM PDT Now that the y-levels go deeper, it's a wonderful idea to add oceans that go really deep, like the Mariana Trench in real life! Filled with new hostile mobs and strange life. Perhaps make Ocean Monuments spawn deeper, or add another underwater dungeon! This vid has some inspiring ideas for it: https://youtu.be/epYjcWZMrCg [link] [comments]
Bonemealing a Sapling with bonemeal called "Dinnerbone" makes it grow upside-down. Posted: 30 Mar 2021 01:55 AM PDT The idea is simple. If you fully grow a sapling by using Bonemeal called "Dinnerbone", the tree will generate upside-down. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Mar 2021 11:42 AM PDT Quartz Cluster Caves Part 2 Link to part 1 Thanks for the ideas. New blocks: -Tall raw quartz clusters: Similar to stalactites and stalagmites, but can also be placed on the walls. When you touches their tips, they deal damage every 5 seconds. They drop 3-6 raw quartz per block length, and with Fortune 3 5-9. If you break the base, the whole cluster falls. -Quartz-amethyst clusters: Larger than the other quartz clusters, with parts of amethyst. When you break them, they drop 2-4 normal quartz and 1-3 amethyst and with Fortune 3 the twice the amount of materials. Appear in 5% of the total of clusters Effects that would be added: -Silica poisoning Deals 2 hearts of damage for every 10 seconds Generation of caves: -Raw quartz pillars Similar to the stalactites and stalagmites generation, but with crude quartz blocks and tall raw quartz clusters. -Large quartz clusters They are clusters with a large amount of the different types of quartz clusters Other features: -The quartz caves appear in the biomes: -quartz_cluster_caves -border_quartz_cluster_caves In both biomes, if you spend more than 5-10 minutes, you get the effect of silica poisoning (level 1 in the border_quartz_cluser_caves and level 2 in quartz_cluster_caves) -No lava is generated in the surroundings I will upload images soon :D [link] [comments]
Shulkers should drop Ender Pearls Posted: 30 Mar 2021 06:07 AM PDT I mean, it only makes sense, right? Shulkers are very clearly based on bivalves like clams and oysters, what with their two-part shells and fleshy, vulnerable inner head. The only differences being their presence out of water, magic bullets, and levitating heads/shells, but those are just creative liberties. Since bivalves like clams and oysters create pearls IRL, it's only fitting that the most bivalve-like creature in Minecraft would drop the Ender Pearl, right? This would even explain where Ender Pearls come from, because there currently is no real explanation as to why Endermen would drop Pearls of all things (to my knowledge, anyways). Posted: 30 Mar 2021 11:02 AM PDT with the inclusion of copper in the upcoming version, and it's relation with lightning/electricity, perhaps the crafting recipe for powered rails should be modified to use copper instead? or to retain gold's purpose with them, maybe instead of 6 rails when using gold you could get say 3 rails by using copper, keeping both recipes in game so theres options. or, a new type of powered rail with different properties. perhaps copper rails being slower, or redstone only powers a max of 3 instead of 7, etc., making them a cheaper but less powerful option for rails. given the size of caves now, player built mine shafts could be very useful for traversing, and copper rails would be a lot easier to obtain in the early to mid game while still not being op. Posted: 30 Mar 2021 07:36 AM PDT This is part of my in progress End Update idea. Keep in mind that all of this is found in the End. The Lead Sea biome is filled with liquid lead and Ender goo on the shores of the sea. The grunker spawns in lead seas and shoots sinking fluids at the player. As there is nothing but void below the lead sea, this can cause you to sink and die to the void. Drop nothing but Xp, about the same as a silverfish. Has 5.5 health. Lead is found in lead seas in liquid form. You can put it in a bucket. If you place the bucket in the following biomes: Taiga, Tundra, Ice Spikes, Cold Ocean, Mountains; or adjacent to these blocks: Ice, Snow, Packed Ice, Blue Ice, Cold Water source and flowing; then it turns into an impure lead block. Place the block in these biomes: Nether, Desert, Mesa; or place it adjacent to these blocks:Lava, flowing and source, magma block, fire entity, or near a blaze, then it turns back to liquid form. Impure lead blocks can be smelted for 3-6 pure lead chunks. These can upgrade iron armor and tools, craft a lodestone(changed), and craft a lead shield. Lead Lined Iron Tools do 0.5 more damage than iron tools, and 12% faster than iron tools. Lead lined iron armor gives resistance against potions, splash potions, tipped arrows, and lingering potions. The Lead Shield has less durability than a normal shield, but does the same thing and blocks tipped arrows and splash potions. The Ender Goo Block spawns on the shores of the Lead Seas, and makes you sink through the block. When mined with a shovel you get 3-6 goo balls. These are placed on the sides of blocks to stick them to each other. This allows them to be pushed by pistons and retracted. Also, placing them on a piston basically makes it a sticky piston. Posted: 30 Mar 2021 04:06 PM PDT ok, I like 1.16 and all but there is 1 problem. It's the chest placement yes, I like I can have 2 double chests next to one another but something is missing. It's when the chest would connect if you placed it wrong. can we get this feature back for the 1.17 release? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Mar 2021 03:43 PM PDT So. I think the ender dragon egg should have at least one use, besides being a trophy. My idea is, you can hatch the egg by placing it near, let's say 4 (because of how many you need to respawn the ender dragon) end crystals, and waiting for about a day (in-game), you get a notification that the egg has hatched (and maybe an achievement?). afterwards, it can be released, and will slowly grow up (you cannot tame it, i guess it could be like a fox whose parents have been 'tamed', so the baby fox is tame to you. it could be like that, except without the parents.), eventually becoming as big as its mom that you...ahem... killed. it just wanders, and can give you a potion effect (end effect, idk what to call it, it makes it so you can look at endermen without them trying to kill you [they will still hit back if you hit them]).
