Make the Fermented Spider Eye more consistent. Posted: 07 Jun 2021 05:00 AM PDT As it stands, the Fermented Spider Eye, while useful, is kind of limited. Not only does it not work on all potions, but its effects could be seen as confusing or inconsistent to some. It's supposed to turn positive potions into negative ones, so I thought I would expand on that idea. Not only would these new potions spice up survival, but they may also be helpful for mapmakers, redstoners, and the like.
NOTE: The Fermented Spider Eye now no longer turns Water Bottles into Potions of Weakness, nor does it turn Potions of Poison into Potions of Harming. These do not fit with its purpose, which is turning positive potions into negative ones. If you have any suggestions on how to improve this idea, I'd like to hear them in the comments. Keeping the old world generation as a world type in 1.18 Posted: 06 Jun 2021 07:11 PM PDT Since the world generation will change dramatically, I feel there would be some who would want to play with future updates but would much rather play in legacy world generation. I have seen a similar, if not the exact same concept in bedrock with the 'Old' world type, and I feel the same can be done in 1.18 [link] [comments]
Glow Berries Additional feature Posted: 07 Jun 2021 06:57 AM PDT Simple, eating glow berries would give you the Glowing status effect. It wouldn't effect gameplay too much, but it makes sense and at least it will make How Did We Get Here a lot easier. [link] [comments]
Chorus fruit can be used to craft magenta/purple dye Posted: 07 Jun 2021 11:12 AM PDT Chorus fruit can be used to craft magenta/purple dye like beetroot can be used to craft red dye. Also chorus is flower. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jun 2021 02:41 AM PDT we already have foxes and tamed cats, so why can't all animals sleep during night, it would make minecraft so much more reliable. if you went out during the night you could see animals huddled together laying down. also dogs and cats that are tamed but asked to stay should lay down, not only if the cat is sleeping with the player. completely useless to gameplay, but imagine. Posted: 07 Jun 2021 10:24 AM PDT My proposal is for another game mode designed to assist speedrunners and speedrun moderators. "Speedrun" mode would be only selectable when creating a new world. Similar to hardcore. This new game mode would have few changes to the game's features but would be incredibly valuable to the speedrunner's and speedrun leaderboard moderators:
With these new features, speedrunners now have a legitimate way to get final times without third-party software, and Speedrun Leaderboar moderators along with spectators can watch the end text crawl to double-check the validity of the run. This really would be a cool feature to see and would be a valuable resource to the speedrunning community. Speedrunners are starting to become frustrated with Mojang lately due to all of the fundamental game changes that Mojang is adding to the game to please most of the MC community and this game mode could be used as a way to recompensate this fairly large group of MC players and content creators for the new changes and might keep some players from leaving as many speedrunners are due to the recent change in gameplay. Please consider this Mojang, and thanks for the amazing features you have already coded into this wonderful game. [link] [comments]
Freezing effect in combat scenarios won't do damage over time, simply due to how it works. Posted: 07 Jun 2021 11:52 AM PDT I've seen some suggestions to add the Freezing effect to combat somehow, but there's a minor problem... All it would really do is slow down the person temporarily. They would never actually take freezing damage simply due to the way Freezing works, as the Freezing value has to be at maximum and stay there for about 2 seconds before freezing damage occurs. As soon as it is no longer at maximum, (which in Powdered Snow's case is the instant you step out of it) the freezing damage stops. It's not going to be the slower but slowing defense-piercing DPS option you're thinking it will be unless the threshold for freezing damage is lowered below the maximum value. Strays’ arrows give you freezing effect Posted: 07 Jun 2021 06:19 AM PDT Each arrow of the Strays will increase TicksFrozen (the data tag that controls Freezing, which increases by 1 every tick within Powder snow, up to 140) by 5 to 10 randomly instead of giving you Slowness. The reason is that the Slowness effect was to simulate Freezing as it wasn't a thing in pre-1.17 Minecraft, now there is a real Freezing effect, why not just make the change? Posted: 07 Jun 2021 04:03 PM PDT They are a small mob that appear only in savannas, plains, mesas, and snowy biomes, and are nocturnal. They are rather fast, and when killed, drop 3-5 experience upon death. They are a minor mob that stays away from villages. Bandicoots are usually brown, but some that spawn in snowy biomes (mimicking tasmania), will be white to blend in. Bandicoots hate light-emitting blocks, and will run away from one placed within 5 blocks of it. They also cannot swim. These species are marsupials. If you name the orange variant Crash, it will have a Mohawk on its head and blue legs and brown front paws. If it is named Coco, it has yellow curly hair instead, and a lighter chin texture, along with its mouth being pink. Bandicoots are passive, and will often jump away from the player, unless you approach them with seeds. Using seeds, you can tame and breed them. A tamed bandicoot that is named Crash or Coco can defend itself by spinning. Bandicoots scare skeletons. If a bandicoot is hurt, it has a chance to attack by biting the player, inflicting 1 hearts worth of damage, in which it will run away. A tamed bandicoot never attacks its owner. Bandicoots also drop 0-1 leather upon death due to their fur. They have 12 HP, and move by jumping. If a bandicoot is named Crash or Coco, it loses its nocturnal sleeping patterns, and has normal sleeping patterns like people do. [link] [comments]
You Can Use Bannered Shields on a Loom Posted: 07 Jun 2021 01:40 PM PDT so, I've always wanted to have a pattern on my shield, and I know that you guys can't make it so you can use a detailed banner on a shield, so why not make it so you can use a shield on a loom to make it detailed? this shouldn't take that much time since you already have the code for the banners, all you have to do is shift it to the shields with a few changes(either that or my ignorance for coding has gone off the ledge) but yes, pls, I need this. I'm also aware that on java edition, you can use decorated banners on shields. but we need this on bedrock too. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jun 2021 04:35 PM PDT First of all, remove the 'offering' needed to change effects (it's pointless and just annoying) Second of all, make Netherite beacons actually worth it. If you build a beacon with Netherite blocks, it should completely reverse the mechanic and make it so the beacon gives negative effects to hostile mobs instead of positive effects to players. Finally, make the positive effects apply to tamed cats and wolves as well. [link] [comments]
Thinner stalagmites and stalactites. Posted: 07 Jun 2021 01:52 PM PDT New addition to add variety to the dripstone caves, a smaller, thinner version of the stalagmites that could work like candles, in the sense that up to four of them can be placed on the same block. It's just a little feature that could help caves look a little more detailed [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jun 2021 11:49 PM PDT I think it would be appropriate if you could apply netherite onto any item on a smithing table, to make it lava proof. It might give the item a red glow sort of as if it was enchanted. It may also provide extra durability to tools that have netherite added to them. It might also be limited this to items that will not stack, as that would ruin sorting your items and single items such as shulker boxes or bows would be the most useful for such a mechanic. Posted: 07 Jun 2021 02:26 PM PDT Chameleons would be a mob found in the jungle that would be found in the same green as the jungle leaves around it they can be bred with parts of insects, like spider eyes or… I guess thats it. Upon death, they would drop 1 coloured scale. Once every 5 or so minutes, they can also drop a coloured scale. 4 of these in a crafting bench give you a scale block, a new decorating and redstone block! It starts out green, but depending on the redstone signal strength going into it (1 to 15 for those who don't know) it will become a different colour. This can be used to make different patterns, get access to shades and hues that builders didn't have access to previously, and even allow art minigames that require no command blocks or mods! Totem of Undying animation tweak Posted: 07 Jun 2021 10:47 AM PDT Considering that the totem of undying disappears after a use, I think it would make sense for it to shatter during the animation. Thoughts? [link] [comments]
CanDestroy should apply to swords in Creative Mode Posted: 06 Jun 2021 09:40 PM PDT I was playing earlier in creative mode, using lime wool for markers that I wanted to break later. I didnt want to break anything else, so I had to be extra careful. Then it hit me: Does CanDestroy work for creative mode? So I tested it, and no, it doesnt work. And I think it should. As stated above, you would put CanDestroy tags on swords, and they would then be able to break blocks in said tags. It would be very useful for breaking specific blocks in a section without having to be super careful to only break a group of blocks and preventing potential miss-clicks. And of course, it would be optional. Im sure people are gonna point out that you could get the same effect done with /fill (coords) (coords) air replace (block). However, in many cases players will only want to break certain blocks in an area, so this addition would involve one easy command as to many precise commands. Make new trees with new wood types Posted: 07 Jun 2021 08:17 AM PDT The azalea tree does not come with a new wood type, although we can not change this, I hope the same thing does not occur with future trees. When adding a new tree type such as palm tree, mangrove tree, etc., it should be made of a new wood type instead of using an old one. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jun 2021 07:45 AM PDT I think a lot of you heard about idea of hammer but i I will expand your views on hammers, and i will try to make them more attractive.
If it would be added to minecraft im sure most of the people won't complain :). [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jun 2021 01:20 PM PDT i think that there should be a maple biome. in the maple biome it is basically a fall season biome. all tree leaves in the biome turn orange and grass gets an orange tint. the biome would be nothing speciel although it could be cool having it near mountains it would like a lot like canada. i also think that when it rains there could be a 10% chance for it to snow.
