    Wandering Traders should sell amethyst

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 05:51 AM PDT

Amethyst is a rare ore that isn't easy to come by, it doesn't serve much use but is still an uncommon item to find, which is the perfect way to describe most other items the wandering trader sells.

    Upgrade the "Edit World" screen

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 02:37 PM PDT

    Upgrade the "Edit World" screen

Java edition's "Edit World" screen is boring. Sure, it has cool features such as making a backup of the world, and optimizing it. But stuff like adding a specific resource pack for the world or changing the world's icon, must be done manually.

I understand this suggestion may not get a lot of attention, since it's not useful to many players, as it's specifically for java, and it's not really that important since you can already do most of the stuff shown, this is just a quality of life change.

This is how the Edit World screen looks right now:

    Minecraft's current Edit World Screen

And this is the concept I made:

Concept by me of the new and upgraded Edit World Screen

Even if the image speaks for itself, I will explain how it works.

In the first text box, you can choose the world's name. (Colored, bold, underlined, italic etc... text is allowed)

Right below is a new space to write a description for the world. World descriptions would be a new feature, that displays a small description of the world under the title, in the world selection screen. Words on the description of the world count when searching for worlds using the search box on top, but obviously they have less priority than world names.

Below that you can find a bunch of options, already available on the current edit world screen, except for some new features.

The new features are the "Delete" and "Re-Create" buttons, now available here (there could be here and also on the world selection screen, or just here, or just on the world selection screen)

And the "Export world" option. This option creates a .zip file of the world on a location of your choice. Perhaps there could be a new button on the Create New World screen, called "Import world".

On the right side we can customize the world's icon. With the option to reset it (already available on the current edit world screen), a "browse icons" button, to import an image you want to use as the world's icon, and a "Use screenshot" button, wich allows you to use a screenshot you made in-game pressing F2 as the world's icon.

Below we have the option to add a resource pack, that is automatically activated when joining the world.

And also the ability to customize game rules once the world is created, without the need of /gamerule.

Finally, the option to add and remove data packs to the world, even when the world has already been generated (trying to remove a datapack that changes world generation would make a warning pop up.)

    Thanks for reading!

make it so grass blocks will turn into dirt blocks when set on fire

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:24 PM PDT

but only when the grass blocks are directly set on fire. They still wouldn't spread fire, since that would just turn the overworld into Australia, and nobody wants that

very low reputation in the village

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:49 PM PDT

basically when your reputation is very very low, villagers will start panicking when they see you and completely refuse to trade (probably at -30 reputation), they also might spawn more golems just to get rid of you, however if you kill zombies at night, you might speedup the progress of re-gaining that reputation, also golems will stop attacking you for a while if you kill a zombie

    Dripstone lance

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:45 AM PDT

    Dripstone lance

The dripstone lance is a long melee ranged weapon. It has special abilities to make it a good mid-game weapon. (I checked the FPS list and lances where in the list, but it was for horses. So i think this doens't count.)

    Crafting and finding:

The dripstone lance can be crafted with this recipe:

    https://preview.redd.it/ot9v0ekals771.png?width=82&format=png&auto=webp&s=347430b7e91e277b3d535053f39ef4a8124d4126

It can also be founded in chests from dungeons and zombies have a 1% chance to spawn with it. From that 1% there is a 5% chance that the lance has full durability and enchanted.

    Uses and abilities:

When right clicking/R2 you attack like a normal sword, only it has one block longer reach and does 2 hearts damage.

When holding left click/ L2 your screen gets a bit zoomed in and you go faster. You can't switch items in your hotbar or do something with your left or right hand, you can't do anything and move automatic, you can't stop running. When hitting a mob or player you do 4 heart of damage and you go out of the boost and you can do normal stuff again. You can also get out of the boost when hitting a wall or going in water. When you are in the boost the durability of the lance goes down.

    Enchantments:

Like normal swords it can have: knockback, fireaspect and sharpness. Special enchantments would be: Cavebust, an enchantment that does more damage to cave mobs and it can go to III, Piercing, an enchantment that goes trough enemies when using the right click/ R2 attack and can go up to III.

It can have like normal swords curses.

    Why it would be good:

    1. a new combat weapon is always welcome. A new melee weapon would spice up the game, there aren't so much melee weapons so a new addition is always welcome.
    2. Good for PVP.
    3. New uses for dripstone and copper.
    4. A new way to travel faster above ground without blue ice, minecarts, horses, ...
    5. A new mechanic. Mojang could always expand on this idea if it gets added.

hope you liked this idea. let me know if there are downsides to this idea and what could be better, because this idea is not completely thought out.

    Spyglass Enchantment Concept

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 06:16 AM PDT

Based on an idea I had where spyglasses should be able to locate shipwrecks and buried treasure through blocks in a certain radius, this enchantment could bring use to the spyglass for Optifine users, as Optifine has a built-in zoom mod, which functions the same as the telescope, but better and more effecient.

Usage: The enchantment, which I shall call Pirates Precision (comment if you have a better name) can locate buried treasure chests and shipwrecks more effeciently, it would create a special outline around the blocks of the structure when the player is within a certain radius, similar to the glowing effect, whenever the user is zooming in with the spyglass, which can be seen through blocks.

Levels: Now I think there should be 3 levels (tiers?) to this enchantment

Level I: Outline of the chunk(s) that the structure is in appears whenever the player is zoomed in with the spyglass within a 50 block radius of the structure.

Level II: Outline of the blocks generated within the structure appears whenever the player is zoomed in with the spyglass within a 75 block radius of the structure.

Level III: Outline of the blocks generated within the structure appears whenever the player is zoomed in with the spyglass within a 100 block radius of the structure.

Obtaining: This enchantment cannot be obtained through the enchanting table. Instead, the enchantment book can be found in chests within the ocean ruins, dungeons or buried treasure.

This enchantment wouldn't be extremely overpowered, but would still give use to the spyglass to Optifine users, and vanilla Minecraft players in all stages of the game.

Add Volcanoes/Volcanic Biome to Fps or Rejected List

Skeletons effected by the wither effect should become wither skeletons

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 05:59 AM PDT

Quite self explanatory, wither skeletons are stronger, withered versions of the normal skeleton, and they should shake (similar to piglins/hoglins and zombie villagers in the middle of the curing process) when effected by the wither effect for a few seconds before getting cured, this could make for interesting wither skull farms and would be the perfect addition to Minecraft.

Automatically fill crafting table with last recipe when pressing space similar to trading with villagers

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 01:00 PM PDT

When trading with villagers pressing space refills the current trade. When crafting lots of the same stuff it can get pretty tedious to constantly redo recipes or go from recipe book to getting the item.

So my idea would be that pressing space in the crafting table would just be like clicking the last used recipe in the recipe book again. That would speed up crafting immensely.

    Nether fortress makeover

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 01:46 PM PDT

1.16 was amazing as it made the nether liveable. But for some strange reason the nether fortresses were never touched. I'm not saying redo them but just to make them look nicer.

1.16 introduced new nether brick variants, which should be used in the fortresses. Red nether brick should be used for the support pillars. Cracked nether brick should be spread in areas of the fortress. Chiseled nether brick should be put over doorways. Nether brick wall should replace the fence railing along with the block that the fence stand on. It should also replace the fence surrounding the blaze spawners. This will just make everything stand out and look a bit better.

The generation of them should be improved too as it's just a mess.

    Fruits and Veggies!

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 03:18 PM PDT

Minecraft should add fruit trees, bushes, and vines and more farmable vegetables.

Each climate can host one or two unique fruit trees, such as apples in colder and oranges in warmer and bananas in tropical. Other trees could be cherry, pear, coconut, date. They can also modify their existing berry bush and vine entities to introduce strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry variants and tomato and grape vines!

These fruits can be easily harvested with a right click, and restore a small amount of hunger each due to their abundance. The existing types of trees could drop only sticks and saplings, or update to drop their seed, such as acorns for oaks.

Minecraft could also add a few leafy vegetables that grow naturally along with grass that can be planted to reproduce. Lettuce and spinach, for example. If they really want to get wild, they could introduce the mustard plant to get broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and kale, but that might be a bit extra.

Finally, they could add nuts and legumes and modify mushrooms a bit. They could make some mushrooms edible directly after picking while others are poisonous, or have certain visual effects...

Overall I feel like some combination of these ideas would fit Minecraft's trend of progressively adding variety to every aspect of the game, and if they're going to do such huge updates like Caves and Cliffs, they could probably handle a huge Plant and Food update...

    Add a music frequency option

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 01:30 PM PDT

There should be an option for how long it is between songs playing, as once per day is pretty long. Maybe there could be a Default frequency, 20-minute frequency, 10 minute, 5-minute, and a constant music option.

An idea to be able to differentiate unwaxed copper blocks from their waxed variants

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:25 PM PDT

So the other day, I was messing around with copper blocks in a build and very quickly, it became a pain once I tried mixing in waxed blocks with regular ones. So the first part of my idea is to have an outline or some differentiating feature to the block in the inventory (https://vanillatweaks.net/assets/resources/previews/resourcepacks/1.17/VisualWaxedCopperItems.png?v2). This should be pretty easy to implement, but they could take it a step further. When you hold a barrier block in your hand, all barrier blocks in the world are shown, so similarly, all the waxed copper blocks could have their texture changed to show the outline when the player holds a waxed block. I don't know how feasible this would be, but considering the functionality for this is already in the game, I feel like it could be done and it would make a massive difference when you're working with copper blocks.

    Different Pumpkin faces

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:49 PM PDT

I think it would be nice to add some variety to the pumpkin expressions instead of having just one, such as a smile, frown, shock, etc. Of course, keeping the original as an option. I think you could select specific faces by using the shears on the pumpkin multiple times, and it would cycle through the faces.

    Add a tag: Reduce_Fall_Damage

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 10:18 AM PDT

(Insp: u/MrSlimeOfSlime ) this tag could also be given a variable so mod creators who wanted to reduce it by a set amount could. It could also be given a dependency, for example, if a signal is powering it at a minimum of seven, reduce damage by 50%. This would simplify that process.

    Delay command in command blocks

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:12 PM PDT

I think it would be useful for there to be a "delay" command in command blocks where it would wait for a specified amount of time before continuing the command block chain. It would eliminate the need for some redstone lines or timers that are somewhat unwieldy.

Workstation blocks that you can right click on can be set as a decoration block.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:02 PM PDT

I've noticed that people including me like to use workstation blocks as actual building blocks such as for flooring, roofs or just for in general non-usable stations that are just there for looks. I think there needs to be a checkbox that says something like: "set as decoration". People like the patterns of certain workstation blocks so they end up using them as a piece of their build.

I've only come up with 2 ways it could be turned into a decoration block.

Method 1: When you have the box checked, you get exited out of the menu and its disabled, but because you can no longer access that block you can't enable it. So you would have to mine it and place it back in order to re-enable it.

Method 2: Double right click the block to disable it.

Maybe tell me other ways it can be done?

Add the ability to add scopes to shovels.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 03:52 PM PDT

I need to aim when I dig stuff or else I will destroy the wrong thing.

The simple fix is to add a scope to shovels.

now this is obivously a late game only feature. So it should require two of the new verison 11.7 telascopes.

Would be crafted by putting the shovel of your choice (stone) into a crafting table with two scops.

Also this would make shovel a viable option for adding more efficency levels and adding luck of the see to shovles.

If this does not work out please contact me at [XxXrossjamesonarnoldXxX@gmale.com](mailto:XxXrossjamesoncarnoldXxX@gmale.com) I learned html in class 2 years ago so I might be able to help.

    Thank you.

More Idea's so it make villager seem like they have lives

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 03:45 PM PDT

    Hunting:

if 50% the crops in the village are depleted, a new villager "the hunter", will take out a bow and shoot animals like cows, pigs, and e.t.c, this would make sense, as there is a butcher job

the hunter jobsite block will be a campfire or furnace, or both

    Defending:

some villages know what the pillagers are doing and know zombies are eating tons of brains, and have some non-lethal but still dangerous traps

Example: Leaf Bridge: a classic trap which is the oldest trick in the book when it comes to traps, when walked on it will break the leaves revealing a small hole made of green terracotta, since the raiders are always looking for a target, not traps, they wont see it coming, zombies are dumb, so they also dont see it coming
