You shouldn't be able to shoot your horse when riding it

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 11:28 AM PDT

So if you aim downwards currently when riding a horse you and shoot with a bow you'll hit the horse, which is quite annoying if you are on a hill and need to shoot downwards to hit something, so i thought this suggestion would be good. Thoughts?

    Inverted ravines

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 03:56 AM PDT

Ravines are very deep trenches in Minecraft, but if you took one and reversed its height, it would look very interesting. It would be much higher than a normal minecraft mountain, and much, much steeper. On occasions, these inverted ravines would be as high as 256 blocks!

These could sparsely generate in nearly every biome (except mountains), and have their own unique animals. If an inverted ravine generates in the sea, it will be a huge island, because most of it is underwater.

The Wandering Trader needs to buy stuff as well as sell, or at least barter.

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 09:04 AM PDT

I'm currently playing a world where I've yet to come across any emeralds. I've seen the wandering trader three times now, but I can't trade with him for lack of emeralds.

He needs to buy things so that we can get emeralds out of him, or failing that have some barter trades where we can give him stuff commonly found in the biome we are currently in but rare elsewhere to trade for whatever he has.

    Gorges

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 03:47 AM PDT

These are ravines, but filled to the top, or halfway with water. These are found usually in wet biomes, like the swamps for example.

Frozen gorges exist in cold biomes.

Lava gorges can generate in the Nether.

    1.?? - The Enchanted Update

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 03:56 PM PDT

I had the idea to make an update that focuses on the theme of enchantment. I tried to make it good, so please, try to give me ideas that would improve the idea of the Enchanted Update.

Darknite Ore - A dark gemstone often found embedded in Netherrack. It is a unique gemstone, in the way that rather than emitting light, it emits darkness. Darknite is brittle, but when it comes into contact with a blaze rod, it creates a strong bond that allows it to stay together for an EXTREMELY long time, even longer than a diamond sword or axe could ever dream of. Darknite weapons will last MUCH longer and do MUCH more damage than a diamond axe or sword, but when held in either hand, will result in blindness. 9 of them crafted into blocks that emit a strong darkness.

Melted Glowstone - When Glowstone dust is put inside a furnace, and then burned using some sort of fuel source, the glowstone hardens and melts simultaneously, turning it into some sort of yellow liquid. When placed in the center of a crafting table, surrounded by 4 darknite blocks on the edges, as well as 4 blaze rods in the corners, it will form enchanted essence.

Enchanted Essence - A powerful essence that burns strongly within your hands. Can be used to craft enchanted books via the enchanting lectern.

Enchanting Lectern - A lectern used to write and craft enchanted books. There are three slots: The leftmost one is the book slot, where the book you want to enchant goes. The middle slot is where you put your enchanted essence. The rightmost slot is where your third item goes. Depending on which item it is, the enchantment will be different. Here's a table of item --> enchantment:

Item put in third slot Enchantment
    Water Bucket Aqua Affinity
    Spider Eye Bane of Arthropods
    TNT Blast Protection
    Redstone Channeling
    Dark Prismarine Depth Strider
    Lapis Lazuli Efficiency
    Feather Feather Falling
    Fire Charge Fire Aspect
    Blaze Powder Flame
    Diamond Fortune
    Blue Ice Frost Walker
    Nautilus Shell Impaling
    Arrow Infinity
    Snowball Knockback
    Ender Pearl Loyalty
    Phantom Membrane Looting
Heart of the Sea Luck of the Sea
    Bottle o' Enchanting Mending
    Tripwire Hook Multishot
    Nether Quartz Piercing
    Gold Nugget Power
    Bow Projectile Protection
    Shield Protection
    Glass Punch
    Soul Sand Quick Charge
    Water Bottle Respiration
    Elytra Riptide
    Diamond Sword Sharpness
    Diamond Pickaxe Silk Touch
    Rotten Flesh Smite
    Cactus Thorns
    Obsidian Unbreaking
    End Stone Vortex

Sky Island Villages - Very, VERY rarely, you may come across an enchanted sky island village. Sky island villagers look just like normal villagers, except slightly more pale and with wings. In a sky island village, it is possible to come across an enchanted garden with golden apple trees and golden carrot crops. But, even the most heavenly of places isn't safe, as there are also Sky Pillagers and Sky Ravagers.

Cooked Nether Warts - When a nether wart is cooked, it becomes a very nutritious snack that tastes somewhat of cheese. However, it may have a 5% chance of giving you the wither effect, so be weary.

Ender Banshee - When an Ender Dragon finally releases its egg, that's when you know you're done. However, when you take this to the overworld, you're not quite sure what to do with it. It just kind of sits there, as a trophy. Ender banshees from the dragon egg. However, ender banshees, unlike Jean the ender dragon, are playful and friendly, and will even let you ride them. It's sort of an end game thing.

But hey, these are just some stupid little teen's ideas, what do I know?

    Boat Pillagers in raids

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 09:53 AM PDT

I've noticed that sometimes Pillagers have a hard time Pillaging when there's too much water around the Village.

Pillagers should be able to arrive by boat, or put a boat in the water and then travel to the land using the boat, and then dismount

There would always be someone rowing at the front, preferably a Vindicator, and a Pillager in the backseat so they can shoot arrows while the other is rowing.

    A black variant of stone

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 03:10 AM PDT

    For example..

In the Antarctica. There are giant hills... ice and snow.

    .

Home base of the penguin's and more there are hills made from black stone.

    .

Black pebble stones usually found in rivers come from places such as these.

    .

I'd suggest to add black hills in the ice spike biome and patches of black stone in mountains in the taiga biome.

    .

Black slate, or it could be called basalt but basalt is found near volcano's and lava.

    .

    The textures

They would look like we have now.

When broken it gives black cobblestone.

When combines it gives black stone bricks and chiseld and mossy textures.

Slabs, stairs, walls, pressure plates, buttons, etc..

    Worldgen options: continents vs pangaea

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 12:13 AM PDT

There should be an option which allows us to generate continents in a vast world ocean instead of a world full of inland seas. It could be tweaked as well for whether continents had relatively realistic biome structure like oceans currently do or a more chaotic structure like land biomes currently do.

Regarding what I mean by continents, 1.6 is a good example. Though maybe have continental shelfs so mariners could actually find nearby continents rather than getting lost and having no hope of finding a continent for 10s of kilometers, since in 1.6 the monotony of the oceans meant going in a straight line for like 30 kilometers was the only real way to find other continents, whereas post-aquatic update this wouldn't necessarily be the case.

    New biome: Taigia Wildlands

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 04:02 PM PDT

For the general idea, think Slamacow's "Where the forest Ends" but less hardware-intensive. It's also about as rare as the mega taigia variant to balance it out.

The terrain has random increases and decreases in elevation with spruce trees that grow SIDEWAYS on cliffs. However I have a few unique ideas for this biome.

    1; Extreme plant growth.

If the jungle is overgrown, this is actively spreading. Whenever one block of a tree is chopped it has a 40% chance of actually REGROWING instantly when in this biome due to the fertile soil. Furthermore, tall grass and ferns have a chance to spread/duplicate every few ticks. Vines may begin growing on anything that's a block on the ground, including player-built structures. It will not leave the Taigia biome however, instead forming a natural roadblock.

    1. Overgrown Villages!

These long-abandoned structures are absolutely filled with plant life and partially deteriorated, being extremely hard to spot due to both the aggressive terrain and the small amount of leftover structure. It has typical village loot and giant farmlands where the crops stopped growing on the farmland and instead ran wild everywhere.

    3; New mobs!

The Muncher is a bonnafide man-eating plant trope. It's immobile, but if you approach it too close it will lunge forward a block and attempt to gnaw on you. Additionally, it has a chance to inflict Slowness l for ten seconds when the attack lands (0% for Easy, 5% for normal, 15% for hard) causing you to have trouble escaping. This mob is different from other mobs in that it doesn't deal much damage from each attack, at only three hearts on all difficulty levels, but as long as you're in range it rapidly deals damage.

The Fern Man is a zombie-like mob that isn't undead, instead being controllled by the forest itself to drive out intruders. It looks like a Villager with vines all over it and a fern growing out of it's head, and simply uses the Zombie AI and damage types. However it can spawn at any time (though at a rare percentage of 1%).

Lastly, though not a new mob, Creepers have an increased spawn rate in this biome.

What do you guys think? Too mod-like?

Wearing a Zombie Head should make Villagers run from you

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 08:08 PM PDT

I feel like this could be an interesting way to do some more things with villagers. Some possibilities:

    1. Seeing as leads can't be used on villagers, you could use the zombie head to move them around instead.
    2. Adventure/puzzle/whatever maps could use this mechanic to accomplish some neat things. You could try to direct the villager onto a pressure plate, for example.

Plus, this would also give some "treasure hunting" incentive. We know that charged creepers can blow up some mobs to make them drop their head. Personally, I use this mechanic all the time to get wither skeleton skulls. How about using the creeper to obtain a zombie head so that you can unlock some new abilities? With turtle helmets and crossbows being introduced recently, Minecraft's been making a move towards more special items and I think this would make the zombie head a really neat item to have, especially for the more advanced player.

Maces: A Way To Fight Armored Players

    Posted: 07 Apr 2019 09:51 PM PDT

Don't you just hate it when you fight a guy fully armored with enchanted diamond, and it takes you forever to kill them? Well, why not use maces?

Maces is can only be crafted in iron, gold, and diamond tier. You can craft it like a shovel, but replace the iron, gold, or diamond with its block form.

Its damage for iron should be 8, for gold 6, and for diamond 10. It will be slightly slower than an axe.

"Why use a mace?" You might ask, well, maces can bypass a good part of your armor, so even wearing full diamond armor against a mace can make you feel like you are just wearing leather. The amount of armor points bypassed also increases the higher the tier is.(Except for gold.)

You can also enchant maces. Unfortunately, you cannot enchant it with Sharpness for obvious reasons. You can still enchant it with Flame, Knockback, Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Unbreaking, Mending, and a new unique enchantment: Stun!

If your mace is enchanted with Stun, there is a 5% chance that when you hit a player or a mob, it will have stun particles on its head and stop moving for 2 seconds. Every increase in level increases the chance of a stun happening and caps at level 3 with a 15% chance.

Also, zombies can spawn holding these, and can even be enchanted with Stun, so becareful!

So, what do you think? Should maces be added? Personally, I think it should. It would provide more ways to fight players, other than the sword, shooting arrows, and throwing tridents.

    Make curses invisible until activated

You will not see the curse of vanishing or binding listed under enchantments, and thunder crashes when you die with vanishing items or when you equip binding items.

    Old bridges

    Posted: 08 Apr 2019 03:44 AM PDT

These wooden bridges can be any colour of wood, and generate over a ravine usually on a path to a village. The bridges have a sneaky mechanic that makes it so the moment you get to the middle planks of the bridge, the entire bridge breaks, and the ropes holding the bridge also snap, meaning that you fall into the ravine. When a bridge is broken, a loud crack of wood can be heard, and the planks that make up the remainder of the bridge are hanging vertically on the ravines walls. These bridges do have a warning sign before they break though. They will creak loudly, and have a low pitch to it, and the bridge will start to shake and also have a few ropes starting to break and lots of plank particles falling off the slabs of wood. This means that you have to hurry or the bridge will break in just a few seconds.
