Posted: 04 Jun 2019 03:36 AM PDT If you have got any ideas about which block other than carpet would be suited for this let me know. Leave your thoughts down below. [EDIT]: an alternative would be to right-click the slimeblock with the carpet to make it not-sticky. Link to Minecraft Feedback page post [link] [comments]
Pillager Boat Patrols and Seaborne Attacks Posted: 04 Jun 2019 11:52 AM PDT Adding on to Pillager's raids, one thing I thought would be interesting is if Pillagers could board boats and patrol coastline in small 'flotillas', if you will: Outposts spawning in a certain vicinity near water could have docks for boats. At certain times, Pillagers board the boats in groups of 3-5 to roam the water and eventually return to the Outpost. If they travel into a certain range of a player who is on land, they can dock their boats to attack the player. I think this would be a really cool addition to the already advanced Pillager AI. I have seen some suggestions concerning nerfing Pillager raids, and I don't believe that these seaborne attacks would be too OP. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2019 03:10 PM PDT I think Rubies should be added. Rubies are easily the most wanted gem in Minecraft due to their removal in the snapshots of release 1.3. They would be found around diamond level, and would have multiple uses. One use for Rubies is for trade with villagers. Rubies could be used in a type of currency exchange between Emeralds and vice versa (example: Giving 2 Rubies to a Villager gives you one Emerald, and giving an Emerald gives you 2 Rubies.) Rubies could be used in exclusive trades between Villagers or an alternative to emeralds (example 1: A normal Villager would offer enchanted Iron items, but if offered Rubies, they would offer enchanted Chainmail items. example 2: A Villager sells Diamond Swords at a cost of 20 Emeralds per Sword. If the Villager is offered Rubies for the Sword, they will instead charge a steep 40 Rubies for the same Sword.) This makes it so even though Rubies may be more common than emeralds, they cannot be exploited to get items for a cheaper price. Another use for the Ruby gem has to do with the Pillager mobs added in 1.14, and the Illagers added in 1.11. In this hypothetical scenario, Rubies are the all time favorite gem of the Pillagers and Illagers. And the Pillagers and Illagers will accept Rubies for various things. For example, a group of Pillagers will decide to spare your life if you give them a whopping 64 Rubies. For Illagers, giving 64 Rubies to a single Illager will cause them to run off, implying that they are telling the other Illagers of your good deed and letting them know not to hurt you. After this, the entirety of the Woodland Mansion's inhabitants will become passive aside from naturally spawned mobs (Creepers, Zombies, etc.) in the Mansion. For 128 Rubies, (2 stacks) Pillagers will do various tasks for you such as fighting for you, raiding generated structures such as temples and ocean monuments (Their performance won't always be stellar in all situations, haha), mining, fishing, etc. They will bring all materials collected to a Chest that is marked with a Pillager themed emblem or lock. (Which they will give to the player upon giving them the 128 Rubies) There is a catch, however. Any Rubies mined will not be returned to said Chest and instead, the Pillagers will keep the Rubies for themselves. This keeps the player from exploiting the Pillagers into giving them better deals. Pillagers, however, will not steal any Rubies from the players Chests apart from the Chest(s) marked for their use. Pillagers will automatically seek out and mine ores and go to the nearest source of water to fish. For naturally generated structures, placing a sign marked with a Pillager's face will let them know where to raid. If you remove the sign before the Pillagers are done raiding the structure, they will stop raiding it and go back to home base. The sign, like the Pillager themed Chest item, is given to you once you hand over the 128 Rubies. And last but not least, for fighting, simply put, the Pillagers will simply seek out hostile and passive mobs (This also includes but is not limited to: other groups of Pillagers that haven't been brought to an agreement with bartering, with, Illagers that haven't been brought to an agreement with bartering, and other Players.) For the Illagers, the price is a bit steeper, at 192 Rubies. (3 stacks) They will agree to leave you alone AND move out of the mansion, leaving the entire establishment for yourself. They will not come back at all and let you be at peace. (This does not prevent other mobs like Creepers, Skeletons, etc. from spawning in the mansion without the Player lighting up the mansion.) Okay, so now for the part most people reading this have been waiting for. Tools, and Armor. I feel like Emerald tools/armor are so highly demanded that even if they are never added, they should be compensated with something like Rubies. Rubies would be unique in that, they have insanely high durability values (more than diamond!), and low attack/efficiency/defense stats. Like, higher than Iron but lower than Diamond. (example: A Ruby Chestplate would provide more durability than diamond, able to not break after many "stuck in the lava" situations and intense PVP battles, but would not be able to keep the player alive as easily. Meaning they would be less viable for fighting a horde of creepers.) This forces the Player to have to balance out their armor and tools selection instead of instantly going for Diamond items. This makes battling with Players and Mobs simultaneously harder but also just as easy as before if not easier if the player knows the right combinations to use. Thank you for reading. Underwater Redstone with using Bamboo as a protective sheath Posted: 04 Jun 2019 01:30 AM PDT Maybe you could put bamboo and redstone in a crafting table to make sheathed redstone? That way the sheathed redstone could be placed underwater. [link] [comments]
Gilas, Small Useful Lizards of the Deserts Posted: 04 Jun 2019 09:32 AM PDT Imagine you are working in the desert, and you are building a fountain or a pool, but then you forget one key component. Water. You quite face palm as you have to walk all the way to the river that is a good 100-150 blocks away. This surprisingly happens to quite a lot of people, however there is a solution that will not only make your life easier, but will add life to the Deserts. Introducing the Gila. Appearance and Behavior Gilas are 2 block long lizard like mobs that spawn in the desert. They tend to spawn alone but sometimes can be found in groups of 2. They look very similar to Gila Monsters, but with a much thicker tail. When approached, they will start hissing quite loudly (louder than a creepers), and if approached even more they will bite, causing poison I for 10 seconds before waddling off. One can tame on of these thick lizards by simply giving them water. One can either place water on them or they can drop the bucket and hope that it comes by. When tamed they become much brighter and will be .5x faster than before. IRL Gila Monster: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ab/Gila_monster2.JPG Uses Now you have yourself a tamed Gila, and you may be asking, what does it do? Gilas have the ability to store water in there tail. One can store up to 10 buckets of water on them, allowing them to become a moving water source of sorts. Drops When Killed they drop Spongy Flesh. Spongy Flesh can be used just like a bucket, but instead of placing down one block of water, it can instead place 2. In conclusion, the Gila would brighten up the deserts and be a use to players and travelers who require water. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Jun 2019 02:59 AM PDT I want to tame spiders and have them live in my scary Giant Spruce Taiga Forest and they should lay webs everywhere to catch other players and mobs. Saddle the spider and become a spider rider! As a spider rider you can climb walls, cliffs, etc. Spiders should attack passive mobs the way wolves and foxes do. [link] [comments]
Caveman Clubs and flint tipped spears Posted: 04 Jun 2019 02:19 AM PDT You make it from a few sticks without planks of wood in an upward line (use glass to add a sharp edge for a bit more damage), and you whack enemies with it. It's weaker than a sword, but is ideal for when resources are low, and for primitive themed areas. Flint spears are crafted just like the caveman club, but are made from two sticks and a flint in place of the stick at the top of the line. These act like a cheap trident, and are ideal when resources are low. They have a chance of spinning through the air, which does two hearts more of damage when spinning. These cannot be enchanted due to their primitive technology. [link] [comments]
Snowballs are annoying! Have them be mined by hand rather than a shovel. Posted: 04 Jun 2019 11:30 AM PDT Me and my buddies settled in a tundra. Clearing out plots of land is a hassle because you wind up with hundreds of useless snowballs. This could be avoided by having them mined by hand. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2019 01:53 PM PDT A new variant of the crossbow that is only craftable, cost far more due to its fire rate. Because it consumes more arrows, infinity can be applied for more ammo, or mending to keep it from breaking. Again, fire rate. Faster than quickfire 3, so it automatically is the fastest weapon. It deals 7 dmg instead of ten, and the spread is a little greater than the crossbow, but its range is similar. This definetily needs editing, please suggest changes. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2019 01:35 PM PDT Jungle spider would be a new variant of the spider that spawns in the jungle. The jungle spider would be half the size of a normal spider. It would have half the health of a normal spider and do half the damage. However when the spider bites you it would inflict 10-second of of poison that can kill you and 30 seconds of nausea. When you kill the jungle spider it would drop 1-2 spider eyes, 1-2 string, and would drop 1-2 spider fangs what's could be to craft nausea potions in the brewing stand. The jungle spider is used to being in the dark jungle canopy so it does not like the light. It will not attack you in the light. [link] [comments]

Lockable books and the ability to curse books Posted: 04 Jun 2019 03:13 AM PDT Combine a writable book in an anvil with a glass pane and this will enable the book to be locked or unlocked. When locked, no one except the author can open the book. When unlocked, anyone can open the book. This is useful for hiding cryptic messages in books. It would be so cool to add a potion effect to a book, mostly negative ones. If someone tried to open a book you really didn't want them to, you could dip the book in a cauldron with a Potion of Harming, and it will harm anyone who picks up the book except yourself when locked. Example horror text inside a book: YOU'VE BEEN WARNED (red colour) The interface would then close after a second or two, and apply the intended effect to the player, but only if the players name did not match the authors name. Posted: 04 Jun 2019 11:29 AM PDT The game currently uses a large square dead zone witch restricts your diagonal movement with the right stick. Here is an example of a square dead zone: /watch?v=xXIbghzrcgo The game needs an option to use a circular dead zone so that you have full diagonal movement and a slider to change the size of the dead zone from 0% - 20% (or whatever the size of it is currently). https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360046065651-PS4-dead-zone-options [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2019 06:59 AM PDT Would be nice to have a prospecter pickaxe which gives a general overview of what's in the area. Imagine being in a cave that seemingly leads nowhere and you've collected all the resources, if you had the prospects pickaxe you could go around right clicking to prospect, other mods like terrafirmacraft use this. So it may check a 25 block radius from the point you clicked and it says. Found traces of diamond ore, so youd mine in that direction, and then it doesn't say anything, you slowly prospect and eventually get to the diamonds. In terms of balancing I'd say that you wouldn't be able to find diamonds with a base prospects pick. Maybe a diamond exclusive item or sold by a villager. Using enchantments to help it become more accurate or find higher tier ores. For starters a base prospect with no enchants might find iron but usually will only lead to coal. Posted: 04 Jun 2019 06:35 AM PDT Harvesting flint is one of the most annoying things in the game, as anyone who's spent all day filling their house with gravel, mining it, and replacing it can tell you. It doesn't add any challenge or depth to the game, just irritation. My suggestion would maintain the cost of flint-harvesting-- depleting your shovel-- but eliminate the irritation. Posted: 04 Jun 2019 10:06 AM PDT The sticky carpet would be made with one slime ball on top of a carpet. It would appear as a normal carpet but with green balls on top (like a sticky piston) and slow you down a little bit less than soul sand. This would be a great thing to troll friends or even protect your house! And would look great for decoration, at leas if you want dirty carpet in your new home. Credit to /u/JustCrits for randomly giving me this idea. [link] [comments]

New Crossbow Enchantment: Extinguisher Posted: 03 Jun 2019 07:33 PM PDT Let's be frank... the crossbow kinda sucks. Now yes, it is cool and has massive potential, and most importantly, you can reenact the days of double pump (it's just a joke please don't kill me). But really, when is it better than the bow? The bow is cool and all at first, but then the enchantments make it a downright nasty weapon to fight against. It is a long range weapon that can one-shot around half the mobs in the game. And that's not even accounting for flame damage! The bow is a very powerful weapon, and the crossbow just doesn't match up. Its enchantments (and the crossbow itself) are harder to get and weaker. So I propose an enchantment to make the crossbow more useful for something many players struggle with: the Nether. What is the enchantment? Well... Extinguishing is an enchantment that can go up to level IV, and makes the crossbow deal higher damage to fiery mobs. Now, this would mean that yes, ghasts and blazes would obviously be affected. But also, the Torcher from my previous suggestion would be counted as fiery. And also, this would affect anything a player sets ablaze. This could create a formidable ranged combo with flame. But, away from all that, here are the actual stats (sorry about bad formatting, I don't know how to edit those table things):
Also, for one last miscellaneous thing: shooting a campfire with an extinguishing crossbow extinguishes it. Just a cool little feature I thought would be useful for some specific contraptions or minigames. Anyway, can I get some feedback? You probably know how much I love feedback :DDD [link] [comments]
Purple fire instead of purple dust from the end dragon Posted: 03 Jun 2019 08:27 PM PDT It is very difficult for some computers to deal with a massive mob flying around shooting purple balls. It becomes much more difficult for lower RAM computers to try and update thousands of dust particles without the FPS dropping to 1 or 2, sometimes less. I've died many times in the dust after being trapped in it because I am unable to move my character out of it or dodge incoming ones. If we replace it with fire then you would have to punch out the fire with bottles to get the stuff for lingering potions. [link] [comments] |
