    IMGUR ALBUM!

Ash is made by smelting various items. Ash can be used as a weak fertilizer(about 1/4 the strength of bonemeal), to remove the color from any item, put out fires by right-clicking on them, protect beehives(if in the future, beehives become the target of other insects) and weaken lingering clouds. 9 Ashes can be crafted into an Ash Block, which acts as a storage block and obeys gravity. The following items can be smelted into Ash:

    • Stick
    • Rabbit's Foot
    • Rabbit's Hide
    • Phantom Membrane
    • Paper
    • Leather
    • Feather
    • Book
    • Banner Pattern
    • Any Dye
    • Written Book
    • Wheat
    • Arrow
    • Tipped Arrow
    • Any Cooked Food
    • Saddle
    • Leather Armor
    • Fishing Rod
    • Carrot on a Stick
    • Map
    • Enchanted Book
    • Dried Kelp
    • Crossbow
    • Bow
    • Coal
    • Charcoal
    • Bone
    • Bonemeal
    • Baked Potato
    • String
    • Painting
    • Item Frame
    • Armor Stand
    • Wool
    • Name Tag
    • Grass
    • Ferns
    • Flowers
    • Saplings
    • Sea Grass
    • Leather Horse Armor

When pets(dogs, cats, parrots, horses, donkeys, mules, skeleton horses, llamas, ETC) die, they drop "Pet's Ashes". Pet's Ashes look like normal ashes, but with an enchantment glint. Pet's Ashes are immune to cacti, lava, fire, ETC and take 10 minutes to despawn instead of 5.

Pet's Ashes can be placed in Flower Pots to memorialize your lost pet(the flower pot will have your pet's name hovering above it). Doing this gives you the advancement, "Sorry For Your Loss".

    Improving Leads

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 07:30 AM PDT

Leads are a fairly solid item, but they're often a bit of a hassle to work with. There's a few things that can be added to improve the functionality of these items:

    • Make them stronger, or at least introduce a more durable version of them: The number one issue with leads is that they break way too easily; if the lead so much as grazes a nearby tree, the animal breaks free. If you have issues with making standard leads too strong and too easily obtained, you could probably introduce a Chain Leash item, crafted by surrounding a lead with iron.

    • Make holding and breaking leads more noticable: Leads are hard to notice in the first-person point of view, which is the most popular of them all. Additionally, there's little indication of an animal breaking off of the lead. You could probably make the player hold a lead knot when they're holding a leashed animal, and add a sound effect for when a lead breaks (like a pop).

    • Make Leads dye-able: It's a nice visual detail, and can help players color-code which lead is attached to which animal.

Rename 1.15 to "Birds & the Bees" and implement not just bugs, but a variety of small animals

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 06:43 AM PDT

Some ideas for animals that could be featured:

Various common birds like jays, swallows, robins, etc. (can be killed for poultry and nests can be looted for rare items and eggs)

Eagles & hawks (attack small creatures, drop feathers, claws, and meat)

Corvids (steal food, but if fed by player will bring them shinies)

    Butterflies (propogates flowers)

Termites (I know Mojang is going to be implementing this)

Scorpions (attack and sting players when too close)

More suggestions in comments would be appreciated.

Edit: For clarification, I had been misinformed that the title had already been announced as "Bugs & Bees". Also, these are just ideas. This isn't a demand that's being made of the creators, just suggestions.

Wearing a Zombie Head makes Villagers run away

If they're afraid of Zombies then they should be afraid of Players who look like zombies and it would also give a new use to a next to useless block

    More lecterns!

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:46 AM PDT

i think the lectern should be used more in natural generation with books. Mojang focuses on adventure, right? well i think new players shouldn't have to look certain things like "how to make wither".

    Forest clearings.

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 07:33 AM PDT

Forest clearings would randomly be dotted around any type of forest. They would have increased flowers, sweet berry bushes, and mushrooms (etc) depending on the type of forest you're in. They could also have random masses of mossy or normal cobblestone in them.

Parrots should dance to different music discs differently too many the songs rythm.

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:04 PM PDT

This is a simple one, just change the birds dance speed when different songs play, also if either 11 or 13 is played the birds should look down in dispair. That's really all.

Brewing stands in block form - display the shape and colour of the potion in the stand.

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:29 PM PDT

1: The bottle will change SHAPE depending if it's a potion / splash potion / lingering potion.2: The bottle content colour will match the potion. (Green for jumping, maroon for strength, etc.)

I'd love to see this while the bottles are on the brewing stand - would make decorating super neat as well as seeing what's left on the brew stand much easier to identify. (As opposed to now where we must open the Brewing Stand HUD and hover over each potion.)

I'm now curious if/when the developers have commented on such a detail.

Thank you all for you time!

Once you get into the perimeters of a village, villagers will all crowd around you as if they're interested in who you are.

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:06 PM PDT

Not all will do this but most will. Particularly baby villagers whom are the most curious. This will not occur at night and will happen once it becomes day.

More of C418’s work in minecraft

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 02:09 PM PDT

An update on the soundtrack would be nice. You should be able to switch between the old and new soundtracks though. It would be interesting if you could be able to choose witch songs do you want to play in the background, or witch album from C418.

    New Structure

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 12:10 PM PDT

Ok, so here me out, a cave (varying in size) that spawns in extreme hills biomes in the side of a mountain. It houses one or two pillagers and loot randomly generates and can vary massively. There may also be something like a fletching table. Just an idea.

Add a Cooking Update with More Food Variety!

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 01:34 PM PDT

Cooking in Minecraft is okay – it works, but it's not very interesting. For the most part, you just go out and collect the things you need to make whatever you want to eat, and then you either cook it in a smoker or craft it.

This is pretty boring. It's essentially a two-step process with not much choice in terms of what you eat. In addition, nothing special happens when you eat almost anything, except for Popped Chorus Fruit and Suspicious Stew.

So I propose a few different additions:

    1. Make "Food Packs." These could be combinations of three or so different food items, and could be a good way to give yourself certain effects as well as mix other normally nonedible items with other foods for a variety of bonuses.
    2. Food-Exclusive bonuses. As an add-on to the last point, maybe if you combined a snowball with sweet berries it would give you a very short Frost Walker bonus? And also you could mix blaze powder with kelp to make a sort of wasabi, which you could mix with other items in your "Food Pack" for a speed bonus and a quick burst of three fire charges. There are lots of different neat possibilities!

So that's what I think could be in a cooking update. Hunger isn't that important in the game unless you're playing on hard mode, but food could give players new reasons to explore and experiment. I think it would be really fun trying to find all the different kinds of food!

    Wolfs/Dogs update suggestion

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 10:09 AM PDT

If you feed a dog cocoa beans or cookies, it should be poisoned like a parrot. The poison effect should last atleast 5 seconds. Because in real life chocolate is like poison to wolfs/dogs.

with the combat revamp supposedly coming we should get some more enemies and maybe bosses

my first idea for a boss for the woodland mansion who would keep chests locked and unbreakable until you kill it its attack patterns would consist of a mix of fast paced sword attacks and summoning illigers

Big Bad Bayou Update (Pt. 2)

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 09:04 AM PDT

This is the second half of my Big Bad Bayou Update idea where I talked about possible new plants and mechanics of swamps and a new biome called the Bayou which you can read here. https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/comments/cy13l5/big_bad_bayou_update_pt_1/

In this second half I will explain my ideas for 3 new animals, 2 new monsters and a mini boss mob The Witchdoctor. There will be allot of content to go over in this but it is all related to each other.

    New Swamp and Bayou Mobs

    Fireflies (Passive) (Swamp and Bayou)

A mob that spawns in swamps and bayous, the firefly is an insect mob that creates its own light that follows it. Fireflies can be caught with a bug net that is crafted with sticks and string. If caught, the firefly can be used to craft a firefly jar with one firefly and 4 glass panes. The firefly jar gives off the same light as a torch, jack-o-lantern, or redstone lamp. To be picked up, it must be broken with a tool with silk touch, otherwise the jar will break and the firefly will fly free again. If a firefly is killed, they drop nothing.

    Frogs (Passive) (Swamp and Bayou)

A mob that spawns in swamps and bayous. They will spawn on lily pads and will sit around. They will jump into the water and swim away from the player. If killed, they drop frog legs which can be cooked. They will give back the same hunger as a cooked fish. Frogs will attack and eat fireflies like how wolves attack sheep. If a frog eats a firefly, they will give off a small glow for a few minutes, making themselves a temporary light source.

    Alligator (Neutral) (Swamp and Bayou)

A mob that spawns in swamps and Bayous. The alligator is a neutral mob that will only attack if attacked first, if the player is at half health, goes in water after dark or gets too close to their eggs. The alligator will attack the player by biting onto them and dragging them underwater. The player can break free by hitting the alligator with any tool or weapon. When killed, it will drop alligator hide. Alligator hide can be crafted into wearable armor. It will offer a bit more protection and will last longer than regular leather armor. Alligator hide armor will have a green alligator skin pattern. Alligators will attack and kill frogs, fish and any animal thats in the water after dark. Alligators CAN be bred by feeding them any kind of meat or fish. Alligators will lay 2-4 eggs which will hatch after 7 days.

    Witchdoctor (Hostile/Mini Boss) (Bayou only)

Witchdoctors are a VERY rare, special, hostile mob that spawn inside witchdoctor shacks.

Witchdoctor shacks are houses that are made of oak wood, fence posts windows, and have a dock leading up to the front door. They overgrown with vines and moss and are decorated with firefly jars or jack-o-lanterns.

Witchdoctors are a type of illager with long dreadlock hair with beads and braids in it and white face paint to resemble a skull. Their clothing consists of a black shirt, black pants and a large red coat that's opened up to see the black clothing beneath. Witchdoctors have the same health as an iron golem and has very special abilities.

    Ability #1 Summon Swamp Zombies

The witch doctor will hold up his shrunken head to the sky and 3 swamp zombies will rise out of the ground.

Swamp Zombies are typical zombies that have no more health or damage but if hit by one, your vision will get more and more blocked by green smudges of algae. Swamp zombies are covered with mud, have grass growing out of different portions of their body have vines wrapping around their torso and have moss hanging off their arms. They drop the usual zombie drops plus plants found in swamps and bayous.

Ability #2 Summon Moss Skeletons (Melee and Archer)

The witch doctor will hold up his shrunken head to the sky and 3 Moss Skeletons will rise up out of the ground.

Moss Skeletons are the same size as wither skeletons and are completely covered in green plant material like moss, vines, algae and a lilypad on top of their head. Melle Moss Skeletons carry a large bone they use as a weapon. When the player is hit, the player will take serious knockback. Archer Moss Skeletons fire poison arrows that will infect the player with 5 seconds of poison damage. Melee Moss Skeletons drop bones and plants found in swamps and bayous, Archer Moss Skeletons drop bones, bows, poison tipped arrows and plants found in swamps and bayous.

After summoning his minions, the Witchdoctor will attack the player by throwing harmful potions. Poison, slowness, harming, and weakness.

When killed, the Witchdoctor will drop a very special item, the Shrunken Head. This item will summon helpful zombies and skeletons that will fight hostile mobs for you. They will not be stronger or weaker than usual undead mobs.

The Shrunken Head can be used to summon 4 random undead mobs by right clicking on the ground and will attack any hostile or neutral monster mobs nearby. The biome you summon them in will determine what kind they are. Zombies summoned in a dessert, will be husks. If summoned in a swamp, zombies will be swamp zombies, if summoned in water, they will be drowns, if summoned in any other biome, they will be regular zombies. Skeletons summoned in a tundra will be strays. If summoned in any other biome, they will be regular skeletons. Undead that you summon will have green sparkles around them indicating they work for you. Any undead that you summon won't drop anything when killed. The shrunken head does not work in The Nether or The End and the shrunken head can only be used 10 times.

When a player defeats a witchdoctor, they will earn the achievement "The Man With The Power" based on the song The Man With a Hex.

What do you all think? Should fireflies drop something? Should swamp zombies and moss skeletons spawn naturally? Could the shrunken head have a different power? Should the Witchdoctor drop something completely different? (HELPFUL) Feedback is always appreciated. If you're going to downvote this idea, please explain why.

    Mariana Trench biome/dimension

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 12:15 PM PDT

I would think of this Biome as you find a hole and it goes deep under ground/ bring you to a whole new dimension. It would have all types of giant aqua creatures like the kraken, megladon etc. jellyfish and angler fish would spawn to light it up. It would be pitch black where there is no light and would be basically impossible to be in if you didn't have any type of water breathing stuff. Could be like giant underground oceans to.

    End Door

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 06:46 AM PDT

    Crafting-

An End door would be crafted with 5 obsidian (in a C configuration) with an eye of ender in the empty slot. This would give you two end doors.

    Use-

An end door functions much like a portal, but it does not send you into a new dimension. It sends you to the end door that was crafted alongside it, acting much like a teleporter.

    Durability-

The End door would decrease in durability by 0.1% with every use. When the end door breaks, it drops 2 obsidian and an ender pearl.

In hard mode wolf should be hostile at night

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 08:51 AM PDT

I think it would be interesting if wild wolfs get hostile at night. I think it would give the game some intensity by roaming in the woods at night and all of a sudden you hear a growl and then you're under attack by a wild wolf! You can calm the angry wolf by throwing meat and bones at it to make it calm back down to its usual state and then you can tame it! Wolf act as normal during the day just like how spiders work essentially.

It would make spider farms with spawners a lot more enjoyable to make and give another reason to use ice. Simple as that.
