Minecart speed increases when gravel is put under rails

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 07:22 AM PDT

"Ballast" (a type of gravel) is used in railways to give stability to the tracks. The more stable the tracks are, the fastest a train can go, so why not applying this mechanic on Minecraft? And also gravel would win a new functionality.

When squids ink you, you get blindness for 3 seconds.

I just think this makes sense and can't believe it's already not in the game.

Ender Dragon automatically perches upon firing 5 fireballs

    Posted: 03 Sep 2019 09:51 PM PDT

    Small suggestion this time.

Regardless of how hard you find it, the fight with the Ender Dragon can get tedious, because during the fight it can just continue to fly around and terrorize you for an indefinitely long time (or it could be a short time, it's all just random chance).

So how about this suggestion? The Ender Dragon's perching would be a kind of time for it to "recharge" (I mean, it's probably not recharging energy with how hard it's flapping its wings).

Villagers should have an ocean biome skin

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 09:16 AM PDT

Like swamp and jungle villagers, villagers should have a naval/pirate-like skin for oceans. It would be nice for ship/underwater village builds.

    Village Settlers

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 12:57 PM PDT

Have an off chance that when a villager is born they are born as a Settler/Explorer that has the ability to roam like the wandering trader but can also start to build a new village once they travel away from their home village.

    Pillager in disguise

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 11:29 AM PDT

When your world villages generate, you get a mix of Villagers, and NitWits. However, I would like to propose a third option: a Pillager Assassin that looks like a regular villager. During the night, instead of finding a bed, he will seek out another Villager who is sleeping and attempt to kill them. If they are hit by a player, they will revert back to looking like a Pillager.

I'd say make it a small chance to happen, like one in every 5 villages might have one. They would not spawn by breeding, just like NitWits currently.

Single-use beds to be crafted "on the go"

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 03:00 PM PDT

The single-use "bed of leaves" (or whatever you want to call it) would be a 3x1x3 item. Using it for a whole night would let you sleep one night cycle, and set your spawn point (using then interrupting it wouldn't reset it). Once you wake up, the leaf bed degenerates into something else (crushed leaf block maybe?)

    Possible formulas:

3x3 leaf blocks of any kind (obtainable from shears), or

Some combination of leaf blocks and string, or

Some combination of leaf blocks and tree vines (which would become a mineable item itself, possibly by shears)

The boglands, a new biome for the nether

    Posted: 03 Sep 2019 10:24 PM PDT

The boglands would be a new biome in the nether, replacing some of the lava seas with massive amounts of soul sand, new soul sand variants, new type of fluid, bog water (I know water doesn't belong in the nether, but this stuff is more like watery tar than actual water), and a new mob.

The boglands would consist of 3 main types of soul sand:

    1. Soul sand.

    2. Soul stealer sand, which spawn in "patches" and damages the player and any non-undead mob on it. Soul stealer sand would have a single, large face pattern on it instead of three small ones, as well as being much darker in color. Death message would be, "so-and-so had their soul drained".

    3. Hardened soul sand, which spawns 3-4 blocks below soul sand. The player doesn't sink into hardened soul sand or become slowed by walking on it. This would be like the nether's version of sandstone, having other versions of it to match.

The bog water would spawn like rivers, small lakes, and even small oceans. Bog water will cause the player to start drowning immediately when fully submerged. Respiration will give the player 10 seconds of air. Bog water would have a similar texture to lava, but would instead be a very dark color, rivaling that of swamp biomes water.

Fossils have a rare chance to spawn in the rivers, small lakes, and small oceans.

Bog water will also have a new mob that spawns in it, bog sinkers (name pending), and will attempt to drag the player under the bog water. Death message from drowning by them would be, "so-and-so was dragged into the depths".

I would appreciate any feedback, constructive criticism, that could improve on this post

You can combine any item that has mending with a Bottle o' Enchanting in an anvil to repair it.

    Posted: 03 Sep 2019 04:31 PM PDT

Each bottle is 10 durability which is more beneficial than throwing the bottles.

EDIT: Having no cost to this is also a good idea now that I think about it.

Silk Touch can directly mine the Dragon Egg

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 02:25 AM PDT

To obtain the Dragon Egg you have to make it fall on a non-solid block (often a torch), as hitting it with a pickaxe or item makes it teleport away. However, since Silk Touch is capable of mining Turtle Eggs without breaking them, as well as a whole host of other feats, you should be able to mine the Dragon Egg directly without it teleporting using Silk Touch.

You can switch title screens in the settings

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 02:42 AM PDT

This feature would be nice in case some players like older title screens better than newer ones.

Some options could be:Oceans (the 1.13 Title Screen),Village (the 1.14 Title Screen),Plains (the Title Screen between 1.0.0 and 1.12) and Classic (the Pre-release dirt Title Screen)

You should be able to comission the item you want from wandering trader(and they would deliver it the next time they spawn)

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 02:58 PM PDT

    This would work this way:

Wandering Trader's trading screen would have "comission" button.

When you click it, you would see the list of all types of items Wandering Traders can sell. You can choose any type of item you would like to gave Trader "a comission". After it, nothing would happen until Trader despawns as usual... but when Trader spawns next time, one of the items he's selling with 100% probability would be an item you had asked him for.

To prevent abuse of Wandering Traders, you would be able to comission only one item at time and comission would be halted in the case of player killing the Trader.

Renaming items via an anvil should not cost XP (when not repairing or combining items)

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 04:02 AM PDT

This is only for items when you are NOT combining, or repairing, or using name tags. It just doesn't make much sense.

    Lava explosions in the Nether

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 01:07 AM PDT

Let's be honest, the Nether is old. It needs some updates. So here's my idea:

Lava explosions would be a random event that happens and and around lava and on land that has lava underneath. They would have orange particles which fly out of the lava 3 to 5 blocks and set things on fire, as well as dealing damage and making a wet sounding explosion sound effect. They would also spawn on blocks near lava, but would be a lot smaller and do less damage. They would only be able to penetrate weak blocks, so they would not be able to happen on netherrack.

They would be semi rare and not a thing to wipe players out completely, but to set the Nether as a scarier place (if that is possible for some players). They would also have a sound buildup that sounds like a deep rumbling to warn players to get out of where they are.

This, along with other updates to the Nether, will give it a much needed update to a crucial part of the game that seems a bit of a weak point. It would also add more danger to going near lava pools, making players want to seek refuge higher up and in fortresses.

Iron golums should take damage in water overtime

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 09:02 AM PDT

Iron golums should take damage overtime in the water. Because of iron rusting in water.

Let's say they take half a heart of damage every 30 sec.

    Enderman are terrified of bees

    Posted: 03 Sep 2019 06:29 PM PDT

This would be an interesting way to enderman proof a base or mob farm. Essentially, enderman won't teleport within 16 blocks of a hive that has at least one bee inhabiting it. Also, if a bee gets too close and they aren't attacking a player, they scream and run.

I wonder what ilmango would use this for...

    Pillager armor

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 03:20 AM PDT

So currently the only thing that pillagers give you are crossbows with low durability and some arrows. And sure you can get useful things from other illagers but I still think pillagers should have a more useful drop.

The pillager armor has 3 different pieces. Pillager tunic, leggings and boots. And each one has a 5% chance of being dropped with low durability. You can also find these items in pillager outposts with full durability. Giving players another reason to raid those things.

Pillager armor has the same defense points as chainmail armor.

If you use a full set of pillager armor the pillager detection range will be only 5 blocks. Allowing you to blend with the pillagers without them attacking you (yes they are dumb). But if you take of one of the pieces of armor they will become hostile again. The same happens if you loot a pillager outpost chest or hit one of the pillagers.

If you wear this armor villagers will run away and naturally generated golems will attack you.

    Combining Stand: A new item

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 04:02 PM PDT

    Crafting

It would be crafted with 2 brewing stands and one blaze powder.

    Usage

It would have the same UI as a regular brewing stand, but with 2 potion slots and one dust slot on top. The table would be used to combine two potions into one potion with 2 effects similar to the Turtle Master.

    Improvement of Minecraft’s progression

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 05:25 AM PDT

The end of Minecraft does not require much effort to get to.: You kill a few endermen, kill a few blazes, find the stronghold and boom. Done!

My suggestion would be to add a further dimension, add 2 new bosses, and rework the end portal.

    1. A new dimension that requires a few rare blocks from the nether to build its portal. This would maybe allow for implementation of a new boss (potentially the red dragon) that guards the items/ drops them.

    2. After the boss is beaten, the blocks/ items would be dropped, and the portal can be built and opened. (In the ow or in the nether)

    3. This new dimension could be anything. Sky islands? An Aether like realm? Possibilities are limitless, although I would prefer a binary opposite to the nether (sky realm). In this realm a boss would spawn (possibly: white dragon) in/ around a certain structure. Upon beating this boss a "certain item" is dropped.

    4. The new end portal requires this dropped item to activate.

    To summarise:

    • 2 new dragon bosses (the long awaited red dragon, and a white dragon).

    • A multi stage process to reach the end

    • A new "binary opposite" realm (with new mobs and structures)

The primary intent of this suggestion is to extend story, and incentivize progression. New bosses would provide a fun challenge, and notches promise of the red dragon would be delivered upon.

    The ARTS! (Please Read!!!)

    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 03:50 PM PDT

    Hello Mojang! (And Reddit 😀)

The Arts - Book Lore, Craftable Music Discs and Custom Paintings!

Among the many creative and imaginative tasks the average minecrafter has, one of the main focuses of the real world, "The Arts" is only somewhat prevalent in minecraft. We have Paintings, but we are limited to our use with them, as the only way we can create our own is with Recource Packs or Modifications, which cut millions of possibilities. We have books, however we generally do not use them, as books in minecraft are primarily for Enchanting and Villager Trading. We have Noteblocks and Music Discs, however we have no way of compiling one of our noteblock creations into a simple, easy to use music disc.

My point is, if Minecraft's main goal is to be an Endless Wave of Creativity, bringing the real world arts would help raise the possibilities even more.

Imagine having Pre-Made Short Stories in Minecraft that can be found in Dungeons or Strongholds, having Hidden Lore and Factual Info that any Collector would be Exhilarated to collect in a public library.

Imagine having a Museum of Custom Made Paintings that were Delicately Crafted with Good Real-World Understanding of Art.

Imagine having a public store of Custom Made Music Discs that took time, effort and passion, which anyone could listen to once put in a Jukebox.

Such features would bring Life to the Somewhat Useless Items of minecraft (Paintings, Books and Music Discs) and would raise creativity and ability to a Milestone never seen before in minecraft.

Thank you so much for considering my request.
