Braziers! (New Redstone/Decorational/Light Block; Images Included)

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 12:25 PM PDT

New light source blocks are always appreciated and the lantern was quite a win for builders. Braziers are a decoration that I've desired for some time, but with the upcoming introduction of Blue Fire, I think it would be great to give it some redstone functions as well! The Brazier could be lit either by hand or with a flaming arrow and would emit a redstone signal from a specific side, depending on which type of fire it contains. The left side would emit a signal if it contained normal fire, the right side if it contained blue fire, and the back side if it contained either types of fire. The block would be rotational, so that players wouldn't have to rearrange whole builds to utilize it. It could be crafted as shown here.

This could prove to be an excellent block for builders, map-makers, and redstone-users, and could perhaps lead to more ideas utilizing blue fire in the future!

If a named mob is killed, their ghost can appear occasionally during nighttime

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 01:52 PM PDT

-After a mob which was named with a name tag is killed, there is a minor chance than their ghost can show up during nighttime.(The probability of ghost appearing is similar to the probability of Witch or Enderman spawning in the Overworld)

-Ghost looks almost similar to the normal mob, and even displays its name above its model, but their texture is monochromatic.

-Ghosts are passive and cannot attack(even ghosts of hostile mobs). If they are hit or exposed to sunlight, they despawn immidiately. Dog ghost can be commanded to sit, and ghosts of animals still follow players holding their favorite food, but other than that, any interaction with ghosts is impossible. You cannot feed, leash or ride on ghost animals and trade with ghost villagers.

-Villagers are terrified of ghosts and run from them immediately, even if ghosts do not do anything to them.

    Let us place down books

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 01:27 AM PDT

It would be great if we could place individual books down, and maybe stack them on top of each other too. Placing a book around an enchanting table won't raise any enchantment levels. It would be really helpful as a decoration since currently they can only be kept in the inventory

Edit: no, not like Lecturns, you wouldn't be able to read books that you place down they'd just be on a block or whatever for decorative purposes

Bats occasionally spawn aboveground at night

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 11:05 AM PDT

They would spawn with about the same rate as endermen, so they're somewhat rare. This would be a nice bit of realism, since while many bats IRL do live in caves, they usually go outside at night to hunt insects. Maybe give bats aboveground a swooping animation as if they're catching a bug.

    Ender Manta/Ender Whale

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 06:48 AM PDT

PLEASE VOTE FOR THIS IDEA ON MINECRAFT FEEDBACK https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360050423932-Ender-Whale-Ender-Manta[Minecraft Feedback](https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360050423932-Ender-Whale-Ender-Manta)

Ender Mantas would be giant flying whale/ray-like creatures that roam the outer End Islands. I think they would fit well as the End needs more life, and they would fit right in with the End Ships.

As far as their functionality, they could be ridden (untamed) throughout the End as a means of traversing the islands. They would drop a Manta Pearl, which would be like an Ender Pearl, except it would keep flying in a straight line.

Just so you can have a visual representation, something like a Neebray Manta or Purrgil from Star Wars comes to mind.

Please share this post so it gets more attention!

Cricket sounds at night (For Bees + Bugs Update)

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 08:30 AM PDT

It'd be cool to hear the sounds of crickets to add some ambience during night time in Minecraft. It doesn't have to be a mob. They'll be usually heard at swamps or at very forested biomes.

    Frozen Hell Biome

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 12:05 PM PDT

With the new biomes presented during MineCon Live 2019, the nether is finally getting more biomes. This is cool and good, but I think it would be interesting if, in addition to this, there was a frozen nether biome. Basically like the nether, but colder, with some changes from the rest of the nether, such as maybe slower flowing lava and even water (with a half life or something to keep it balanced). This kind of plays off the "when hell freezes over" idiom, like how we have the "flying" pigs. I guess with these suggestions, it not quite frozen, but its certainly colder than the rest of the nether.

Make This Sub's Banner Using a Screenshot of the New Nether Biomes!

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 02:01 PM PDT

This would not only be a great looking change, but could even help build hype for the update!

Some examples of what are, in my opinion, great views of the new Nether biomes, and would make excellent backgrounds/banners, can be found here.

    Anybody for some creepy taxidermy?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 07:41 AM PDT

Mounted heads, full body in poses, like fox sleeping, polar bear head on wood mount. It would require a table and recipe items like wood and some sort of potions mixture etc. Could have a villager with the taxidermy skill that could make you a horse to show off armor. Or make creepy decorations for Halloween. In real life it's super eeewww but it would be kinda fun in game. I know it's not possible because it would require too much work to add a new skill for villagers and so forth and a drop item for each mob that could be converted through skill into an item. But l would love to have spiders and creepers to decorate with on Halloween or scare someone with lol.

Pigs, when struck by lightning, should transform into piglin beasts, not zombified piglins.

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 03:20 PM PDT

It makes more sense for a pig to mutate into a creature more like the pig than the zombified inteligent form of the same creature.

    Command Line-continuation with a Backlash

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 09:08 AM PDT

Taking a page out of Bash, the backslash (\) character at the end of a command marks a line continuation.

    Consider the following command:

    /give @a minecraft:written_book{tag:{author:"martyrboy",title:"announcement",pages:['[{"text":"Announcement\n\n","bold":true},{"selector":"@s","color":"reset"},{"text":", you are invited to join us at spawn for the unveiling of our new public chest shop. All attendees will get a "},{"text":"free","color":"gold"},{"text":" chest shop to get started selling and buying!","color":"reset"}]']}}

This command is over the chat character limit and cannot be used as is without a command block. With line-continuation, this command might look like:

    /give @a minecraft:written_book{\ >tag:{\ >author:"martyrboy",\ >title:"announcement",\ >pages:[\'[\ >{"text":"Announcement\n\n","bold":true},\ >{"selector":"@s","color":"reset"},\ >{"text":", you are invited to join us at spawn for the unveiling of our new public chest shop. All attendees will get a "},\ >{"text":"free","color":"gold"},\ >{"text":" chest shop to get started selling and buying!","color":"reset"}\ >]']}}

Ending a command line with \ would prompt for another line, signified with a > character that couldn't be deleted. Once a line without a trailing backslash is accepted, the full command would be run with all of the lines joined into a single line without the backslashes.

In .mcfunction files, this could also be useful, though perhaps moreso with a little adjustment: leading whitespace on a continued line is ignored. Take the following example:

    # Anti gravity elevator execute as @e\ run execute at @s\ if block ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:slime_block\ if block ~ ~-2 ~ minecraft:soul_sand\ run effect give @s minecraft:levitation 15 2

Totem of undying saves players from void damage

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 05:08 AM PDT

Maybe when you have a totem of undying and it activates when you fall in the void it can give you levitation for infinite time and the levitation stop when you hit ground and you have slow falling as well. It's gonna be really sad if you in hardcore and want to defeat the ender dragon and prepare very well only to be punted into the void by that bitch.

    Concept: Rainbow

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 06:15 AM PDT

Weather variety, something Minecraft doesn't have a lot of. We've got rain, lightning and snow outside the normal sunny days we get. So I thought, what about adding rainbows.

During rain there can be a 10% chance the sun will shine through and a rainbow will spawn. You can't mine it but it can be summoned like lightning. It stays there from sunrise to sunset before disappearing.

As a reward, there will be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The pot of gold is obtained by putting gold ingots and nuggets in a cauldron. This pot of gold will contain more gold than a crafted pot of gold and the player can even find diamonds, liseranite (see my previous post) and emeralds in this pot of gold (on rare occasions).

    Cavemen

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 08:27 AM PDT

Basically feral villagers that dwell in caves and dugout areas, should have a random aggression rate so some instant attack and some get curious and try to interact with the player. They should be a disheveled villager hunched over. They could have a couple random skins of different mob hides as their clothing and wield bone clubs (maybe crafted by three bones in a straight line? With damage better then a stone sword but less then an iron sword) or throw rocks ( a non craftable item that could be found at random when mining stone, that works like nuggets when multiple rocks are placed together in a crafting table you get stone which adds another method of getting stone that isn't a furnace) you could even see them make cave painting on the walls to add an extra element of interesting.

I feel like cavemen would give a new feature to caves that could spice things up a little.

Fire burns infinitely in the nether regardless of what block it's on.

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 10:33 AM PDT

Wood, wool, etc. would still burn away like normal, but otherwise fire in the nether would burn infinitely regardless of what block it was on.

Obvious exceptions being blocks that can't be lit on fire at all, like ice.

New Weather and Changes to Current Weather! ⛈

    Posted: 30 Sep 2019 06:59 PM PDT

After playing Minecraft for years now, I've noticed everything has really gotten a change except the weather. Here are some changes that I feel could be done to the current weather, making it feel more realistic and actually having an effect on the game instead of it being a useless feature. It would add more variance in the biomes and may make the player want to explore new areas.

Rain: When landing on the surface of water, it creates ripples that can be enabled and disabled in the settings. It could also have different strengths like a drizzle, an everyday shower or a strong rainstorm. Jungles would have a higher chance of rain than other biomes.

Lightning: Make lightning strikes change where some strikes land and some light up the clouds creating a couple seconds of light throughout the world. Thunder would have a delay instead of it being at the same time as lightning.

Snow: Currently, it leaves snow everywhere resulting in people not wanting to live or build in snowy biomes. A fix could be where snow drifts appear during snowy weather but while it is sunny, the snow drifts melt making it so the players don't have to remove the snow and letting them build freely without worry. Snow usually occurs at Y: 100 and above but a change to that could be where certain mountains naturally have snow and some have rain.

    -----------------------

Here are some new types of weather that I feel should be added and with these additions, it would make the biomes have more thought into them.

Fog: Would be adjustable in the settings. It would create a more difficult and scary experience in the game. Can occur at the same time as rain, snow or lighting but would be permanent in swamps. It also has a higher chance to occur in Roofed Forest and Mountain biomes.

Blizzards: Occurs in biomes with snow and reduces visibility. Being exposed to it for too long results in damage unless in shelter, cave or near light sources like torches and lava. Has a heat bar where the breath bar is that goes down the longer you are exposed to the cold.

Sandstorms: Deserts are a very plain but very common biome. Sandstorms would add more risk and danger to deserts. It would reduce visibility and shows sand particles blowing in a certain direction. Would not damage player or effect them other than reducing their visibility.

(Fun One) Mushroom Rain: Since Mushroom Islands are a fun and weird biome, I thought it would be fun to add a type of rain in mushroom biomes. It would act like normal rain but would be red and brown mushrooms falling instead. It would only have a 5% chance of occurring.

If you have any recommendations or ideas, let me know!

    More uses for bones

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 08:43 AM PDT

In my previous post I suggested the implementation of bone clubs, crafted by placing three bones in a straight line in the crafting table. This got me thinking that maybe bones could be used instead of sticks in low level tools which might make them be effected slightly different with either a slightly increased or decreased speed in comparison to their stick counterpart. You could also add a new "iron stick" which would just be three ingots to use for higher end tools to add more durability at the cost of extra resources. I think this would add a bit a huge diversity to the current tools with minor changes to the game as a whole.

    Balloons

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 03:26 PM PDT

A redstone balloon, which inflates in size upon receiving a signal.

Its size changes within 0 - 15 units, in linear proportions, to redstone signal strength.

The balloon starts off at the height of a half slab and the width of a single glass pane.

At full size, it is as thick as a whole block.

Naturally, the balloon's solid hitbox changes according to its size. This is its primary practical purpose for practical problems.

    Balloons can be dyed.

They can also be instantly popped using tools or weapons such as arrows. The balloon drops as an item upon popping.

Crafting recipe could use pufferfish as an ingredient.

    An official Minecraft Server

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 03:19 PM PDT

It is the first server on your multiplayer list. It has a creeper icon and functions like other servers such as Minecraft. It also has survival worlds with groups of people. You would have your own space for creative building in other biomes. There could be group builds, world templates, build competitions, and towns. Nvm, I'll do it myself and give an IP when ready.

    Nether Biome Concept: Quartz Quarry

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 07:16 AM PDT

This biome is pretty straight forward. It will house a bunch of quartz everywhere. I decided to concept this biome due to new biomes would make it harder to find quartz, so why not have a biome strictly for quartz? Im not saying having it EVERYWHERE but veins are way more common and veins could even be 2x the normal veins. This biome should be rare too to make it not too easy to get quartz. Piglins and zombified piglins should spawn here too. Soulsand and netherrack should make up the floor. What else?

    Introducing: Mining Shacks!

Mining shacks will contain little shacks in the nether made of red netherbrick. I chose red netherbrick because this would be the first that these blocks spawn naturally. The roof should be made of regular netherbrick stairs. The door should be iron with a button on each side. The loot inside? Netherquartz, iron or gold horse armor, saddle, iron, coal, and whatever else seems fitting. Nothing too crazy. Seems like a nice reason to explore if i do say.

Introducing: Quartz Brick Variants and Quartz Walls!

Just like stone bricks and stone brick walls, these are made from quartz blocks + quartz! Or maybe stonebricks + quartz? Who knows? Let me know which recipe seems fitting! Having a whote brick sounds decent for builders imo.

    Recap of this biome:

Large quartz veins, basic design, mining shacks with red netherbrick, loot, new quartz blocks!

This biome is pretty basic honestly. Nothing too crazy or fancy. Probably one of my simpler concepts honestly. If anyone has any other ideas for this biome, please do say in comments and ill either add it or adjust one of my concepts, and credit will be given to you for your idea.

    Crosshair for throwables in mcpe

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 05:18 AM PDT

Crosshair for throwable items in mcpe

This would probably get lost but atleast I tried XD

It would be great if crosshair is added when you throw eggs , snowballs, etc. It would make things way easier!!

Throwing enderpearls or snowballs was always a pain for me

please upvote so it might get noticed(and might get added as an actual feature)!! --->https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360018920891--Bedrock-Mobile-Add-aiming-crosshair-when-holding-any-throwable-item

Ik split controls is an option. But it would be cool if this gets added. Pvp and beating the game would be so much easier

A lot of ppl that ik prefers no split and we always wanted this to be a feature^ - ^
