If you have slept, phantoms summoned by other players appear transparent to you Posted: 07 May 2020 05:50 AM PDT When the phantom was released, Mojang gave a hint at their lore, saying that players who hadn't slept began to "see what was really there". Phantoms are always around, you just can't see them unless you're hallucinating. That said, I think Mojang should build onto this lore by making phantoms more transparent to and less aggressive towards players who have slept recently. This way, if your exhausted buddy attracts phantoms, you only see them as ghostly outlines, and they ignore you to focus on the more attractive target. As the night progresses, you'll start to see them more and more clearly, and when your torpidity reaches a certain point, they'll start attacking you as well. If you just slept, it will incredibly surreal to see someone being attacked by invisible enemies which you're too alert to detect. You might even see ghostly phantoms in in singleplayer the night before they will attack you, as a sort of warning. This will help new players make the sleep/phantoms connection faster. (I used to support a potion effect but now I don't think it needs to be that obvious- some things in the game should be more subtle.) EDIT: Optionally... if Mojang is interested in taking this lore even further, phantoms could exist almost on a different plane from the overworld. Players who can't see or hear them would also lose the ability to interact with them. Hitbox collisions with phantoms will be less noticeable to nonexistent if you've been sleeping well, and any damage you deal to them will be reduced. If they're completely invisible to you (and thus were spawned by another player), your attacks pass through them, so that you don't get confused when you try to break a block and get interrupted by an invisible creature. (These changes are a little more extreme and much less likely to be implemented. They're full of problems - what do you do about arrows, for instance? I'm just leaving them in as brain food for anyone interested in phantoms.) Thanks for reading! If they have water breathing, zombies don't convert to drowned and husks don't convert to zombies Posted: 07 May 2020 11:17 AM PDT It prevents mobs from drowning, so why wouldn't it stop them from turning? They should be immune to turning. [link] [comments] |
Foxes should think that white beds have snow on them Posted: 07 May 2020 12:12 AM PDT As the title says, when you put a fox into a room with a white bed it will go up to it and pounce on it as though it's trying to play in snow Inspiration: [link] [comments] |
Elytra and armor durabilities should be shown on the main HUD. Posted: 07 May 2020 07:21 AM PDT So the other day, I was out end busting, and as I was gliding over the void, my elytra broke. And while it was kind of my fault for not checking the durability before, all it made me think was how much different things would be if the durability was shown on the main HUD. Generally speaking, the way the exact durability is presented leaves a little to be desired. The only way to see it is to activate advanced tooltips, which also clutters the tooltip with information like the namespaced ID or NBT data, which is useless to the average player. But that's a discussion for another day. Back to the main HUD, the durability GUI wouldn't have to be obtrusive at (example). On top of this, it could be disabled by default, but I would definitely love to have this. And finally, while there are mods that do this, this is something that should be baked into vanilla by default. So what do you think? TL;DR - Armor and elytra durabilities should be shown on the HUD, kinda like this. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 May 2020 12:48 PM PDT It would help with corralling and walking off villagers. They run from zombies, so their heads should still instil fear. They should act exactly like hoglins with warped mushrooms, but replace the hoglin with the villager and the warped mushroom with the zombie head. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 May 2020 05:59 PM PDT I saw a post earlier for hanging sand and falling blocks on chains (I didnt really think it was a good idea imo) but one of the comments mentioned being able to hang monsters on chains. I saw that and I thought of something a little better. Rather than using a chain block to hold monsters... You could craft a lead together with a chain to make a "monster leash" or "chain lead" and it could be hooked to walls, fences, or chain blocks, (or some other special material). The chain would be a lead that works for monsters... BUT WOULD NOT WORK FOR PASSIVE MOBS. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DETAIL. Or... perhaps it could also work for passives too... but IRL chains are a kind of torture for animals usually, that wouldnt be sending a good message for a child friendly game. I feel like this could also be used as a unique special method for leashing a strider. Think about it, its a mob that walks on lava, I dont think a rope would be able to hold it down. Instead, I think a chain would work as a better method to hold down a Solid Rock Lava-Striding Mob. Give me your feedback, and Ill edit/add changes below that I think would go well with this idea: Feedback: [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 May 2020 03:52 PM PDT If you put nine gun powder in a crafting table you should be able to make a gun powder block which would be affected by gravity much like sand, but would explode from contact with fire or Redstone [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 May 2020 06:13 PM PDT As it stands now, the phantoms are just annoying mobs everybody hates. They add nothing to the game and often get stuck in blocks. They just spawn in next to a player that hasn't slept and begin attacking him while making obnoxious sounds. My suggestion is to rework their AI and change their spawning behavior. It would be much better if they spawned just like any hostile mob, but turned hostile only to the players that didn't sleep in a while or if attacked. Instead of trying to go through walls they should detect that the player is unreachable and just linger nearby until the player comes out. When attacking they shouldn't be flying in a straight line, and instead spiral down, so it's harder to hit them. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 May 2020 09:33 AM PDT I think xp should be show in the grindstone because if you need a specific amount of xp and have a chest of enchanted items you could choose the ones that give the most xp. It's a simple change but worth it just to know how much your getting. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 May 2020 09:57 AM PDT The Nether is now a unique place to live in Minecraft, but does not have nearly as much opportunity for decoration as the overworld. New flowers may also open new brewing opportunities.
Here's an image of the flower with my texture in-game: If you like this suggestion, please vote for it on the Feedback site here: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360062575932-Soul-Bloom-Image-Included- I am hopeful that this suggestion is considered. Posted: 07 May 2020 10:03 AM PDT So Turtle Master is for people who are stuck in a situation and fight right? Well, I don't think that's something I would like to do under certain circumstances. So for those who need to make a quick bolt... I present potion of cowardice! (Suggest a better name maybe) which gives speed IV, weakness IV and jump_boost II. Just add a fermented spider eye to a potion of turtle master and voila! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 May 2020 09:52 PM PDT When a single wolf sees a sheep, he will howl and this will cause the nearby wolves to come to him and attack the pack of sheep, the sheep might try to run away but the wolves are just too strong for it, after killing them the wolves get the raw mutton in their mouth (like foxes) and the sheeps just drop bones Edit: After hunting a pack of sheep , they can probably sit down near a tree and eat their muttons together, if a human interrupts their eating session, they will become hostile [link] [comments] |
New advancement: Insomniac, don’t sleep for 100 Minecraft days. Posted: 07 May 2020 03:48 PM PDT My proposal for a new achievement called insomniac. This would consist of not sleeping for 100 Minecraft days. This would be a good achievement because it actually requires patience, unlike some other advancements. This is just an idea and I'm sure you guys have good suggestions! [link] [comments] |

Please, please, make Blast Furnaces smelt bricks and clay faster! Posted: 07 May 2020 06:26 PM PDT Imagine you want to build a base using bricks. It doesn't sound so bad until you realize that it takes HOURS TO GET ANY REASONABLE AMOUNT! Blast furnaces should smelt Netherrack, clay balls, and clay Blocks faster then a regular furnace! Please! If people are going to complain that it "doesn't make sense", then add a kiln or something. I don't care, just let clay and bricks smelt faster somehow. [link] [comments] |
Rename "Forest" to "Oak Forest" Posted: 07 May 2020 10:52 AM PDT It wouldn't be that much of a change. All the other forests have certain names like crimson forest, rainforest (rip), warped forest, birch forest, and roofed forest, why shouldn't the oak forest? [link] [comments] |

The lodestone shouldn't be able to be blown up Posted: 07 May 2020 09:17 AM PDT enough said, it takes a netherite ingot to craft, and if ancient debris doesn't get blown up and neither does netherite, then why should the lodestone? [link] [comments] |
Background music stops when a music disk is played Posted: 06 May 2020 09:04 PM PDT Something that has always bothered me is the fact that when I put a music disk in a jukebox, I can still hear the background music. I would love the music to fade in and out as you put disks in and out of a jukebox. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 May 2020 11:48 AM PDT The minecraft world does little to make you feel as though it's a living world, where not everything is centered around the player. Naturally spawning Creeper craters could help immerse the player in a living world. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 May 2020 01:22 PM PDT Currently turtle eggs take a very long time to hatch. It would be nice if they hatched faster based on heat sources nearby. Things like torches wouldn't speed it up very much, but being near to glow stone or a redstone lamp would speed up the process a decent amount. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 May 2020 03:30 PM PDT Chameleons are a passive mob that spawns in jungles. They are the size of baby turtles, only being a little bigger. Chameleons can climb vines and spawn anywhere in jungles, not just on the ground. Chameleons slowly change colour to the block they stand on. Chameleons share AI with cats where they freeze when looked at and avoid the player when not looked at. Chameleons also run if the player gets too close. Chameleons can be tamed with apples, which means they can sit on the player's shoulder and also won't run from or avoid the player. While on the shoulder, the Chameleon doesn't change colour but will change to match chestplates worn, including dyed leather. Baby Chameleons don't exist. Chameleons drop Colour Scales, which are used to brew Invisibility ||. Invisibility || is the same as invisibility but without any particles. You get the advancement "Hidden Nature" for taming a Chameleon. [link] [comments] |
Efficiency should work on vines Posted: 07 May 2020 04:19 PM PDT So, getting vines is painfull. Even with efficiency 5 on your shears, it takes the same amount of time as it would with the enchantment. Please make it work on vines. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 May 2020 05:35 AM PDT Essentially just the Nether-Fantasy version of Manta Rays and Phantoms. Appearance Similar to a phantom but with more of a resemblance to actual Manta Rays. They'd be a deep crimson red colour with glowing yellow eyes and leave lava/fire flares (particle) behind them. Spawning They usually spawn in groups of 1-3 and only in lava oceans; they'd be uncommon but not too rare. Behaviour These flying beasts are hostile with an aggro range of 24 blocks and have a similar attack pattern of the phantoms. They do not attack striders unless you're riding on one. They can pursue you into the forests but will die if they enter the soul sand biomes. Stats Health: 12 Hearts Damage (Hardmode): 8 hearts Drops 6 XP orbs A new type of membrane. This new item can be used in a brewing stand as the nether version of Redstone. If I am correct, there isn't any way of obtaining Redstone in the Nether so this would be perfect. (NOTE: It can't be used for redstone mechanics. ONLY brewing). This new item would also have to be lava proof for pretty obvious reasons. I know this mob (or something similar) isn't going to be added anytime soon because the Nether Update is pretty much done. But I do think it'll make for a good addition sometime in the future because with the introduction of Striders, the lava oceans don't really feel dangerous anymore. [link] [comments] |
