Carrot on a Stick's durability should work the same way as Warped Fungus on a Stick Posted: 03 Jun 2020 05:32 AM PDT Even though both are basically the same item(except that works for different mobs), both work totally different when related to durability: •Warped Fungus on a Stick has 100 durability and only consumes 1 durability point by usage, Carrot on a Stick on the other side has 25 durability and consumes 7 durability by each usage. So would be interesting to see Carrot on a Stick working the same way as the Warpee Fungus one, and would add consistency between the items. Pigs aren't as effective or fast as a Horse and you need a Saddle for both anyways so... Why not? Would be a comically alternative even though more risky, but if a player wants to travel the World dashing on a Pig... Then let they do it! [link] [comments] |
Warped And Crimson Nylium Paths Posted: 03 Jun 2020 07:38 AM PDT In Minecraft's new nether update we received a type of grass if that even is what it is but both warped and crimson nylium would look really cool and unique with a path version like the grass path but instead the nylium paths that makes nether builds a whole lot for fun and unique to work with. Similar to grass paths with a shade of stripped oak on grass nylium paths would look similar to their stripped wood counterparts and have a light shaded texture for pathways [link] [comments] |
Make Piglin Snout banner generate in the Bastions Remnants. Posted: 03 Jun 2020 10:27 AM PDT They would be all over the bastions decorating the structures, on the entrances, on top of the chests, on the treasure rooms, I think this would fit really nicely, and would give some consistency as well when considering the Illager Banners back on the overworld! Unlike the banners on the Pillager Outposts that have each their unique place, on the Bastions, they would just be all over the place, one here, another there, to fit that "messy" and "remnant" feel the Bastions have. As for their colors, the banner would be black and the snout would be white, that would fit nicely with the blackstone and basalt blocks that compose the structure. Give me your opinions and suggestions! I might send it to the feedback site if a lot of people like it :) [link] [comments] |
If you give a piglin an Emerald, they get angry and throw it back at you. Posted: 03 Jun 2020 09:27 AM PDT This would be a friendly reminder that that's not the currency they use, the piglins would see emeralds as an inferior currency [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Jun 2020 08:54 PM PDT I had 2 of my dogs die in 5 seconds from walking off of a drop. There is also no way to cancel their aggression except sitting them down for five minutes. They follow the player and attack very inconsistently. I never bring my dogs mining or to raids or exploring because they die too easily. EDIT: And ifI accidentally hit my friend, they all attack him. I think it should be if he attacks me or if I hit him twice [link] [comments] |
If you throw a stick, tamed dogs should go and fetch it Posted: 03 Jun 2020 09:59 AM PDT Pretty straight forward, it would be a nice way to have fun with your dog. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2020 10:46 AM PDT It would be really useful in building things i suppose, since it can be used to build interiors. I think it would require yellow dye + white dye + brown dye to make 3 beige dye. Maybe the beige terracotta block would be a lot lighter than the regular beige blocks like concrete and wool [link] [comments] |

Potions of Fire Resistance should prevent you from catching on fire. Posted: 03 Jun 2020 12:51 PM PDT As it stand, fire prot potions prevent you from taking damage from fire or lava, but there's still fire over your player. This means that your view is slightly obscured and if you swim in lava during the last few seconds of the potion you still take a bit of fire damage. Since you don't take any damage anyways, I think you shouldn't be able to catch fire in the lava. This would increase visibility and generally be less annoying. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2020 03:11 PM PDT The Boneyard which is a structure that generated in a mega tiaga biome. This structure has loot and skeleton spawners scattered around the area. The loot varies from iron tools gold and enchanted items. There are some ore deposits scattered around as well. Maybe there can even be a new mob similar to the iron golem in strength that will toss you out or even kill you if you enter the structure at day. This will make so that you have to fight through The Boneyard at night. Let me know what you think! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2020 01:33 PM PDT There should be glass doors, they would be asthetically pleasing. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2020 01:52 PM PDT I dont know if this has been suggested but a mesa desert temple would be a nice addition [link] [comments] |
Curse idea: Curse of Dimension Lock Posted: 03 Jun 2020 02:21 PM PDT This curse would make an item impossible to take into other dimensions from where it started. If you try to go through a portal, it pops out of your inventory. It also can't be placed in Ender Chests. This curse would primarily spawn on loot in the Nether or the End. [link] [comments] |
Eating while submerged in water causes nausea. Posted: 03 Jun 2020 09:18 AM PDT I know, it could be tedious, but it just makes sense. Eating something while being submerged in water (even partially, at the level of the "belly") should cause the nausea effect to appear. Also, the nausea effect's duration should be based on the hunger the food eaten restores, and the effect's level should be based on the saturation the food gives. [link] [comments] |
Fence Gates Should be Available to Water-log Posted: 03 Jun 2020 03:07 PM PDT I feel like this one is obvious, I mean walls, fences, iron bars, slabs, stairs, the list goes on, and yet fence gates are overlooked? Well, perhaps as a "miscellaneous fix", fence gates could be implemented as a feature in the new 1.16 update. Also as a side note, perhaps End Rods should also get the same treatment as fence gates along with lanterns and torches that when placed underwater would be extinguished unless relit or replaced, similar to campfires. Rainbow cape for all users on June 28th Posted: 03 Jun 2020 12:18 PM PDT It'd be amazing to show support for the LGBT community by giving all users a rainbow (flag) cape on June 28th, the day the stonewall protests took place which started the Pride movement. This would validate many LGBT youths alike and tell them that they're validated in their sexuality, and also who wouldn't want a sweet cape for a day? Thanks for listening! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2020 10:27 AM PDT Even after the update aquatic, I've always felt that Minecraft lacks aquatic animals in certain regions. Yes, we have different kinds of fish in different regions, but it still felt somewhat bland. After all, the only aquatic creatures the update actually added were dolphins and turtles. This was actually going to be an electric eel suggestion, but after doing a search that's been suggested quite a few times and mostly with the same mechanics. Hopefully nobody's suggested this before (other than me, who half assed this suggestion a small while ago, but now I've thought a little through this suggestion, and feel it's not too bad as a small mechanic in the game). Anyways, here's my pitch: Lungfish are a passive mob that spawn in rivers and ponds in swamps, jungles, savannahs and deserts only in blocks which are not directly exposed, making a naturally spawned lungfish rather rare. They have 10 hitpoints (5 hearts) of health, are 2 blocks long, and are 0.25 blocks tall and wide. They swim slowly, perhaps slightly faster than a player walking in water without depth strider, and have a miserable 1% chance to drop 1 piece of lungfish meat when killed. Cooked lungfish meat restores 12 whole hunger points (6 hunger bars) and a ridiculously high 13 saturation points, making them a very good food source. They come in different colors and variations; those spawning in deserts and savannahs come in spotted and marbled variations, while those in swamps and jungles come in dark brown and yellow spotted variations. Here are some image/video references, along with the variation name in-game: Spotted (West African): https://alchetron.com/West-African-lungfish Marbled (Marbled African): https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marbled_lungfish (second picture) Dark Brown (Olive South American) https://youtu.be/O7MddYCxpqs Yellow Spotted (Grey South American): https://bluegrassaquatics.com/south-american-lungfish-regular.html I would imagine the mechanics and coding behind this would be similar to that of tropical fish, although it may be slightly more complicated if the Developers were to include the biome aspect. Additionally, they also have a behavioral aspect: Lungfish in water will attack all other species of fish that swim within a 2 block radius of it excluding pufferfish. That's pretty much it. This would be similar to the fox, but with a smaller radius and a more simple animation of the lungfish just turning and attacking it's target. Oh and I forgot to mention, they can be caught in buckets, which should not be a problem since they're so slow. And one more thing, despite being fish, they don't suffocate on land; I'll get to what happens to them on land later. Now with that out of the way, let's get to the interesting part. In the biomes mentioned above, Lungfish can be found outside of the water: in lungfish cocoons. These have a 3% chance to drop from dirt, sand, clay or gravel mined at any level. This means that you could be stripmining for diamonds and come across one of these. The thing is that the block will only drop cocoons if they haven't been mined before (which I do believe can be done by checking the block data values), so you can't make a cocoon farm (though I'm sure people will eventually find out how to exploit this somehow if it gets implemented). When crafting 4 cocoons together in a crafting table or the 2x2 inventory slot alone, they can make 1 slimeball, and when smelted in a furnace, they produce cooked lungfish. The point of this is to give travellers who run out of food a food source that is although somewhat unreliable, can help prevent starving. Anyways, when you place this cocoon down as a block, it exists as such and nothing happens. You have to mine it with a silk touch pickaxe once it's been placed though, so be careful! If placed in water, however, the cocoon springs back to life; it begins to crack and the lungfish reemerges from its shell, behaving as normal. Likewise, when a moving lungfish is on land, it slowly cocoons up with a set of animations that takes 4 seconds, before ending up as a cocoon block. That's pretty much all I have to say for this suggestion. One thing I like about this is that it introduces a way for people mining without adequate food to obtain a food source. However, this may take up a lot of time to develop and may take up space or be too demanding for weaker computers. After all, I do hope you could leave feedback in the comments. Thanks for suffering through my wall of text and have a great day! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2020 02:59 PM PDT Archived Suggestions #2: Albino pumpkins are a variant of a pumpkin. When a pumpkin is created from farming, there will be a 1% chance that the pumpkin will be an albino. They can also be used for their own form of jack'o'lantern as well as being able to be used for pumpkin pie. It could have its own variant of a pumpkin seed to make things easier for players who wish to use a lot of albino pumpkins. Posted: 02 Jun 2020 07:23 PM PDT I like the idea of the sword and the axe both being combat tools, and I thought this could be a neat thing the axe could have over the sword I would make it an enchantment, maybe a treasure enchantment, let's call it 'lobbing' with 2 levels. Lobbing I let's you throw an axe by holding right click for 2-3 seconds, and you can throw it 10 blocks with a little bit of inaccuracy. Lobbing II slightly decreases throw time, and will increase the distance and accuracy. I also think loyalty could work, but idk If the axe hits a mob/entity/ not a block, it will fall until it hits a block, and will then lay on the floor similarly to how tridents do. A thrown axe will fall if it hits a non wood block, otherwise it will embed itself, again similarly to thrown tridents. I know this steps on the tridents toes a bit, but I think the tridents and axe both needs buffs, and this idea just came to mind randomly and I thought it was cool. (Excuse any errors I wrote this on mobile in a bumpy car) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2020 08:15 AM PDT This would be a balanced addition and allow for nether farming I made some concept texture on how it would look. The light level is what it is supposed to be based on other items and wearing it would be the solution for surviving ghasts in the soul sand valley, and Finally, I think melons are a suitable nether food because they are one of the worst food items in the game so they would not make the nether that much easier especially with the only way to find them is going into the most dangerous biome in the game. Concept images (the bulk of this post so please read) https://imgur.com/a/Qykd0ao feedback post: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360067875072-Ghast-Melons [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Jun 2020 06:12 PM PDT I think owls would be a great addition to the game. This is just a loose idea right now so feel free to add suggestions or criticisms! Background: -Can be found in most biomes (would be cool if there were different colours for biome-specific owls like brown, white, etc.) -Spawns infrequently (too many owls would just be weird lol) Behaviour: -Passive -Shy/Hard to approach without seeds (similar to how ocelots used to be tamed into cats with fish) -Tamed and bred with seeds (not sure what kind at the moment) -Occasionally "Hoo's" when monsters are nearby (doesn't scare them off though, only acts as an alert that monsters are nearby which would be a cool mechanic in itself) -When untamed: sleeps during the day unless approached (flys away unless player is still and has seeds). Awake and active during the night -When tamed: follows the player or remains in place like most tamed pets Other: -6 health points (3 hearts, same as parrot) -Drops feathers when killed (1-3?) -Dances to music like parrots EDITS [ongoing] -More health points than 6 (maybe 8-10?) -Owls are predators so maybe a small rodent mob (mouse, rat, or shrew) should be added as well to tame them with or rabbits and/or fish could possibly work too? Posted: 03 Jun 2020 02:14 AM PDT -Hit points: 8 -Spawn rates Very low -Spawn locations Pretty much everywhere but underground areas. If it isn't too much of a hassle, also make different variations for different biomes -Drops: Feathers (1-3) Bones Bonemeal -Behavior They keep their distance if you approach them without food. They will not attack unless you hurt them, same deal if you come too close to their nest (if they have one). They are active and spawn during the night and are seldom seen during the day. They are hostile towards rabbits and chickens. Tamed owls will make a distinct/frequent sound to warn of monsters nearby -Other To balance out how useful they are, long range enemies will shoot at them if they are not occupied by anything else. -New items that would come with this mob: Cage: A cage can be placed in the world and can hold a tamed owl if you don't want them going anywhere (Another use in the tamed section, too) To get an owl into a cage, you right click them with it in your hand. if you want to release them, place it down and right click it to open it. It is 1.5 blocks tall. Nests: Will turn into sticks if you break it without silk touch. You also might get things like feathers and saplings. If it is claimed, it will also contain eggs. You cannot craft nests. Nests can be placed in the world or used as furnace fuel. If you place it out of range of a tamed owl's territory chances are it will be claimed and guarded by a wild one. Claimed nests have eggs in them, there is a visual difference between claimed and non claimed nests. It is .5 blocks tall. -Taming A tamed owl should be closer to a tamed ocelot. It trusts you but really isn't your pet, it wont follow you or sit on command. Which is also how real owls owned by humans act. They can be tamed with raw rabbit, chicken, or rotten flesh In exchange for them not following or sitting like a traditional pet, they should hang around where you tame them (Roughly an 80 block radius). If they go out at night, they return during the day, and overall generally stay around that area. If you want to move their home point, lure them with raw rabbit, chicken, or rotten flesh (Only tamed owls can be lured) and feed them where you want their new home point to be. To make them stand out among other pets- here are two potential uses for them: In multiplayer, if you give a tamed owl raw chicken, rabbit, or rotten flesh after giving them any object renamed to the name of someone in that server, it will send it to that player and will return once it's done. This is a reference to Harry potter, an overall cool mechanic and great way to give supplies to friends when you yourself cant get to them quickly. The second idea involves the new block/object- Cage. A caged owl will be useful for travelers. If you want to go on an expedition, break the cage with the owl in it and keep the caged owl in your inventory. When you're done exploring, place the cage down and open it. The owl will guide you back to its home point. This is a great way to find your base (If you set your owl's home point to your base), or bases (if you have multiple owls) if you get lost without having to use maps, dirt poles or compasses. Thank you for reading this, feel free to add on to this idea in the comments! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2020 08:51 AM PDT I saw another post where they said that if you named a wandering trader, you may see it again. I wanted to add to it and say that if you were to buy all items from the trader, it would have a chance of becoming a "friend". Similarly to taming dogs or cats, if you save it from zombies a couple times it will show, instead of hearts, keys symbolizing trust above its head. Then, it will come with you wherever you go, disappearing occasionally for a couple days at a time, because it still needs to trade for money. The trader would give you better trade deals. It also would have a chance of breeding with another trader or a villager, in which case the mate and child would also have friend status. You can only have three friends at a time. You also need a shelter built for the trader. This would be just a building with a door and bed and a fence post outside. This will keep the trader safe and let them sleep. The fence is for the llamas to be attached to. When you befriend the trader, you will get an object named with the trader's naturally generated name and the object (ex: Bob's Gold Block) to get the trader to use it's new house, the block must be somewhere in the house. They can share a house with you if you have enough beds. Anyway, that's all I can think of. I just think it would make Minecraft have a bit more of a personal touch and discourage people from just killing traders for leads. Please suggest things. [link] [comments] |
