| Posted: 04 Jun 2020 10:27 AM PDT LoopyMC is a 1-week old Hermitcraft-inspired [PvE] server that places a heavy emphasis on economy management. Why we're different from all the other Hermitcraft/SMP/Semi-vanilla/Survival servers: Despite being a rather new server, we plan on running LoopyMC for the long term, which means you won't have to worry about the server shutting down after a month of playing. We've also been growing considerably well for a fresh server. Our average player count is 5-6 while during peak hours we hit 9-10. Our diverse community of both US and EU located players allows the server to have at least a couple players online at any time of the day. The staff team is very dedicated and will address suggestions and concerns immediately after seeing them. Our biggest differentiating factor is probably our economy. We have a unique in-game currency that players use to buy/sell items from one another. We realized on a Hermitcraft-esque server, eventually materials and resources become plentiful, and that it would be damaging to an economy if the primary currency was backed off of one of these resources. Therefore, we have our own currency that is not vulnerable to overnight inflation. Our current Java server started April 4, 2019 in 1.13.2, and is currently based out of Chicago, IL in the US. We're a Vanilla SMP, on Hard difficulty, with a current world border set at 17k. Currently we are running in 1.15.2 and updating alongside stable releases. This will continue with the release of 1.16, however we will be resetting the nether and building all future nether hubs and portals on the nether roof. Our community consists primarily of players between the age of 25-40, all of whom have consistent play schedules. Although it is not a requirement, we are frequently in voice chat socializing with each other. This is regardless of if we are working on a server project, doing our own Minecraft projects, or just looking to chat with friends. The game has changed so much, and the old communities I played on have been long dead. In an effort to bring back the old days, I created NostaligaCraft. NostalgiaCraft is a 1.15.2 server with lots of plugins heavily altering the gameplay. These plugins consist of BanItem, FastFoodPlus, and OldCombatMechanics. BanItem bans any item from beyond version Alpha 1.2.6. FastFoodPlus gets rid of hunger and allows you to heal your health with food. OldCombatMechanics brings back old quick PvP. I also went ahead and added a land claim plugin to prevent griefing one another, with a shop plugin in the works. The map is 142x142 chunks of Alpha generated Minecraft which I meticulously had to transfer through each version. This limits the resources on the server, leaving the economy to be run by the players as ores and the such are indeed limited. Once shops release, I have no plans of making an admin controlled spawn shop, as I want to prevent as much admin interference as I can. As always, be polite to one another. We want to keep things as close to the vanilla survival experience as possible; there are no world borders, so you can explore as much as you want; there is no land claiming, so the whole world can be yours for the taking. We want you to have the freedom to survive however you wish. No silly rules and overzealous, power-tripping admins. As long as you're cool, we're cool. We want the server to run as smoothly as possible, we use very few plugins and have optimized the server for perfect performance without making any changes to gameplay. We originally started in 2015 and have recently returned in 2020; if you are looking for a fresh start, you've just found it. Nice and simple. Basic Rules:

| MinecraftHK [Semi-vanilla][Creative] Posted: 04 Jun 2020 02:25 AM PDT MinecraftHK is a Minecraft server that commemorates Hong Kong and its pro-democracy movement. Hong Kong has become a beacon of democracy with many protesters of different backgrounds coming together to fight for freedom. With recent legislation, Hong Kong is about to lose its democracy and with it, freedom of speech and expression. We created Minecraft HK to preserve democratic ideas and experiences of the brave freedom fighters. The server's map is a replica of Hong Kong and we hope to turn it into an interactive museum of democracy as well as a place where like-minded Hong Kongers and international supporters can gather. Although, physical freedom of protest and assembly may be limited soon, one of Hong Kong's strengths is adapting and we hope that technology can bridge the obstacles that the city faces. We're making our server public today to commemorate 8964 (Tiananmen Square Massacre), and we are looking for builders and players alike to join our efforts.
