More Piglin Events (please read before voting)

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 08:03 AM PDT

Unlike Villagers, Piglins seem to just lurk around bastions and do nothing. So my idea is to add more things so that they seem more alive.

    1- Dinner

All piglins gather together and share the hoglin food they have been hunting.

    2- Rest

Randomly, some piglins just sit on the floor and admire their stuff (armor, weapons). They would generally gather together in bastion rooms

    3- Expedition

A group of piglins goes out of the bastion, following a path to a group of hoglin to chase them, or to kill some wither skeletons if a nether fortress is nearby.

    4- Feast

All the piglins dance together (rare)

    5- Sharing

Piglins share their stuff or exchange them

You should be able to use the new chain block to link up minecarts together.

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:59 PM PDT

Although not many people use minecarts nowadays, one problem that exists is that when there are multiple minecarts going down the same rail, they may bump into each other, sending one minecart in the opposite direction. Now, if you could use the new chain block to link your minecarts together, you would be able to stop this. The newly connected minecarts would act as one entity, so they wouldn't separate. For example, this would be useful if you're traveling alongside a Minecart chest with your valuables inside it. This would ensure that it wouldn't bump into your minecart by accident and then get sent back in the opposite direction.

    Shared fear

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:49 AM PDT

It works exactly like shared anger-if you killed or attacked an animal they all try and run (breaking the leads you have them on if you do) and losing your trail if you are baiting them.

Redstone Lights that give a light level based off the sognal strength

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 04:42 PM PDT

Earlier I made a sewer that people seemed to enjoy but the biggest complaint was about it being to bright for a sewer. This is why I propose either adding a new block or modifying the old redstone light to give off a light level according to the signal strength it receives. This should be pretty straight forward because both redstone strength and light level go up to 15

    A Bucket Enchantment

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 12:04 PM PDT

Yeah, thats right. It's not a typo

    a bucket enchantment

This enchantment would be called something like "Possessive Metal" or "Retention" and would allow you to place water in the nether. Since the nether is still a very powerful place, I think eventually the water should evaporate no matter what, but this would be useful for things like mlg water bucket-ing down nether fortresses, or putting out fire in an area, or keeping blazes away from you for a couple seconds.

Each level (max 5) would allow for one more second of water retention, starting off on level 1 with 3 seconds (so 8 seconds maximum)

This enchantment would be found in the nether fortress, and extremely rarely in temples/strongholds.

no villagers would be able to trade for it, and wandering traders might if they get an update that allows them to trade for enchantments.

    Changes to the Vex

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 12:50 PM PDT

The Vex is a forgotten mob seen by few. This is disappointing as it has so much potential, so I suggest some changes to the Vex.

First, rename Vexes summoned by Evokers to Angered Vex. This will make sense soon. (None of the following suggestions will apply to Angered Vexes).

Vexes will now spawn in Soul Sand Vallies and rarely in Basalt Deltas. They are now neutral mobs and no longer carry swords. They will follow the player in small numbers, watching the player curiously. They sometimes attempt to scare the player, making loud sounds. This does not hurt the player or otherwise harm them. If hit, a Vex will call its fellow Vexes and attack the player, doing small amounts of damage as they no longer have swords. If the player kills enough Vexes, they will be scared of the player for a short while, before returning to their docile state.

    Iron Roses

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 10:12 AM PDT

Iron Roses are a special type of flower. They can be crafted with four iron blocks around either a poppy or dandelion. Iron Flowers also have a very rare chance of generating in place of flowers that generate in villages and woodland mansions, including ones in flower pots. Iron Roses can be placed in flowers and for blocks instead of the blocks flowers can be placed on, they can be placed on the blocks wither roses can be placed on. Iron Roses can be traded for a high emerald price, but they're never sold by villagers. Iron Roses can also be given to a iron golems to make them act like player made iron golems, they'll never attack the player. Iron Roses can heal iron golems like ingots and heal more than ingots. Giving a village iron golem an Iron Rose also clears the player of all bad popularity if they have a bad reputation and raises their reputation if they have a good or neutral one. In appearance, Iron Roses look like what the rose looked like, however it is white instead of red, light gray instead of maroon and green, and tan/beige instead of lime.

    Fallback Beds

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 11:26 AM PDT

Say you have two beds, Bed A and Bed B. A player decides to build their base thousands of blocks from spawn, as they can't find a good spot to build a base, or is playing on a server where griefing is allowed. While traveling, they sleep in Bed A to set their spawnpoint, as they don't want to get sent all the way back to spawn if they die. Eventually they reach their destination and set down Bed B. However, they don't leave enough spaces open near the bed, and when they die, they get sent all the way back to spawn and are forced to walk all the way back to their base. However, with my idea, instead of being sent back to spawn, the game searches through all the beds they have ever slept in and instead respawns him in the latest one that isn't "missing or obstructed", or in our case, Bed A, meaning instead of the player having to run back to his base from spawn, he only has to run the distance between his base and Bed A.

TL;DR: If you sleep in two beds and the second one is missing or obstructed, you respawn in the first one instead of being sent back to spawn.

    Random menu backgrounds

Evokers should lose the ability to spawn vexes after walking on soul sand

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 09:56 AM PDT

Considering that it pulls souls down into it and vexes are basically souls, I feel like this would just make sense. On the other hand you could also argue that the evoker would get stronger after absorbing the souls stored in the sand. Either way it would be a neat addition.

You should be able to add banners to carpets to make them patterned.

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:26 PM PDT

I've always thought carpets were a bit of a joke. Their uses are in farms and parkour and things; I don't think I've ever really seen carpets used for decoration. However, if you could add banners to those carpets, then we might be cooking with gas. In a loom or some table, you should be able to enter carpet into one of two slots: One for the bottom half, one for the top. There would also be a slot for the banner. This would then pattern the carpet into what the banner was. I don't know if this has been done before, and doesn't count towards the FPS list (it comes close to one of the items) but I think it's a cool idea.

    Maple tree

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 02:28 PM PDT

The maple tree could be a slightly rare tree found throughout the overworld. They can be shaped the way large oaks are or the way plain dark oaks are. They will introduce maple wood. These trees typically spawn in plains biomes but may also spawn in forests. They introduce a new liquid, maple syrup, which you can collect from the tree. To do this, you will have to craft a spile (I don't know what its recipe would be). You can place the spile on either a maple or birch tree. (Birch trees do that lol). To harvest syrup you can attach a bucket or glass bottle to the spile. Over time it will fill up. (Longer for the bucket.) You can drink the syrup to give you a small haste effect (from the sugar) and it will wear away after 1 minute. It restores some hunger, too. You can put 9 bottles of it in a crafting table and create a syrup block. It is like a slime block but it will slow you down more but bounce much less.

    Mystical cliffs biome

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:35 PM PDT

If you know a bit about Chinese culture like I do (I have been taught a bit of Mandarin Chinese), you probably know China has lots of interesting things: delicious food, an interesting history and of course, landmarks and biodiversity. In China there are very tall and beautiful cliffs, and I would like it for these to be added to Minecraft. We already have bamboo forests, but they are nearly always next to jungles and are a variant of jungles, so I thought it would be cool if these majestic cliffs were added to Minecraft. They would be very tall and have bamboo as vegetation, as well as fog, and a new tree, the peach tree, which would have to variants, flourished and un-flourished, and like oak trees, would drop peaches instead of apples, which would have the same function and restore the same health points as apples. They would be tall enough to reach the clouds in some cases, and would have pandas as the only animal. Maybe it would be cool if there were also red pandas, which would act similar to foxes but have a new design, and could be also fed bamboo. A new weapon could also be added: the spear/staff, which could be crafted with two bamboo stems and an iron ingot, and once half of it was broken, the spear tip would fall off and the remainer would be a staff, which would deal 2 hearts of damage but would stun mobs after a few hits for a few seconds. (as if it was a kung fu weapon that disarms enemies) Please let me know what you think!

    Changes to dolphins

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 10:58 AM PDT

    New behaviour

I think this has been suggested before, but Dolphins should play with puffed up pufferfish like they do with items, it'd be a fun detail, as that is something dolphins in real life are known to do.

I think they could also hunt and eat squid and cod/salmon (but not tropical fish or pufferfish). Imagine something like how Piglins hunt Hoglins and not how Wolves hunt Sheep, it's something they'd do occasionally rather than just them going on a slaughter every time.

    Echolocation:

Dolphin's echolocation is somewhat made use of in-game in the form of them locating treasure for you. But I think some small details could also be implemented. Dolphins should be immune/unaffected by the blindness and invisibility effects, as in they can still interact with mobs/the world around them fine even if they have blindness, as well as also being able to see mobs affected by invisibility just fine. (This should also be done to other mobs known to use echolocation, like bats, btw).

    Health changes

Dolphins currently have 10 health (5 hearts), which seems to be waaay to little, that's the same amount of health as pigs, foxes, and bees. I think it should be raised to either 16 health (8 hearts) or 20 health (10 hearts), it also plays into my next suggestion.

    New drop: Blubber

Dolphins currently drop... raw cod? Why? Is that supposed to be like its meat as a remnant from when cod was just "fish"? I propose a new drop.

When killed, Dolphins would drop 0-2 Blubber, which can be used as fuel to smelt 8 items and also to craft torches, but that's where its similarities with coal end. You can also eat it and it'd restore some 2 hunger and quite a few saturation at the risk of poisoning you 50% of the time.

I know what you're going to say "Mojang doesn't want people riding dolphins, do you think they'd want to encourage people to kill them?". Well first Dolphins attack you if you attack them, that should already send the message that dolphins aren't animals you should mess with to kids, coupled with a potential health boost I proposed it means they are no small foe either. It's not a item worth getting and it's a pretty useless item, it's not like you're encouraged to go and get it, you're better off using coal/charcoal, coupled with the potential poison, it's more of a throwaway filler item that only really exists because raw cod is just that weird of a drop for a marine mammal.

Alternatively, they could also, y'know drop nothing.

I recognize I'm way too peeved about dolphins dropping cod, I apologize.

These are just some suggestions, I tagged this under "mobs", but it could also file under "AI behaviour", so idk.

    New enchantment idea for bows:

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 09:24 AM PDT

A new enchantment could be called "Force". It would increase the drop off distance of arrows and make the arrow travel farther. If that is too op, then maybe a counter effect could be that the bow takes longer to draw would be a fair balance. "Force" could vary from 1 to 5, with one adding only a few more blocks of straight arrow movement, and five adding a significant amount.

When bee boxes are stacked, they should combine.

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 10:41 AM PDT

When be boxes are stacked, they should combine to one. This is limited to 3 boxes. They share honey and bees, so the lowest box will get filled and bees will use all of them as their home. This way more bees will be able to join one nest too.
This is a little realism and makes bee farming more compact and a little easier to manage.

    Scorched wood

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 08:21 PM PDT

If a tree catches on fire, or is lit by the player, and you are able to put out the fire on the tree before it burns and you chop down the tree afterwards you should obtain "scorched wood" instead of regular oak or whatever type of tree caught on fire.

First suggestion btw, I hope no one has suggested it yet.

Changes to the “Minecraft Classic” texture pack

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 11:29 PM PDT

I have 2 suggestions for the Minecraft Classic textures

    • Instead of having the new stonecutter on the Minecraft Classic texture pack, the texture for the stonecutter should be the old MCPE stonecutter
    • Pre 1.14 villager textures should be included in the Minecraft Classic texture pack.

    you can knock on doors

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 02:06 PM PDT

like punching a noteblock, it makes a sound when punching wooden or iron doors.

the sound would be similar to zombies breaking doors in hard mode

different doors have different sounds -iron has a metal sound -spruce or dark oak have creeky sounds -birch, acacia or jungle have modern sounds

or maybe because it would be annoying, the sound would only play when its powered be Redstone or a stone button

maybe villagers do this before entering someones house

what do you think? is it unnecessary? or annoying? do you have a better idea? let me know :)

Zomfied Piglin Head (please read before voting)

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 09:54 AM PDT

Zombiefied Piglin Head would be a type of mob head drop that Zombiefied Piglin would drop. It wouldn't allow us to hit zombiefied piglin without beeing noticed, but instead it would allow us to scare and keep piglins at bay. It's radius shouldn't be too big, so I think piglins should notice us about around 5-7 blocks from us.

Increase max turning speed for controller players

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 02:18 PM PDT

If you compare mouse turning speed vs controller turning speed, there will be a noticeable difference. I have felt that increasing the max speed available would expand the playstyles.

In pvp/parkour, it is crucial to have a good turn speed to allow for smooth tracking and smoother movement. For reference, the Legacy Console editions had a high turn speed, and this was noticed the most in their old Minigame servers.

Also, it is fun to be able to turn at mach 2.
