    The Fletching Table

Most suggestions for the fletching table's use revolve around either 1. making arrows easily or 2. making better bows. Given the fletching table's name, it'd probably be used for arrows rather than bows. Here's some quick concept art I made for a possible use:

    Concept for the Fletching Table

The fletching table would allow the player to create different types of arrows, while the crafting table could only be used for the first one, the flint arrow. The second and third types of arrows would deal increasing damage, and would be crafted with their respective nuggets. The last arrow, the spectral arrow, is normally crafted with 4 glowstone surrounding a single arrow. As we can't put multiple items in the concept I created, I used a blaze rod instead of a stick to keep the recipe as pricey as it was before.

The fletching table could also be used to create tipped arrows. If a splash potion (not the lingering potion that is currently used in the ingame recipe, as it's kind of weird that something like this is locked behind the ender dragon) was used in the fletching table, it would have a set 'durability,' being able to be used to create a certain number of tipped arrows before running out (probably more than the 8 the crafting table allows with one potion). If another potion was put in the table before the previous one had run out, it would replace it.

Currently, tipped/spectral arrows are very rarely crafted. Hopefully introducing them eariler and allowing easy crafting gets more players to use them. Let's hope the fletching table sees a use someday, and maybe it'll look something like this.

P.S. if you saw this image before in r/Minecraft, that was me :)

EDIT: I did a bad. The concept I made wouldn't allow players to create regular arrows if there was a potion in the table already. A possible way to get around it would be using easy-to-obtain water splash bottles/regular bottles to clear the table. If Mojang implements this, that'd be something to consider.

    Piglins get confused at pigs

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 07:03 AM PDT

This is just a small mob interaction suggestion. When a piglin sees an overworld pig, it stares at it and tilts its head like it's a familiar thing to it but can't figure out the connection.

I think Mojang should add a tropical island biome to Minecraft

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 11:52 AM PDT

With the 1.13 update, Mojang brought life to the ocean biome bringing new blocks, types of oceans etc..., but I think an opportunity was missed and that was adding a tropical island that would appear in the warm ocean.

The way this biome will work is by generating from at least 100 blocks of the closest border of the said ocean this way removing the chance of an island biome appearing next to an ice spikes biome, iceberg, etc...

    Rarity?

These biomes will be uncommon to find. The rarity is based on the type of island.

    Types of island

There would be a total of two types of islands.

A small/medium island this island would be the most common

And a big island that would have a lagoon with coral reefs and tropical fishes.

What additions would this biome bring to the game?

Well, we would've got the addition of a new tree type this being the palm tree.

There would also have the addition of the crab this mob would exist just for ambience equally to the bat.

There would also be a new music disc that could be found on the island as a treasure.

It would also have the addition of two new types of food these being the coconut that will generate on the palm trees and the pineapple.

What type of mobs would spawn on the islands?

The only passive mobs that would spawn on the islands would be the parrots and the crabs.

The only hostile mob that would spawn on the island would be the Drowned

What mechanic will this biome bring to the game?

When collecting the coconuts they will come in a complete form so to be able to be eaten we'll need to put it in our off-hand and then with an axe in our main hand we'll right-click and then we'll receive the coconut ready to be eaten.

The number of clicks needed will depend on the used axe and will have a touch of luck to it, so using a wood axe we're gonna need to click 4 to 3 times; With a stone axe we need to click 3 to 2 times; With an iron axe 2 to 1 time; With a diamond axe it will break always with one click and when using a netherite axe it will break immediately when collecting it.

My thoughts on my idea are that this is a good expansion to the aquatic update I do not believe it can be added on 1.17 seeing that they're working on the mountain update or shortly. I do think the way you would break the coconuts would give one more use to the off-hand. Overall, I see this biome as I stated before as an expansion and not as a major update that's why I didn't suggest the adding of mobs like sharks, etc.. The other reason of why I didn't suggest adding more mobs or other hostile enemies to this biome is 'cause I see this biome as a chill place where you can go to just relax, but still giving you a little challenge as you need to defend yourself from the Drowned.

Make Mobs Ignore You If You’re Wearing The Corresponding Mob Skull

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 12:12 PM PDT

To make mob skulls actually useful, make mobs not attack you if you are wearing a mob skull (Creepers ignore creeper skulls, zombies with zombies, etc.) If you attack any mob while wearing it, they begin attacking you, except for if you're wearing a zombie head and attack a villlager.

Idea for a Structure: Pillage Village/Raided Village

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 05:45 AM PDT

It would Simulate a Village that was completely Conquered by Pillager, with High City Walls with Banners all around it, a Bridge over some lava, a Jail, Storage, and a Huge Castle, that could even bring an use to the unused Pillager mob, like a mini-boss, and there you would find Lapis, Enchantment Books, Weapons, Emeralds or Maybe even Diamonds! These Would be as Rare as WoodLand Mansions or Strongholds, and would Certainly be Cool to Raid, maybe even a new mob: Iron Pillager, Iron Golem but Stronger, and Attacks you on Sight

Conduits should halve turtle egg hatching time

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 02:52 AM PDT

Arguably waiting days near my turtle eggs is more tedious and monotonous than mining obsidian, and can even be made near-worthless by accidentally missing the scute drop when I don't notice the hatch for just long enough.

Turtles are ocean creatures, conduit has precedent of affecting things at a distance and punishing hostility. Why not protect ocean creatures? Seems "on brand".

Cauldrons can wash potion affects off of tipped arrows.

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 06:59 AM PDT

This change is pretty simple and makes a lot of sense. Since tipped arrows are simply dipped in the potion, it would make sense that you could wash it off. This would also make any tipped arrows the player gets, like arrows of slowness from strays, reusable.

    Curse of Gluttony

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 08:52 AM PDT

    The curse of gluttony applies to all armor, and will take away xp. I'll go into more detail;

Regardless of if it's damaged, XP will constantly be drained from your player into the curse. It's amplified with however many armor pieces with this enchantment there are. The only way to get this XP back is to break the armor, at which point it would all come back to you.

All in all, it's very annoying curse, but also has some use in letting you store XP if you'd like too

warped and crimson wood should overwrite its 'leaves'

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 02:19 PM PDT

this is something i have been thinking as i harvest wood for my shop .... the nether woods never just erase the netherwart blocks or the warped ones .. it causes then to basically never grow high and if you don't clear it between each one growing you'll get like trees of only one log ... kinda annoying and im hoping it can be fixed so its not the most annoying woods to get

    Meta suggestions I guess

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 02:19 PM PDT

This may be me nit-picking, but could there be a rule or something that stops people from saying "just download a mod" or "oh theres a data pack for that"?

It just gets annoying to see after a while and the point of this suggestion sub is for vanilla Minecraft, so there would be no need to tell someone to download a mod. Not everyone can or wants to.

I guess that's all from me, sorry if the flair is wrong. Thanks for reading

Villagers should close their eyes when they sleep -_-

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 05:05 PM PDT

It's pretty simple, but I noticed that Villagers don't close their eyes when they sleep, and they really should.

Looking through mobs/mob behaviors, it wasn't on the FPS list and I'm pretty surprised it hasn't been suggested, as far as I can tell.

It's a pretty simple fix, and would make villagers eyes a lot less tired ;)

    ender water

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 12:59 PM PDT

my idea is that in the end, ponds of "ender water" can spawn. ender water looks like water, but purple. "end fish" (more on them in another post) can spawn in the end water. endermen, endermites, and the other creatures can swim in the end water, but creatures from the overworld and nether will get damaged by the end water. with a special "ender rod" (more on those in another post) you can fish in the ender water to get end fish, as well as other items you can get from the end, such as ender pearls. all items which are not from the end will get destroyed by the ender water.

    Narrator reading inventory.

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 09:43 AM PDT

As a visually-impaired player, the screen reader has been very nice for navigating the menus of the game. However, the ingame inventory, crafting, hotbar, etc interfaces are a very different story.

Is it possible to label each item that can be selected in all of those interfaces so the narrator can read them when hovered over and make a sound when the item is selected, placed in the hotbar, and removed from it?

maybe the reader can tell you when an armor or hotbar slot is empty when switching to it in addition to reading out the filled slots when hovered over.

I'm not sure how many visualy-impaired players play Minecraft, but i can say from personal experience that having those changes implemented can greatly help with ease of use of the game by removing the need for another pair of eyes.

    thanks for reading. :)

The side of observer to observe should be facing to us when we place it

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 07:47 AM PDT

The redstone output side facing us when we place it and its really hard to place it correctly. Especially when you are in survival mode and build a redstone contraption on something that have roof, its so hard to find a correct angle to place it with correct side. Everytime i have to break many block you place it correctly and its really annoying.

Put Bedrock Edition underneath the "Minecraft" text

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 04:48 AM PDT

To avoid confusion it should say Bedrock Edition under Minecraft, like in the Java Edition, I have friends who say that they play Xbox One Edition and others who say Pocket Edition when they kind of are, but in reality they + others were brought together to form the Bedrock Edition.

    The ruined house

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 05:41 AM PDT

This is a small house consisting of 1 room that can spawn in plains or forest biomes. It contains a bed a few bookshelf and an empty chest. In the middle of the room is a carpet.

There is a 70% chance that below the carpet is a basement filled with 3 Zombies wearing armor and weapons. The Zombies generate with the structure and don't respawn. In the basement there will be up to 3 chests containing armor, tools, weapons and material.

Material can include: diamonds, iron, logs, the 3 apples, other food, redstone, cobwebs and bones

    Smoke, volcanoes, and fire!

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 09:25 AM PDT

    SMOKE!

Generation: We already know campfires. but, now they generate from regular fire (not soul fire. soul fire campfires dont produce smoke now, either). 20 percent chance for fire to be smoke fire, and it generates smoke. Stepping in smoke now gives you 4 second blindness effect and 1 second wither. The countdown for the status effects dont start until you get out of the smoke, so while you are in the smoke they are infinite, but while you are out they last a little while.

    VOLCANOES!

They have a four percent chance to generate inside mountain biomes. They have a minimum hight of 28 blocks and a maximum of 128. They are made out of magma, obsidian, netherrack, and very rarely, bedrock. Smoke generates inside the volcano, too. Even if you are not in the smoke from that volcano, you get infinite wither effect until you get out. Lava lies within, and every 20 minutes, it rises one block. Once it overflows, FIRE CHARGES SPEW OUT OF THE VOLCANO! These fire charges are effected by gravity, so it will sail across the overworld until it hits the ground. It always generates 8, no more, no less. Volcano firecharges are effected by gravity a little less then we do. They dont start dropping until they get 13 blocks away from the volcano. So that means you can have a low render distance.. and a volcano could be 60 blocks away from your home... one day.. fire charges start coming towards you! Why go to a volcano? There is a new block.... copper ore! It looks like it is engraved in netherrack (it never generates in the nether tho). Copper has more durability than iron. It has a little more damage than iron and has the defense of diamond! Copper is super useful! Smelt copper ore in a furnace and you get copper!

    Heres what you can doo!

-Create copper compasses. They point towards your death point.

    -Create copper tools.

-Create copper furnaces. Copper furnaces act like blast furnaces, but they smelt even faster than those!

-Create copper hoppers. Unlike regular hoppers, if you created a situation where a hopper was facing into a chest and there was a hopper under that hopper, it would go into the chest instead of the other hopper.

-Create copper golems. They have more health and damage. Copper golems also generate in snowy villages, too. They drop copper.

-Create copper bedrock. Copper bedrock is crafted when you combine copper with cobblestone. It requires netherte to break, but really is not bedrock at all. It's just harder to break (what i mean is it is called bedrock because it is so hard to break but is not actually bedrock).

A "stop" function tag for datapacks (the opposite of load.json)

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 01:57 PM PDT

Currently we have two hard-programmed function tags for every datapack: load, which runs as the datapack starts up, and tick, which acts as the main game clock. I think it would be very helpful for there to be a tag for functions that run just before the datapack is unloaded. I'd probably call it stop.json. This would give the programmer a chance to close any ongoing processes when the datapack is disabled, just in case something game-breaking would happen otherwise.

Ideally this tag would only trigger when using commands to unload the datapack, not on a reload and not when the world is exited.

    Horse shoes

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 09:46 AM PDT

Horse shoes are a new armor item for horses. Horse shoes do not give the horse any armor. Horse shoes can be enchanted with boot enchantments (soul speed, frost walker, ext.) Horse shoes are crafted similar to cauldrons, just without the corners. There aren't any different variants of horse shoes, theres only iron.
