Posted: 12 Jul 2020 09:58 AM PDT This gamemode would combine aspects of creative mode and spectator mode. It gives the abilities of creative mode and the ability to bass through walls like spectator. Here's what's different:

Renaming items should cost 1 XP Posted: 11 Jul 2020 10:13 PM PDT You finish enchanting your equipment/tools without renaming because you weren't inspired so you leave it for later. Then, when you have the perfect name for your [ Sharpness V | Unbreaking III | Looting III | Fire Aspect II | Mending I] (and maybe Knockback, if you hate yourself that much /s) Sword, the anvil doesn't allow you to rename it because it's too expensive. C'mon, man!... dude... anvil... whatever. C'mon, let me just rename my Sword. Edit: Suggestion link. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360071504692-Renaming-items-in-the-anvil-should-cost-0-or-1-XP [link] [comments]
Mythral - the End's special metal Posted: 12 Jul 2020 09:26 AM PDT

Falling Blocks should break turtle eggs Posted: 12 Jul 2020 07:38 AM PDT Currently if a falling block falls onto turtle eggs, the block drops as an item and the eggs are unharmed. Even anvils do this. What should happen is they break the turtle egg and continue falling. [link] [comments]
Hoglins should run away from the player when they are holding warped fungus Posted: 12 Jul 2020 10:47 AM PDT If hoglins are scared of warped fungus when they see it on the ground, it makes sense that they should be scared when they see it in the player's hand as well. This would obviously make it so that you don't have to place warped fungus down to avoid hoglin attacks [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Jul 2020 09:03 AM PDT It's pretty self explanatory, add more biomes that you won't find in real life. I do love the non fictional biomes, I really do, but Mojang's ideas for fictional biomes have been really cool to me. While I don't mind these fantasy biomes being added in other dimensions, I'd prefer to see more in the overworld. I do actually have some ideas for biomes I can mention very briefly. Downpour Biome: A constantly stormy and rainy biome covered in trees similar to the mangrove where all zombies here spawn as drowned. Chorus Forest: An end biome that feature an abundance of chorus fruit as well as other forms of purple vegetation and endermite nests. Sanctuary Biome: A bustling animal ecosystem that despite being kept underground and away from sunlight, has managed to be thriving for what appears to be ages. Dark Ocean Biome: Deeper than the deep ocean, the dark ocean is home to very little light and features a bunch of plants and animals that can only be described as otherwordly. The dark ocean biome could feature the glowing squids from Minecraft earth. [link] [comments]
Water should be a different color in the End Posted: 12 Jul 2020 06:05 AM PDT Similar to the way the swamp biome has a bit of a green color in the water, the End dimension(s) should have like a purple or maybe void colored water. Maybe even new fish/treasure to be found? Maybe not since there is no naturally occurring water in the dimension... Maybe they could add End lakes, too? [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Jul 2020 03:50 AM PDT When you press alt, the block you're placing rotates (if it supports that). Holding alt May also allow you to select the orientation. Would be useful for terracotta, redstone in small spaces, stairs, etc. (Sorry don't know if this counts towards the ruling against block rotating items as it is not really so much an item as a convenience function) [link] [comments]
Water acting as a smoke grenade in the nether. Posted: 11 Jul 2020 11:54 PM PDT As we all know, water evaporates in the nether. Because of this, if you throw down a splash water bottle it should create a small smoke screen which will kind of replicate the invisibility effect. Although of course it would only last for a brief moment due to it being so cheap, but I feel like it would still be useful in a few tricky situations. [link] [comments]
New advancement: No Rest for the Wicked Posted: 12 Jul 2020 02:42 PM PDT
Posted: 12 Jul 2020 10:07 AM PDT The only danger to Minecraft's oceans at the moment are Trident Drowned's, but they can be avoided with a shield or a boat. My suggestion is the Pirate Drowned. Pirate drowned spawn near shipwrecks and spawn with iron tools (Specifically swords). They would act as defenders for the shipwrecks. At the moment it's very easy to raid shipwrecks, so some sort of defense system could be cool! They would be similar to Pilligars defending the outposts. They would have different skins/textures including: A black jacket with brown pants and a black cap, A striped red and white shirt with light brown pants, A Red jacket with black pants and a pirate hat. There would also be a re-skin for Trident Drowned where they have a similar look to Aqua man but with more dark and faded colours [link] [comments]
Charged Creepers should have unique sounds Posted: 11 Jul 2020 09:22 PM PDT Charged Creepers should have a unique sound for being created (Creeper getting struck by lightning), maybe a subtle electricity effect for being created would be nice, although it would need to be loud to hear over a lightning strike. But at least for exploding I think it needs one, especially with how massive their explosion is. Their hissing should have a unique sound effect as well, also having a subtle electricity sound effect in it. And then their explosion should be a much louder and deeper sound, to emphasize just how big the explosion is. Maybe even use the old (pre 1.0.0) explosion sound effect for a little nostalgia? Either way, Charged Creepers should be more unique from regular Creepers with how rare they are and how much more powerful they are. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Jul 2020 07:51 AM PDT When soul sand is smelted into glass, it gives off a glass that has screaming souls flashing in it. Kinda like the soulsand texture, but a bit animated. It can also be dyed. [link] [comments]
Raids scale in difficulty based on previous successes. Posted: 12 Jul 2020 11:31 AM PDT Perhaps if you beat a lvl 1 raid, the next raid will be lvl 2 by default. Same concept could also apply to outposts and patrols, containing more and different illagers. [link] [comments]
Lava Jellies and Glowstone Lurkers Posted: 12 Jul 2020 10:39 AM PDT The land part of the nether has been largely filled in by 1.16, but there are still some parts that still feel bare. Introducing:
The lava jelly is a jellyfish like mob that swims in the oceans. It's entirely red and red-orange. The lava jelly mostly moves like a squid, and is hostile. Like a drowned, it can only detect the player when they're in the same body of lava as it. Lava jellies need to be in lava or they'll suffocate like a fish in water. Lava jellies also take damage in water and rain. Lava jellies will swim towards the player like a jellyfish with its tentacles behind it. When they get close, they'll turn to have their tentacles face and touch the player. If the tentacles touch the player, the player is set on fire and takes damage. Lava jellies drop leather on death. Piglins are hostile to lava jellies, but only if the lava jelly is on land, or the piglin has fire resistance.
The glowstone lurker is a mob that clings to the ceiling of the nether and moves around up there. It is also hostile. It can extend its legs to get up to five blocks below the ceiling. It's hostile, and if they are in its range, the glowstone lurker will attack players. As their name suggests, glowstone lurkers look like glowstone, which they can use as camouflage and to lure players up, as they might think it is glowstone. The glowstone lurker gives off light like glowstone. The glowstone lurker has the ability to grab mobs when it extends down, and pull them back up, where it attacks them and deals damage, while they cannot get away. If the mob attacks them while they are pulling it back up, it will let go and drop them to the ground. Once they are back on the ceiling however, if the mob cannot kill the lurker, they're doomed. The lurker cannot extend underwater, and it avoids water. The lurker can pick up mobs that attack them. It will grab them, and each mob has a different weight class (If a mob is not present below, the lurker is not hostile to it)
The lurker will also pick up and attack baby hoglins and baby piglins, and if they are killed by it they won't drop meat. Due to the fact the wither is hostile to all mobs, but the lurker can't grab it, lurkers will move quickly away from withers in an attempt to avoid death. When killed, the glowstone lurker drops 0-4 glowstone dust. It will also drop more glowstone if killed with a fortune tool, and will drop a block instead if killed with a silk touch tool. Along with dust, it drops 0-3 glowstone mandibles. The mandibles can be crafted in an upside down chestplate shape to craft a Mandible Helmet.
The mandible helmet can be equipped on the helmet slot. When worn by the player, it allows them to stick their on the bottom of blocks and slowly move on ceilings, even without blocks underneath them. The player can use this to cross lava oceans without an elytra or strider. Moving along the ceiling has the player move slightly slower than a walking player. Be warned however, as taking damages unsticks the player, so a ghast might make you take an unwanted lava bath, right in the middle of the ocean. When wearing the helmet, piglins and hoglins also have a slightly larger detection range, and they will always be hostile. The helmet itself has the durability of an iron helmet, and gives the defense of one too. [link] [comments]
A End Update (100% better End) Posted: 12 Jul 2020 11:38 AM PDT I feel like even though the End does have End Cities I feel like I have created a list of items, structures, and mobs I would like to be possibly added into the End! Mob List: Flier: These mobs will attack shulkers but run from Enderman, they will also roam the skys of the End. End Cubes: These Big Guys only spawn near End Cities making them a bit rare but they attack Enderman and defend the Shulkers. Chorus: These small creatures don't attack you unless attacked/harmed if attacked then they will have a battle call summoning up too 4 others Chorus Zombies: These zombie like creatures protect Baby Chorus until they grow up but they will attack you if 15 Blocks away by using magic Queen Flier: This Giant Flier is the queen and strongest of all Fliers commanding them with a giant roar able to be heard from The Main End Island! This mob would most likely be a boss! Biomes: Chorus Forest: These Forest's are the rarest, most useful, and deadliest being the home of Chorus and Chorus Zombies also holding a stash of Chorus somewhere in the forest End Of Life: This giant tree is home to Fliers making it very useful but because of it being home to the Queen Flier! There would most likely be up to 2 of the Humongous Trees in the End! Structures: End Runes: These weird shaped ruins are really rare but are valuable giving you rare ores Floating Islands: These mysterious floating islands would rarely have any fliers on them but the islands would be really common to see in the middle of the End but they would also hold at least a block of iron somewhere Items/Ores: Enderite: This ore would be a post Ender Dragon Ore because of it being stronger than netherite Ender Powder: This magical powder is what makes up Enderite Items and Armor but could also be used in smelting/brewing Chorus Ingot: This ingot would only make a sword because of it being the same durability as Iron Well thats what I would like added into the End making the End more lively so exploring it could be better! [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Jul 2020 03:24 AM PDT I honestly love piglins, but I think that the pigmen should get a home as well. These camps can be found anywhere, even the basalt deltas! (They have basalt docks) Nether Wastes: Netherrack and Netherbricks Crimson Forest: Crimson logs and planks Warped Forest: Warped logs and planks Soul Sand Valley and Basalt Deltas: Basalt and Blackstone The camps are basically designed after the old villages. The zombie piglins are the villagers of these structures. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Jul 2020 07:38 AM PDT These would be placed on top of blocks and would hold a single potion, you can drink the potion with a right click, and remove / place it with a right click. They could be craft with a iron nugget above a stone slab creating 3 potion holders. [link] [comments]
Achievement Idea: That's a lotta levels! Posted: 12 Jul 2020 03:29 PM PDT This idea is simply an achievement called, That's a lotta levels! To aquire this achievement you would have to obtain level 100 in survival. Used levels do not count. The rarity of this achievement would be Epic. [link] [comments]
Allow chunks near the player bed to remain loaded, similar to the world spawn chunks Posted: 12 Jul 2020 12:46 PM PDT This should, in my opinion, be enabled in the form of a gamerule. I believe it should be added since there are a lot of different things set up near a players "base", such as crops and furnaces, which will stop ticking once you leave their proximity. It makes for inefficient cycles of productivity, where you can go mining in some far off area and come back to see absolutely nothing has progressed while you were gone. Another reason for this is that not all players play with cheats enabled, so simply moving the world spawn isn't an option for a lot of people. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Jul 2020 06:21 AM PDT I think it'd look neat if we could plant fenceposts horizontally. It wouldn'r need a new crafting recipe, just have the fence be horizontal when put on the side of a block, while remaining vertical if placed on the floor or ceiling. [link] [comments]
[Player Name] has shot themself Posted: 12 Jul 2020 01:27 PM PDT When a player (Steve, in this example) kills themself with a bow and an arrow, the following message appears: Steve was shot by Steve I think this kind of message sounds bad because of the same name repeating twice I suggest it should be replaced by: Steve has shot themself [link] [comments]
A more ethical source of renewable iron Posted: 11 Jul 2020 11:27 PM PDT Let's be honest. Iron is a very important resource in Minecraft, and eventually, mining for every ingot is going to get harder and more boring, especially since there's so much more to do. This led players to build iron farms, where you trap some villagers, perpetually terrified by a zombie, so they summon golems for protection, which you burn to death in lava for their remains. Iron farms are one of the first things I build, but I'm still not happy about it. I like these guys! I want to play with villagers without having to enslave them. Instead, we should be able to trade ingots for emeralds. That way, the player has access to an easy and convenient source of iron without having to commit the horrors required for a golem farm.
