Obsidian should not burn in Lava Posted: 29 Jul 2020 04:56 AM PDT Mojang already has the infrastructure for this now, because Netherite doesn't burn in Lava. It makes sense, because the only way for Obsidian to get formed is literally through touching Lava. And its a bit infuriating when you're mining Obsidian from a Lava Lake and it gets burnt, so why not? [link] [comments]
Saddles should be stackable up to 64 Posted: 28 Jul 2020 08:13 PM PDT Edit: maybe not 64, but even just 4 or 16 would be nice In many survival worlds I literally have several double chests filled just with saddles. This is incredibly annoying, and I would like to be able to stack them for compact storage. Also, I don't really see the disadvantage of this, as lack of stacking is usually designed to prevent items from being OP. For example, if mushroom stew was stackable, it would be an easy infinite food source from milking mooshroms that could replace the need for any other food. However, I don't really think saddles are "OP." Thus, make them stackable [link] [comments]
Allow Banners to be placed on Iron Golems. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 01:53 AM PDT As a cape, tabard, or just a pole sticking out of their back. My apologies if this infringes on the FPS list. [link] [comments]
Baby villagers and iron golems should offer you poppies after a raid. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 10:17 AM PDT When you get "the hero of the village" effect baby villagers would run to you and give you poppies, iron golems would hold a poppy to you, Just a simple concept. A kind of block that doesn't let ender pearls land on it. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 10:20 AM PDT Imagine if, say, a type of block that when hit by an ender pearl, would not pop the pearl but would instead let the pearl slide along the block. With the advent of ender pearls being effected by bubble streams, this would allow the movement of ender pearls more easily, allowing for quite interesting teleportation devices. Additionally, this would be an interesting way to "ender pearl proof" A house or tower. Don't want anyone teleporting into your tower? Lay down some of this block and the pearls will slide off or never land. [link] [comments]
Wandering traders should sell leashes. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 04:38 AM PDT Why should they sell those? Because 1, thats what most players use them for anyways and 2, that would be one of the few trades that are useful. There is not much to say here. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jul 2020 05:29 AM PDT As with every new update the title screen panorama changes, there should be an option to go back to the old ones if you really wanted to. There would be options like "Classic", "Ocean", "Village", "Bees", "Nether", and each update would add a new one. I personally like the ocean one and i would like an option to switch between them. An overhaul of the potion system, allowing for combined effects and more tactical brewing Posted: 29 Jul 2020 12:20 PM PDT Currently, any potion you brew falls into one of two categories - it either has a negative effect, or a positive effect. This is fine, but it means there's very little reason for a player ever to brew something like a non-splash Potion of Poison. I propose that a potion "weight" system is added. If you want to visualise it with numbers, then think of it like this - negative effects subtract points from this total, and positive effects add points to it, with -10/10 being the minimum/maximum respectively. The higher the level or duration of an effect, the more points it contributes. This gets interesting when you open up the option of combining potion effects. Combining a negative effect with a positive effect would allow you to make that positive effect stronger because you'd have more "weight" to work with, and vice versa. (there'd definitely need to be a max amount of effects on a single potion). For instance, let's say with this overhaul, each level of Regeneration is worth 4 weight points (just a random number used for the sake of the example). This means that normally, Regeneration II is the maximum level you can achieve (as you can't go beyond 10). However, adding Slowness into the mix would decrease the weight, by say, 3, giving you room for a third level of Regeneration, with the trade-off of having Slowness too. I'm not sure how this mechanic would be represented in game to the player, but I think it would definitely make brewing a lot more interesting and open up more options in combat. "Ice Bucket Challenge" should be a child of "Diamonds!", not "Hot Stuff" Posted: 29 Jul 2020 01:43 PM PDT It is easily possible to obtain obsidian without a bucket of lava. However, it is not possible to obtain obsidian (except from loot chests) without diamonds. This change would also show players that obsidian requires diamond to mine, which new players may not know, especially since obsidian is mined extremely slowly even with a diamond pick. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 07:40 AM PDT I'm not sure whether this has been suggested in the past but here it goes. I'm sure we've all lost a Cat or Dog in the game, sometimes they die which is something that you can't reverse hit other times you just loose them, mainly because you've moved too fast and it doesn't catch up. So due to many personal experiences I've had, I'd say that a Pet Locator map is necessary in the game. I'm not sure how it would be made (suggest in the comments!) but it would show the pets in the area, with the head of the pet being the marker (a parrot head would show the parrots location). I also think that being able to upgrade the map to cover a longer distance would work. Obviously this would only work with mobs you can actually tame, like cats, dogs and parrots. So what do you think? Would this work in the game? Edit: Someone mentioned horses, I agree with this. Named animals would be nice too, so maybe that could be a part of it. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:53 AM PDT I'm new to the Minecraft subreddit, and I would like to share some ideas I have for what a cave update could look like. WARNING: LONG POST Re-Modeling: depending on the biome, the cave would look different and have new stone/ores exclusive to that biome. There would also could be slabs and stairs present to give the cave a better shape and look. The ores uses would be portrayed later on. Taiga: https://postimg.cc/xJNsDDHW the taiga caves would have some dirt with grass or berries and some occasional vines running down the wall and the stone color would remain the same. I imagine you could find ruby, to not confuse it with redstone it would have 5 red shards on each side of the ore. When dropped the ruby would look like an upside down "Δ" Desert: https://postimg.cc/phPDCwCf the desert would have sandstone and sand all over and some occasional dead bushes. The badlands would have about the same thing but with more terracotta on the walls and the celling. In the desert you could find onyx embedded in sandstone with 7 black dots on each side. When dropped it would look like a black square gem to not confuse it with coal. Snow: https://postimg.cc/pmXMNrd4 I call these the "Frosty Fjords" because the stone would be darker and have a slight blue added in to look like "Ice Stone" Jungle: https://postimg.cc/xXK5P3YS you would see tint of beige in the stone, and podzol, grass, vines and leaves inside the caves. You could find titanite which is used for putting effects on your gear. It would have 7 green-yellow spots on each side and the item would look like a green-yellow crystal. Ore's Uses: I would like to give these ores a special use in the game such as enchanting and augmenting equipment. Ruby: needing an iron pickaxe, this would be used to enhance you gear, enhancing it means to make it more durable. Onyx: needing a stone pickaxe, you can use it to refine your gear, to make it more resistant to certain types of damage such as magic or fire. Aquamarine: needing an iron pickaxe, this would be used to augment your gear, making weapons do extra damage and armor having more resistance, and costing some experience points. This would be done in an anvil and for example you would need 2exp and 3 aquamarine to augment an armor piece or a weapon to level 2. The augment level for any type of weapon or gear can not exceed level 10 to not make anything really OP. Titanite: needing an stone pickaxe, this is the most unique because it could be used to put effects on your gear such as fire resistance for 15 seconds when touching lava or fire, wither for 10 seconds with sword/axe, and so much more. You would need an alchemy table for this. But you can only have ONE effect at a time per weapon and can even upgrade the amplifier, but may shorten the duration of the effect. To not make this post any longer, I will make a part 2 soon. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 04:30 AM PDT This maybe sounds dumb but in mountains you can find a super rare structure with lurking illagers and lava, its a dangerous forge-like structure with anvils and furnaces. Maybe the redstone golem can live there but i think its to minecraft duengons-like. The meaning is that having a refrence to minecraft duengons. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 09:21 AM PDT Villagers could take the Bard profession by using a note block as a workstation. Bard Trades could be as follows:
My thinking is along the lines that a Bard would buy materials to make instruments at low levels, then take money (i.e. gold and diamonds) at high levels. Bards would sell you things to create music with (bells, note blocks, records) or "musician supplies" (string and paper). The sound made by the Bard while at work could be random note block tones, simulating a musician tuning an instrument. [link] [comments]

Now just imagine that some of these Large Dungeons will have denizens that 'leak out'. What would you do if you suddenly encountered two or three blazes in an Overworld cave? And what if the ruined portal gave a decent chance for pillager squads to generate underground nearby, perhaps 100 blocks along either X/Z axis and no higher than 25 blocks above or below? Grass blocks should turn into dirt after being set on fire Posted: 28 Jul 2020 07:53 PM PDT Currently, when you set grass on fire with flint and steel, you can simply punch it out, and nothing will really happen. I think it'd be cool to implement a small detail where it would seem that the grass has been set on fire and burnt. After about 10-20 seconds of being lit, a grass block could eventually turn into coarse dirt. It'll basically give more life to the game. The area around lava pools especially may have a bit more realism. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 02:57 PM PDT They would fill the same amount of hunger and saturation. The recipe would be same as pumpkin pie but with 4 sweet berries instead a pumpkin. [link] [comments]
Using the Smithing Table to repair anvils for a limited amount of times. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 08:52 AM PDT I'm sure we can all agree that the Smithing Table is really lacking in functionality. Right now it can only be used to convert diamond tools into netherite tool and that's it. As a way to expand it's functionality at least a little bit would be to make it so that the Smithing Table can be used to repair an anvil with Iron Ingots. It would be a little unbalanced if that was all it did so to balance it I propose that after each repair the required amount of Ingots increases, starting with 4 and goes up by 2. Each anvil can be repaired up to 5 times. After the anvil is repaired for the 5th time it will show a message similar to the "Too Expensive" message in an anvil but instead tells you that the anvil cannot be repaired any more. What do y'all think? [link] [comments]
