    What's new on Project Nebula this week?

    Sign-ups for our 2nd annual Secret Santa are open!! We did this last year for Christmas and it was very well-received! Our community is even larger and even more welcoming this year, so we have no doubt that this Secret Santa is gonna be a huge success! All players, new and old, are encourage to participate in this Secret Santa. It's a great opportunity to get to know our community even better!

    Additionally, we are planning a 12+ hour session of Nether highway building this weekend! We will be focusing on a singular tunnel for this event, and there is a reward for every player who participates! All materials will be provided, so just bring yourself and some tools! I hope you join us in this important community build project!

    Finally, we are building up and expanding our Holiday Land for the holidays this year! We will be making a cozy winter village, a building and decorating a new Christmas tree, lighting our menorah! It's still November but we're full-steam-ahead with our holiday festivities this year!!

    Project Nebula is a Hermitcraft-style SMP started by Colinator007 and RavingPlatypi. We love playing as a community and generally interacting with new people, which is why we started a server. Our community is tight, welcoming, and full of personable, interesting people! I hope you give our server a shot!

    About Us

    Colin and RavingPlatypi are college students looking to play with new people! We're both engineering students and love to fiddle with redstone and farms; but we also love building beautiful structures and planning a nice base, and just generally hanging out and relaxing with some games. We encourage all playstyles and love to see the creative ways you guys play this game! We have experience hosting multiple servers in the past, such as Colincraft and Nebula Network, and have joined/played on many servers, too.

    Our goal is to not only create an active Minecraft server, but an active community and group of friends as well. While our community has a solid base, we are always looking to expand our group and we'd love to get to know you! We'd love to play other games with you in addition to Minecraft, such as Terraria, GTA V, Smash Ultimate, or whatever else you may have on Steam (or other consoles, like Switch). We've found that many of our players tend to be college students majoring in engineering, but of course, anyone is welcome and will feel at-home with us!

    This community leans towards applicants that are 18+. However, this is not a strict rule, and we encourage everyone to apply, no matter their age. We base our whitelist decisions based on maturity rather than age, but simply prefer applicants that are a closer age to ourselves (which means 18 years and up).

    You will receive a private message upon joining with more detailed instructions on how to accept our rules and apply. Most of our channels are hidden until you become a member. You must first agree to our rules using !agree and will then be able to apply for whitelist. Upon acceptance you will be whitelisted and granted access to the rest of the Discord!

    We are hosting the following servers:

    • Minecraft 1.16.4 Vanilla - Started June 8th 2019

      -This server uses quality-of-life datapacks, which are designed to aid the experience and efficiency of the game without altering the Vanilla feel. Examples include one-player sleep, logical uncrafting, and Ender Dragon dropping elytra. A full list of datapacks can be found here! To improve server performance we've been running the latest builds of Paper MC because it has better chunk loading and is generally more stable than Vanilla. No game-changing plugins are used; we only use plugins to optimize villagers and pillagers, as well as core protect for admin purposes.

    We run Paper just for the better performance. Full Vanilla experience!

    • Minecraft 1.16.4 Creative

      -Flatworld for our community to test their builds and other creations. Uses the same datapacks and plugin configuration as the main server for consistency. Also has a limited world edit available to all players.

    • Terraria Server

      -We recently finished our playthrough of the Journey's End update, but we're willing to start a new playthrough if there's enough community interest!

    • Modded Minecraft server

      -We recently created a joint modded server with the Dominion community mentioned previously. We began this modded server on August 13th, running the FTB Revelations due to its emphasis on performance, stability, and easier learning curve for newer players. Just give yourself the Modded Minecraft role in our self-assign-roles channel once you are accepted onto our server to gain access!

    • Other Minecraft gamemodes & community events

      -We've hosted numerous UHC events and other gamemodes in the past and they always go down really well! These events are a great way to socialize with people on our server that you would've otherwise never spoken to before, so we hope you join us! We've also hosted other community events, like build battles on the Vanilla server. Let us know what you're interested in and we'll see what we can do!

    • Don't be a dick (aka: the Golden Rule ™)

    • No griefing or stealing.

    • PvP is allowed only with consent from BOTH PARTIES.

    Brightside [SMP] {Whitelist}

    ➤ WHO ARE WE?

    We are a brand new semi-vanilla whitelisted server. Even though the server only opened on 19th of October this year, already have 80+ active members from previous communities and friends! Our long-term plan is to create a friendly and active environment for everyone who wants to enjoy the game with other people, like it was meant to be played.

    ➤ OUR IDEOLOGY

    Learning from previous servers, we want to have some ground-rules both for the community and for our staff team. We came up with the following list:

    • Never give pay to win or unfair advantages to donators.
    • Never cheat any kind of item in. Make a way to get custom, fun items by playing.
    • Never let any kind of drama evolve and deal with in a civil way, together.
    • Never let individuals control the server. The community has to with the staff team.
    • Encourage an active voicechat and interaction between members.
    • No matter what happens, resetting or closing the server is never a solution.

    Info: Well where do I start... SoftSlayer has been around for about 9 years now, with a pretty dedicated community that still plays a bunch of games together (obviously including Minecraft). Our server is small and pretty simple, it's a mostly vanilla atmosphere with a few things added like /home and /warps. Everyone is friendly and helpful with most things needed. PvP is disabled (we have a custom PvP arena to scratch your PvP itch), griefing is not allowed (mods will rollback if you get griefed) and you can lock your chests.

    Rules: Just the basics here, no hacking, no overly vulgar/racist/homophobic chat, no griefing. Pretty much basic rules.

    Hello I am Screams, the owner of Continuity Craft. I started playing Minecraft in 2012 and since 2017 I have been a professional builder employed by Entity Builds. Entity builds is an official partner of Minecraft. I have worked with the Entity Builds Build team for the past few years as a master builder specializing in organic design.     Continuity Craft doesn't have land claim... How are you safe from griefers?

    We have a custom coded jailing plugin that keeps all rule breakers at spawn in a displayable jail. There are public executions which all players can teleport to and see when a player is decided guilty of hacking. This plugin is very cool and is a great incentive not to hack!

    We use a whitelist administration process to filter who we allow onto the server. You apply on discord by using this template:

    Continuity Craft's Mission Statement and Transparency

    We are going to provide you a great experience through vanilla Minecraft. That is our goal. We will never disgrace the server by adding in any plugins that are game-changing besides our few edits to accommodate our many active players.

    Here are our necessary edits and plugins

    • Plugins: Luckperms, ContinuityAnnouncements, AFK, OnePersonSleep, DragonDropElytra, MoreMobHeads, CoreProtect, Essentials, Votifier, VotingPlugin, Vault, BuycraftX.
    • The dragon drops an elytra upon death, this is to prevent a massive disadvantage because the end has been rigorously busted.
    • When 33% of the online player base sleeps at night, it will change to day.
    • MoreMobHeads to add a fun cosmetic aspect to our game, you can also trade with wandering villagers to trade for mini-blocks!
    • Voting: To accommodate for new players not having access to shulkers or sponges, we have added a 5% reward to our 6 daily votes to receive either of the two. This balances this aspect and accommodates all players while not causing an oversaturation within the community.

    Staff and Ranks

    On our server you an equal member of the community, everything we know you deserve to know. We do have an option to donate, and we have donator ranks. There is no in game items or commands provided to these players. Donators head's are placed at spawn and they are given a colored name.

    Well then what do donators get?

    Donators receive a colored name based on the rank they provide. MVP is orange and VIP is light blue. We have two ranks:

    MVP: $5.00 monthly

    VIP: $2.50 monthly

    The prices of these ranks are capped very low because we do not want a large amount of money from any singular player. We want the experience to be as low cost as possible for as many players as possible so by employing this donation system most players can play for free and those that do wish to support us do not have to pay much. We will always share how much we have received in donations and even how we are deciding to spend it.

    In addition, we are completely transparent about any dilemmas regarding media influencers, high ranked staff, or any fundamental changes within the server.

    Your Voice Matters!

    Any changes to the server will be run through our community. No changes through executive decision will be made. The owner and staff agree that what is best for the server is what the majority decides.

    Big changes will be broadcasted to the community and feedback through polling and vocal opinions will be heavily considered.

    So it's a vanilla server, what is the big deal? What makes Continuity Craft different?

    Continuity Craft is a vanilla server. That being said, what makes Continuity Craft the best place to spend your time is due to how our community operates. The rules on our land claims are completely unique and you have not seen a server that successfully operates under the same parameters.

    • These are the rules, they are simple. There is absolutely no hacking or griefing. Chat must be kept appropriate to the liking of whichever staff member is online. There will be no racism or homophobic language. Duping will not be met with consequence as this is vanilla, but game breaking exploits will be dealt with by operators. Dupes that have been around for years such as carpet/rail dupes are allowed as this is a vanilla server.
    • There are community enforced property rights. Where you can build is organized by word of mouth. Owning an area of land is accomplished simply by building on it. The player that owns a piece of land has property rights. For example, if they do not want someone building close to them they are allowed to remove them by force. (Applies only if someone is building unnecessarily close) If they do not want someone on their land and someone is trespassing they are allowed to kill them. In unclaimed area on this server PVP is permissible but not looked well upon.
    • There are weekly events. For example, once a week we have the Continuity Cup where in our community made colosseum there is a large scale brawl. The kits are provided by the event host and the winner will receive awesome rewards. More importantly the winner will be able to possess the Victory Banner found in the center of the arena for a week before returning it for the next Cup. Other events include parkour, build battles, and more!
    • There are "wars". Sometimes players hunger for battle! With this small bylaw formed communally on our server, griefing can be permitted. Understand this: You will never be griefed unless you agree to the possibility of it occurring. A "war" on our server is when two parties agree to declare it. Within this agreement, each party can attack and destroy a designated area of land. This mechanism is used to resolve disputes as simply as possible. War is conceded upon surrender or spawn execution. Collateral damage within wars will result in consequences for the parties involved. These wars also contribute to the lore of the server!
    • Griefing is handled by our many staff team members. To be honest with you, we have had no serious problems with griefing, our staff team and our community are a strong group and work very well together.

    SafeHarbour is a small community of players from across the globe which started on 1st November 2020. We aim for a low stress, friendly environment where people can have fun and relax; a place where staff won't be needed, griefing doesn't exist and everyone is respected equally.

    We are a Java server running the latest PaperMC with a few changes in order to bring it back as close to the original vanilla as possible while allowing some minor changes for increased enjoyment. This is a randomly generated survival map, with a few plugin concessions made only to assist with grief prevention and overall community integration.

    Server features:

    ✔️ UK based server and owner. Small but great team of staff.

    ✔️ Difficulty is hard.

    ✔️ No AFK kick

    ✔️ Worldborder with a 7,500 block radius which will be expanded as needed.

    This is Light of Azur! A community based server playing vanilla Minecraft in 1.16.3

    The server was reset May 24th in anticipation of 1.16 and again August 21st for 1.16.2.

    We do have a few streamers (YouTube and Twitch, primarily).

    Some things to consider;

    This server has a dozen active members, most of which are young adults (20s and 30s); we are active, but do not always play every day. This community has been around for a couple years now and we are looking to pick up a few more active members.

    Survival server is semi-vanilla; meaning, we have a very lightly modded server with performance mods with very few, if any, in game mechanic changes.

    We have a creative flatworld server with world edit should anyone wish to test out builds or get creative prior to starting construction on the survival world.

    This server is still relatively new, but plans to expand various districts are in the works as well as a nether hub and commercial district.

    This server has a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment.

    CoCraftMC is an upcoming java minecraft server focused on developing a fun and engaging community.     Pseudo-HardcoreRP is a smaller minecraft server with a relatively small community of people interested in MinecraftRP (playing various roles in the community, building towns, working together and such (Comparable to servers like DreamSMP)).

    The server difficulty is set to hard and dying temporarily bans the player for an hour to make death more impactful. The server is currently intended for around 40 or so max players, and to be whitelisted only to encourage players to get to know each other and work together.

    The server has now been active for close to two weeks and we are already having some RP related conflicts and projects
    (Just to list a few: A medivalish town project and The Church of The Holy Egg vs Cult of the flint and steel)

It is 100% vanilla, except for a few datapacks, like mob head drops, being able to sit in chairs etc. The main purpose is being able to play vanilla Minecraft while interacting with other peaceful players. - There are about 5-7 Daily players depending on the day, though we are starting to add more players on the server - We have a shopping district, as well as some public farms - The server is just under half a year old.     Our small community has come back with a fresh new map, and we're looking for players to join us for the next adventure!

    We'll have a Shopping District, Mini-games, community projects, a great admin team, and of course... YOU!

    4. Lighting up caves and the area around your base/farms for efficiency of other players farms.
    5. AFKing is permitted, as long as you don't affect farm rates as stated above.
    6. All farms/storage systems are for personal use unless otherwise stated.
    7. Have a reasonable limit of entities loaded around you at one time to reduce lag. You may be asked to reduce the amount if it affects the server significantly.
    8. Although access to the nether roof will be permitted, we want portals to be at Y64 to make tunnels from the nether hub to be at a consistent height.
    9. Build your base/farms at least 300 blocks away from Spawn and the Shopping District unless they're for community access.

    Violations to these rules will result in a ban depending on how serious they are.
