Axolotls should dry faster in the Nether

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 03:37 AM PST

As we already know, axolotls need to be wet to live. That means they need to be in the water or under the rain. This behavior isn't new. Snow golems need appropriate conditions to exist too. But they also have a places where they can't live because they melt in them.

Axolotls are a bit more hardy but the Nether is still a place where it is difficult to live without water.

The Caves & Cliffs Update would be a great time to add in waterfalls.

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 11:06 AM PST

In the Buzzy Bees trailer, there was a waterfall that the bees went down to spot the nearby flower. Waterfalls would be a great opportunity to add those in. Another good Idea is another thing from the trailer: Waterfall splashing effects. When the waterfall's water hits the ground, the end of it will create misty particles like it did in the trailer. That concludes waterfalls in Minecraft.

make an out of water axolotl form

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 04:18 AM PST

make an out of water axolotl form

as you may know, the new snapshot added a new mob: the axolotl

they are cute and extremely useful and finally gave an utility to tropical fish item (or clown fish if you want). But there is a problem with this mob, when it is not in water, he dry and die. BUT if you perfectly know the axolotl, it becomes some sort lizard, so it adapts to the environement in front of him to survive. So my idea was that the axolotl will take a brand new form without the parts that makes him "aquatic" and remove his ability to attack monsters, in fact, he'll flee from the hostile mob, giving him a tropical fish will ATLEAST give you a regeneration ability, also like every mob you can pet he can sit down.

If you don't know what an out of water axolotl looks like, here a picture that shows it.

Magmacube's knockback depends on their size

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 05:19 PM PST

Isnt it annoying when like 12 small slimes are going after you and you keep gettin knocked from all directions? Big slimes should do the normal knockback they do now, the medium sized slime should do less than big hot slime, and small slimes do less than medium sized hot slime.

    Smooth Obsidian

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 10:56 AM PST

    Smooth Obsidian

Smooth obsidian would be obsidian (same qualities) but looks more... smooth.

Additionally, it can be used to make the nether portal.

Smooth obsidian is crafted by putting obsidian in the stonecutter. 1 obsidian = 1 smooth obsidian.

A new chainmail only enchantment called invisible threads

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 12:32 PM PST

The Invisible Threads enchantment will make chainmail armor invisible.

This would have 2 main uses:

    1. It would give players that want to be fully invisible with the invis potion some level of protection.
    2. It would give players that usually don't wear armor because they want to see their skin some level of protection.

The enchantment would have 2 levels. The first level would also lower the armor's defense by 1 point (which makes the feet piece useless). The second level has no penalty but you can't get it from the enchantment table.

The main reasons I think it should be chainmail only are:

    • As of now, the chainmail armor is way too hard to get in proportion to its strength so this could be a cool incentive.
    • The "logic" behind it is that the threads that make up the armor are so thin you can't see them very well, kinda like those threads used for irl magic. Doesn't really make sense but when did it stop anything from getting added.

New Overworld Structure - The Fortress

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 05:47 AM PST

New Overworld Structure - The Fortress

[I cant seem to find structures on the FPS list, So if this is a previous idea, I'm sorry.]

The Fortress is a small castle that can be found within oak/birch forests, plains, mountains, and taiga. In each biome it takes natural resources from the environment into the build. (so oak fortresses will use oak wood, etc.) Fortresses also come in two different states: Abandoned and Occupied. (self-explanatory)

Fortresses house a new kind of pillager, the Rager. The Rager is a 2 axe wielding manic, and he spins and does a sort of Aoe attack. He does fast damage, with 2 hearts of damage each hit with no armor on. Along with him are regular pillagers and illagers.

The fortress has a basement (guarded my pillagers) that houses good loot. This loot does not spawn in abandoned fortresses.

Fortresses which spawn in forests create a small clearing around them.

    Leave Feedback Below.

Green Axolotl should be an Agnes name tag Easter egg

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 09:52 AM PST

The green Axolotl that appeared in MC live seems to have been dropped in the newest snapshot. I recommend using Agnes as a nametag Easter Egg like jeb_ or dinnerbone to make the Axolotl green. She is such a memorable part of the Mojang team I think she deserves an Easter Egg.

Minecraft Bedrock Edition should have a pause option.

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 07:36 AM PST

I used to play Minecraft since TU7 for most of my life, and when I decided to buy Minecraft for Windows 10 I just couldn't know why, but for some reason you can't PAUSE THE GAME, it's one feature that is in all games, but for some reason it's isn't available on Win10 version of the game, and it's annoying to have to exit the world if you need something else like going to the bathroom or something like that.

Ground items should stack to 256 or higher

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 06:59 PM PST

In the most recent snapshot, when a shulker box is blown up, all of its items drop on the ground. This can make the game really laggy because of all hundreds of items that could be on the ground. For example, if you have a chest full of shulker boxes full of dirt, and two creepers come along, one to blow up the chest and one to blow up all the shulker boxes, there will be an absolute enormous amount of dirt on the ground, causing huge lag.

I think that if you throw up to 256 items on one stack, it should combine into just 3-5 items spinning on the ground. This would reduce lag by a whole bunch, now only having ~150 items on the ground, instead of the previous thousands.

    Feedback welcome

EDIT: I do NOT mean change the stack amount from 64 to 256, that would be bad. I mean for items that are dropped on the ground to stack in large amounts to reduce lag.

    Caves & Cliffs: Cave Gnomes

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 06:39 AM PST

    Caves & Cliffs: Cave Gnomes

In current caves, mining ores can be boring and not really challenging, some ores in some places aren't guarded by anyone. A gnomes are miners that will guard their ore. Gnomes will spawn near big clusters/veins of ore. They will attack you with their pickaxes if you will try to steal/mine ore near them! I'm suggesting to add two variants of gnomes: Emerald Gnome and Gold gnome. Emerald gnome will spawn only in mountain biomes and he will be guard only emerald ore, so mining it will be a bit more challenging. And the gold gnome will spawn in badlands biomes, so big amount of gold ore wont be so easy to mine anymore.

EDIT: Clarified a point a bit

    How I imagine them:

    (Gold gnome and Emerald gnome)

Rubber Block | New Redstone Component ( Dyeable Non-Sticky "Slime Block" )

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 03:46 AM PST

Crafted with a slime block, 4 honeycombs, and 4 coals. This new Block will still has the elasticity of a slime block but won't stick to any other blocks except themselves.

It can be dyed with 16 colours ( the original one has a bit similliar colour to white hardened clay ). When it get dyed, it will only stick to the same coloured rubber blocks

More details : It's a "full block", it's not transparent, it won't extinguish itself when get lit up by fire ( like netherack ), it won't stick with slime or honey block, and it won't slow you when you're walking on it

This Block is very useful in a way just like the honey block, so don't worry, it won't replace the original feature of slime block, instead, it will give more flexibilities and possibilites in many redstone contraptions and other aspect like buildings 😉

    Hydrating Axotyls on moss.

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 08:25 AM PST

It is self explanatory, but this would be because of the environment Axotyls would spawn in, the lush cave. Moss is moist most of the time, and it would make sense for them to be able to safely walk around in their environment. Other wet blocks could also have the same effect on them. Maybe splash potions should reset the timer too?

    Mountain villages

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 07:32 PM PST

I've been thinking about, especially with the new caves and cliffs update, about special mountain villagers that live in the side of the large mountains/cliffs. To start with the effects of coming into the high parts; you are feeling fatigued because of the low oxygen and if you run you get slowness for a couple seconds after running a bit and you lose hunger quicker. And the villages themselves; and mostly normal plains looking. However there are only small huts of wood and most structures are of stone. The villager trading system is quite different as well. Because emeralds only spawn in the mountains and are more accessible, they are cheaper and like paper money. These villagers run on lapis(maybe gold or Redstone or copper idk) and diamonds, which while can be traded are like netherite to diamond or gold to paper money so it's only in low quantities and high rank villagers. While there are many downs to villages here the chests carry good loot (emeralds, gold, copper. Rarer things such as iron and diamonds as well) like piglins, they really like their loot just as much as surviving so they would give more expensive trades. Iron is rare here so I don't recommend making automatic iron farms here. The villages don't need iron golems since they make sure to lantern up the place and no hostile mobs can clime up there. Except phantoms. This might unfortunately be too different or not get noticed and die on new but I thought I might as well write it out and remember it. (More info in comments)

Add some kind of flat, glowing block. Neon Lamps.

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 12:49 PM PST

Add some kind of flat, glowing block. Neon Lamps.

    Neon Lamps

Hear me out, have you ever been building and thought man, if only this block glowed? Or maybe none of the light sources matched your palette? That's where neon lamps would come in. A flat, glowing block, similar to emissive textures already in the game, it just needs its own block.

    Examples

    ooooo

    aaaaaa

    wooow

    Crafting

Obviously, there are plenty of ways they could be crafted, and if they decided it would not be a lamp the recipes would completely change, but this is my take on potential recipes.

8 glass surrounding redstone to create a base block

8 neon lamps +1 dye of your choice to color them

    Functionality

The lamps could be powered by redstone, to flesh out the idea of electric lights, and assist in more modern builds. Adding more redstone powered lighting options would make things like redstone displays easier to manage and less noisy, unlike the current redstone lamps.

    Final Words

Overall, I think a flat glowing block would be a great addition to building everywhere. The concrete blocks with their bright, bold colors are one of my favorite materials to use at the moment and I know plenty of people agree. I would love to know your opinions in the comments, maybe recipe improvements or other ideas? I wanna hear it!

    Tinted Glass Bottle

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 09:45 AM PST

This is made with three glass ### -#- #-# The - represents tinted glass and the # represents nothing. When made it looks like a glass bottle but darker. It works just like a glass bottle but the special thing about it is it conceals the potion inside so instead of being called Potion of Strength it would be called Tinted Potion. It would be a black potion and wouldn't differ in effect. This item would be really useful in mini games as their is no way of telling whether it's a poison potion or a regeneration potion. This is a small thing which would make many more things possible.

    Fix Piglin pearl trading

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 03:06 PM PST

At this point, everyone and their mother knows about the speed running controversy involving Geosquare and Dream, in which Geosquare is alleging (with strong statistical evidence to back him up) that Dream altered the rates of piglin pearl trades and blaze rod drops to get better runs.

Now I'm not going to make too many comments about the situation itself or take a side on a developing situation. But I'm sure Dream, Geosquare, and everyone can agree on a couple general points. The first being that it is obviously never ok to cheat. And the second is that the Nether update has devastated the speed running community with a few key changes, the biggest of which is Piglin pearl trading.

Piglin pearl trading is the best, worst, least consistent, most frustrating, and only viable way to get ender pearls if you're serious about getting a world record, and it has only gotten worse with the recent small update that cut the ender pearl quantity in half. Piglin pearl trading is entirely random, and it's for that exact reason that it's a terrible way to complete the game. I know of a good way to improve Piglin pearl trading that will alleviate speed runners.

Piglins with swords are more likely to trade pearls, and when they do they do it at higher quantities. This suggestion would go along with an entire trading system in which we can use golden tools to help moderate what the piglins drop when we trade with them (ex: sword-higher chance for and greater quantity of ender pearl, raw porkchop, pickaxe-higher chance for and greater quantity of blackstone, netherbrick, shovel-higher chance for a greater quantity of gravel, soul sand, etc). Golden tools would basically serve as a rough equivalent to work station blocks, in which we can manipulate Piglin trades by giving them a particular tool to work with. Piglins with no tools or a crossbow would have the current loot table by default. This would really help speed runners because it would give them a way to get more pearls from piglins consistently by giving them a golden sword, and this would be especially helpful since many piglins naturally spawn with golden swords already. That and the new trading system would make any desired commodity from piglins easier to acquire if you give them the appropriate tool.

Note Blocks Hold Their Sound When Powered

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 02:31 PM PST

I've been messing around with note blocks lately and I noticed there's no way to hold a note block's sound longer. I think note blocks should hold their sound when powered by a redstone signal. You could go even further with this if note blocks were softer/quieter when the restone signal strength is lower.

    Seared

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 02:25 PM PST

I would like a new mob in the nether. I know the nether update already came out but I thought I'd say my idea anyway

-A new form of a Piglin called a Seared would spawn under lava.

-Seared can be spawned from a Zombified Piglin being under lava for 20 seconds.

-When Seared attack you, you will always get lit on fire.

-This mob would be neutral, it would also stand up for Zombified Piglins if you attack them.

-They can be seen riding striders sometimes, just like regular Zombified Piglins.

-They will sometimes spawn outside of lava, but it always has to be 5 blocks away or less from lava.

-Seared can also spawn on top of Magma Cubes, creating a Magma Cube Jockey. They have full control over it so the Magma Cube wont be hostile until you hit a Seared/Zombified Piglin or kill the Seared on top of it.

    Mobs can eat crops

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 08:56 AM PST

I find it weird how sheep like to munch on grass yet the food they love is wheat. I feel it would make sense if mobs could walk on your crops and eat them ( destroying the soil ofc) and each mob would eat their food; cows and sheep eat wheat, pigs eat carrots/potatoes, chickens eat wheat that has not grown, etc
