Nearly 10 years ago the first civserver, Civcraft was created with the idea of Minecraft being the host of an. experiment. The experiment was if true civilization and culture as possible in a virtual world. While the original civserver civcraft has been dead for 5 years the experiment still lives on in Civuniverse. DO NOT BE MISTAKEN Civuniverse is not just a plain Hardcore survival minecraft server. There are plugins that give players tools to build nations and prosper. Such as Realisticbiomes which make crops grow extremely slow and limit crop growth to certain biomes making conflict over land an issue Nations in civuniverse as the same with nations in real life. Another plugin you will find on Civuniverse is PrisonPearl which allows any Nation to enforce their land claims and interests by banning or in lore terms "imprison" them from the main server world thus trapping them in the end. This is achieved by killing one with a pearl in your Hotbar. The only way to free the player from the End is to destroy the pearl the player is held in. As a result Nation's build bases called vaults and bunkers to protect their prisoners' to prevent a breakout. These Bases put faction bases to shame as some Vaults can contain upwards of a million obsidian or more. It is up to the players to maintain justice in the server. Admins only intervene in the experiment to stop cheating & harassment and doxing There are many other custom plugins such as Factory mod, which add factories for industrialization or citadel that makes your builds stronger from being damaged from grief and raid. All in all these plugins are what makes a Civserver like Civuniverse possible and are so unique one must see it for themselves to even begin to comprehend the scale and depth of the plugins themselves. | [Wanted] [Vanilla] Looking for a new HermitCraft-like SMP Posted: 19 Feb 2021 08:44 AM PST Hey all, I'm looking to jump into a fresh world with a couple of other players. Preferably the server is very new or even better: not started yet. I like to start in a completely new world, as it's easier to form and become a part of the community. It doesn't need to be a big or existing community. I haven't actually watched Hermitcraft in many years, but I'm familiar with the majority of plugins that they use and have become somewhat of the standard for SMP servers. Not having those plugins won't be a deal breaker however. I have been playing Minecraft on and off for about a decade now and love to build, both decoratively and farms. That's partly why I want to start on a new server too, because then I can help with setting up community farms (, shops and tidy up spawn when needed). There is a focus on building here, and we are looking for new members to join us! We're a friendly and diverse community of players from around the world. | Posted: 19 Feb 2021 08:13 AM PST AmbitionCraft is a small server which focuses on both the decorative & technical aspects of the game, the server is almost 1 year old - Here is a progress video from 6 months ago https://youtu.be/75fj8sAyPpU . We aim to keep the server going over the next 10 years with no resets. All decisions/recruitment are controlled democratically by the active player base. . We have large goals, however members are welcome to do/build anything - (we would like to organize public areas such as spawn chunks/endhub/netherhub) - we have a storage-hub which filters most items in the game which everyone is free to use. . We already completed some large-scale projects including a fully decorated & light suppressed guardian farm, storage hub, quad witch farm, terraformed spawn chunk perimeter, iron farm, wither skeleton farm, greenhouse (all tree types + leaf farm), many cool bases etc... Some of our current projects that are underway includes dolphin highway, netherhub, endhub, encoded infinite villager hall... and creating our own archives for tech, trees, world edit functions & more :) . In our survival we use carpet mod for monitoring & enabling a few useful technical features, we use world edit in our cmp & voxel sniper in our spigot cmp. . We are specifically looking for players who can motivate themselves to complete builds & projects be it Decorative or Technical & are keen to work with, learn and engage with other. We do not require members to have a lot of technical or decorative knowledge, as long as you are willing to learn. . Important . We have a strict 2 week trial system, (which is to see if you are enthusiastic to start/manage projects & engage with others & have the time free to invest) - Then a 1-2 month new member status which is to see if you are interested in the server long term & have contributed/engaged enough to become full permanent member. do not take this likely: Do not apply unless you are sure you are ok with the above ^ we do not want to waste your time. If you do not like the idea of contributing hundreds of hours into this server while struggling with tedious technical problems/logic & grinding for days on end, or using a creative world/worldedit to design your decorations + have a bunch of free time to invest, you probably will not pass trial \o/ .
