Replace the diamond to emerald Villager trade with amethyst shard to emerald Posted: 26 Apr 2021 04:48 AM PDT I was thinking about how to make amethyst more valuable and I came up with this idea. This would make amethyst farms more valuable. Currently amethyst is not that valuable, other than tinted glass, spyglass and the blocks. The trade could be 1-3 shards for one emerald. What do you think? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2021 07:51 AM PDT We can trade with civilizations from all dimensions, except the End. We can trade with villagers, we can barter with piglins, so we should also be able to interact positively with endermen. This mechanic would be called "swapping", and it involves placing blocks Of course, this one would be the most dangerous trading. You need to wear a pumpkin on your head to not agro them, and it works like this: You place a block in front of the enderman. The enderman, if interested, will pick it up, and then place HIS block to you. If he's not interested, he will simply teleport away, but you can try again. The endermen will only trade blocks that are not on that dimension. For example, if you're in the End, it can trade overworld and Nether blocks, but not End blocks. If you're in the Nether, it can trade overworld and End blocks, and if you're in the overworld, it can trade End and Nether blocks, you get the idea This mechanic would be cool because it gives a reason as to why endermen steal blocks. It also gives a little lore, because they're the only mobs to be in every dimension It also makes it easier for you to get other dimension blocks when in the Nether, End or Overworld. Really cool. Edit 1: some people have pointed out the endermen could pick up blocks you didn't mean to trade, and I suggested holding an eye of ender in your off-hand. But this can't be done in Bedrock edition. I just wanna point out it WILL be added in the future, but not now, so I guess we'll have to wait for it to be added. Or maybe keep it in your hotbar? I also think it will be good to elaborate. Endermen will not pick up ALL nether blocks, they mainly just trade naturally generated ones, so not blackstone bricks or netherite blocks. This idea is mainly to expand endermen and give them a unique trading technique. Also the process is SUPPOSED to be really slow, you can't directly barter with them like with piglins because otherwise exploring the nether becomes pointless. This is just to have some interdimensional stuff in early game that isn't too OP [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2021 09:41 AM PDT There would be a 1/100 chance for a spider to be brown. That's it. Some could call it an old reference to when spiders were brown. On a side note, I wish the easter egg flair was still here so I could use it right now lol. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2021 12:19 PM PDT I would love to see the skulk sensor output different pulse strength when a different note on a note block plays, similar to flipping a page in a lecturn. This could allow for better wireless redstone controls and more diverse application. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2021 11:39 AM PDT I think they should be found like saddles and horse armor, in iron diamond and gold of course. Enchantable with frost walker, soul speed, depth strider, and feather falling. Any other suggestions? [link] [comments]
Giving emeralds/food to a nitwit increases your reputation Posted: 26 Apr 2021 11:38 AM PDT Nitwits are essentially the poor jobless people of villager society- other than the fact that they have beds in houses, but we will ignore that. I think that if you gave a nitwit an emerald or a potato/carrot/bread, the nitwit will speak to other villagers, you get better reputation which means discounts. These discounts could be: 5% discount for each emerald 1% for each potato, beet or carrot 3% for each bread Maxes out at 7% Additionally, the discounts go away after about 5 in-game days, making it not OP. This addition will:

Create Animations with Droppers and Item Frames Posted: 26 Apr 2021 05:50 AM PDT I was thinking about potentially vanilla ways to allow players to create map art animations, which are some of the coolest things I have ever seen in Minecraft, but only accessible via manual manipulation, plugins, or command blocks. This suggestion would allow an alternate method. Basically it is this: allow Droppers to insert items into item frames, causing the previous item (if there was one) to drop out. This would allow us to build mechanisms to automatically swap map arts and create animations within Survival mode. There could be some problems with the random slot dropping of the Dropper, but I'm not here to give it an overhaul. That could potentially be overcome by some sort of clock. Tldr: Droppers should be able to place items into item frames, allowing us to make map art animations. [link] [comments]
If you give an emerald to a baby villager, they will give you discounts when they grow up. Posted: 26 Apr 2021 11:33 AM PDT I think this makes sense as if a random being gave you a 5$ dollar bill, you would probably remember it forever. This makes sense as child villagers probably don't get that much emeralds and therefore value small amounts (just how a 5 year old will freak out about a 5$ bill). The discounts won't be THAT great and may be like 6% cheaper? Not that great but still kinda worth it. [link] [comments]
Chain Lift Rails and Magnetic rails Posted: 26 Apr 2021 03:07 PM PDT Since half of the caves and cliffs update is about caves and mining, minecarts could finally get some new features. All rails should be placeable on the sides and bottoms of blocks, but minecarts will still fall off of most rails due to gravity Chain lift rails: Like the ones found on roller coasters. Chain lift rails move minecarts in a direction, similar to powered rails, but are much slower. Minecarts will not fall off of them even if sideways or upside down. Right clicking them reverses their direction. A redstone signal will also reverse their direction. Their texture sprite has arrow indicators showing which direction they are moving. (Crafted with iron ingots, redstone, chains, and sticks) Magnetic Rails: This idea is a little more outlandish, but hear me out. Like powered rails, they need a redstone signal to work. When active, minecarts cannot fall off of them. They will slow down carts slightly, but not as much as inactive powered rails do. When not powered, they behave functionally identical to regular rails, and don't slow minecarts down. If the magnetism idea is too outlandish for Minecraft, they could just be called "locking rails" or something. (Crafted with copper ingots, redstone, sticks, and nether quartz) Entities will not fall out of upside down minecarts, but minecart chests will open up and items will spill out when upside down. Posted: 26 Apr 2021 09:34 AM PDT Occasionally, wandering traders will visit a village and will talk to the villagers while also still trading with the player. They would restock their trades and could also sleep in a bed if one is available. They would even breed with villagers and can therefore have babies. These babies have a 25% chance of leaving when they grow up and becoming a wandering trader too. The wandering trader can also give the player discounts depending on what the villagers say about the player. The trader can also increase prices if they hear bad things. Examples of things they could hear is: Hero of the village, Zombification, Good Customer, Assault and Murder. This addition would:

Posted: 26 Apr 2021 04:18 AM PDT Baby Skeleton has the same behavior and walking speed as baby zombies. He shoots faster arrows from the bow, which have less damage. He also has less HP. It's just a simple idea, so you can improve it or give me some tips. Thanks [link] [comments]
Bonemealing rooted dirt should spread it to nearby dirt blocks Posted: 26 Apr 2021 07:49 AM PDT Rooted dirt is a new dirt- type block found under azalea trees, marking lush caves. It can be used for breaking up dirt floors and similar things. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2021 10:26 AM PDT I have an idea that was based off a youtuber. Imagine having safe houses or little buildings in caves that have a bed food and coal to make torches. This would be useful as it can help newer players or early game use in exploring the deepdark. These place should be rare but easy enough to locate as they will be exposed in caves. Just an idea [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Apr 2021 08:09 PM PDT First off, I want to say that I am apparently not the first person to think of this, the topic below have some good ideas I think should be checked out. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360073575332-Pangolins https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360073625931-Pangolins I came up with this idea on my own, I just want to point out other threads and revitalize the idea for approval. I just love these guys too damn much! Pangolins are a scaly little animal that I think could bring some more life to the game. They are currently on the endangered species list, fitting in with mojangs theme of awareness. I love these guys and hope you do too! Here is some more info https://www.worldwildlife.org/species/pangolin First of all, these guys will be interesting, as they are one of the only passive mobs to come out at night. Pangolins are nocturnal as they have to hunt for insects. Speaking of which, means that they hunt spiders! Now you might be thinking about the words "come out", that's because they dig tunnels. I think there would be a "pangolin hole opening" block, this will work similarly to a beehive. These blocks can only be found in hot biomes, including jungles, Wich is kind of an issue as their natural predators are cats and ocelots. Whenever they are threatened they curl up into a ball. I also think that they should shed their scales every so often. These scales can be crafted into a variety of things! This means if you want to get their scales, you have to go out at night to find and get some. I would love to have some input on other ideas, speaking of which, here is the feedback page: [link] [comments]
Have “Long boats” as well as regular boats Posted: 25 Apr 2021 03:52 PM PDT My truly basic suggestion would be adding a "longboat" that is a bed+chest+boat for long oceanic travel. Helps have a temporary base traversing long rivers or oceans. [link] [comments]
The gap of durability between iron and diamond is huge Posted: 26 Apr 2021 09:23 AM PDT Diamond tools has about 1500 durability, while iron is 250, the upgrade from diamond to netherrite is far smaller. Steel plating is crafted by coal and raw iron. It's used on Iron gear in a smithing table to reinforce it. Steel plated gear is slightly faster than iron and has around 600-700 durability. I think it could be good in the mid game for players who hasn't gathered a lot of diamonds yet. [link] [comments]

New buttons and pressure plates. Posted: 26 Apr 2021 02:08 PM PDT Since 1.16 we got Blackstone buttons and pressure plates how about we extend this to andesite, diorite, granite, prismarine and tuff. [link] [comments] |
