Putting an Enchated Book in a Lectern should display you a short description of the enchantment Posted: 20 Apr 2021 09:44 AM PDT Basically, you should be able to put an enchanted book in a Lectern, and if you open it, you'll see one page with the enchantment's description, like: 'Efficiency' - Max. level: V - Can be put on: Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, etc. (probably a much longer list) - Increases the mining speed of your tool (maybe could provide some lore/flavor as well) If there is more than one enchantment, you'll be able to see multiple pages, one for each enchantment. Additionally, Enchanted Books put in Lecterns could behave like the book of the Enchantment Table. I think this would be a helpful thing, especially for new players who are still learning the enchantments. What do you think? [link] [comments]
Emerald Beacons can affect Villagers and Iron Golems Posted: 20 Apr 2021 01:08 AM PDT This is quite a simple idea, and I think it makes sense. If a beacon base is 100% emerald then the effects it gives out can also affect villagers and iron golems. There's not much point to giving them haste or jump boost, but regeneration, resistance, speed, and (for iron golems) strength all have their uses. This concept could of course be expanded to other materials, such as having diamond beacons affect pets. Here is a link to this idea on feedback site, if you care about that. Put suggestions for an update in between 1.17a and 1.17b in rejected. Posted: 20 Apr 2021 05:31 AM PDT I think it should go in the rejected because I often see suggestions for an update in between the 2 1.17 updates, which completely undermines the point of the split. The whole point of it is so they can have more time to work on the generation, not take a big break from it and rush it at the last moment. So yeah. That's my suggestion. You should be able to place buckets of fish inside empty or full cauldrons of water! Posted: 20 Apr 2021 08:28 AM PDT In the latest edition of Minecraft, you can fill a cauldron with a bucket of water. But you can't fill it with a bucket of tropical fish or normal fish for that matter. It just floods the area around it. Probably something to do with the hitboxes of the fish or something. However, I think it would be quite cool to be able to dump a bucket of fish inside a cauldron and have them swim around in it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Apr 2021 09:30 PM PDT Quite simply, you should be able to hang signs off of chains. Instead of a normal wooden post, the sign also has a part of a chain (only when connected to a chain of course). Having a separate kind of sign for chains would probably be unecessary. Signs can be hung between horizontal or below vertical chains. Post inspired by a sign post about hanging signs off the ceiling. [link] [comments]
There should be an Advanced Structures Option, kind of like the Amplified World option. Posted: 20 Apr 2021 10:11 AM PDT For example, Desert Temples would be a larger Pyramid with more detail than before or Villages could spawn with more buildings that are larger, etc. [link] [comments]
Renamed Mobs should not despawn in peaceful Posted: 20 Apr 2021 03:58 AM PDT
Posted: 20 Apr 2021 01:44 AM PDT Using six Cocoa Beans vertically in a 3x3 crafting grid will create a "block" of chocolate, which is really a food item. Restores 2 hunger which isn't much, but restores a whopping 4.5 saturation. This is because chocolate is filling. May also give a slight speed up in movement for a few seconds (low chance). Add Command Blocks/Spawners in Creative Menu Posted: 20 Apr 2021 10:13 AM PDT Adding command blocks and spawners to the creative menu, would make it easier that do not know how to use commands to get them. Maybe even a new tab for creative only blocks? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Apr 2021 06:26 AM PDT My brother suggested a quill Crafted with 1 feather and 1 ink sac to edit books and signs with. I think this could be a great edition to the game [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Apr 2021 07:47 AM PDT Back when the offhand slot was first added, mojang was going to add a quiver item but eventually decided against it as they weren't sure how to make it work. Now that bundles are a thing, I think it would be a good time to re-add the quiver. It would have the same UI as a bundle, and work the same way as one, but rather than being limited to one stack of anything, it would allow up to three stacks of only arrow types. Bows and crossbows will prioritise whatever is in the first slot of the quiver in your offhand (or possibly chest-plate slot with a new visual for wearing one?) [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Apr 2021 04:12 PM PDT Currently the only way to get powder snow is to wait for it to snow and then wait longer for it to random tick into increasing a level until you get a full bucket/block of powder snow, but this would allow you to speed up the process manually if you wanted to. Of course, mass cauldron farms of powder snow would still be faster, but this would speed up the process for people who don't want to use a bunch of iron on a powder snow farm. Add a way to change where the HUD/GUI is on the screen and add overlays with resource packs. Posted: 20 Apr 2021 08:53 AM PDT I think there should be a json file in the models folder in the minecraft assets folder. It would be how it is now by default, but texture pack makers could alter the json file to change where different things show up on the screen(like health, armor, xp bar, etc) this would allow people to do things like move the armor bar to where the hunger bar is and remove the hunger bar for packs meant for minigames that don't have hunger, for example. There could also be an empty(by default) file that just gets overlaid on top of the screen, which could be used for custom texture packs for adventure maps to set atmosphere, or do something like apply a colour tint. TL;DR: Mojang has added Shader support through resource packs in the snapshots- they may as well add more features like this- and there aren't any downsides to adding this. Sorry if this is the wrong flair. [link] [comments]
Spawners in desert and snowy biomes Posted: 20 Apr 2021 02:51 PM PDT In desert biomes zombie dungeons should have husk spawners instead and in snowy biomes skeleton dungeons should have stray spawners. [link] [comments]

Beacons should work with copper! Posted: 20 Apr 2021 01:17 PM PDT Don't get me wrong, the beacons will only produce the beam. It might be useless for most things but could be really useful for builds with a lot of beacons in them, as you wouldn't have to waste diamonds, emeralds or iron. Let me know what you think, perhaps if it was weathered it could give slowness to all players in the area. [link] [comments]
Something me and my friend came up with Posted: 20 Apr 2021 09:11 AM PDT So in the game we have some crops and trees. But we thought of an agricultural update where new trees (like Sakura trees) and generate. Or newer crops like corn. A "sprinkler" where a larger area get nutrients from 1 source block. The sprinkler can be used through red stone timers. And wild crops that grow near rivers and lakes [link] [comments]
Make shovels pick up cake like its a spoon. Posted: 20 Apr 2021 09:05 AM PDT Think about it. We eat cakes with a spoon or a fork. Cakes in Minecraft cannot be picked up in any way without a plugin or a mod. I think that a shovel would be able to pick up cakes so its more useful. [link] [comments]
camp structures with a map table direct you to the nearest village Posted: 20 Apr 2021 01:45 AM PDT Villages don't feel special since they're so common now, and the feeling of surviving alone in the wilderness is hard to find. But if they're too uncommon, that's also bad for player progression. That's why 2/3 of village spawns in new chunks should only be a camp that has a map table inside leading to the nearest village, like treasure maps. This would make finding villages easy while not crowding the world with so many. It also makes the world feel bigger and gives more suggestion of villagers exploring, like the wandering trader. where does he sleep at night? A tent where he plans his next journey! Posted: 20 Apr 2021 01:51 PM PDT Like beetroot it's only found in villages and drops its self with seeds One rice does half a hunger point but combining 8 rice and a bowl will do 4 points and can be stacked to 16 Rice can only grow in waterlogged farmland [link] [comments]
Search bar in the Languages menu? Posted: 20 Apr 2021 03:59 PM PDT The language menu is rather confusing. Not all of the languages are arranged in a logical way. A search bar would be quite useful. [link] [comments]
Why don't we have candy apples yet? Posted: 20 Apr 2021 10:01 AM PDT Okay so I've been thinking about this one for YEARS. Minecraft has had sugar forever, and apples are now dropping at a better rate. So why haven't they made any recipes including apples? After all this time, its only function has been for eating and composting but never crafting. So here's what I propose: candy apples/caramel. Put the sugar into the furnace and smelt it down to get caramel. Eating caramel alone could have effects like speed (sugar rush), slowness (sticky candy), and something weird. To craft the candy apple, add in one column in a crafting table caramel (top row), apple (middle row), and a stick (bottom row). Results from eating it could be speed (from the sugar rush) or even something weird like night vision. Maybe even recipes could include a Golden Apple or an Enchanted Golden Apple for stacked effects. Either way, I'm just mad that it still doesn't exist yet and thought it'd make a cool suggestion lol. Do with this information what you will (crafting recipe in the table below).

Dangerous mobs in peaceful should be passive Posted: 20 Apr 2021 11:43 AM PDT Before I start, I want to make something clear. This is NOT a parity post. I am aware that this behaviour is implemented in bedrock. However, it is only partly exhibited, as not all mobs share it. The Actual SuggestionIn peaceful mode, it is extremely hard, or in some cases, downright impossible, to obtain loot normally dropped from hostile mobs. These include totems, slimeballs and tridents. So I believe that hostile mobs should become passive in peaceful difficulty, but still retain specific behaviour towards other mobs e.g. pillagers attacking villagers, foxes hunting chickens etc. This would enable far more possibilities for farms and resources available in peaceful difficulty. Edit: The mob drops are more common in chest loot while in peaceful. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Apr 2021 07:42 AM PDT Now if you guys don't know on the HermitCraft server they have a datapack that allows you to customize armour stands completely with each element being completely customizable. I have long wanted this in Vanilla but couldn't come up with something Minecrafty. Until now, introducing the chisel *name subject to change*, a new tool that allows you to interact with an armour stand by right-clicking on it. which brings up three tabs - Advanced Customization, Poses and Model. EDIT : It appears I've forgotten to add the crafting recipe, sorry folks, anyway, I think it should be 1 iron and 1 stick in any formation. Advanced Customization This is pretty much a word-for-word copy of the HermitCraft datapack, except with the newly added feature of armour stand vertical rotation ( Think player flying with elytra or swimming ). Poses This allows the user to select predetermined poses and will be a port from bedrock edition armour stands including new ones such as basic sitting, lying down etc. Models and Properties This allows the user to select or unselect certain parts of the armour stand, for example no baseplate or no arms, while also allowing for the size of the armour stand to be changed in a range of 4, 1/2 of a block to 4 blocks tall. Properties include gravity or light emission ( using glow ink ). A freshly crafted armour stand will behave like normal armour stands do until edited by the chisel. The chisel also has the potential to be used in archeology as an engraver or stencil on the clay vases, I believe it should have the functionality of deoxidising copper by right clicking. CREDITS: These features are mainly taken from the Vanilla Tweaks Armour Stands + Datapack as well as YouTuber FoxyNoTail's Armour Stands + Addon for Bedrock Edition, please check him out because he almost single-handedly runs the Bedrock modding community.
