| CivClassic [SMP][Semi-Vanilla]{1.16.5}{Nation building}{Trade} Posted: 17 Apr 2021 09:40 AM PDT CivClassic is based on the Minecraft civilization server genre started by the now defunct CivCraft. This server is over 3 years old, and has transitioned from the original 1.10 to 1.16.5! Hacking and cheating is not allowed, and excessive harassment can lead to punishment. But otherwise you can play the server however you want with no admin intervention. We have a suite of plugins developed over the course of many years that give you the power to control the world in the ways most other Minecraft servers do not:
Explore a large map rich with towns and civilizations, some active and some abandoned ruins. But beware, even abandoned towns may have other nations which watch over their ruins and will imprison looters! You can explore our world map in this player-created map which shows you the many nations and impressive world-crossing infrastructure that exists. If you're interested in history, there is a rich and lengthy history that can be found on our player-created wiki that contains information about the various nations past and present, events, wars, even the in-game trading card game CivTCG. Are you interested in politics? Many nations have been formed around political ideologies! Mount September is a nation created in the spirit of "minarchy" after the collapse of a previous similar nation called Mt Augusta. Others such as Icenia are democratic in style but with a permanent leader, others still are dictatorships, oligarchies, or even tribal. | Posted: 17 Apr 2021 08:39 AM PDT Who are we? -No Building redstone/afk farms (Exception: Skeleton/zombie/spider/cavespider spawner XP farm and cacti farm) - Play along with structural anomalies (Example: Piston doors with locks, dont break through them or prisons: when trapped dont just use your fists to break out, it's not fun nor logical) - No unnecessary griefing (Allowed: Breaking someones wall a little bit to get in etc.) (Disallowed: breaking their houses etc.) -No totems & elytras and potions (Contradicts with lore + ruins the experience) How do I join? We plan to have no Overworld resets, although we do periodically reset the outer end islands. We are always on top of updates, moving to each new patch as they are released and stable. I am fairly new to modded as I have focused on Vanilla survival for the past 5 years (except from optifine and sodium of which I have used for better performance) so I am not looking for a modpack that it too over the top or crazy. Before that period, modded minecraft was different and something that I was knowledgeable in but obviously, as all things do, the modded scene has changed. I would quite like to get back into it because modded minecraft is something I miss playing with. I have been playing minecraft since 2013, having been an admin then owner of a server, I believe I can be a trustworthy player. The main aspects I focus on are exploration and building, making things look good is the main aspect of minecraft that I focus on in the game, along side exploring the world and raiding dungeons. I like to help out often with neighbor's and (if there is one) I will contribute to the shopping area/district selling items, blocks and sometimes services to help other players.
