Echo in the upcoming giant caves Posted: 21 Jun 2021 08:14 AM PDT It would just improve the overall experience to hear your footsteps and other sounds echo in the giant caverns. [link] [comments] |
Hydranium: A Diamond Sidegrade Posted: 21 Jun 2021 12:21 AM PDT (Not sure what flair this would go under, so mods, feel free to change it.) TLDR: Hydranium is a diamond sidegrade that while being weaker than Netherite, has a bunch of different water-related bonuses that make up for it. It seems that Netherite will be the final tier of gear. It's the best material in the game, with the tools having increased efficiency/durability and the armor adding increased durability/protection, alongside knockback resistance. Everyone seems to think that Netherite will always be the best. However, what if there was something like Netherite? Not on par with Netherite, but simply rivaling it. I shall introduce to you, Hydranium! It would be an ore found in the oceans, around y=20 to y=10. Hydranium gear would be made in a smithing table using Hydranium ingots, similar to how you make Netherite gear. All Hydranium gear gets a 10% durability increase due to being combined with diamond gear. Gear that can be made with Hydranium: Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots, Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe Netherite is more of a strong and durable material due to being heated up in the Nether. Hydranium, however, would have some special properties due to being from the water. Hydranium weapons would: -Do increased damage to the durability of the enemy's armor -Gain an automatic, but slow Mending effect when being held in either hand when the user is in water -Get their attack cooldown shortened by half when in water Hydranium tools would: -Apply an automatic Aqua Affinity-like effect when being used in water -Would act like the user has Haste 1 when the user is under 2 or more blocks of water (For reference, you are able to swim when in 2 blocks of water) -Gain an automatic, but slow Mending effect when being held in either hand when the user is in water Hydranium armor would: -Gain an automatic, but slow Mending effect when being held in either hand when the user is in water -Apply an automatic Unbreaking 1 effect to any Hydranium armor the user is currently wearing when in water -Applies an automatic Dolphin's Grace effect when a full set of Hydranium armor is being used in water -When wearing a full Hydranium armor set while in water, right clicking and holding a Hydranium sword for 2 seconds will allow you to propel yourself into the air (The equivalent of a Trident with Riptide 1) Misc. ~Lorewise, Hydranium is iron ore that's been underwater for way too long. ~Hydranium is made like iron and golden ingots, you smelt the raw version of it in a furnace. ~Hydranium would be a sort of prismarine color. (I'll add pictures of everything tomorrow when I wake up.) ~It would have 5% more enchanting luck than diamond. ~Drowned will rarely spawn holding raw Hydranium. Lorewise, they found it, thought the ocean gave it to them, and kept it on them. (This is as rare as a Drowned holding a Nautilus shell.) -All Hydranium weapons/tools will do the same damage as unenchanted diamond weapons/tools. All Hydranium armor will give the same protection/armor points as unenchanted diamond armor. Enchantments will obviously still affect these things. ~Guardians and Elder Guardians will be neutral to you if you wear a full set of Hydranium armor. Lorewise, due to Hydranium's color, they think you're similar to them. ~All fire-related mobs in the Nether are now hostile to you. Lorewise, Hydranium is from water, and water isn't allowed in the Nether. The fire-related mobs there know this, and can sense the aquatic part of Hydranium is a threat to them. ~You now deal 1.5x damage to any fire-related mobs. (For example, magma cube and blaze.) Lorewise, the aquatic part of Hydranium helps put out the fiery part of the mob. Sorry this is really long, but ty for reading! [link] [comments] |
Looking at the sun through a telescope gives the player blindness Posted: 21 Jun 2021 02:10 PM PDT It makes sense, it's a funny easteregg, and it's a psa to kids about not looking at the sun... or something... All of the parts are in the game, and it wouldn't ruin anything or be overpowered or anything. Edit: I meant spyglass [link] [comments] |

Zombies should attack Pillagers Posted: 21 Jun 2021 07:30 AM PDT If Pillagers are basically bad Villagers then they should aggro Zombies the same. Just a quick thought. Feedback? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jun 2021 10:18 AM PDT they would be huts in the mountain with a cupule corps, a crafting table, a furnace, a bed, a chest with powder snow, the crops from outside, maybe some leather amour. they would be rid of life and a fence would surround them. there would also be a emerald in a item frame and a zombie villager roaming the hut. and that's it just a little hut that could be nice to rest in if you go explorning the mountains in the early game. Posted: 21 Jun 2021 11:49 AM PDT It makes no sense that a block that takes twice as long as to mine as stone has the same blast resistance as stone. Deepslate and associated blocks that can't ever be instamined should have a higher level of blast resistance. Much like endstone. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Jun 2021 10:48 PM PDT Orichalcium would be a new ore that would be found in the deep abyss of the end, unlike netherite that is a upgrade to diamond, orichalcium would be an upgrade to gold, placing any armor piece or tool on the smithing table and combining it with this material. -Orichalcium armor would be slightly stronger than iron with the plus of removing fall damage but the con of taking armor damage on water. -Orichalcium tools would deal all one point of damage more than iron tools, wich these tools also have faster attack speed and also mine faster than netherite. -You can combine orichalcium with rockets to make them stronger, thus making you go even faster with elytra. Posted: 21 Jun 2021 09:21 AM PDT Adventuring and exploring is of the most important aspects of Minecraft and considering how (almost) every resource can be automated there is little to no need for exploration. that said here's an idea on how to improve it. As the title suggest there are going to be some items only specific to loots found in certain areas here's some of them: •Jagged diamond sword : found only in the deepest of caves that apply bleeding effect (kind of like wither effect in how it works ). •Bows with slowness : (it's more the effect I would love a good name for these) enchant found only by killing strays (yeah remember those things ). •Forbidden Enchants : a higher level of vanilla enchanted books but with a risk of applying curses. •Mattock : (found only in plains villages) is a axe how hybrid. •Hunters axe : (iron) found only in woodland mansion(ever since introduction of raids these structures are of no use this maybe a way to make them more interesting) •Weakened TNTs : found in outpost that has the same AoE as normal TNT but with no terrain damage. •Leather covering : (found in cold biom villages) can be applied to boots to walk on powder snow and the full set for cold damage resistance. •Excavators : (found in desert villages and temples ) instamine dirt and sand with efficiency one and every other material with efficiency three And these are some of the ways to improve the whole exploration aspect of Minecraft.thanks for your patience and please leave me some suggestions and criticisms I'll be reading😃 (Also I know I shouldn't be posting tons of ideas at once but the whole post is about one thing and that's to make adventuring more rewarding and interesting so pardon me if it isn't quite sticking to the rules) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jun 2021 11:56 AM PDT Caches in mountains would be randomly occurring chests/barrels that can be found in the snow of mountains. They would have various essentials such as food, tools, water, leather armor and more things that would usually help mountaineers. These caches would be helpful for new players and intresting for older players. These caches are used in real life to hide food from animals and to keep food frozen. Why did the mountaineer not come back for his cache? Maybe because he got lost, forgot about it or maybe something tragic happened to him.. [link] [comments] |
More blast furnace, campfire and smoker smeltable items Posted: 21 Jun 2021 09:43 AM PDT Smokers should be able to cook sea pickle, chorus fruit, cactus and wet sponge Campfires should cook sea pickle, chorus fruit, cactus and log Blast furnace should smelt: sand; stone, sandstone, basalt, and quartz; cobblestone and cobbled deepslate; clay balls and netherrack; stone, blackstone and deepslate bricks and tiles; clay and terracotta [link] [comments] |
Piglin emote for Bedrock Edition Posted: 21 Jun 2021 01:19 PM PDT Self explanatory, would let you do the Piglin victory dance as an emote. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jun 2021 02:51 AM PDT Make it so you can change Skins midgame. like the Skin Swapper mod. I think vanilla minecraft needs this it would be very helpful. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jun 2021 11:53 AM PDT This would be a command that sets what biome a given area is classified as. This could be used to choose the specific variation of certain blocks anywhere you choose [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jun 2021 12:43 PM PDT The canyon would be a canyon [ yes I know huge surprise ] and it would extend to y -56 at lowest but at minimum would go down to y -12. there would be no stone, granite, diorite extra. Instead it would be terracotta and clay and but loads of diamonds coal iron gold emeralds that would make up the mesa canyon, but there'd also be the jungle canyon which at max would go down to y 16 and the desert canyon which would go down to y - 34. they would be made of grass, moss , trees , vines and a bit of stone and ores. while the desert canyon would be made of sand and sandstone along with a bit of grass going trough the bottom along with trees. there would always be rivers going trough the canyons along with grass trees and moss. now there would not be caves in the canyon except the mesa one where there would be a few. the mesa over all would be the hardest one to explore as it would be filled with creepers, spiders, husks, enderman extra. and that's it. Posted: 21 Jun 2021 03:19 PM PDT Looks like a Snow block, but has snow particles. if updated it becomes a powdered snow source block. Flows like water would, but flow is cold and causes frost damage instantly, AND! any solid block the slush flows over gets a powdered snow block on top replacing the "flowing slush" after 1-3 seconds. Stopping the avalanche and resetting the trap. [link] [comments] |
Liquids don’t disappear when breaking cauldrons Posted: 21 Jun 2021 04:43 PM PDT Basically if you mined a cauldron that's full of water lava or powdered snow it would drop the cauldron block and it would spawn the corresponding source block on its place. Would only work with full cauldrons [link] [comments] |
Some other name tag Easter eggs Posted: 21 Jun 2021 04:07 PM PDT Naming a parrot jeb_ would create an rgb for the parrot. I'd also like to see axolotls with an rgb. (The fins would start a different color) Naming a mooshroom "sarah" would turn it brown. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jun 2021 04:07 PM PDT We have large copper veins, we have large iron veins, why not large gold veins? I'm referring to the massive veins of iron and copper that spawn with a stone block and are really rare Large gold ore veins would be massive ore veins that would only spawn in the mesa biome. They would spawn with yellow terracotta as their corresponding block and could also have gold ore blocks in them like the large copper/iron ore veins. [link] [comments] |
Minecraft should be more open to Virtual Reality. Posted: 21 Jun 2021 02:38 PM PDT Minecraft is an open world, awesome and relaxing experience for all ages and millions of people enjoy it. This experience can be brightened if Minecraft had its own official VR mode for the game, and maybe some exclusives. What do you guys think? P.S.: Yes, I know, there is a mod called Vivecraft where you can play it in VR, but that is unofficial. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Jun 2021 08:34 PM PDT Awhile back, I made the idea of a cryovolcanic biome, which was Europa's cryovolcanoes but adapted to the Overworld. Here is the exact opposite, but adapted to the Overworld. I give you: Volcanic Biome! This biome features very rough terrain which is made of granite, diorite, andesite, deepslate, blackstone, and even basalt! Tons of basalt! Towering explosive volcanoes dot the landscape, making this a very treacherous biome to travel/live in. Lava lakes and rivers are found everywhere, and lava flows faster and further than usual in this biome due to extreme heat. It flows around the same as the Nether, so be careful! Water will still work here, but unless in a Cauldron, it will slowly evaporate over time, even with a source block, making pools impractical. From time to time, great plumes of campfire smoke particles will suddenly come out of the volcanoes along with lava particles and lava blocks running down the sides or outright exploding, violently sending gravel blocks everywhere. Gravel blocks represent pumice. Whenever a volcano starts erupting, a very loud rumbling sound takes place, and steam may vent from the volcano, and the camera shakes progressively more up and down until the volcano explodes. These volcanoes do not erupt unless 5-60 minutes have passed, which is also random. The gravel blocks that hit the ground also break apart. If the player stands inside the radius of the eruption (20-60) blocks depending on volcano size, there is heavy acid rain, which is green rain that progressively damages over time, and lots of lightning. The sky will also turn dark grey with a bit of reddish-orange tinge when an eruption happens and you are in the radius. If you manage to mine the cone, you will discover in the middle of the top is a new block known as an Eruption Block, this creates volcanic eruptions. This can be instamined, and will not burn up in lava. There is not much use in this block aside from Creative mode or griefing/protecting a house. It has a fire emblem printed on it with a black background. No passive mobs spawn here ever. The only mobs that spawn here are Magma Cubes, fire zombies, Skeletons, and occasionally Wither Skeletons (on Hard/Hardcore only), and other magma/lava mobs that may be added to the game. This biome is the closest you can get to Hell in the Overworld. Piglins and Hoglins never spawn here. Lots of bone blocks are generated here which heavily resemble dinosaurs like T-Rexes, Sauropods, Gallimimus, and Archeopteryx and far more. This suggests that the Volcano Biome was previously a lovely environment where dinosaurs ruled the biome, but were wiped out by excessive volcanic activity one day. The weather is constantly sunny here - this biome has the Dry characteristic, and is a warm biome, so snow golems melt. No villages generate here, as it's too dangerous to live. However, remains of villages can be found, indicating that civilisation tried to live there. However, these villages have been heavily decimated and eaten away by the natural forces. In some areas of the biome away from the volcanoes, is a massive forest of dead trees entirely devoid of leaf blocks. This is a forest that died during the volcanic eruptions. If this biome collides with a sea, the water surrounding the biome in the ocean is poisonous and has a lot of bubble columns that go up. If you don't have a fast enough machine, you might wanna turn off fancy graphics. Most high end smartphones, computers, and gaming consoles of today's age should be fine with this biome. This biome might also be popular with lag testers too! Servers might want this biome stripped out of the world generation via plugins. This biome was taken from Jupiter's moon Io, and adapted to the Overworld. It is the polar opposite to the Cryovolcanic Biome, which can be seen here: https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/comments/nx97ug/cryovolcanic_biome/ [link] [comments] |
I have a pet zombie piglin, and... Posted: 21 Jun 2021 01:52 PM PDT I wanted to give it my totem of undying, but it already had something in it's main hand. It would be a VERY small and feature, but it would be nice if they could hold totems in their off hand! It would be useful for all of the people that keep piglins as pets. (e.g. Tubbbo and Ranboo) [link] [comments] |
