Copper golems - With some twists

All the variants of copper golems

Usually, copper golems are either portrayed as automation golems or iron golem ripoffs. While both of these options do have some appeal, this post is trying to make a somewhat unique combat golem, which interacts with lightning.

Stats: (Under lighting conditions, will elaborate later)

    • Health: 75 HP (+ 10 absorption )
    • Speed: Player Speed (1.2 player speed)
    • Damage: 4 at normal difficulty (5)
    • Attack speed: 3 Hits per second (4 hits)

    Spawning:

The copper golem is summoned just like an iron golem, with the difference that any copper block that is not raw copper can be used to build the golem (only one type of block per golem), with it taking on the appearance of the blocks. They do not age, as the graphic may imply.

    Behaviour:

Copper golems will, similarily to an iron golem, attack any agressive mobs that are not creepers. They can also be healed with copper ingots, with them not being quite as efficient as with iron golems.

However, their movement can be bound to a lightning rod, as it will pick any nearby rod as its "home", never straying too far from it, while still attacking mobs outside the radious, it will always return to it. This radius is about 10 by 10 blocks, with them only attacking mobs up to 15 blocks away. It will only choose a lighting rod it can actually touch, so it will not be bound to any rooftops.

During thunderstorms, small "electric" - like particles will appear around the golem. This is to teach the player that something will happen once the golem is struck by lightning, which is that it gets buffed stats (listed in the stats section). They will get that buff from being around a lightning rod that is struck by lightning, being struck themselves, or a channeling trident hitting them. They do not get damaged by any damage sources that utilize lightning.

    TLDR.:

The golem is buffed by lightning, can be used as a guard using lightning rods and is a rather fast attacker.

Slabs should be able to have Carpets, fences, torches, rails, and more ontop of them

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 06:23 AM PDT

It would be amazing for building, i dont get why its not a thing, its so simple to add and it doesnt break the game in any way. Its a very simple addition that im sure many would like to have.

Netherite pressure plates only allow players to use.

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 08:09 AM PDT

Right now pressure plates have various options.

Wood allow all players, mobs and entities

Stone allow all players and mobs

Heavy and light pressure plates count items for various reasons

How about Netherite Pressure Plates for an only player option.

I don't believe it would be too OP because it's not an early game option, but could be fun to set up doors and have on/off switches for players only.

Cost: 2 Netherite Ingots like wood or stone

Make the crafting of blocks such as quartz and amethyst reversible

    Posted: 03 Aug 2021 04:29 PM PDT

Before anyone says anything, yes, I searched the FPS list for the terms "quartz," "reverse," and "uncraft," and found nothing related to this suggestion. In fact, I'm actually surprised it's not on that list.

To put into perspective how useful I think this would be, let's take a look at ore blocks such as coal, iron, and diamond. All of them can take 9 of their respective ores and condense them into a single item, but they can also be broken back down into individual pieces if needed. I say the same should be possible for things like quartz and amethyst, the latter of which is harder to come across, so being able to condense large amounts of it to transport home could be incredibly useful.

This idea could even extend to some of the more common materials--for example, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to turn string into wool, and then turn that wool back into string later.

And I know some people are going to say this doesn't make sense, so to put it into perspective: Diamond can be condensed and broken down even though it's a mineral like quartz and amethyst, and wheat can be condensed and broken down even though it's an pretty common resource like string.

    Lost Golem

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 06:57 AM PDT

Basically a mob that will spawn randomly, anywhere in the overworld. Context of this is basically an Iron Golem got lost, had its village killed and is now roaming around, trying to find a village. It will have cracks, dirty feet and overall a more mossy look. It will have 25% less health than a normal iron golem maybe a bit slower too.

When in creative, you shouldn't need banner patterns to make a banner in a loom

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 06:38 AM PDT

You would have the flower, snout, globe, thing, creeper, skeleton in the selection area

    Just a small QoA change

Powder Snow should slow your mining speed.

    Posted: 03 Aug 2021 07:33 PM PDT

I've tested it out, and Powder snow is a cool idea, but it's just a bad trap block. It kills you very slowly, and it's way too easy to get out of. All I'd have to do is just mine the snow up and I'll be able to escape it in less than a second. Having your mining speed drastically decreased while in Powder Snow would make it a much better trap, as it'll sort of be like a cobweb that hurts you.

    Red Eyes in the Caves

    Posted: 03 Aug 2021 05:24 PM PDT

When Crossing a cave hallway without any light sources (so it will be dark) there should be a pair of red eyes appearing in the cave hallway and makes some spooky ambience to spook players! then after a few seconds (3) it will close the eyes and when the players go to the eyes there will be nothing there!

    let calcite be less rare

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 08:30 AM PDT

it is just weird to me that diorite 2.0 is rarer than purple crystal and because its not reneweble so I suggest let either calcite blobs appear in the mountains or the not-confirmed ice caves, or make it crafteble.

    Rotten Flesh to tame Vultures

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 05:58 AM PDT

Not exactly very realistic about taming vultures, but it is realistic that vultures eat dead things and rotten flesh is obviously dead. Vultures in my mind would basically be like a bee with smite. (It would swarm mobs attacking the player in a group attack but do basically nothing to mobs that aren't undead, but be fairly powerful to mobs that are undead. (Zombies, skeletons, withers, etc.) This would also give rotten flesh a new use besides basically one other which is to trade to clerics, and other than that it is almost completely useless. (I'm pretty sure Mojang already said that Vultures would eventually be added so this is not a post about adding vultures it's about taming vultures.)

A table saw or woodcutting box would be such a good thing for my builds.

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 07:05 AM PDT

I love wooden stairs. The aesthetic, the sound. But the cost is soooo high. I get crafting fence. But stairs... can we please get a woodcutting box for stairs?

Zombies and skeletons spawn with better armor more often the further you go down into the caves.

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 12:30 PM PDT

This adds interesting lore and better gameplay progression. And in Deepslate caves no zombies or skeletons spawn with leather/gold armor.

Night vision is affected by the Warden.

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 08:26 AM PDT

The point of the warden dimming lights is to make the player more tense and to obscure the details of it according to kingbdogz. Night vision would cause the warden and deep dark to lose some of its scary factor so night vision should dim the same way torches do, not completely but enough to allow the deep dark to be dark and the warden to be more scary.

plants growing faster in their natural biomes

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 10:38 AM PDT

the effect would be something like +33%, you're limited to a certain area for certain plants anyways, plants depending on the biome could add some strategy to farming, but also give some bonus rewards, eventually it could be based on the temperature map (which is used while generating the world to not make deserts spawn next to cold biomes)

    some examples:

oak trees, birch trees, dark oak trees, sugar cane, wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroots, pumpkins - neutral biomes (like forests or plains)
    kelp - oceans
jungle trees, cocoa beans, watermelons, bamboo - jungle
    cacti - desert
    chorus trees - end
    berries, spruce trees - taiga

some biomes could slow down the growth as a downside if it turned out to be OP

    Sakura trees

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 05:18 AM PDT

I really miss Sakura trees in the game. They would look cool.

The stem would have a black bark, and the wood is the same color as the smithing table. (after all, I would like to build with that wood color, and it would benefit builders)

Bees should also count Sakura leaves as flowers, as these trees are constantly blooming.

What are your thoughts on this?

    quick smelting with lava cauldrons

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 08:09 AM PDT

simply click with a smeltable item on a cauldron with lava to insta-smelt it, 1/3 of the lava will be removed, so basically 1 bucket of lava can smelt 3 items instead of 100, also you have to do everything manually, so there's a price to pay

Birch leaves should be an orange fall color

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 02:55 PM PDT

As the title says, this would add more color to the game, and give birch forests their own flair

    The river update

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 07:59 AM PDT

Rivers seriously suck right not.. They regularly have large pieces of terrain blocking them(disrupting the water of the river), they all have the same biome tints, & they borrow a lot of their features from the ocean..

    -New river biomes:

    1. The Hot rivers generate between hot biomes, such as deserts or mesas (Will only have Sand & clay)
    2. Warm Rivers generate in-between Hot biomes and temperate biomes (plains, forests, etc) & in slightly warmer biomes like the jungle or the swamp. (will be filled with mud & clay)
    3. Lukewarm Rivers Generate in-between warmer biomes and temperate biomes & they also spawn in-between Hot biomes & Cold Biomes (will consist of sand & gravel)
    4. Temperate Rivers Generate plains such as, forests, plains, birch forests, etc (will have dirt & mud in it)
    5. Cold rivers generate in-between cold biomes & other biome types besides hot & cold biomes (will only have gravel in it)
    6. The frozen Rivers generate in-between in cold biomes (will only have gravel in it)
    7. Mooshy River: Would generate in-between Mushroom fields & any other biome that happens to generate there.. (Will only have sand)

    -The biome tints:

    1. would follow the schemes of the biomes they mimic (frozen rivers would have deep blue water with a biome tint like the frozen tundra, the warm Rivers would have a light blue water & bright green grass like the jungle, etc)

    -Plant generation:

    1. In the warmer biomes (Hot, warm, & mooshy) sugar cane would generate around rivers, lily pads would occasionally appear, and a plant called muckduck that could grow two blocks tall, would be slow to walk though and if the top reached the surface, it would have white flowers (it would serve a similar function to seagrass).
    2. The moderate biomes (lukewarm, Temperate)would rarely have sugarcane and Lilly pads, cattails would generate regularly, & another underwater plant called River Grass (It would be a duller color, and would a more dense variant of the original sea_grass
    3. The Cold biomes (cold & frozen) would rarely have cattails and there would be a final type of river grass with a dark tan tint.

-Fauna (Credit to Spaceguy for some of the fish types):

    1. Hot Rivers: paleprawn & treasure tilapia
    2. Warm: Eels, piranha, & neon-tetra
    3. Lukewarm: Cod & Salmon
    4. Temperate: catfish & Bluegill
    5. Cold: freezefin & Coy
    6. Frozen: Blue Cod & pale salmon
    7. Mooshy: Tropical Shroomfish (like the mooshroom, but a fish)

    -General Generation:

    1. Can Be Wider
    2. Will never be interrupted by the surrounding biomes (aka, will always be filled with water)

    -Mud (has two variants):

    1. Mud: Works like a traditional block with a slightly lighter texture than wet mud. Looks vaguely Similar to dry farmland.
    2. Wet Mud: Similar to powdered snow & The less common. Collected with a bucket, not fully solid, & hard to swim out of. Looks vaguely Similar to wet farmland.

gibe Azalea Trees a black bark, and the wood, the color of the smithing table wood

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 03:44 PM PDT

We've been missing the Wood for the Smithing Table. It has a woodcolor that isn't avaiable from any of the trees. Plus, the Azalea Tree lacks a unique trunk. So that would be useful for builders.
