    Welcome to Horizons!

    We are a Whitelist Vanilla SMP server and we've been here for more than a year! We just reset one week ago! With difficulty on hard and virtually no exploration limits, you are guaranteed a good Minecraft experience. We've gathered a lot of amazing and fun people during our first three seasons, but we are always looking for new players who can make our community even better!     Allium has been running since June of 2019 and we are currently on our fourth season. We pride ourselves on playing true vanilla and building up a great community. Though we have nearly 600 players, many of us are on a first-name basis and chat outside of Minecraft.     Hi there! The Diamond Dominion is a medium-sized SMP. With a heavy emphasis on community, all players either build at spawn or in a settled town. Infrastructure, like our Nether Hub and Shopping District, are currently in the works.

    The rules are simple: No Greifing, Hacking, Stealing, or unwanted PVP. All builds must be located within 150 blocks of spawn or in a previously settled town.

    RandomSkyBlock is a unique twist of the classic gamemode: Skyblock. You will be given a random item every 15 seconds (10 for new players) from any of the materials in the entire Minecraft catalog. Your luck will be tested, and you'll have to engineer your way to the top just as you would on an ordinary Skyblock server! If PvP is your jam, you can hop into our expansive warzone with the gear you acquire to pillage even more, whether it be through other players or our unique events that happen within.     Chertia [SMP] [Roleplay] {Story} {Events} {Whitelist} {1.17.1} {16+}

    Introduction

    Welcome to Chertia! Chertia is a semi-vanilla survival server set in a land of magic and monsters known as the Kingdom of Chertia. This server is heavily inspired by Mianite, but has evolved over time. We've created our own identity with completely new characters and an ongoing story that everyone is able to contribute to in some way or another.

    Throughout your adventures on Chertia, you will encounter and interact with interesting player and story characters. Regular (usually 2-4 times weekly) events ranging from fun games to perilous adventures will keep you engaged with the server in a unique way.

    The server is on normal difficulty and is hosted in Montréal, Québec. It runs on PaperMC (Purpur).

    Season 4 begins on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 5:45pm EDT.

    The Story

    You are thrown into the mysterious world of Ahiro, in the Kingdom of Chertia. More specifically, the province of Calytrix. Osmond, a character from Season 3, returns alongside a wide cast of all-new characters. The interactions between the player characters and story characters will play the central role this season.

    Additionally, each player has their own player character. You can visit our Character Guide to learn about creating a character.

    Server Events

    While the schedule shifts from week to week, the following is the norm at the moment:

    • Every Friday night, we host a major story event where some of the characters will be on the server, interacting with the players and advancing the server's storyline.
    • On most Saturdays or Sundays, we host Roleplay events where players have the opportunity to get into character and roleplay their hearts out, creating their own stories and fun moments that make Chertia special.
    • Other days, you might have the chance to run into a character - they'll log on whenever they feel like it and start interacting. Be prepared at all times!
    • We usually try to host 2-4 events per week, including game nights & pvp events!

    The Server

    Chertia is mainly a semi-vanilla survival server. While we do have plenty of custom features, items and enchantments, these are mostly optional and can be ignored if you wish for a more traditional 'vanilla survival' experience.

    There are some commands that might be useful to know as you begin your adventure on Chertia. For a list of most available commands, view the page here.

    Roleplay is not required, but there is often roleplay going on! We like to distinguish this with a dedicated 'in-character' chat mode, where each player can identify themselves as roleplaying (or wanting to roleplay) in the tablist and switch to a special 'character name'.

    Server Rules

    Please keep these in mind as you begin your adventure.

    1. You may not grief or steal from other players.
    2. You may not modify your client or exploit bugs to provide you with an unfair advantage over others.
    3. Be respectful of others.
    4. All farm designs must be approved by staff. Most automatic farms are not allowed.
    5. Do not spam chat, advertise, or self-promote (without permission). Keep chat in the relevant channels.
    6. Follow the roleplay & safety guidelines.
    7. The answer to the last question on the whitelist application is "velvet".

    To request placement on the whitelist, please join the Discord server here. We do ask that applicants are at least 16 years of age.

    Our Discord server is a friendly, welcoming place with its own set of rules linked in the document above. We have several different on-topic and off-topic channels, including an 'out-of-context' starboard channel (which is full of gems).

    Server Content

    Making Chertia content is strongly encouraged! Upload to YouTube, stream to Twitch, create screenshot galleries, draw some art, write character lore, anything your heart desires! Post it to the subreddit and the Discord for some visibility (and appreciation)! Chertia is a place to shape your own story and unleash your creativity. :)

    Datapacks & Custom Content

    There are a few datapacks on the server to improve the overall experience. They are:

    • Dragon Drops Elytra (VanillaTweaks)
    • Silence Mobs (VanillaTweaks)
    • Anti Enderman Grief (VanillaTweaks)
    • William Wythers' Overhauled Overworld

    There are also some additional alterations to the server, such as...

    • 20% of players sleeping will skip the night.
    • Discord/Minecraft connectivity - there is a #server-chat channel in Discord that relays communication between the Discord and the server. Like this!
    • Local chat - you can type @[radius] at the start of your message to send a local message (this won't appear in the Discord).
    • Emotes - do /e and bring up the emotes menu.
    • We have a Dynmap!

    Finally, there are some minor tweaks to mob spawning and other aspects of the server which tie into the story and concept. The server is vanilla survival at its core.

    Two Islands SMP [smp] {Australian} {1.17.1}

    Are you living in Australia and looking to play something like HermitCraft on the newest version of Minecraft?

    Two Islands SMP is a semi-vanilla 1.17.1 survival server that tries to keep the magic of a Minecraft world with a couple of good friends. All players live on one of two 1000x1000 islands so that you're never too far away from others. We are currently in the process of building a dedicated player base, looking for something long-term into the second part of the Caves and Cliffs update.

    Here are some of the things we do around the server:

    • Nether highways instead of /home and /back
    • Player ran markets with customer villager trades, so you can use diamonds to pay instead of a money plugin

    This is a server open to the public to explore and play on Minecraft 1.18 Experimental Snapshot 2, released on 07/13/2021. It includes all the newest terrain generation and biomes. There are no plugins or mods being used.

    Cupeidei's Realm [realms] {18+, hermitcraft-inspired}

    We are currently 18 players between the ages of 18-28, mainly consisting of women and some members in the LGBTQ+ community. Therefore we are looking for active long-term players that are between the ages of 18-28 and who's beliefs align with feminism/social rights movements etc. The majority of members are based in Europe, and some in the US.

    We're an active long-term community that play together on a vanilla hermitcraft-inspired bedrock realm, version 1.17.10. Some of the players share bases, others live by themselves. We enjoy community-based gameplay, where we help each other out, go exploring/mining together and join in on community projects together in the districts etc. We have a trust-based mini-game and shopping-district at spawn, and we're in the process of finishing our nether-hub which will connect all shared structures and player-bases.

    THE CLOSED HEART SMP [SMP]

    The Closed Heart SMP is a server that host as many people as it can. It is an experiment to see how people will interact with each other and treat resources. The more member we get the bigger the border will become.

    The server will last 1 week (Monday to Friday) until the world and seed is wiped and reset. On every Monday the new members will be whitelisted and will be the only people able to log in for the new 5 days.

    Saturday and Sunday will be recruiting days and the server will be in a "testing phase" meaning you can join the world and test yourself while we fix and recruit more members.

    Vellum doesn't just cater to character roleplay! Using the Towny and TownySiege plugins, players can form towns and nations to wage war with each other. Will you be a ruthless conqueror that wishes to expand the borders of their nation? Or do you wish to be a diplomatic mastermind that finds strength in allies? The choice is up to you!

    Custom Lore

    Tired of lore that copies Tolkein's work? Had enough of simplistic good and evil background nations? Well, we have something just for you! Vellum's lore is an original piece of writing that is easy to understand. The world is set in a medieval setting with some fantasy elements added to spice up the lore.

    Here is a snippet of our lore:

    After a magical cataclysm wiped out most of life in the surface, humanity would seek shelter in the underground. In these subterranean nations, extreme versions of pre-cataclysmic cultures and societies thrived. Meanwhile, the few survivors in the surface began to live nomadic lifestyles as they adapted to the hostile environment around them.

    For their part in causing the Cataclysm, most forms of magic were heavily stigmatized and forgotten. Only two forms of magic are still taught and practiced due to their extreme usefulness - alchemy and enchanting.

    200 years later and the effects of the Cataclysm have began to clear. Life is returning to the surface and humans have begun to leave their subterranean dwellings. New societies have began to form in the surface, the fate of this land is now on your hands!

    You're probably itching to jump into the server right away! However to make sure that everyone has a wonderful time and that only the most wonderful stories are created, you must fill up and an application form and create a sheet for your character using our template. You might think this is cruel, but you'd be surprised at the amount of people who apply without even reading the rules!

    How does roleplay work on the server?

    Vellum's server is equipped with the Medieval Roleplay Engine plugin. Players will roleplay in a separate chat, accessible by typing /rp in the chat. Actions can be roleplayed using the /emote command. Messages sent through these commands can only be read in a limited distance from the player to prevent metagaming.

    How do I join?

    In order to ensure roleplay quality, this server has a whitelist. Before you can join, you must go through our application process. To do so, simply join the discord linked below, read the rules, and fill up the application form.

    Stoneworks [Vanilla] {Roleplay} {1.16.5} {Lands}

    The Stoneworks Minecraft server is a worldbuilding, roleplaying and "lands" server. Stoneworks has a freaking wiki to keep track of all the events, and every single nation probably has a page on that wiki. For example, the nation of Yimmu-Audal on Rathnir has an insane amount of events, wars, and lore on their wiki. Also, by roleplaying, you can create your own character and give them an epic backstory.

    Stoneworks actually has 2 worlds, Rathnir, which has been around for about 7 months, and Eldham, which has been around for 2 months. I play on Eldham, and represent my town of Albora in the Valorian Senate. You can chose how you want to play, whether it be a simple farmer to a mighty nation leader who influences geopolitical events with a single announcements.
